- Description: The NewForm CEO on interest media, the dropshipping era of software, and why the best ads feel like talking to a friend.
- Author: Clint Betts

# The calculus kid betting against AI-generated ads

At 16, Hamza Alsamraee wrote a calculus textbook. Nobody was out there scouting for math books, so he started an Instagram account called [Daily Math](https://www.instagram.com/daily%5Fmath%5F/?ref=ceo.com) to sell it. The first post was a problem from the book scribbled on a piece of paper. It got two likes. He posted another the next day, then another, typesetting them so they looked clean.

"Slowly but surely, I grew the page," he said on the CEO.com Podcast. "I think at the peak, a couple hundred thousand followers or something like that. And across its lifespan, maybe 100 million plus impressions."

[Advanced Calculus Explored](https://www.amazon.com/Advanced-Calculus-Explored-Applications-Chemistry/dp/0578616823?ref=ceo.com) became a number one Amazon bestseller. A second book, Paradoxes, followed, and the two approached $1 million in combined sales. The National Museum of Mathematics gave him the [2020 Strogatz Prize for Math Communication](https://momath.org/strogatzprize/2020winners/?ref=ceo.com). An Iraqi television channel made a documentary about his journey. He was born in Baghdad. They called him Iraq's Einstein.

He is now a math major at Stanford and the co-founder and CEO of [NewForm](https://www.newform.com/?ref=ceo.com), a performance marketing company he bootstrapped past $3 million in annual recurring revenue with clients like Perplexity and Binance. The company started with something he noticed running the math page.

"Instagram has always been peddled as social media, but more and more, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, all these platforms have pivoted from that to become interest media," he said. Feeds used to be posts from friends. Now they are posts from strangers, matched to your interests by an algorithm. A page that did nothing but solve integral equations found a couple hundred thousand people who wanted exactly that. "The social media algorithms have gotten so good at matching content with the right audience that they're doing the heavy lifting for you."

He tested the idea at Faves, a venture-backed consumer app that hired him straight out of high school as its first growth hire. He made the TikTok ads himself and asked one question: what would look organic on the ideal customer's For You page? The app hit a million-dollar run rate in a few months. Then he started NewForm to do the same thing for other software companies. It now produces thousands of ads a month with a full in-house team and a studio in New York.

In Silicon Valley, ads are a dirty word. Founders brag about hitting milestones with zero marketing spend. Alsamraee hears something else in the boast. "Oh, wait, so you could have grown faster, you could have made more money, and didn't?"

E-commerce settled this argument two decades ago. Once Shopify, Klaviyo, and Alibaba let anyone start a brand, products converged, and the edge moved to marketing and distribution. Alsamraee thinks software just arrived at the same place. Compliance, brokerages, and payment rails that once took years to build can now be bought as a service. "We're in what we call the dropshipping era of software," he said. "If you're the 10th investing app and you're 10% better, that's probably not enough to get you 100 million users. You need to do marketing. And that's okay."

Which makes his other position stranger. NewForm does not use AI to make its ads. Every video comes from a human creator. He ran the numbers on the alternative: an advertiser managing $1 million a month loses $50,000 if AI-generated ads perform even five percent worse, and 100 human-made ads cost less than that. "The shiny thing is AI ads, AI ads, but the actual real value is in AI-assisted workflows," he said. "Cursor wasn't set out to replace programmers; it's meant to empower them."

The workflows are where the technology went. NewForm has a CTO and a product team, which most agencies do not, and in April 2025 it launched [WillBot](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/hamza-alsamraee%5Fexcited-to-introduce-willbot-the-first-ai-activity-7315390277601435648-frSG?ref=ceo.com), an agent it calls the first AI performance marketer. WillBot lives in Slack, syncs with Facebook and TikTok ad accounts, and watches the ad creative itself rather than just reading the dashboards. It can tell you whether female or male creators performed better, runs the company's creative testing automatically, and compares winners against losers to explain why an ad worked. The launch demo drew more than 12,000 comments on LinkedIn. Alsamraee says it made his team 10 times more productive.

Asked what separates a great short-form ad from a good one, he did not reach for a metric. "It's kind of very Rick Rubin-y; it has to flow," he said. "It needs to feel natural, it needs to feel like you're talking to a friend." A good ad covers the selling points. "Great ads flow well."

Every conversation on the CEO.com Podcast ends the same way: the chances one gives are just as important as the chances one takes, so who gave you a chance? Alsamraee pointed to Tyler, the CEO who hired him at Faves when the company was three people and he was fresh out of high school, then let him grow into owning product and growth. "Obviously, I worked really hard for that, but at the same time, I was young, and I was given a chance," he said. "He's like a big brother to me."

00:00:06.838 --> 00:00:10.847
Uh,<00:00:07.273> so<00:00:07.724> you've<00:00:07.901> done<00:00:08.142> so<00:00:08.786> much<00:00:09.897> incredible<00:00:10.396> things.

00:00:11.749 --> 00:00:12.457
I<00:00:11.765> appreciate<00:00:12.312> it.

00:00:12.972 --> 00:00:13.664
Like,<00:00:13.230> I'm<00:00:13.375> blown<00:00:13.552> away.

00:00:13.713 --> 00:00:15.323
Like,<00:00:14.164> you,<00:00:14.244> like,<00:00:14.582> I'm<00:00:14.840> still<00:00:15.049> in<00:00:15.146> college.

00:00:15.387 --> 00:00:15.951
I'm<00:00:15.629> 40.

00:00:16.031 --> 00:00:18.160
I<00:00:16.079> haven't<00:00:16.272> done<00:00:16.692> nearly<00:00:17.240> what<00:00:17.547> you've<00:00:18.063> done.

00:00:18.837 --> 00:00:20.789
I<00:00:18.918> know,<00:00:19.176> I<00:00:19.402> look<00:00:19.596> like<00:00:19.902> 70,<00:00:20.547> dude.

00:00:21.338 --> 00:00:27.619
That's<00:00:21.661> what<00:00:22.387> I—<00:00:22.725> um,<00:00:23.226> so,<00:00:23.919> uh,<00:00:24.081> tell<00:00:24.194> me<00:00:24.355> about<00:00:24.581> this<00:00:25.049> calculus<00:00:25.629> book<00:00:25.857> you<00:00:26.018> published<00:00:26.665> when<00:00:26.762> you<00:00:26.843> were<00:00:26.940> like<00:00:27.166> 16.

00:00:27.958 --> 00:00:32.052
By<00:00:28.055> the<00:00:28.136> way,<00:00:28.362> who<00:00:28.783> at<00:00:28.944> 16<00:00:30.656> writes<00:00:30.929> a<00:00:31.057> calculus<00:00:31.779> book.

00:00:32.661 --> 00:00:33.126
I<00:00:32.677> was<00:00:32.837> into<00:00:33.078> it.

00:00:33.174 --> 00:00:34.617
I<00:00:33.238> mean,<00:00:33.383> I<00:00:33.399> was<00:00:33.543> always<00:00:33.800> into<00:00:33.960> math<00:00:34.217> growing<00:00:34.521> up.

00:00:34.698 --> 00:00:35.692
Unbelievable,<00:00:35.403> man.

00:00:35.788 --> 00:00:36.494
It's<00:00:35.884> so<00:00:36.125> cool.

00:00:37.007 --> 00:00:41.802
I<00:00:37.023> mean,<00:00:37.231> writing<00:00:37.568> it<00:00:37.632> was<00:00:37.809> the<00:00:38.594> easy<00:00:38.851> part<00:00:39.172> compared<00:00:39.573> to,<00:00:40.198> I<00:00:40.214> mean,<00:00:41.160> marketing<00:00:41.657> it.

00:00:41.962 --> 00:00:44.592
I<00:00:42.155> would<00:00:42.283> say<00:00:42.523> like,<00:00:43.117> I<00:00:43.245> mean,<00:00:43.502> I<00:00:43.582> grew<00:00:43.806> up<00:00:43.967> liking<00:00:44.303> math.

00:00:45.650 --> 00:00:52.530
I,<00:00:46.212> you<00:00:46.244> know,<00:00:46.452> was<00:00:46.773> pretty<00:00:47.014> into<00:00:47.254> it,<00:00:47.382> so<00:00:47.591> it<00:00:47.671> felt<00:00:47.912> natural,<00:00:48.954> but<00:00:49.355> not,<00:00:49.980> you<00:00:50.076> know,<00:00:50.141> a<00:00:50.237> whole<00:00:50.381> lot<00:00:50.558> of<00:00:50.622> people<00:00:51.183> are<00:00:51.263> out<00:00:51.456> there<00:00:51.600> scouting<00:00:51.985> for<00:00:52.081> math<00:00:52.466> books.

00:00:52.578 --> 00:00:53.829
So<00:00:52.722> I<00:00:52.803> needed<00:00:53.123> a<00:00:53.188> way<00:00:53.284> to<00:00:53.380> sell<00:00:53.701> it.

00:00:54.230 --> 00:00:58.766
And<00:00:55.112> I'd<00:00:55.208> say,<00:00:55.930> you<00:00:56.026> know,<00:00:56.106> it's<00:00:56.234> like,<00:00:56.908> it's<00:00:57.052> one<00:00:57.292> thing<00:00:57.533> to<00:00:58.350> write<00:00:58.574> the<00:00:58.654> book.

00:00:58.831 --> 00:01:01.330
It<00:00:58.879> was<00:00:59.071> a<00:00:59.103> whole<00:00:59.231> nother<00:00:59.536> thing<00:00:59.776> to<00:01:00.417> try<00:01:00.657> to<00:01:00.801> get<00:01:00.913> it<00:01:01.042> out<00:01:01.218> there.

00:01:02.179 --> 00:01:09.309
And<00:01:02.404> ultimately<00:01:03.061> that's<00:01:03.365> how<00:01:04.086> I<00:01:04.182> am<00:01:04.326> where<00:01:04.422> I<00:01:04.583> am<00:01:04.743> today<00:01:04.983> is<00:01:05.063> like<00:01:05.704> the<00:01:05.865> exercise<00:01:06.505> of<00:01:06.586> trying<00:01:06.778> to<00:01:06.890> find<00:01:07.627> a<00:01:07.691> community<00:01:08.428> to<00:01:08.572> promote<00:01:08.893> this<00:01:09.005> to.

00:01:09.422 --> 00:01:11.697
So<00:01:09.934> I<00:01:10.575> ended<00:01:10.751> up<00:01:10.832> starting<00:01:11.216> a<00:01:11.472> page.

00:01:11.777 --> 00:01:18.971
The<00:01:11.857> whole<00:01:12.434> idea<00:01:13.459> behind<00:01:14.661> the<00:01:14.757> page<00:01:14.997> I<00:01:15.013> started,<00:01:15.302> I<00:01:15.398> started<00:01:15.702> a<00:01:15.718> math<00:01:16.023> page<00:01:16.215> in<00:01:16.343> high<00:01:16.440> school<00:01:17.321> and<00:01:17.465> I<00:01:17.481> was<00:01:17.561> just<00:01:17.962> a<00:01:18.266> very<00:01:18.587> boring<00:01:18.843> name.

00:01:19.051 --> 00:01:20.093
I<00:01:19.067> just<00:01:19.243> called<00:01:19.420> it<00:01:19.548> Daily<00:01:19.804> Math.

00:01:20.205 --> 00:01:23.826
I'd<00:01:20.285> post<00:01:20.589> every<00:01:20.766> day<00:01:22.272> and<00:01:22.688> it<00:01:22.752> was<00:01:22.993> all<00:01:23.089> to<00:01:23.233> promote<00:01:23.506> the<00:01:23.650> book.

00:01:23.874 --> 00:01:28.680
Honestly,<00:01:24.211> it<00:01:24.259> was<00:01:24.307> like,<00:01:25.250> my<00:01:25.800> way<00:01:26.220> of<00:01:26.580> getting<00:01:26.660> organic<00:01:27.040> traction<00:01:27.500> for<00:01:27.740> it.

00:01:28.680 --> 00:01:30.060
That's<00:01:29.100> so<00:01:29.220> smart.

00:01:30.060 --> 00:01:30.810
So<00:01:30.061> it's<00:01:30.380> like<00:01:30.480> a<00:01:30.560> blog.

00:01:31.000 --> 00:01:31.590
Is<00:01:31.020> that<00:01:31.160> what<00:01:31.260> you're<00:01:31.340> talking<00:01:31.341> about?

00:01:31.660 --> 00:01:35.340
Like<00:01:31.680> you're<00:01:32.060> publishing<00:01:32.480> or<00:01:33.640> like<00:01:33.800> what,<00:01:34.080> what<00:01:34.640> is<00:01:34.860> it<00:01:34.960> exactly?

00:01:35.340 --> 00:01:36.360
It<00:01:35.520> was<00:01:35.521> an<00:01:35.660> Instagram<00:01:35.920> page.

00:01:36.360 --> 00:01:38.700
So<00:01:36.361> I<00:01:36.460> mean,<00:01:37.440> like,<00:01:37.441> oh,<00:01:37.560> I<00:01:37.620> see<00:01:37.840> what<00:01:37.980> you're<00:01:38.700> saying.

00:01:38.700 --> 00:01:39.020
Okay.

00:01:39.230 --> 00:01:39.300
Yeah,<00:01:39.280> yeah,<00:01:39.300> yeah.

00:01:39.300 --> 00:01:39.790
It's<00:01:39.301> for<00:01:39.440> reels.

00:01:40.100 --> 00:01:41.820
So<00:01:40.180> this<00:01:40.320> was<00:01:40.520> like<00:01:40.720> actual<00:01:41.080> just<00:01:41.360> images.

00:01:41.820 --> 00:01:50.700
I<00:01:42.060> would<00:01:42.360> scribble<00:01:42.620> down,<00:01:43.220> like<00:01:43.460> my<00:01:43.680> first<00:01:43.960> post<00:01:44.620> scribbled<00:01:45.800> down<00:01:46.040> something<00:01:46.320> on<00:01:46.480> a<00:01:46.600> piece<00:01:46.680> of<00:01:46.840> paper,<00:01:47.360> like<00:01:47.400> it<00:01:47.480> was<00:01:47.520> like<00:01:47.660> a<00:01:47.760> problem<00:01:47.900> from<00:01:48.080> the<00:01:48.180> book<00:01:48.500> and<00:01:49.040> I<00:01:49.200> posted<00:01:49.520> it,<00:01:49.800> got<00:01:50.060> 2<00:01:50.320> likes.

00:01:51.126 --> 00:01:55.564
Kind<00:01:51.366> of<00:01:51.398> got<00:01:51.703> the<00:01:51.863> dopamine<00:01:52.263> hit,<00:01:52.888> uh,<00:01:53.321> another<00:01:54.090> one<00:01:54.347> and<00:01:55.068> the<00:01:55.148> third.

