Douglas Baker is Ecolab CEO, chairman of the board, and president as the head of a global organization providing cleaning and sanitizing products for food services. After graduation from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he earned a degree in English.

After graduation, Douglas Baker worked for Proctor & Gamble in a variety of upper-level management positions. He then joined Ecolab working in various leadership positions in the marketing department. Douglas Baker worked as vice president and general manager of Kay Chemical Co., a smaller division of Ecolab. In 2002, Douglas Baker became COO and president, and then CEO in 2004.

Douglas Baker was chosen as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics in 2007 and one of the top 50 CEOs under 50 in 2008.
