Official Rules

When does the submission process begin and end?

Essays may be submitted between 12:00 AM Mountain Standard Time on November 1, 2013 and 12:00 AM Mountain Standard Time on June 1, 2014. The scholarship recipients will be notified by email on or about August 1, 2014.

What is the essay about?

In English, compose an essay of 500-600 words that answers the question: “What is one thing you look for in a potential employer and why is it so important?”

Who is eligible to apply?

Any student 18 years of age or older who plans to be enrolled in a four-year college or university sometime between August 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015 is encouraged to apply.

How are essays judged?

Essays are judged by creativity, specificity, and basic grammar.  We are looking for insightful essays that expand upon a specific point such as compensation, policies, culture, or opportunity.

How is my personal information used?

A minimum amount of personal information is needed to verify your submission and provide CEO.com with a means of contact should you become a scholarship recipient. This personal information is used for our internal records only and we will not share your personal information with any third-parties.

What scholarship awards are available? How do I redeem a scholarship?

The winner will receive a $2,500 college scholarship that will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient’s college or university.