00:01:55.629 --> 00:02:01.189
And<00:01:55.949> I<00:01:55.965> started<00:01:56.590> kind<00:01:56.734> of<00:01:56.830> typesetting<00:01:57.455> it,<00:01:58.257> um,<00:01:58.850> so,<00:01:59.250> you<00:01:59.330> know,<00:01:59.458> it<00:01:59.539> looked<00:01:59.779> nice<00:02:00.196> and,<00:02:00.596> and<00:02:00.821> clean.

00:02:01.237 --> 00:02:03.320
And,<00:02:01.798> you<00:02:01.830> know,<00:02:02.503> I<00:02:02.583> would<00:02:02.663> just<00:02:02.824> post<00:02:03.064> every<00:02:03.224> day.

00:02:03.481 --> 00:02:04.410
That,<00:02:03.801> that<00:02:03.849> was<00:02:03.977> the<00:02:04.041> whole<00:02:04.282> thing.

00:02:04.522 --> 00:02:07.134
And<00:02:04.987> slowly<00:02:05.564> but<00:02:05.724> surely,<00:02:06.189> I<00:02:06.525> grew<00:02:06.702> the<00:02:06.830> page.

00:02:07.423 --> 00:02:16.829
I<00:02:07.631> think<00:02:07.791> at<00:02:07.823> a—<00:02:08.352> at<00:02:08.448> the<00:02:08.528> peak,<00:02:09.506> a<00:02:09.570> couple<00:02:09.810> hundred<00:02:10.051> thousand<00:02:10.371> followers,<00:02:10.916> like,<00:02:11.589> or<00:02:11.653> something<00:02:11.894> like<00:02:12.054> that,<00:02:12.599> um,<00:02:13.320> and<00:02:13.752> across<00:02:14.217> its<00:02:14.762> lifespan,<00:02:15.179> maybe<00:02:15.419> 100<00:02:15.611> million<00:02:16.140> plus<00:02:16.380> impressions.

00:02:17.070 --> 00:02:17.951
That's<00:02:17.342> incredible.

00:02:18.127 --> 00:02:20.483
And<00:02:18.207> then<00:02:18.304> you<00:02:18.624> publish<00:02:19.025> the<00:02:19.169> book,<00:02:19.506> it<00:02:19.586> goes<00:02:19.906> viral.

00:02:20.612 --> 00:02:25.965
Um,<00:02:21.092> you<00:02:21.189> pull—<00:02:21.573> it<00:02:21.685> says<00:02:21.990> here,<00:02:22.551> tell<00:02:22.695> me<00:02:22.791> if<00:02:22.936> this<00:02:23.112> is<00:02:23.192> true,<00:02:23.416> you<00:02:23.513> pulled<00:02:23.817> in<00:02:24.138> nearly<00:02:24.619> $1<00:02:24.795> million<00:02:25.372> in<00:02:25.516> sales.

00:02:26.221 --> 00:02:27.375
That<00:02:26.398> was<00:02:26.638> across<00:02:26.959> two<00:02:27.119> books.

00:02:27.423 --> 00:02:31.639
I<00:02:27.455> mean,<00:02:27.984> it—<00:02:28.385> then,<00:02:28.706> uh,<00:02:29.283> yeah,<00:02:29.539> like<00:02:29.827> it<00:02:29.908> was<00:02:30.148> under<00:02:30.308> that<00:02:30.485> number,<00:02:31.030> but<00:02:31.142> it<00:02:31.190> was<00:02:31.302> a<00:02:31.366> good<00:02:31.526> bit.

00:02:32.328 --> 00:02:35.533
I<00:02:32.344> don't<00:02:32.488> keep<00:02:32.889> most<00:02:33.193> of<00:02:33.225> that,<00:02:33.514> Amazon<00:02:33.850> takes,<00:02:34.171> uh,<00:02:34.556> most<00:02:34.812> of<00:02:34.972> it.

00:02:36.335 --> 00:02:37.264
You're<00:02:36.575> rich,<00:02:36.976> dude.

00:02:37.617 --> 00:02:48.678
No,<00:02:38.178> you're<00:02:38.579> rich<00:02:39.140> for<00:02:39.396> all—<00:02:39.620> and<00:02:39.684> then<00:02:39.781> you<00:02:39.845> had<00:02:39.941> this<00:02:40.101> documentary<00:02:40.726> which<00:02:40.903> is<00:02:40.935> super<00:02:41.287> cool,<00:02:41.624> um,<00:02:42.265> which<00:02:42.505> kind<00:02:42.666> of<00:02:42.730> goes<00:02:42.970> into<00:02:44.092> how<00:02:44.413> you<00:02:44.589> built<00:02:44.893> that<00:02:45.294> distributed<00:02:46.833> products,<00:02:47.379> things<00:02:47.555> like,<00:02:47.860> things<00:02:48.037> of<00:02:48.101> that<00:02:48.277> nature.

00:02:49.240 --> 00:02:53.940
And<00:02:49.320> now<00:02:49.480> you're<00:02:49.625> at<00:02:49.657> Stanford,<00:02:50.250> you're<00:02:50.314> an<00:02:50.443> undergrad,<00:02:51.229> and<00:02:51.469> you're<00:02:51.806> the<00:02:51.951> founder<00:02:52.528> and<00:02:52.688> CEO<00:02:53.154> of<00:02:53.250> NewForm.

00:02:54.613 --> 00:02:57.372
Let's<00:02:54.838> start<00:02:55.095> there,<00:02:55.800> or,<00:02:56.201> um,<00:02:56.923> move<00:02:57.164> to<00:02:57.260> there.

00:02:57.966 --> 00:03:00.950
Tell<00:02:58.078> me<00:02:58.223> about<00:02:58.463> NewForm<00:02:59.185> and<00:02:59.330> how<00:02:59.490> you<00:02:59.586> became<00:02:59.907> the<00:02:59.987> founder<00:03:00.372> and<00:03:00.452> CEO.

00:03:01.495 --> 00:03:02.153
Um,<00:03:01.816> sure.

00:03:02.297 --> 00:03:08.216
I<00:03:02.313> mean,<00:03:02.778> honestly,<00:03:03.981> the,<00:03:05.024> the<00:03:05.120> impetus<00:03:05.906> started<00:03:06.468> from<00:03:07.126> that<00:03:07.286> Mathpage<00:03:07.767> experience.

00:03:08.826 --> 00:03:13.141
So<00:03:09.628> essentially<00:03:10.093> what<00:03:10.478> I<00:03:10.558> realized,<00:03:10.975> Instagram<00:03:11.441> has<00:03:11.553> always<00:03:11.777> peddled<00:03:12.114> as<00:03:12.355> a<00:03:12.419> social<00:03:12.884> media.

00:03:13.686 --> 00:03:13.782
Right?

00:03:13.863 --> 00:03:20.452
But<00:03:14.087> more<00:03:14.263> and<00:03:14.360> more<00:03:14.648> Instagram,<00:03:15.306> TikTok,<00:03:16.268> Facebook,<00:03:16.733> all<00:03:16.765> these<00:03:16.861> platforms<00:03:17.935> have<00:03:18.095> pivoted<00:03:18.528> from<00:03:18.753> that<00:03:19.090> to<00:03:19.234> become<00:03:19.555> interest<00:03:20.196> media.

00:03:20.661 --> 00:03:31.291
So,<00:03:21.158> you<00:03:21.495> know,<00:03:21.863> when<00:03:22.024> I<00:03:22.040> started<00:03:22.825> the<00:03:22.922> page,<00:03:23.226> and<00:03:23.483> this<00:03:23.643> was<00:03:23.723> 2019,<00:03:24.509> this<00:03:24.830> shift<00:03:25.086> was<00:03:25.246> already<00:03:25.487> starting<00:03:25.776> to<00:03:25.888> happen<00:03:26.770> and<00:03:26.850> it<00:03:27.010> really<00:03:27.315> accelerated<00:03:28.132> in<00:03:28.293> 2020,<00:03:29.095> 2021<00:03:29.816> with<00:03:29.880> the<00:03:30.040> rise<00:03:30.361> of<00:03:30.457> short-form<00:03:30.922> content.

00:03:31.836 --> 00:03:40.526
So<00:03:32.317> essentially<00:03:32.927> you<00:03:33.007> went<00:03:33.247> from<00:03:33.969> most<00:03:34.241> of<00:03:34.305> the<00:03:34.386> posts<00:03:34.690> you<00:03:34.770> see<00:03:35.011> on<00:03:35.091> your<00:03:35.187> feed<00:03:35.492> are<00:03:35.572> from<00:03:35.732> friends<00:03:36.630> to<00:03:37.272> most<00:03:37.592> of<00:03:37.656> the<00:03:37.753> posts<00:03:37.993> you<00:03:38.089> see<00:03:38.394> are<00:03:38.618> random<00:03:38.875> people<00:03:39.436> that<00:03:39.532> are<00:03:39.661> just<00:03:39.821> tied<00:03:40.013> to<00:03:40.078> your<00:03:40.238> interests.

00:03:41.264 --> 00:03:44.501
And<00:03:41.344> I<00:03:41.440> thought<00:03:41.745> the<00:03:41.970> biggest<00:03:42.322> proof<00:03:42.643> of<00:03:42.723> that<00:03:43.187> was<00:03:43.908> the<00:03:43.989> math<00:03:44.309> page.

00:03:44.662 --> 00:03:49.373
I<00:03:44.694> was<00:03:44.806> like,<00:03:44.966> I<00:03:44.982> mean,<00:03:45.912> it,<00:03:46.152> it<00:03:46.232> was<00:03:46.809> pretty<00:03:47.674> like<00:03:48.011> niche<00:03:48.492> topics<00:03:49.036> I<00:03:49.116> would<00:03:49.277> cover.

00:03:49.437 --> 00:03:52.946
I<00:03:49.838> like,<00:03:50.414> the<00:03:50.495> page's<00:03:51.200> first<00:03:51.536> name<00:03:51.680> was<00:03:51.841> actually<00:03:52.097> Daily<00:03:52.498> Integrals.

00:03:53.443 --> 00:03:56.552
Um,<00:03:53.844> like<00:03:54.084> I<00:03:54.180> would<00:03:54.405> literally<00:03:54.661> just<00:03:54.901> only<00:03:55.142> solve<00:03:55.847> integral<00:03:56.183> equations.

00:03:57.449 --> 00:04:00.125
Uh,<00:03:57.690> and<00:03:57.786> somehow<00:03:58.587> that<00:03:58.827> found<00:03:59.084> its<00:03:59.308> way<00:03:59.565> to<00:03:59.773> a<00:03:59.805> market.

00:04:00.494 --> 00:04:01.439
It,<00:04:00.670> it's<00:04:00.830> a<00:04:00.911> niche<00:04:01.231> thing.

00:04:01.632 --> 00:04:03.442
Like,<00:04:02.048> there's<00:04:02.257> a<00:04:02.417> bunch<00:04:02.673> of<00:04:02.753> these<00:04:02.930> examples.

00:04:03.523 --> 00:04:13.329
Like<00:04:03.891> some<00:04:04.116> people<00:04:04.356> are<00:04:04.500> into<00:04:04.676> like<00:04:05.301> very<00:04:05.462> specific<00:04:06.022> animes,<00:04:06.535> some<00:04:06.760> people<00:04:07.160> are<00:04:07.304> into<00:04:07.545> like<00:04:08.362> I<00:04:08.378> don't<00:04:08.522> know,<00:04:08.763> like<00:04:08.939> a<00:04:08.987> specific<00:04:09.708> brand,<00:04:10.125> like,<00:04:10.525> you<00:04:10.621> know,<00:04:10.782> a<00:04:10.846> specific<00:04:11.310> brand,<00:04:11.503> like<00:04:11.807> Harleys<00:04:12.368> are<00:04:12.448> like<00:04:12.608> a<00:04:12.688> big<00:04:12.833> thing,<00:04:13.233> right?

00:04:13.410 --> 00:04:20.476
Like,<00:04:14.195> um,<00:04:14.708> so<00:04:15.813> we<00:04:15.893> saw<00:04:16.150> this<00:04:16.374> kind<00:04:16.550> of<00:04:16.775> idea<00:04:17.239> like<00:04:18.361> of<00:04:18.697> this<00:04:19.018> new<00:04:19.403> form<00:04:19.675> of<00:04:19.819> marketing,<00:04:20.364> right?

00:04:20.540 --> 00:04:27.046
Like<00:04:21.261> new<00:04:21.422> form<00:04:21.646> of<00:04:21.726> marketing<00:04:22.063> is<00:04:22.159> essentially<00:04:22.784> content<00:04:23.761> first,<00:04:24.690> media<00:04:25.091> and<00:04:25.347> like<00:04:25.428> kind<00:04:25.572> of<00:04:25.668> targeting<00:04:26.133> audiences<00:04:26.533> second.

00:04:27.511 --> 00:04:33.423
Historically,<00:04:28.152> marketing<00:04:28.536> has<00:04:28.632> always<00:04:28.953> been<00:04:29.754> do<00:04:29.914> a<00:04:30.074> big<00:04:30.555> kind<00:04:30.731> of<00:04:30.860> brand<00:04:31.116> campaign,<00:04:31.757> try<00:04:31.917> to<00:04:32.077> target<00:04:32.638> the<00:04:32.783> right<00:04:33.023> user.

00:04:33.520 --> 00:04:37.416
Maybe,<00:04:33.920> you<00:04:34.161> know,<00:04:34.305> you're,<00:04:34.866> ideal<00:04:35.186> customer<00:04:35.684> is<00:04:35.844> a,<00:04:36.165> a<00:04:36.181> middle-aged<00:04:36.950> mom,<00:04:37.351> right?

00:04:37.464 --> 00:04:44.568
So<00:04:37.672> you<00:04:37.704> would<00:04:37.865> like<00:04:38.474> have<00:04:38.650> a<00:04:38.731> big<00:04:38.955> brand<00:04:39.196> campaign<00:04:39.693> and<00:04:39.853> do<00:04:39.997> your<00:04:40.174> best<00:04:40.495> to<00:04:40.639> try<00:04:40.735> to,<00:04:41.280> you<00:04:41.329> know,<00:04:41.441> kind<00:04:41.553> of<00:04:42.162> get<00:04:42.339> that<00:04:42.644> audience,<00:04:43.205> get<00:04:43.365> that<00:04:43.542> ad<00:04:43.622> in<00:04:43.702> front<00:04:43.878> of<00:04:43.942> that<00:04:44.167> audience.

00:04:44.969 --> 00:04:46.123
More<00:04:45.129> and<00:04:45.177> more<00:04:45.370> it's<00:04:45.546> the<00:04:45.690> opposite.

00:04:46.172 --> 00:04:50.918
It's<00:04:46.284> like,<00:04:46.573> actually,<00:04:46.893> how<00:04:47.070> can<00:04:47.230> I<00:04:47.246> speak<00:04:47.615> the<00:04:47.711> language<00:04:48.369> of<00:04:48.433> my<00:04:48.593> customer<00:04:49.716> and<00:04:50.181> have<00:04:50.437> them<00:04:50.598> find<00:04:50.822> me?

00:04:51.031 --> 00:04:59.338
Because<00:04:51.303> these<00:04:51.544> algorithms,<00:04:52.121> the<00:04:52.185> social<00:04:52.506> media<00:04:52.666> algorithms,<00:04:52.971> have<00:04:53.083> gotten<00:04:53.308> so<00:04:53.645> good<00:04:54.591> at<00:04:54.831> matching<00:04:55.329> content<00:04:56.211> with<00:04:56.435> the<00:04:56.515> right<00:04:56.836> audience<00:04:57.718> that<00:04:57.814> they're<00:04:58.039> doing<00:04:58.215> the<00:04:58.279> heavy<00:04:58.536> lifting<00:04:58.873> for<00:04:59.177> you.

00:04:59.739 --> 00:05:09.248
So<00:05:00.300> that's<00:05:01.342> kind<00:05:01.503> of<00:05:01.583> the<00:05:01.727> insight<00:05:02.609> that<00:05:02.705> I<00:05:02.786> had,<00:05:03.411> um,<00:05:04.373> in<00:05:04.694> from<00:05:04.854> my<00:05:04.966> math<00:05:05.271> page,<00:05:06.153> eventually<00:05:06.554> kind<00:05:06.682> of<00:05:06.795> implemented<00:05:07.901> it<00:05:07.997> at<00:05:08.093> a<00:05:08.158> company<00:05:08.639> called<00:05:08.799> Faves.

00:05:09.585 --> 00:05:15.294
Um,<00:05:09.681> I<00:05:09.745> was<00:05:09.922> part<00:05:10.050> of<00:05:10.082> the<00:05:10.146> founding<00:05:10.467> team,<00:05:10.948> was<00:05:11.108> kind<00:05:11.204> of<00:05:11.237> the<00:05:11.349> first<00:05:11.670> like<00:05:12.167> marketing<00:05:12.648> growth<00:05:12.952> hire,<00:05:13.915> and,<00:05:14.556> you<00:05:14.588> know,<00:05:14.684> scaled<00:05:15.053> that.

00:05:15.695 --> 00:05:18.084
You<00:05:15.855> know,<00:05:16.160> it<00:05:16.320> was<00:05:16.416> a<00:05:16.480> consumer<00:05:16.881> app,<00:05:17.218> like<00:05:17.394> subscription<00:05:17.940> app.

00:05:18.725 --> 00:05:23.536
Um,<00:05:19.126> we<00:05:19.222> turned<00:05:19.607> down<00:05:20.265> monetization<00:05:21.051> and<00:05:21.307> scaled<00:05:21.644> it<00:05:21.708> to<00:05:21.868> a<00:05:21.933> million<00:05:22.189> dollar<00:05:22.430> run<00:05:22.590> rate<00:05:22.991> in<00:05:23.087> a<00:05:23.135> few<00:05:23.296> months.

00:05:24.338 --> 00:05:26.086
Uh,<00:05:24.595> and<00:05:24.675> that<00:05:24.819> was<00:05:25.076> through<00:05:25.460> TikTok<00:05:25.877> ads.

00:05:26.214 --> 00:05:32.112
I<00:05:26.278> was<00:05:26.423> like<00:05:26.583> one<00:05:26.679> of<00:05:26.711> the<00:05:26.824> first<00:05:27.160> to<00:05:28.042> start<00:05:28.282> doing<00:05:28.443> TikTok<00:05:28.923> ads,<00:05:29.869> and<00:05:29.949> I<00:05:30.045> would<00:05:30.189> make<00:05:30.430> all<00:05:30.462> the<00:05:30.542> content<00:05:31.632> I<00:05:31.712> would<00:05:31.872> like.

00:05:32.289 --> 00:05:36.054
And<00:05:32.833> my—<00:05:33.010> the<00:05:33.234> only<00:05:33.410> thing<00:05:33.635> I<00:05:33.651> would<00:05:33.715> think<00:05:33.955> of<00:05:33.987> is<00:05:34.115> like,<00:05:34.756> what<00:05:34.933> is<00:05:35.109> our<00:05:35.157> ideal<00:05:35.494> customer?

00:05:36.359 --> 00:05:39.035
What<00:05:36.519> would<00:05:36.679> it—<00:05:36.920> what<00:05:37.080> would<00:05:37.336> look<00:05:37.577> organic<00:05:38.138> on<00:05:38.218> their<00:05:38.362> For<00:05:38.522> You<00:05:38.699> page?

00:05:39.436 --> 00:05:43.634
Make<00:05:39.804> ads<00:05:39.981> with<00:05:40.061> that<00:05:40.285> in<00:05:40.381> mind,<00:05:40.862> and<00:05:41.247> naturally,<00:05:41.823> like,<00:05:42.529> it<00:05:42.609> hits<00:05:42.865> the<00:05:42.945> target<00:05:43.330> audience.

00:05:44.147 --> 00:05:53.281
So<00:05:45.012> that's,<00:05:45.653> you<00:05:45.701> know,<00:05:45.830> after<00:05:46.070> that<00:05:46.246> experience,<00:05:46.775> I<00:05:46.855> realized<00:05:47.256> like<00:05:47.913> not<00:05:48.073> a<00:05:48.089> lot<00:05:48.297> of<00:05:48.378> people<00:05:49.019> knew<00:05:49.115> how<00:05:49.195> to<00:05:49.339> do<00:05:49.435> this<00:05:49.932> new<00:05:50.140> thing<00:05:50.637> of<00:05:50.717> like<00:05:50.877> how<00:05:50.958> to<00:05:51.102> do<00:05:51.358> marketing<00:05:51.839> that<00:05:52.464> in<00:05:52.560> this<00:05:52.672> new<00:05:52.800> paradigm.

00:05:53.538 --> 00:05:54.566
So<00:05:53.586> that's<00:05:53.763> why<00:05:53.891> we<00:05:53.923> started<00:05:54.228> Newform.

00:05:55.047 --> 00:05:59.593
And<00:05:55.128> today,<00:05:55.690> like,<00:05:55.915> so<00:05:56.027> Newform<00:05:56.348> is<00:05:56.493> a<00:05:57.023> growth<00:05:57.280> marketing<00:05:57.617> partner<00:05:58.340> primarily<00:05:58.661> for<00:05:58.822> software<00:05:59.288> companies.

00:05:59.641 --> 00:06:02.532
So<00:06:00.348> we<00:06:01.086> see<00:06:01.375> companies<00:06:01.729> at<00:06:01.809> a<00:06:01.857> very<00:06:02.018> unique<00:06:02.275> stage.

00:06:02.580 --> 00:06:19.621
We<00:06:02.612> work<00:06:02.821> with<00:06:02.901> a<00:06:02.917> lot<00:06:03.094> of<00:06:03.222> like<00:06:03.624> VC-backed<00:06:04.122> companies<00:06:04.684> called<00:06:04.845> Series<00:06:05.310> A,<00:06:05.471> B,<00:06:05.583> C,<00:06:05.889> D,<00:06:06.591> a<00:06:06.611> lot<00:06:06.772> of<00:06:06.933> AI<00:06:07.318> apps,<00:06:08.860> you<00:06:08.940> know,<00:06:09.085> kind<00:06:09.181> of<00:06:09.261> at<00:06:09.406> the,<00:06:10.546> that<00:06:11.574> I<00:06:11.590> would<00:06:11.687> say<00:06:11.815> inflection<00:06:12.297> point<00:06:12.634> in<00:06:12.714> their<00:06:12.859> growth<00:06:14.064> where<00:06:14.867> they<00:06:15.188> have<00:06:15.348> a<00:06:15.381> great<00:06:15.525> product,<00:06:16.007> they've<00:06:16.168> grown<00:06:16.810> organically,<00:06:17.613> but<00:06:17.693> they<00:06:17.790> need<00:06:17.950> to<00:06:18.095> put,<00:06:18.480> you<00:06:18.513> know,<00:06:18.802> add<00:06:18.898> fuel<00:06:19.139> to<00:06:19.235> the<00:06:19.299> fire.

00:06:19.942 --> 00:06:20.713
And<00:06:20.022> that's<00:06:20.247> where<00:06:20.343> we<00:06:20.488> come<00:06:20.664> in.

00:06:21.242 --> 00:06:22.832
So<00:06:21.387> we're<00:06:21.548> their<00:06:21.628> growth<00:06:22.495> partner.

00:06:22.928 --> 00:06:25.546
Essentially,<00:06:23.876> we<00:06:24.020> do<00:06:24.261> ads<00:06:24.502> for<00:06:24.775> software<00:06:25.080> companies.

00:06:25.787 --> 00:06:31.246
And,<00:06:26.686> you<00:06:26.782> know,<00:06:27.553> my<00:06:27.810> whole—<00:06:28.275> from<00:06:28.452> the<00:06:28.532> math<00:06:28.773> phase<00:06:28.966> to<00:06:29.110> now,<00:06:29.351> I<00:06:29.415> think<00:06:29.656> that's<00:06:29.897> what<00:06:30.764> led<00:06:30.876> me<00:06:31.005> to<00:06:31.101> this.

00:06:31.824 --> 00:06:44.926
Well,<00:06:32.370> I<00:06:32.402> mean,<00:06:33.189> it<00:06:33.333> sounds<00:06:33.590> like<00:06:33.831> doing<00:06:34.136> ads<00:06:34.313> for<00:06:34.393> software<00:06:34.778> companies<00:06:35.115> is<00:06:35.196> like<00:06:35.340> kind<00:06:35.517> of<00:06:35.549> simple,<00:06:35.918> but<00:06:36.143> to<00:06:36.239> me<00:06:36.464> that<00:06:36.657> is<00:06:36.721> so<00:06:37.026> complicated<00:06:38.471> and<00:06:39.194> takes<00:06:39.675> such<00:06:39.997> a<00:06:40.896> kind<00:06:41.056> of,<00:06:41.442> as<00:06:41.602> you<00:06:41.683> mentioned,<00:06:42.004> like<00:06:42.116> a<00:06:42.132> new<00:06:42.421> way<00:06:42.582> of<00:06:42.726> looking<00:06:43.047> at<00:06:43.079> that,<00:06:43.304> a<00:06:43.449> creative<00:06:43.850> way<00:06:44.011> of<00:06:44.107> looking<00:06:44.412> at<00:06:44.509> that.

00:06:45.360 --> 00:06:51.228
Because<00:06:45.712> a<00:06:45.857> lot<00:06:46.033> of<00:06:46.113> times,<00:06:46.899> I<00:06:46.931> mean,<00:06:47.316> I've<00:06:47.492> interviewed<00:06:47.781> hundreds,<00:06:48.598> probably<00:06:48.903> thousands<00:06:49.480> of<00:06:49.560> software<00:06:49.977> CEOs<00:06:50.522> at<00:06:50.603> this<00:06:50.763> point,<00:06:51.003> right?

00:06:51.308 --> 00:06:56.744
Like,<00:06:52.350> um,<00:06:52.767> very<00:06:53.088> few<00:06:53.328> of<00:06:53.473> them<00:06:53.649> can<00:06:53.809> actually<00:06:54.210> explain<00:06:54.755> in<00:06:54.836> like<00:06:55.012> a<00:06:55.028> sentence<00:06:55.413> or<00:06:55.493> two<00:06:55.798> what<00:06:55.974> their<00:06:56.134> company<00:06:56.455> does.

00:06:58.155 --> 00:07:01.105
So<00:06:58.379> they<00:06:58.603> really<00:06:58.844> need<00:06:59.101> somebody<00:06:59.742> like<00:07:00.207> you,<00:07:00.768> you<00:07:00.800> know<00:07:00.912> what<00:07:01.009> I<00:07:01.025> mean?

00:07:01.169 --> 00:07:06.653
Like,<00:07:01.650> you<00:07:01.746> can<00:07:01.906> get<00:07:02.067> the<00:07:02.211> gist<00:07:02.468> of<00:07:02.628> it<00:07:02.852> over<00:07:03.045> like<00:07:03.269> a<00:07:03.350> 30-minute<00:07:03.831> conversation<00:07:04.712> and,<00:07:05.017> you<00:07:05.049> know,<00:07:05.274> like<00:07:05.514> doing<00:07:05.755> some<00:07:05.979> research<00:07:06.396> and<00:07:06.476> stuff.

00:07:06.781 --> 00:07:15.475
But<00:07:06.877> like,<00:07:07.919> people<00:07:08.224> like<00:07:08.400> you<00:07:09.186> who<00:07:09.282> are<00:07:09.507> kind<00:07:09.619> of<00:07:09.667> like<00:07:09.843> brilliant<00:07:10.164> at<00:07:10.244> the<00:07:10.324> marketing<00:07:10.885> and<00:07:10.966> you<00:07:11.142> understand<00:07:11.591> like<00:07:11.687> the<00:07:11.831> short-form<00:07:12.312> content<00:07:12.649> and<00:07:12.793> things<00:07:12.986> like<00:07:13.194> that<00:07:13.740> can<00:07:13.852> distill<00:07:14.334> it<00:07:14.414> to<00:07:14.639> its<00:07:14.800> essence,<00:07:15.218> right?

00:07:15.684 --> 00:07:27.187
Does<00:07:15.764> that,<00:07:16.021> is<00:07:16.423> that<00:07:16.583> kind<00:07:16.728> of<00:07:16.760> like<00:07:17.226> the,<00:07:17.547> the<00:07:17.708> value<00:07:18.093> you're<00:07:18.254> providing<00:07:18.672> here<00:07:18.833> is<00:07:19.057> like,<00:07:19.861> hey,<00:07:20.102> we're<00:07:20.198> gonna—<00:07:21.082> because<00:07:21.403> short-form<00:07:21.805> content<00:07:22.287> is<00:07:22.319> so<00:07:22.447> important<00:07:22.929> and<00:07:23.010> because<00:07:23.347> it—<00:07:23.492> some<00:07:23.652> of<00:07:23.733> these<00:07:23.893> companies<00:07:24.215> are<00:07:24.295> kind<00:07:24.456> of<00:07:24.520> hard<00:07:24.761> to<00:07:24.841> explain,<00:07:25.837> to<00:07:25.902> be<00:07:26.127> honest<00:07:26.287> with<00:07:26.448> you,<00:07:26.946> right?

00:07:27.894 --> 00:07:39.767
I<00:07:27.974> would<00:07:28.055> say<00:07:28.312> like<00:07:28.954> it's<00:07:29.501> less<00:07:29.693> about—<00:07:30.159> I<00:07:30.175> mean,<00:07:30.898> it's<00:07:31.123> less<00:07:31.300> about<00:07:31.686> the<00:07:31.766> fact<00:07:32.023> that<00:07:32.119> it's<00:07:32.232> hard<00:07:32.409> to<00:07:32.553> explain<00:07:33.212> as<00:07:33.372> much<00:07:33.613> as<00:07:33.710> the<00:07:33.919> right<00:07:34.160> way<00:07:34.272> to<00:07:34.401> explain<00:07:34.963> it<00:07:35.686> in<00:07:35.959> a<00:07:36.104> 30-second<00:07:36.746> video<00:07:37.389> is<00:07:37.550> not<00:07:37.855> obvious<00:07:38.192> at<00:07:38.289> all,<00:07:39.060> um,<00:07:39.478> at<00:07:39.670> times.

00:07:39.815 --> 00:07:48.318
So<00:07:39.960> like<00:07:40.442> Obviously<00:07:40.843> you<00:07:40.891> can<00:07:41.003> go<00:07:41.244> just<00:07:41.468> make<00:07:41.709> a,<00:07:42.030> you<00:07:42.062> know,<00:07:42.206> video<00:07:42.527> ad,<00:07:42.848> just<00:07:43.249> shoot<00:07:43.554> on<00:07:43.666> a<00:07:43.730> camera,<00:07:44.131> tell<00:07:44.709> someone<00:07:44.933> about<00:07:45.174> the<00:07:45.254> product,<00:07:46.281> but<00:07:46.457> that's<00:07:46.682> not<00:07:46.842> engaging<00:07:47.259> enough,<00:07:48.077> right?

00:07:48.382 --> 00:07:56.676
So<00:07:48.944> more<00:07:49.120> and<00:07:49.264> more<00:07:49.505> we're<00:07:49.665> doing<00:07:50.692> like,<00:07:51.735> you,<00:07:51.831> when<00:07:52.232> people<00:07:52.553> think<00:07:52.954> like<00:07:53.499> short-form<00:07:53.900> content,<00:07:54.301> they<00:07:54.398> think<00:07:54.558> someone,<00:07:55.039> you<00:07:55.136> know,<00:07:55.232> just<00:07:55.424> like<00:07:55.761> talking<00:07:56.082> to<00:07:56.178> a<00:07:56.243> camera.

00:07:57.670 --> 00:07:59.611
That<00:07:57.782> was<00:07:57.991> like,<00:07:58.232> that<00:07:58.408> worked<00:07:58.649> maybe<00:07:58.954> 3<00:07:59.130> years<00:07:59.387> ago.

00:07:59.756 --> 00:08:03.349
Like<00:07:59.996> these<00:08:00.189> days<00:08:00.429> you<00:08:00.558> gotta<00:08:01.135> really<00:08:01.520> do<00:08:01.632> something<00:08:02.017> different,<00:08:02.418> stand<00:08:02.803> out<00:08:02.964> visually.

00:08:04.568 --> 00:08:09.817
And<00:08:05.001> especially<00:08:05.531> in<00:08:05.627> crowded<00:08:06.012> markets,<00:08:06.429> I<00:08:06.445> mean,<00:08:06.573> if<00:08:06.670> you<00:08:06.830> think<00:08:06.990> about,<00:08:07.729> I<00:08:07.745> don't<00:08:07.889> know,<00:08:08.034> like<00:08:08.419> we<00:08:08.516> work<00:08:08.741> with<00:08:08.789> a<00:08:08.821> lot<00:08:08.997> of<00:08:09.062> fintechs,<00:08:09.704> right?

00:08:09.881 --> 00:08:10.845
Like<00:08:09.977> investing<00:08:10.523> apps.

00:08:12.210 --> 00:08:18.570
One<00:08:12.435> thing,<00:08:12.563> like<00:08:12.692> one<00:08:12.788> of<00:08:12.852> our<00:08:12.933> clients,<00:08:13.350> we<00:08:13.431> don't<00:08:13.559> work<00:08:13.736> with<00:08:13.816> them<00:08:13.977> anymore,<00:08:14.378> but<00:08:14.442> like<00:08:14.699> Acorns,<00:08:16.049> for<00:08:16.145> example,<00:08:17.028> like<00:08:17.414> it's<00:08:17.912> kind<00:08:18.105> of<00:08:18.153> the<00:08:18.233> same<00:08:18.474> thing.

00:08:18.619 --> 00:08:24.224
They'll<00:08:18.779> tell<00:08:18.956> you,<00:08:19.181> oh,<00:08:19.277> like<00:08:19.438> invest<00:08:19.743> your<00:08:19.823> money<00:08:20.723> and<00:08:20.803> like<00:08:20.931> it'll<00:08:21.269> grow<00:08:22.072> just<00:08:22.248> like<00:08:22.473> every<00:08:22.714> other<00:08:23.212> investing<00:08:23.678> app<00:08:23.774> will<00:08:23.935> tell<00:08:24.080> you.

00:08:24.481 --> 00:08:35.773
But<00:08:24.642> what<00:08:24.722> they<00:08:24.818> cracked<00:08:25.156> in<00:08:25.220> their<00:08:25.364> marketing<00:08:25.943> and<00:08:26.184> you<00:08:26.280> know<00:08:26.344> why<00:08:26.505> they<00:08:26.649> work<00:08:26.826> with<00:08:26.971> us<00:08:27.147> is<00:08:27.292> ultimately<00:08:27.549> like<00:08:28.175> this<00:08:28.416> understanding<00:08:29.701> of<00:08:30.183> how<00:08:30.360> do<00:08:30.504> you<00:08:30.601> communicate<00:08:32.207> that<00:08:32.689> concept<00:08:33.556> in<00:08:33.636> a<00:08:33.668> visually<00:08:34.536> appealing,<00:08:35.098> engaging<00:08:35.580> way.

00:08:36.286 --> 00:08:36.783
Through<00:08:36.446> video.

00:08:37.327 --> 00:08:38.930
And<00:08:38.048> that's<00:08:38.705> hard.

00:08:39.026 --> 00:08:40.901
Like,<00:08:39.426> that's<00:08:39.811> easier<00:08:40.067> said<00:08:40.308> than<00:08:40.772> done.

00:08:41.910 --> 00:08:43.016
It's<00:08:42.022> just<00:08:42.214> pretty<00:08:42.391> hard<00:08:42.551> to<00:08:42.711> implement.

00:08:43.576 --> 00:08:45.531
And<00:08:43.913> doing<00:08:44.153> that<00:08:44.313> at<00:08:44.394> scale<00:08:44.794> is<00:08:44.938> really<00:08:45.115> what<00:08:45.275> we<00:08:45.355> do.

00:08:45.611 --> 00:08:46.877
So<00:08:45.740> we<00:08:45.820> make<00:08:45.980> thousands<00:08:46.332> of<00:08:46.461> ads<00:08:46.637> a<00:08:46.653> month.

00:08:47.342 --> 00:08:48.463
We<00:08:47.374> have<00:08:47.454> a<00:08:47.518> full<00:08:47.823> in-house<00:08:48.159> team.

00:08:49.345 --> 00:08:51.139
We<00:08:49.425> have<00:08:49.521> a<00:08:49.537> studio<00:08:49.938> in<00:08:50.082> New<00:08:50.162> York<00:08:50.418> that<00:08:50.514> we<00:08:50.562> shoot<00:08:50.867> out<00:08:51.043> of.

00:08:51.203 --> 00:08:58.189
Like,<00:08:51.908> it's—<00:08:52.405> I<00:08:52.485> think<00:08:52.645> the<00:08:52.710> economies<00:08:53.126> of<00:08:53.190> scale<00:08:53.511> make<00:08:53.751> us<00:08:54.007> do<00:08:54.168> it<00:08:54.328> that<00:08:54.552> much<00:08:54.728> better<00:08:54.969> than<00:08:55.129> the<00:08:55.161> next<00:08:55.369> person<00:08:56.571> because<00:08:56.972> we<00:08:57.052> just<00:08:57.228> do<00:08:57.372> it<00:08:57.436> every<00:08:57.613> day,<00:08:57.997> right?

00:08:58.398 --> 00:09:03.509
And<00:08:58.798> we<00:08:58.894> can<00:08:59.039> tell<00:08:59.279> these<00:08:59.407> companies'<00:08:59.840> stories<00:09:00.256> in<00:09:00.321> a<00:09:00.337> way<00:09:01.042> that<00:09:01.362> would<00:09:01.458> be<00:09:01.602> very<00:09:01.779> difficult<00:09:02.099> for<00:09:02.243> them<00:09:02.820> to<00:09:02.900> get<00:09:03.221> at<00:09:03.301> their<00:09:03.461> own.

00:09:04.583 --> 00:09:07.356
What<00:09:04.743> do<00:09:04.839> most<00:09:05.160> startups<00:09:05.705> and<00:09:05.785> companies<00:09:06.186> get<00:09:06.410> wrong<00:09:06.731> about<00:09:06.987> marketing?

00:09:08.173 --> 00:09:09.328
Um,<00:09:08.654> couple<00:09:08.975> things.

00:09:09.376 --> 00:09:19.826
Like,<00:09:09.856> um,<00:09:10.898> I<00:09:10.995> think<00:09:11.299> that<00:09:11.732> especially<00:09:12.181> in,<00:09:12.501> in,<00:09:12.758> in<00:09:12.902> tech,<00:09:13.303> like<00:09:13.543> this<00:09:15.322> tech<00:09:15.643> ecosystem,<00:09:16.268> Silicon<00:09:16.605> Valley<00:09:16.829> in<00:09:16.925> general,<00:09:18.031> um,<00:09:18.432> ads<00:09:18.544> is<00:09:18.688> a<00:09:18.769> dirty<00:09:19.089> word,<00:09:19.634> right?

00:09:19.955 --> 00:09:28.193
Like<00:09:20.452> relatively,<00:09:21.317> like,<00:09:22.279> um,<00:09:23.080> oh,<00:09:23.241> you<00:09:23.273> should<00:09:23.497> grow—<00:09:23.818> there's<00:09:24.058> this<00:09:24.314> sentiment<00:09:25.324> that<00:09:25.677> if<00:09:25.805> you<00:09:25.901> do<00:09:26.206> ads,<00:09:26.446> you're<00:09:26.526> not<00:09:26.767> good<00:09:26.927> enough,<00:09:28.065> right?

00:09:28.851 --> 00:09:34.109
And<00:09:28.931> a<00:09:29.027> lot<00:09:29.251> of<00:09:29.348> people<00:09:29.588> brag<00:09:29.989> about<00:09:30.165> like,<00:09:30.614> oh,<00:09:30.870> we<00:09:31.095> hit<00:09:31.736> X<00:09:32.458> or<00:09:32.554> whatever<00:09:32.955> with<00:09:33.099> $0<00:09:33.596> in<00:09:33.660> marketing.

00:09:35.184 --> 00:09:38.487
I<00:09:35.280> kind<00:09:35.504> of<00:09:35.537> find<00:09:35.809> that<00:09:35.905> weird<00:09:36.050> because<00:09:36.306> like,<00:09:36.483> oh<00:09:36.643> wait,<00:09:36.884> like,<00:09:37.124> so<00:09:37.349> you<00:09:37.509> could<00:09:37.605> have<00:09:37.766> grown<00:09:38.006> faster?

00:09:38.792 --> 00:09:40.957
Like<00:09:39.032> you<00:09:39.129> could<00:09:39.273> have,<00:09:39.449> you<00:09:39.530> could<00:09:39.674> have<00:09:39.802> made<00:09:39.995> more<00:09:40.235> money<00:09:40.476> and<00:09:40.556> you<00:09:40.716> didn't?

00:09:41.069 --> 00:09:44.549
I<00:09:41.133> like<00:09:42.015> this<00:09:42.160> whole<00:09:42.336> thing<00:09:42.560> of<00:09:42.657> like,<00:09:42.961> oh,<00:09:43.218> we<00:09:43.298> didn't<00:09:43.442> spend<00:09:43.587> anything<00:09:43.875> on<00:09:43.940> marketing.

00:09:44.902 --> 00:09:49.087
I<00:09:44.918> mean,<00:09:45.206> sure,<00:09:45.527> of<00:09:45.688> course<00:09:45.880> it's<00:09:46.024> impressive<00:09:46.505> for<00:09:46.666> you<00:09:46.762> to<00:09:47.003> scale<00:09:47.532> without<00:09:47.804> spending<00:09:48.269> money<00:09:48.510> on<00:09:48.670> marketing.

00:09:49.151 --> 00:09:57.779
And<00:09:49.632> there's<00:09:49.873> this<00:09:50.114> idea<00:09:50.595> that<00:09:50.835> like,<00:09:52.423> you<00:09:52.471> know,<00:09:52.599> peddled<00:09:53.000> by<00:09:53.096> a<00:09:53.160> lot<00:09:53.401> of<00:09:53.722> the<00:09:53.802> Silicon<00:09:54.187> Valley<00:09:54.524> folks<00:09:55.005> is<00:09:55.085> like,<00:09:55.710> oh,<00:09:55.790> you<00:09:55.823> should,<00:09:56.047> your<00:09:56.207> product<00:09:56.384> should<00:09:56.544> be<00:09:56.624> so<00:09:56.913> good,<00:09:56.993> it<00:09:57.025> should<00:09:57.234> sell<00:09:57.378> itself.

00:09:58.517 --> 00:10:02.883
But<00:09:58.613> frankly,<00:09:59.255> like,<00:09:59.801> we're<00:10:00.700> in<00:10:00.780> what<00:10:00.924> we<00:10:01.021> call<00:10:01.165> like<00:10:01.326> the<00:10:01.422> dropshipping<00:10:01.984> era<00:10:02.224> of<00:10:02.449> software.

00:10:03.508 --> 00:10:11.517
If<00:10:03.573> you<00:10:03.733> think<00:10:03.926> about<00:10:04.231> it,<00:10:05.178> think<00:10:05.290> about<00:10:05.418> like<00:10:06.060> the<00:10:06.141> 2000s<00:10:07.039> and<00:10:07.184> what<00:10:07.344> happened<00:10:07.681> with,<00:10:08.147> you<00:10:08.243> know,<00:10:08.628> with<00:10:08.949> the<00:10:09.126> whole<00:10:09.286> idea<00:10:09.527> of<00:10:09.607> dropshipping<00:10:10.715> and<00:10:10.971> e-commerce.

00:10:11.597 --> 00:10:16.765
So<00:10:11.934> if<00:10:12.079> you<00:10:12.175> look<00:10:12.352> at<00:10:12.496> e-commerce<00:10:13.218> and<00:10:13.283> e-commerce<00:10:13.684> companies,<00:10:14.502> they've<00:10:14.663> swallowed<00:10:15.225> the<00:10:15.369> ads<00:10:15.626> pill<00:10:16.011> a<00:10:16.027> long<00:10:16.268> time<00:10:16.525> ago.

00:10:17.134 --> 00:10:21.002
They<00:10:17.311> know<00:10:17.776> that<00:10:17.937> the<00:10:18.017> way<00:10:18.194> to<00:10:18.274> grow<00:10:18.996> is<00:10:19.076> having<00:10:19.397> a<00:10:19.542> great<00:10:20.023> marketing<00:10:20.505> ecosystem.

00:10:21.147 --> 00:10:23.795
You<00:10:21.179> need<00:10:21.356> to<00:10:21.404> do<00:10:22.206> great<00:10:22.367> marketing<00:10:22.848> and<00:10:22.944> that's<00:10:23.137> how<00:10:23.233> you<00:10:23.265> stand<00:10:23.635> out.

00:10:24.132 --> 00:10:30.926
And<00:10:24.276> it's<00:10:24.452> because<00:10:25.398> there,<00:10:25.798> there's<00:10:26.119> already<00:10:26.519> been<00:10:26.840> this<00:10:27.657> evolution<00:10:28.699> in<00:10:29.404> e-com<00:10:29.724> where<00:10:29.965> anyone<00:10:30.221> can<00:10:30.365> start<00:10:30.621> a<00:10:30.686> brand.

00:10:31.162 --> 00:10:40.733
I<00:10:31.182> mean,<00:10:31.327> think<00:10:31.407> about<00:10:31.647> Shopify,<00:10:32.384> Klaviyo,<00:10:33.730> Alibaba,<00:10:34.692> like<00:10:35.493> all<00:10:35.669> these<00:10:36.054> rails<00:10:36.775> have,<00:10:37.031> has<00:10:37.255> made<00:10:37.432> it<00:10:37.656> really<00:10:38.057> easy<00:10:38.858> for<00:10:38.954> someone<00:10:39.274> to<00:10:39.355> start<00:10:39.611> a<00:10:39.675> brand,<00:10:40.540> right?

00:10:40.781 --> 00:10:43.104
So<00:10:40.941> I<00:10:40.957> can<00:10:41.181> go<00:10:41.342> sell<00:10:41.534> the<00:10:41.598> same<00:10:41.838> product<00:10:42.383> as<00:10:42.543> anyone<00:10:42.864> else.

00:10:43.825 --> 00:10:47.975
And<00:10:44.162> more<00:10:44.322> and<00:10:44.466> more<00:10:44.642> the<00:10:44.803> IP<00:10:45.508> has<00:10:46.229> been<00:10:46.645> in<00:10:46.806> the<00:10:46.870> marketing<00:10:47.286> and<00:10:47.334> the<00:10:47.367> distribution.

00:10:48.424 --> 00:10:54.409
So<00:10:48.809> the<00:10:48.889> biggest<00:10:49.289> e-commerce<00:10:49.770> companies<00:10:50.796> Sure,<00:10:51.038> they<00:10:51.119> have<00:10:51.296> good<00:10:51.441> products,<00:10:52.006> but<00:10:52.086> they<00:10:52.248> have<00:10:52.667> even<00:10:52.909> better<00:10:54.038> marketing.

00:10:55.070 --> 00:10:59.086
And<00:10:55.796> tech<00:10:56.054> is<00:10:56.086> starting<00:10:56.409> to<00:10:56.521> realize<00:10:56.941> that<00:10:57.425> with<00:10:57.892> the<00:10:57.973> advent<00:10:58.376> of<00:10:58.699> AI<00:10:58.795> tools.

00:11:00.040 --> 00:11:02.376
Historically,<00:11:00.481> technology<00:11:00.889> has<00:11:01.036> been<00:11:01.118> hard<00:11:01.298> to<00:11:01.461> build,<00:11:02.180> right?

00:11:02.425 --> 00:11:05.268
You<00:11:02.458> need<00:11:02.670> a<00:11:02.752> whole<00:11:02.915> lot<00:11:03.029> of<00:11:03.095> funding,<00:11:03.748> a<00:11:03.830> whole<00:11:03.944> lot<00:11:04.059> of<00:11:04.157> engineers,<00:11:04.810> a<00:11:04.876> whole<00:11:04.957> lot<00:11:05.023> of<00:11:05.055> sophistication.

00:11:06.220 --> 00:11:15.013
More<00:11:06.349> and<00:11:06.445> more,<00:11:07.204> there's<00:11:07.785> rails<00:11:08.511> for<00:11:08.688> technology,<00:11:09.301> even<00:11:10.431> relatively<00:11:11.011> complicated<00:11:13.512> products<00:11:14.029> like<00:11:14.174> fintech<00:11:14.561> products.

00:11:15.513 --> 00:11:20.288
You<00:11:15.610> basically<00:11:15.836> have<00:11:16.182> B2B<00:11:16.528> SaaS<00:11:16.907> providers<00:11:17.418> that<00:11:17.649> make<00:11:18.393> building<00:11:18.778> a<00:11:18.794> consumer-facing<00:11:19.517> product<00:11:19.822> really<00:11:20.079> easy.

00:11:20.625 --> 00:11:21.862
So<00:11:20.722> they'll<00:11:20.883> take<00:11:21.043> care<00:11:21.220> of<00:11:21.348> your<00:11:21.445> compliance.

00:11:21.911 --> 00:11:24.915
They'll<00:11:22.087> take<00:11:22.312> care<00:11:22.633> of<00:11:22.730> like,<00:11:23.292> they'll<00:11:23.533> be<00:11:23.678> your<00:11:23.838> brokerage,<00:11:24.641> right?

00:11:24.963 --> 00:11:27.083
Like<00:11:25.220> maybe<00:11:25.445> you<00:11:25.541> want<00:11:25.702> a<00:11:25.766> brokerage<00:11:26.360> as<00:11:26.505> part<00:11:26.666> of<00:11:26.746> your<00:11:26.906> app.

00:11:27.147 --> 00:11:29.380
Like<00:11:27.694> historically<00:11:28.159> that<00:11:28.272> was<00:11:28.513> really<00:11:28.754> hard<00:11:28.995> to<00:11:29.075> build.

00:11:29.718 --> 00:11:31.388
Now<00:11:30.280> there's<00:11:30.457> a<00:11:30.521> SaaS<00:11:30.842> product<00:11:31.244> for<00:11:31.324> it.

00:11:31.661 --> 00:11:45.509
So<00:11:31.951> as<00:11:32.127> more<00:11:32.449> rails<00:11:32.834> become<00:11:34.039> available,<00:11:34.762> consumer-facing<00:11:35.645> tech<00:11:35.806> companies<00:11:36.786> will<00:11:37.573> shift<00:11:38.376> their<00:11:38.473> focus<00:11:39.035> from<00:11:39.918> product<00:11:40.802> to<00:11:40.962> distribution<00:11:41.910> because<00:11:42.328> just<00:11:42.553> frankly,<00:11:43.533> everyone's<00:11:44.015> going<00:11:44.320> after<00:11:44.561> the<00:11:44.641> same<00:11:44.978> use<00:11:45.203> cases.

00:11:45.942 --> 00:11:46.263
Right?

00:11:46.647 --> 00:11:50.512
Um,<00:11:46.904> and<00:11:46.984> unless<00:11:47.369> there's<00:11:47.529> like<00:11:47.690> some<00:11:48.010> outsized<00:11:48.491> technology<00:11:49.133> play<00:11:49.389> like<00:11:49.694> OpenAI,<00:11:50.335> right?

00:11:50.560 --> 00:11:54.456
Like<00:11:50.752> ChatGPT,<00:11:51.378> that<00:11:51.458> was<00:11:51.506> such<00:11:51.955> a<00:11:51.971> new<00:11:52.115> technology<00:11:52.997> that<00:11:53.061> it's<00:11:53.157> just<00:11:53.318> gonna<00:11:53.478> have<00:11:53.783> product-like<00:11:54.183> growth.

00:11:55.306 --> 00:12:03.323
But<00:11:55.482> if<00:11:55.643> you're<00:11:55.867> the<00:11:56.043> 10th<00:11:57.166> investing<00:11:57.711> app,<00:11:58.689> like,<00:11:59.010> and<00:11:59.074> you're<00:11:59.234> 10%<00:11:59.811> better,<00:12:01.094> that's<00:12:01.335> probably<00:12:01.671> not<00:12:01.896> enough<00:12:02.136> to<00:12:02.233> like<00:12:02.441> get<00:12:02.553> you<00:12:02.601> 100<00:12:02.810> million<00:12:03.034> users.

00:12:03.483 --> 00:12:05.023
You<00:12:03.580> need<00:12:03.676> to<00:12:03.804> do<00:12:03.900> marketing<00:12:04.542> and<00:12:04.606> that's<00:12:04.798> okay.

00:12:05.263 --> 00:12:06.610
There's<00:12:05.904> nothing<00:12:06.209> wrong<00:12:06.450> with<00:12:06.530> that.

00:12:06.706 --> 00:12:08.919
I<00:12:06.786> think<00:12:07.684> startups<00:12:08.101> need<00:12:08.245> to<00:12:08.374> understand<00:12:08.775> that.

00:12:09.512 --> 00:12:09.817
Yeah.

00:12:10.154 --> 00:12:10.410
Yeah.

00:12:10.538 --> 00:12:12.527
I<00:12:10.554> mean,<00:12:10.859> Elon<00:12:11.196> is<00:12:11.356> really<00:12:11.597> famous<00:12:11.997> for<00:12:12.142> that,<00:12:12.382> right?

00:12:12.623 --> 00:12:19.124
Like<00:12:12.783> saying<00:12:13.040> like,<00:12:13.360> uh,<00:12:14.146> Tesla's<00:12:14.548> never<00:12:14.741> spent<00:12:14.965> a<00:12:15.046> dollar<00:12:15.302> in<00:12:15.447> advertising,<00:12:16.234> and<00:12:17.145> I<00:12:17.165> don't<00:12:17.358> even<00:12:17.438> know<00:12:17.518> if<00:12:17.615> that's<00:12:17.855> exactly<00:12:18.257> true,<00:12:18.578> but<00:12:18.723> you,<00:12:18.963> you—.

00:12:19.461 --> 00:12:25.691
But<00:12:20.168> they<00:12:20.569> also,<00:12:20.906> like,<00:12:21.709> I<00:12:21.725> mean,<00:12:22.351> their,<00:12:22.656> their<00:12:22.817> product<00:12:23.154> has<00:12:23.315> been<00:12:23.475> going<00:12:23.716> down<00:12:23.941> in<00:12:24.037> price<00:12:24.358> for<00:12:24.423> the<00:12:24.519> last,<00:12:24.840> like,<00:12:25.065> however<00:12:25.306> many<00:12:25.482> years.

00:12:26.349 --> 00:12:31.937
Um,<00:12:26.847> which<00:12:27.152> I<00:12:27.168> don't<00:12:27.313> know,<00:12:27.554> is—<00:12:27.714> I<00:12:27.730> mean,<00:12:27.891> hey,<00:12:28.196> maybe<00:12:28.373> if<00:12:28.517> they<00:12:28.581> had<00:12:28.838> marketing<00:12:29.497> and<00:12:30.059> marketed<00:12:30.444> as<00:12:30.604> a<00:12:30.685> luxury<00:12:31.102> product,<00:12:31.584> maybe<00:12:31.793> not.

00:12:32.226 --> 00:12:34.988
Like,<00:12:33.093> obviously,<00:12:33.495> like,<00:12:33.752> people<00:12:33.992> think<00:12:34.233> Elon<00:12:34.538> is,<00:12:34.779> is<00:12:34.859> great.

00:12:35.036 --> 00:12:38.103
I<00:12:35.116> think<00:12:35.421> obviously,<00:12:35.743> I<00:12:35.759> mean,<00:12:36.321> proof<00:12:36.497> is<00:12:36.642> in<00:12:36.706> the<00:12:36.786> numbers,<00:12:37.123> but<00:12:37.188> I'm<00:12:37.685> not<00:12:37.830> sure.

00:12:39.464 --> 00:12:41.282
I<00:12:39.484> don't<00:12:39.789> know<00:12:39.917> if<00:12:40.014> I<00:12:40.094> agree—<00:12:40.335> unless<00:12:40.656> I<00:12:40.736> agree<00:12:40.977> with<00:12:41.073> that.

00:12:41.780 --> 00:12:42.374
Yeah,<00:12:42.037> for<00:12:42.181> sure.

00:12:43.610 --> 00:12:45.296
What<00:12:43.658> does<00:12:43.803> a<00:12:43.867> typical<00:12:44.269> day<00:12:44.493> look<00:12:44.670> like<00:12:44.911> for<00:12:45.007> you?

00:12:45.377 --> 00:12:47.095
You're<00:12:45.537> a<00:12:45.633> 22-year-old<00:12:46.500> entrepreneur.

00:12:47.400 --> 00:12:49.648
You<00:12:47.544> run<00:12:47.640> a<00:12:47.657> multimillion-dollar<00:12:48.443> business<00:12:49.070> during<00:12:49.246> the<00:12:49.391> day.

00:12:50.290 --> 00:12:51.719
You<00:12:50.354> also<00:12:50.547> go<00:12:50.627> to<00:12:50.707> school<00:12:51.093> full-time.

00:12:51.976 --> 00:12:53.244
What<00:12:52.072> does<00:12:52.217> a<00:12:52.281> typical<00:12:52.618> day<00:12:52.779> look<00:12:53.003> like?

00:12:53.887 --> 00:12:57.258
Well,<00:12:54.031> it's<00:12:54.143> summer<00:12:54.400> now,<00:12:55.589> so<00:12:55.733> I<00:12:55.829> get<00:12:56.006> to,<00:12:56.536> you<00:12:56.632> know,<00:12:56.696> obsess.

00:12:57.660 --> 00:13:03.215
I'm<00:12:58.800> meeting<00:12:59.041> a<00:12:59.121> client<00:12:59.506> after<00:12:59.699> this<00:13:01.192> for<00:13:01.369> drinks,<00:13:01.915> so<00:13:02.332> looking<00:13:02.573> forward<00:13:02.814> to<00:13:02.910> that.

00:13:04.259 --> 00:13:06.924
But<00:13:04.966> like,<00:13:05.845> so<00:13:05.865> that,<00:13:06.250> that's<00:13:06.587> my<00:13:06.683> summer.

00:13:06.988 --> 00:13:12.736
But<00:13:07.069> I<00:13:07.149> mean,<00:13:07.615> in,<00:13:08.112> in<00:13:08.193> terms<00:13:08.433> of<00:13:08.498> when<00:13:08.594> I'm<00:13:08.738> at<00:13:08.851> school,<00:13:09.541> frankly,<00:13:10.023> like<00:13:11.307> I<00:13:11.339> find<00:13:11.516> myself<00:13:11.901> even<00:13:12.126> more<00:13:12.351> productive.

00:13:12.929 --> 00:13:13.715
This<00:13:13.089> is<00:13:13.153> crazy<00:13:13.410> to<00:13:13.474> say.

00:13:14.277 --> 00:13:19.672
Uh,<00:13:14.695> it's<00:13:14.855> because<00:13:16.043> I<00:13:17.087> have<00:13:17.488> to<00:13:17.970> essentially<00:13:18.451> wrestle<00:13:19.110> with<00:13:19.286> my<00:13:19.431> time.

00:13:20.217 --> 00:13:21.759
I<00:13:20.378> like,<00:13:20.571> okay,<00:13:20.699> there's<00:13:20.876> 24<00:13:21.181> hours<00:13:21.421> in<00:13:21.454> the<00:13:21.518> day.

00:13:21.999 --> 00:13:23.204
What<00:13:22.160> do<00:13:22.240> I<00:13:22.401> really<00:13:22.642> need<00:13:22.802> to<00:13:22.898> do?

00:13:23.749 --> 00:13:28.341
And<00:13:24.231> how<00:13:24.488> do<00:13:24.713> I<00:13:25.050> make<00:13:25.291> sure<00:13:25.547> that<00:13:26.013> whatever<00:13:26.254> I<00:13:26.495> do,<00:13:26.832> it's<00:13:27.217> the<00:13:27.522> best<00:13:27.779> use<00:13:27.956> of<00:13:28.004> my<00:13:28.180> time?

00:13:28.742 --> 00:13:34.567
And<00:13:28.887> obviously<00:13:29.128> this<00:13:29.192> is<00:13:29.304> always<00:13:29.529> like<00:13:29.690> a,<00:13:29.946> this<00:13:30.011> is<00:13:30.107> a<00:13:30.251> constant<00:13:30.669> challenge<00:13:31.070> and<00:13:31.215> you<00:13:31.552> sometimes<00:13:32.145> I'll<00:13:32.755> spend<00:13:33.075> my<00:13:33.236> time<00:13:33.540> doing<00:13:33.797> the<00:13:33.941> wrong<00:13:34.198> things.

00:13:35.705 --> 00:13:40.260
However,<00:13:36.363> I<00:13:36.443> think<00:13:36.748> having<00:13:37.245> constraints<00:13:38.127> breeds<00:13:38.368> creativity<00:13:39.394> almost<00:13:39.955> always.

00:13:40.853 --> 00:13:50.844
I<00:13:40.998> actually<00:13:41.334> think<00:13:41.575> I<00:13:42.762> haven't<00:13:43.018> gotten<00:13:43.339> to<00:13:43.435> this<00:13:43.580> point<00:13:43.724> right<00:13:43.820> now,<00:13:43.980> but<00:13:44.301> there's<00:13:44.446> going<00:13:44.526> to<00:13:44.606> be<00:13:44.702> a<00:13:44.782> point<00:13:45.247> maybe<00:13:45.664> in<00:13:45.745> a<00:13:45.761> month<00:13:45.985> or<00:13:46.065> so<00:13:46.306> where<00:13:46.530> I'm<00:13:46.883> so<00:13:47.092> obsessed<00:13:47.509> that<00:13:47.653> I<00:13:47.910> get<00:13:48.150> a<00:13:48.294> little<00:13:48.471> bit<00:13:48.711> of<00:13:48.792> like,<00:13:48.952> okay,<00:13:49.096> I<00:13:49.193> need<00:13:49.369> to<00:13:49.994> pull<00:13:50.155> back<00:13:50.459> a<00:13:50.475> little<00:13:50.700> bit.

00:13:51.903 --> 00:13:59.919
I'm<00:13:52.240> very<00:13:52.817> like,<00:13:53.988> I<00:13:54.084> love<00:13:54.469> what<00:13:54.581> I<00:13:54.725> do,<00:13:55.142> so<00:13:55.607> I<00:13:55.688> get<00:13:56.088> really<00:13:56.393> into<00:13:56.586> the<00:13:56.730> weeds<00:13:57.131> and<00:13:57.535> sometimes<00:13:58.115> having<00:13:58.512> that<00:13:58.760> distance<00:13:59.257> actually<00:13:59.588> is<00:13:59.687> better.

00:14:02.512 --> 00:14:03.431
Yeah,<00:14:02.673> I<00:14:02.819> do<00:14:02.915> go<00:14:03.076> to<00:14:03.157> class.

00:14:04.108 --> 00:14:06.026
I'm<00:14:04.607> probably<00:14:05.075> on<00:14:05.172> Slack<00:14:05.591> in<00:14:05.655> class.

00:14:06.139 --> 00:14:09.958
My,<00:14:06.606> hopefully<00:14:06.832> my<00:14:07.009> professors<00:14:07.589> don't<00:14:07.976> hear<00:14:08.089> this,<00:14:08.379> but<00:14:08.540> I'll<00:14:09.297> still<00:14:09.523> be<00:14:09.604> on<00:14:09.765> Slack.

00:14:10.087 --> 00:14:12.401
I'll<00:14:10.248> still<00:14:10.554> be<00:14:10.700> like<00:14:11.218> looking<00:14:11.607> over<00:14:11.947> things.

00:14:12.984 --> 00:14:16.420
But<00:14:13.794> like<00:14:14.864> I<00:14:14.945> do,<00:14:15.415> you<00:14:15.496> know,<00:14:15.852> I'll<00:14:16.160> engage.

00:14:16.484 --> 00:14:19.285
I'll<00:14:16.792> try<00:14:16.889> to<00:14:17.538> hear<00:14:17.764> out<00:14:17.862> what<00:14:17.959> the<00:14:18.089> lecturer<00:14:18.283> has<00:14:18.445> to<00:14:18.640> say.

00:14:19.478 --> 00:14:20.366
And<00:14:19.559> that's<00:14:20.027> awesome.

00:14:20.914 --> 00:14:25.899
Give<00:14:21.011> me<00:14:21.172> a<00:14:21.188> sense<00:14:21.656> for<00:14:22.382> how<00:14:22.705> leaders<00:14:23.269> and<00:14:23.350> marketers<00:14:23.834> should<00:14:24.076> think<00:14:24.302> about<00:14:24.641> implementing<00:14:25.189> AI<00:14:25.447> in<00:14:25.608> marketing.

00:14:26.648 --> 00:14:28.908
I'll<00:14:26.776> give<00:14:26.889> you<00:14:27.418> like<00:14:27.738> kind<00:14:27.898> of<00:14:27.995> an<00:14:28.059> experience<00:14:28.459> that<00:14:28.556> I'm<00:14:28.700> having.

00:14:28.956 --> 00:14:30.255
You<00:14:29.101> tell<00:14:29.197> me<00:14:29.277> if<00:14:29.421> you're<00:14:29.662> experiencing<00:14:30.142> this.

00:14:30.319 --> 00:14:35.031
Like,<00:14:30.463> I<00:14:30.559> go<00:14:30.639> on<00:14:30.864> LinkedIn<00:14:31.264> and<00:14:31.361> it<00:14:31.425> seems<00:14:31.681> like<00:14:32.499> everybody's<00:14:33.348> robots<00:14:33.909> are<00:14:34.069> just<00:14:34.278> talking<00:14:34.566> to<00:14:34.662> each<00:14:34.807> other.

00:14:35.111 --> 00:14:37.019
Like,<00:14:35.288> none<00:14:35.448> of<00:14:35.512> that<00:14:35.913> feels<00:14:36.233> like<00:14:36.345> super<00:14:36.714> authentic.

00:14:37.115 --> 00:14:46.732
It<00:14:37.211> just<00:14:37.419> seems<00:14:37.596> like<00:14:38.189> all<00:14:38.237> of<00:14:38.301> a<00:14:38.333> sudden<00:14:38.638> one<00:14:38.878> day<00:14:39.279> everybody<00:14:39.776> got<00:14:40.016> like<00:14:40.321> really<00:14:41.058> grammatically<00:14:41.779> correct<00:14:42.500> and,<00:14:42.981> you<00:14:43.061> know,<00:14:43.494> like<00:14:44.264> kind<00:14:44.488> of<00:14:44.664> doing—<00:14:45.001> saying<00:14:45.370> everything<00:14:45.786> exactly<00:14:46.251> the<00:14:46.347> right<00:14:46.508> way.

00:14:46.812 --> 00:14:49.601
Like,<00:14:47.053> all—<00:14:47.485> so<00:14:47.710> everybody<00:14:47.950> kind<00:14:48.175> of<00:14:48.207> sounds<00:14:48.575> the<00:14:48.607> same<00:14:49.104> now,<00:14:49.457> right?

00:14:50.755 --> 00:14:52.775
Because<00:14:51.300> they're<00:14:51.476> so<00:14:51.701> obviously<00:14:52.182> using<00:14:52.518> AI.

00:14:53.159 --> 00:15:02.068
And<00:14:53.240> so<00:14:53.400> I<00:14:53.544> wonder<00:14:54.827> And<00:14:54.924> the<00:14:55.004> ones<00:14:55.229> that<00:14:55.389> aren't<00:14:55.630> are<00:14:55.662> the<00:14:55.790> ones<00:14:55.967> that<00:14:56.063> are<00:14:56.128> standing<00:14:56.513> out,<00:14:57.556> which<00:14:57.733> is<00:14:57.813> another<00:14:58.134> interesting—<00:14:58.520> so<00:14:58.680> how<00:14:58.937> should<00:14:59.162> leaders<00:14:59.435> and<00:14:59.499> marketers<00:14:59.964> think<00:15:00.077> about<00:15:00.607> using<00:15:00.928> AI<00:15:01.265> and<00:15:01.425> the<00:15:01.506> balance<00:15:01.827> of<00:15:01.907> that?

00:15:02.549 --> 00:15:02.838
Totally.

00:15:02.951 --> 00:15:10.849
I<00:15:02.967> mean,<00:15:03.737> we<00:15:03.978> have<00:15:04.460> a<00:15:04.476> very—<00:15:05.102> listen,<00:15:06.081> in<00:15:06.177> a<00:15:06.226> few<00:15:06.482> years,<00:15:07.125> this<00:15:07.349> may<00:15:07.622> sound<00:15:08.008> really<00:15:08.313> dumb<00:15:08.489> because<00:15:08.730> the<00:15:08.794> AI<00:15:08.987> models<00:15:09.308> are<00:15:09.517> going,<00:15:09.838> they're<00:15:10.255> getting<00:15:10.496> better.

00:15:11.523 --> 00:15:20.803
And<00:15:11.572> I<00:15:11.604> always,<00:15:12.487> whenever<00:15:12.727> I<00:15:12.824> say<00:15:13.065> this,<00:15:13.289> I<00:15:13.305> tell<00:15:13.546> people<00:15:14.429> the<00:15:14.526> market<00:15:15.152> will<00:15:15.232> stay<00:15:15.553> irrational<00:15:17.158> long<00:15:17.399> enough<00:15:18.202> that<00:15:19.406> eventually<00:15:19.743> the<00:15:19.791> AI<00:15:20.048> tools<00:15:20.273> maybe<00:15:20.514> get<00:15:20.690> there.

00:15:21.236 --> 00:15:26.056
But<00:15:21.317> we<00:15:21.413> don't<00:15:21.558> believe<00:15:21.815> in<00:15:21.959> AI<00:15:22.216> for<00:15:22.923> generation<00:15:23.968> of<00:15:24.402> marketing<00:15:25.735> collateral.

00:15:26.314 --> 00:15:28.740
I<00:15:26.394> mean,<00:15:26.956> at<00:15:26.988> the<00:15:27.053> very<00:15:27.342> least<00:15:27.663> for<00:15:27.760> video,<00:15:28.483> right?

00:15:28.804 --> 00:15:31.343
So<00:15:29.591> all<00:15:29.672> our<00:15:29.832> video,<00:15:30.170> we<00:15:30.330> make<00:15:30.491> thousands<00:15:30.796> of<00:15:30.845> videos<00:15:31.134> a<00:15:31.198> month.

00:15:32.162 --> 00:15:33.978
All<00:15:32.259> of<00:15:32.291> that<00:15:32.483> is<00:15:32.580> human<00:15:32.821> creators,<00:15:33.785> right?

00:15:34.042 --> 00:15:36.645
So<00:15:34.749> we<00:15:34.974> use<00:15:35.295> AI<00:15:35.713> in<00:15:35.777> our<00:15:35.954> workflows.

00:15:36.822 --> 00:15:40.469
We<00:15:37.384> actually,<00:15:37.721> I<00:15:37.786> mean,<00:15:38.204> we're<00:15:38.348> one<00:15:38.445> of<00:15:38.477> the<00:15:38.766> few<00:15:38.991> marketing<00:15:39.409> agencies<00:15:39.875> with<00:15:39.971> a<00:15:39.987> CTO.

00:15:40.630 --> 00:15:47.121
Like<00:15:40.774> we<00:15:40.823> have<00:15:40.951> a<00:15:40.999> full<00:15:41.256> tech<00:15:41.497> team<00:15:41.899> that's<00:15:42.301> building<00:15:42.606> our<00:15:43.249> products,<00:15:44.389> both<00:15:44.566> external<00:15:44.952> facing<00:15:45.498> and<00:15:45.611> internally<00:15:46.157> for<00:15:46.221> our<00:15:46.398> team<00:15:46.639> to<00:15:46.784> use.

00:15:47.522 --> 00:15:53.131
But<00:15:48.067> almost<00:15:48.628> all<00:15:48.804> of<00:15:48.900> those<00:15:49.830> features,<00:15:50.422> the<00:15:50.551> products<00:15:50.887> that<00:15:50.967> we<00:15:51.047> build,<00:15:51.288> like<00:15:51.448> our<00:15:51.688> biggest<00:15:52.009> product<00:15:52.313> launch<00:15:52.490> has<00:15:52.570> been<00:15:52.794> Woolbot.

00:15:53.611 --> 00:15:56.880
Woolbot<00:15:53.948> is<00:15:54.092> essentially<00:15:54.973> an<00:15:55.198> agent<00:15:55.614> that<00:15:55.759> lives<00:15:55.935> natively<00:15:56.336> on<00:15:56.400> your<00:15:56.496> Slack.

00:15:57.073 --> 00:16:05.101
It<00:15:57.201> syncs<00:15:57.634> across<00:15:58.114> all<00:15:58.178> your<00:15:58.483> ad<00:15:58.659> data,<00:15:59.284> so<00:15:59.380> it<00:15:59.460> syncs<00:15:59.701> directly<00:16:00.101> with<00:16:00.262> Facebook<00:16:00.726> ads,<00:16:01.127> with<00:16:01.223> TikTok<00:16:01.768> ads,<00:16:02.649> and<00:16:02.906> can<00:16:03.050> actually<00:16:03.306> watch<00:16:03.627> the<00:16:03.771> ads<00:16:04.332> assets<00:16:04.733> themselves.

00:16:05.149 --> 00:16:09.171
So<00:16:05.694> you<00:16:05.774> can<00:16:05.934> ask<00:16:06.127> it<00:16:06.255> questions<00:16:06.736> like,<00:16:06.912> hey,<00:16:07.473> did<00:16:07.633> female<00:16:07.938> or<00:16:08.050> male<00:16:08.338> creators<00:16:08.659> perform<00:16:08.979> better?

00:16:09.636 --> 00:16:15.747
It<00:16:09.716> can<00:16:09.941> actually<00:16:10.181> monitor<00:16:10.502> the<00:16:10.582> ad<00:16:10.694> account<00:16:10.982> for<00:16:11.143> you,<00:16:11.239> tell<00:16:11.463> you,<00:16:11.559> hey,<00:16:12.280> these<00:16:12.441> types<00:16:12.745> of<00:16:13.467> creators<00:16:14.045> or<00:16:14.125> this<00:16:14.286> type<00:16:14.543> of<00:16:14.687> positioning<00:16:15.169> is<00:16:15.313> doing<00:16:15.570> better.

00:16:15.811 --> 00:16:16.887
You<00:16:15.892> should<00:16:16.052> double<00:16:16.293> down<00:16:16.534> on<00:16:16.678> this.

00:16:17.658 --> 00:16:18.750
It<00:16:17.738> does<00:16:17.899> our<00:16:18.043> creative<00:16:18.316> testing.

00:16:18.926 --> 00:16:21.543
So<00:16:19.328> our<00:16:19.424> creative<00:16:19.729> testing<00:16:20.147> is<00:16:20.307> fully<00:16:20.612> automated<00:16:20.949> at<00:16:21.110> this<00:16:21.351> point.

00:16:22.716 --> 00:16:27.051
It'll<00:16:23.840> use<00:16:24.000> statistics<00:16:24.707> to<00:16:24.803> try<00:16:24.947> and<00:16:25.044> understand,<00:16:25.445> okay,<00:16:25.750> what<00:16:25.991> ads<00:16:26.168> are<00:16:26.248> hitting<00:16:26.489> KPIs?

00:16:27.533 --> 00:16:28.111
What<00:16:27.613> should<00:16:27.757> we<00:16:27.789> scale?

00:16:28.159 --> 00:16:29.138
What<00:16:28.207> should<00:16:28.319> we<00:16:28.416> turn<00:16:28.737> off?

00:16:30.086 --> 00:16:31.739
Of<00:16:30.246> the<00:16:30.326> ones<00:16:30.487> that<00:16:30.567> we<00:16:30.664> turned<00:16:30.969> off,<00:16:31.129> what<00:16:31.226> can<00:16:31.386> we<00:16:31.531> learn?

00:16:31.948 --> 00:16:37.263
Can<00:16:32.044> we<00:16:32.109> compare<00:16:32.446> and<00:16:32.574> contrast<00:16:33.233> winners<00:16:33.554> and<00:16:33.698> losers<00:16:34.581> from<00:16:34.694> a<00:16:34.758> creative<00:16:35.159> perspective<00:16:35.962> and<00:16:36.059> see<00:16:36.219> which<00:16:36.508> ads<00:16:36.685> are<00:16:36.749> working<00:16:37.086> and<00:16:37.167> why?

00:16:38.580 --> 00:16:43.763
So<00:16:39.157> that's<00:16:39.414> been<00:16:39.575> a<00:16:39.639> game<00:16:39.879> changer<00:16:40.136> for<00:16:40.361> us<00:16:40.923> and<00:16:41.163> has<00:16:41.645> made<00:16:41.837> our<00:16:41.982> people<00:16:42.608> 10<00:16:42.784> times<00:16:43.185> more<00:16:43.330> productive.

00:16:44.453 --> 00:16:51.467
Uh,<00:16:44.935> however,<00:16:45.833> like,<00:16:46.780> a<00:16:46.861> lot<00:16:47.037> of<00:16:47.101> people<00:16:47.342> are<00:16:47.519> thinking<00:16:47.824> about<00:16:48.626> how<00:16:48.802> to<00:16:48.883> shortcut,<00:16:50.247> like,<00:16:50.472> how<00:16:50.504> to<00:16:50.584> take<00:16:50.728> shortcuts<00:16:51.130> with<00:16:51.274> AI.

00:16:51.611 --> 00:16:53.184
Like,<00:16:51.996> let<00:16:52.044> me<00:16:52.237> generate<00:16:52.670> AI<00:16:52.895> ads.

00:16:54.002 --> 00:16:57.019
Um,<00:16:54.644> but<00:16:55.142> the—<00:16:55.382> like,<00:16:55.623> we<00:16:55.768> work<00:16:55.944> with<00:16:56.089> advertisers<00:16:56.586> big<00:16:56.747> and<00:16:56.811> small.

00:16:57.116 --> 00:17:09.574
I'll<00:16:57.228> tell<00:16:57.388> you,<00:16:57.533> none<00:16:57.709> of<00:16:57.774> the<00:16:57.870> big<00:16:58.030> ones<00:16:58.271> do<00:16:58.432> this<00:16:58.833> because<00:16:59.138> they<00:16:59.298> realize,<00:17:00.438> like,<00:17:01.385> even<00:17:01.625> if<00:17:01.866> AI<00:17:02.123> ads<00:17:02.444> are,<00:17:02.524> like,<00:17:03.070> just<00:17:03.631> 5%<00:17:04.354> worse<00:17:05.076> If<00:17:05.156> you're<00:17:05.253> managing<00:17:05.638> a<00:17:05.654> million<00:17:05.976> dollars<00:17:06.377> worth<00:17:06.554> of<00:17:06.699> budget<00:17:06.940> a<00:17:06.956> month,<00:17:07.823> that's<00:17:08.048> 50<00:17:08.386> grand,<00:17:09.269> right?

00:17:09.767 --> 00:17:12.563
I'll<00:17:10.008> tell<00:17:10.378> you,<00:17:10.715> like,<00:17:10.892> human<00:17:11.277> ads<00:17:11.663> cost<00:17:11.920> less,<00:17:12.241> right?

00:17:12.627 --> 00:17:15.423
Like,<00:17:12.868> we<00:17:12.948> do<00:17:13.125> UGC,<00:17:13.366> we<00:17:13.703> do<00:17:13.848> the<00:17:13.928> short<00:17:14.234> form,<00:17:14.394> the<00:17:14.491> TikTok<00:17:14.892> style<00:17:15.198> ads.

00:17:16.001 --> 00:17:20.773
It<00:17:16.162> does<00:17:16.322> not<00:17:16.499> cost<00:17:16.820> 50<00:17:17.126> grand<00:17:17.543> to<00:17:17.640> make,<00:17:18.106> you<00:17:18.202> know,<00:17:19.214> even<00:17:19.552> 100<00:17:20.034> ads,<00:17:20.676> right?

00:17:20.821 --> 00:17:21.769
You<00:17:20.901> can<00:17:20.998> probably<00:17:21.255> do<00:17:21.303> that<00:17:21.399> for<00:17:21.560> less.

00:17:22.203 --> 00:17:26.187
So<00:17:23.729> that's<00:17:23.889> what,<00:17:24.050> like,<00:17:24.998> I<00:17:25.014> think<00:17:25.175> a<00:17:25.239> lot<00:17:25.352> of<00:17:25.416> people<00:17:25.576> are<00:17:25.657> getting<00:17:25.898> wrong<00:17:26.123> about.

00:17:26.235 --> 00:17:31.457
Like,<00:17:26.846> they're<00:17:27.247> trying<00:17:27.810> to—<00:17:28.870> this<00:17:29.175> is<00:17:29.256> the<00:17:29.336> shiny<00:17:29.673> thing<00:17:29.995> is<00:17:30.091> like<00:17:30.380> AI<00:17:30.637> ads,<00:17:30.943> AI<00:17:31.200> ads.

00:17:32.233 --> 00:17:36.916
But<00:17:32.330> the<00:17:32.476> actual<00:17:33.124> real<00:17:33.448> value<00:17:34.340> is<00:17:34.988> in<00:17:35.393> AI-assisted<00:17:36.446> workflows.

00:17:39.072 --> 00:17:47.967
And<00:17:39.233> the<00:17:39.330> reason<00:17:39.718> I<00:17:39.814> believe<00:17:40.121> this<00:17:40.202> so<00:17:40.379> strongly<00:17:40.864> is<00:17:41.025> because<00:17:41.283> if<00:17:41.412> you<00:17:41.509> look<00:17:41.687> at<00:17:41.767> an<00:17:41.913> industry<00:17:42.316> that's<00:17:42.720> maybe<00:17:42.962> more<00:17:43.123> advanced<00:17:44.092> from<00:17:44.269> a<00:17:44.495> tech<00:17:44.656> perspective<00:17:45.205> than<00:17:45.302> marketing,<00:17:46.174> look<00:17:46.335> at<00:17:46.755> DevTools,<00:17:47.352> look<00:17:47.562> at<00:17:47.643> Cursor.

00:17:48.600 --> 00:17:51.066
The<00:17:48.698> biggest<00:17:49.006> player,<00:17:49.509> Cursor,<00:17:49.768> is<00:17:49.979> huge<00:17:50.239> now.

00:17:51.618 --> 00:17:54.505
Cursor<00:17:52.088> wasn't<00:17:52.348> set<00:17:52.656> out<00:17:52.818> to<00:17:53.159> replace<00:17:53.662> programmers.

00:17:56.086 --> 00:17:56.917
It's<00:17:56.252> meant<00:17:56.418> to<00:17:56.452> empower<00:17:56.767> them.

00:17:57.212 --> 00:17:59.183
So<00:17:57.548> the<00:17:57.676> best<00:17:57.853> programmers<00:17:58.333> are<00:17:58.397> 10<00:17:58.574> times<00:17:58.814> better.

00:17:59.775 --> 00:18:04.310
Obviously<00:18:00.016> the<00:18:00.096> worst<00:18:00.400> ones<00:18:00.577> are<00:18:00.641> out<00:18:00.753> of<00:18:00.833> a<00:18:00.897> job<00:18:01.202> now,<00:18:01.939> but<00:18:02.163> like,<00:18:02.884> that's<00:18:03.140> always,<00:18:03.301> that's<00:18:03.541> always<00:18:03.717> going<00:18:03.814> to<00:18:03.862> be<00:18:03.942> the<00:18:04.086> case.

00:18:04.358 --> 00:18:09.053
Like,<00:18:04.727> yes,<00:18:04.967> if<00:18:05.063> you're<00:18:05.192> not<00:18:05.528> good,<00:18:06.570> you're<00:18:06.682> not<00:18:07.467> going<00:18:07.627> to,<00:18:07.771> you're<00:18:07.884> going<00:18:07.980> to<00:18:08.044> struggle<00:18:08.364> to<00:18:08.444> find<00:18:08.669> a<00:18:08.733> job.

00:18:09.470 --> 00:18:13.925
But<00:18:09.566> like,<00:18:10.976> I<00:18:11.377> actually<00:18:11.697> think<00:18:12.018> AI<00:18:12.178> is<00:18:12.274> only<00:18:12.435> going<00:18:12.531> to<00:18:12.595> make<00:18:12.995> the<00:18:13.075> best<00:18:13.316> marketers<00:18:13.716> better.

00:18:14.341 --> 00:18:14.422
Right.

00:18:14.518 --> 00:18:15.784
And<00:18:14.614> it's<00:18:14.774> certainly<00:18:15.095> making<00:18:15.383> us<00:18:15.559> better.

00:18:16.344 --> 00:18:18.748
And<00:18:16.601> that's<00:18:16.825> how<00:18:16.985> I<00:18:17.162> think<00:18:17.322> of<00:18:17.722> implementing<00:18:18.187> in<00:18:18.219> our<00:18:18.363> day<00:18:18.460> to<00:18:18.604> day.

00:18:19.165 --> 00:18:22.337
What<00:18:19.261> do<00:18:19.325> you<00:18:19.421> see,<00:18:19.870> like,<00:18:20.431> how<00:18:20.527> do<00:18:20.671> you,<00:18:20.911> where<00:18:21.007> do<00:18:21.056> you<00:18:21.104> see<00:18:21.312> this<00:18:21.408> company<00:18:21.729> in<00:18:21.809> 5<00:18:22.033> years?

00:18:22.514 --> 00:18:23.507
How<00:18:22.594> are<00:18:22.754> you<00:18:22.850> thinking<00:18:23.171> about<00:18:23.411> it?

00:18:24.278 --> 00:18:27.394
I<00:18:24.358> want<00:18:24.519> to<00:18:24.615> be<00:18:25.000> like<00:18:25.177> the<00:18:25.322> leading<00:18:25.579> name<00:18:25.900> in<00:18:26.093> kind<00:18:26.285> of<00:18:26.446> software<00:18:26.767> growth,<00:18:27.169> right?

00:18:27.490 --> 00:18:34.621
Like,<00:18:28.052> um,<00:18:28.630> I<00:18:28.711> don't<00:18:28.855> think<00:18:29.016> there<00:18:29.112> is<00:18:29.257> like,<00:18:30.236> if<00:18:30.317> you<00:18:30.461> think<00:18:30.574> about<00:18:30.654> like<00:18:30.782> software<00:18:31.200> growth,<00:18:31.585> like<00:18:31.762> growing<00:18:32.469> software<00:18:32.806> companies,<00:18:33.288> like<00:18:33.513> nothing<00:18:33.914> really<00:18:34.075> comes<00:18:34.316> to<00:18:34.412> mind.

00:18:34.733 --> 00:18:36.195
Like<00:18:34.798> there's<00:18:35.055> no,<00:18:35.536> there's<00:18:35.890> no<00:18:36.018> name.

00:18:36.323 --> 00:18:37.962
Obviously<00:18:36.741> we're<00:18:36.837> not<00:18:36.982> going<00:18:37.062> to<00:18:37.110> be<00:18:37.223> a<00:18:37.448> household<00:18:37.897> name.

00:18:38.026 --> 00:18:39.327
We're<00:18:38.492> kind<00:18:38.572> of<00:18:38.668> B2B,<00:18:39.134> right?

00:18:39.391 --> 00:18:45.237
But,<00:18:40.178> um,<00:18:40.981> I<00:18:41.318> believe<00:18:41.720> that<00:18:41.881> there<00:18:42.025> is<00:18:42.282> a<00:18:42.427> lot<00:18:42.619> of<00:18:42.748> great<00:18:43.149> e-commerce<00:18:43.631> agencies<00:18:44.434> out<00:18:44.531> there,<00:18:44.932> right?

00:18:45.639 --> 00:18:47.871
There's<00:18:46.201> not<00:18:46.394> a<00:18:46.458> whole<00:18:46.602> lot<00:18:46.795> of<00:18:46.859> great<00:18:47.084> software<00:18:47.422> agencies.

00:18:48.482 --> 00:18:50.811
You<00:18:48.562> know,<00:18:49.172> I<00:18:49.429> think<00:18:49.590> we're,<00:18:50.040> We're<00:18:50.216> one<00:18:50.297> of<00:18:50.393> the<00:18:50.473> better<00:18:50.634> ones.

00:18:50.859 --> 00:18:56.145
We're<00:18:50.955> new,<00:18:52.305> and<00:18:52.546> there's<00:18:52.723> so<00:18:52.964> much<00:18:53.189> more<00:18:53.350> to<00:18:53.430> be<00:18:54.073> left<00:18:54.314> on<00:18:54.394> the<00:18:54.426> table<00:18:54.796> for<00:18:54.892> us<00:18:55.214> to<00:18:55.438> capitalize<00:18:56.001> on.

00:18:57.222 --> 00:18:58.524
And<00:18:57.302> we<00:18:57.367> have<00:18:57.688> ambitious<00:18:58.090> plans,<00:18:58.427> right?

00:18:58.588 --> 00:19:08.006
So<00:18:58.909> that's<00:18:59.295> really<00:18:59.440> what<00:19:00.035> I<00:19:00.100> want<00:19:00.196> to<00:19:00.261> get<00:19:00.824> Newform<00:19:01.565> to,<00:19:01.726> is<00:19:01.807> become<00:19:03.336> kind<00:19:03.497> of<00:19:03.578> that<00:19:05.655> state-of-the-art<00:19:06.557> growth<00:19:07.748> partner.

00:19:08.473 --> 00:19:14.848
Tell<00:19:08.537> me<00:19:08.666> more<00:19:08.860> about<00:19:09.053> Wilbot<00:19:09.761> and<00:19:09.938> this<00:19:10.180> idea<00:19:11.146> of,<00:19:11.451> like<00:19:11.612> you<00:19:11.693> just<00:19:11.790> mentioned,<00:19:12.095> it's<00:19:12.192> like<00:19:12.595> the<00:19:12.739> world's<00:19:13.061> first<00:19:13.383> AI<00:19:13.786> performance<00:19:14.349> marketer.

00:19:15.412 --> 00:19:24.416
You<00:19:15.492> kind<00:19:15.637> of<00:19:15.734> explained<00:19:16.120> what<00:19:16.217> it<00:19:16.362> did<00:19:17.328> a<00:19:17.424> little<00:19:17.585> bit<00:19:17.730> ago,<00:19:18.068> but<00:19:18.471> tell<00:19:18.617> us<00:19:18.720> more<00:19:18.875> about<00:19:19.065> that<00:19:19.478> and<00:19:20.226> This<00:19:20.402> idea<00:19:20.804> of<00:19:21.045> like,<00:19:21.350> you're<00:19:21.526> right,<00:19:21.831> I<00:19:21.912> can't<00:19:22.088> even<00:19:22.313> think<00:19:22.490> of<00:19:22.586> a<00:19:22.650> marketing<00:19:23.276> firm<00:19:23.613> that<00:19:23.742> has<00:19:23.870> a<00:19:23.935> CTO.

00:19:24.496 --> 00:19:25.171
That's<00:19:24.737> really<00:19:24.978> interesting.

00:19:25.219 --> 00:19:27.322
That's<00:19:25.396> a<00:19:25.524> really<00:19:26.022> interesting<00:19:26.664> differentiator.

00:19:27.852 --> 00:19:40.166
Yeah,<00:19:28.253> I<00:19:28.269> mean,<00:19:28.671> it's<00:19:28.831> because<00:19:29.859> like<00:19:30.662> I<00:19:31.224> came<00:19:31.464> from<00:19:31.625> the<00:19:31.721> world<00:19:31.978> of,<00:19:32.203> you<00:19:32.235> know,<00:19:32.588> VC-backed<00:19:33.006> companies<00:19:33.568> and<00:19:34.033> software<00:19:34.611> and<00:19:34.691> like<00:19:35.735> my<00:19:35.880> co-founders<00:19:36.602> like<00:19:36.779> did<00:19:36.859> not,<00:19:37.405> they<00:19:37.742> like,<00:19:37.806> I<00:19:37.886> have<00:19:38.047> two<00:19:38.143> co-founders,<00:19:38.785> they<00:19:38.930> do<00:19:39.010> not<00:19:39.171> have<00:19:39.347> marketing<00:19:39.668> backgrounds.

00:19:40.535 --> 00:19:43.811
Frankly,<00:19:40.808> a<00:19:40.873> lot<00:19:41.017> of<00:19:41.049> our<00:19:41.194> team<00:19:42.141> like<00:19:42.558> does<00:19:42.719> not<00:19:42.880> have<00:19:43.040> a<00:19:43.104> marketing<00:19:43.441> background.

00:19:43.859 --> 00:19:46.171
Like<00:19:44.003> we're<00:19:44.549> more<00:19:45.047> non-traditional<00:19:45.673> in<00:19:45.753> that<00:19:45.930> way.

00:19:46.973 --> 00:19:49.750
So<00:19:47.118> we<00:19:47.214> see<00:19:47.455> the<00:19:47.519> industry<00:19:47.856> in<00:19:48.000> a<00:19:48.016> new<00:19:48.257> lens,<00:19:48.594> and<00:19:48.723> I<00:19:48.739> actually<00:19:48.979> think<00:19:49.140> that's<00:19:49.380> a<00:19:49.445> good<00:19:49.685> thing.

00:19:50.841 --> 00:19:53.457
So<00:19:51.547> like,<00:19:51.691> people<00:19:52.189> really,<00:19:52.815> really<00:19:52.991> like<00:19:53.232> that.

00:19:53.617 --> 00:19:55.045
Like,<00:19:53.874> they<00:19:53.970> like<00:19:54.211> that<00:19:54.339> we're<00:19:54.500> outsiders.

00:19:55.976 --> 00:19:57.180
So<00:19:56.843> that's<00:19:57.084> that.

00:19:57.228 --> 00:20:09.408
Like,<00:19:57.340> in<00:19:57.404> terms<00:19:57.645> of,<00:19:57.886> you<00:19:57.918> know,<00:19:58.207> on<00:19:58.512> Wilbot,<00:19:59.988> essentially,<00:20:00.614> like,<00:20:01.898> if<00:20:01.978> you<00:20:02.074> look<00:20:02.235> at<00:20:02.299> the<00:20:02.379> history<00:20:02.941> of<00:20:03.727> marketing,<00:20:04.947> there's<00:20:05.188> been<00:20:05.412> media<00:20:06.295> and<00:20:06.343> there's<00:20:06.472> been<00:20:06.632> creative,<00:20:07.659> and<00:20:07.996> they<00:20:08.092> don't<00:20:08.237> talk<00:20:08.413> like<00:20:08.783> they're<00:20:08.879> different<00:20:09.184> teams.

00:20:09.922 --> 00:20:16.405
So<00:20:10.403> the<00:20:10.468> media<00:20:10.789> team<00:20:11.190> will<00:20:11.751> be<00:20:11.848> in<00:20:11.912> the<00:20:11.944> dashboards<00:20:12.554> all<00:20:12.650> day,<00:20:12.891> look<00:20:13.035> at<00:20:13.132> data,<00:20:13.613> try<00:20:13.854> to,<00:20:14.239> you<00:20:14.271> know,<00:20:14.480> get<00:20:14.640> to<00:20:14.897> KPIs<00:20:15.458> and<00:20:15.763> stuff<00:20:16.004> like<00:20:16.165> that.

00:20:16.582 --> 00:20:20.417
And<00:20:16.678> the<00:20:16.742> creative<00:20:17.079> team<00:20:17.464> is<00:20:18.732> honestly<00:20:18.989> like<00:20:19.374> just<00:20:19.791> being<00:20:20.016> creative.

00:20:20.658 --> 00:20:27.654
Like,<00:20:21.380> uh,<00:20:21.636> and<00:20:21.717> more<00:20:21.941> and<00:20:22.038> more<00:20:22.359> we're<00:20:22.455> seeing<00:20:22.776> this<00:20:23.000> intersection<00:20:23.546> of<00:20:23.642> like,<00:20:24.108> actually,<00:20:24.380> no,<00:20:24.605> like<00:20:24.830> you<00:20:24.894> have<00:20:25.070> performance<00:20:25.712> content,<00:20:26.531> performance<00:20:27.173> creative.

00:20:27.814 --> 00:20:31.730
Like<00:20:27.975> that's<00:20:28.200> a<00:20:28.232> new<00:20:28.536> word<00:20:29.002> that<00:20:29.162> like,<00:20:29.804> you<00:20:29.900> know,<00:20:30.157> I<00:20:30.173> don't<00:20:30.382> think<00:20:30.558> existed<00:20:31.088> 5<00:20:31.264> years<00:20:31.505> ago.

00:20:32.083 --> 00:20:35.950
So<00:20:33.013> we're<00:20:33.110> seeing<00:20:33.334> this<00:20:33.511> intersection<00:20:34.056> between<00:20:34.554> media<00:20:35.356> and<00:20:35.501> content.

00:20:35.998 --> 00:20:39.865
It's<00:20:36.239> because<00:20:37.186> these<00:20:37.362> new<00:20:37.523> platforms,<00:20:38.870> uh,<00:20:39.031> have<00:20:39.207> converged<00:20:39.609> the<00:20:39.689> two.

00:20:39.930 --> 00:20:43.893
Like<00:20:40.234> more<00:20:40.475> and<00:20:40.636> more<00:20:41.438> Meta<00:20:41.855> just<00:20:42.016> tells<00:20:42.481> you,<00:20:42.882> just<00:20:43.059> give<00:20:43.283> me<00:20:43.444> content.

00:20:44.264 --> 00:20:45.900
And<00:20:44.426> I'll<00:20:44.977> do<00:20:45.139> the<00:20:45.203> media<00:20:45.544> for<00:20:45.803> you.

00:20:46.191 --> 00:20:46.305
Right.

00:20:46.370 --> 00:20:51.180
So<00:20:47.018> they're<00:20:47.244> really<00:20:47.503> pushing<00:20:47.827> and<00:20:47.908> then<00:20:48.151> Zuck<00:20:49.123> at<00:20:49.204> a<00:20:49.220> certain<00:20:49.528> point<00:20:49.771> may<00:20:49.998> even<00:20:50.160> automate<00:20:50.500> the<00:20:50.581> creative<00:20:50.986> layer.

00:20:51.375 --> 00:20:51.569
Right.

00:20:51.618 --> 00:20:57.095
So<00:20:52.346> I<00:20:54.519> can<00:20:54.696> talk<00:20:54.938> about<00:20:55.099> that<00:20:55.196> for<00:20:55.485> a<00:20:55.646> while.

00:20:57.739 --> 00:21:01.184
But<00:20:57.916> those<00:20:58.158> two<00:20:58.463> teams<00:20:58.721> have<00:20:58.866> not<00:20:59.043> talked<00:20:59.590> and<00:21:00.154> we<00:21:00.395> want<00:21:00.492> to<00:21:00.798> connect<00:21:01.120> them.

00:21:01.361 --> 00:21:02.504
We<00:21:01.458> think<00:21:01.780> they're<00:21:02.005> one<00:21:02.070> and<00:21:02.134> the<00:21:02.182> same.

00:21:02.907 --> 00:21:06.258
At<00:21:03.052> the<00:21:03.133> end<00:21:03.229> of<00:21:03.310> the<00:21:03.342> day,<00:21:03.858> content<00:21:04.212> informs<00:21:04.615> the<00:21:04.695> media,<00:21:05.082> media<00:21:05.388> informs<00:21:05.726> the<00:21:05.791> content.

00:21:06.758 --> 00:21:23.864
And<00:21:06.854> that's<00:21:07.176> the<00:21:07.321> gist<00:21:07.644> of<00:21:07.885> what<00:21:07.982> we're<00:21:08.143> building<00:21:08.449> with<00:21:08.546> WillBot<00:21:09.496> is<00:21:09.899> how<00:21:10.141> can<00:21:10.253> we<00:21:10.382> connect<00:21:12.159> the<00:21:12.320> data,<00:21:12.737> the<00:21:12.817> KPIs,<00:21:13.781> what<00:21:13.941> the<00:21:14.022> business<00:21:14.279> objectives<00:21:14.889> are<00:21:15.467> to<00:21:15.627> the<00:21:15.707> content,<00:21:16.334> translate<00:21:16.831> them<00:21:16.976> to<00:21:17.072> content<00:21:17.458> learnings,<00:21:18.260> give<00:21:18.421> that<00:21:18.597> back<00:21:18.838> to<00:21:18.903> our<00:21:19.015> team,<00:21:19.946> have<00:21:20.187> them<00:21:20.428> iterate<00:21:21.006> with<00:21:21.182> a<00:21:21.247> human-first<00:21:21.889> approach,<00:21:22.852> and<00:21:22.916> then<00:21:23.093> plug<00:21:23.334> that<00:21:23.575> back.

00:21:23.960 --> 00:21:25.325
That<00:21:24.121> way<00:21:24.217> we're<00:21:24.683> moving<00:21:25.020> fast.

00:21:26.449 --> 00:21:30.768
So<00:21:26.497> like<00:21:27.251> creative<00:21:27.573> velocity<00:21:28.006> for<00:21:28.215> us<00:21:28.407> is<00:21:28.504> like<00:21:28.777> the<00:21:28.809> number<00:21:29.114> one<00:21:29.435> biggest<00:21:29.756> indicator<00:21:30.157> of<00:21:30.238> like<00:21:30.414> success.

00:21:30.944 --> 00:21:34.300
Like<00:21:31.105> if<00:21:31.201> we<00:21:31.297> think<00:21:31.538> about<00:21:31.667> like,<00:21:32.164> are<00:21:32.245> we<00:21:32.325> doing<00:21:32.710> one<00:21:33.047> iteration<00:21:33.449> a<00:21:33.465> month<00:21:33.866> or<00:21:34.011> 10?

00:21:34.958 --> 00:21:40.465
And<00:21:35.295> if<00:21:35.376> we're<00:21:35.456> doing<00:21:35.697> 10,<00:21:37.110> we're<00:21:37.302> just<00:21:37.463> going<00:21:37.575> to<00:21:37.688> hit<00:21:38.571> metrics<00:21:38.988> a<00:21:39.052> lot<00:21:39.165> faster<00:21:39.855> than<00:21:39.935> if<00:21:40.016> we're<00:21:40.112> doing<00:21:40.337> one.

00:21:40.819 --> 00:21:47.097
And<00:21:40.995> we<00:21:41.156> want<00:21:41.300> to<00:21:41.348> make<00:21:42.023> doing<00:21:42.280> 10<00:21:43.147> as,<00:21:44.046> you<00:21:44.142> know,<00:21:44.351> clean,<00:21:44.785> as<00:21:44.865> straightforward,<00:21:45.587> as<00:21:45.796> operationalized<00:21:46.471> as<00:21:46.615> possible.

00:21:47.402 --> 00:21:48.670
And<00:21:47.482> that's<00:21:47.723> what<00:21:47.819> we're<00:21:47.980> building<00:21:48.221> tech<00:21:48.462> around.

00:21:49.264 --> 00:21:57.646
What<00:21:49.505> makes<00:21:50.453> a<00:21:50.693> good<00:21:51.673> short-term<00:21:52.379> ad<00:21:52.636> versus<00:21:52.957> like<00:21:53.134> a<00:21:53.262> great—<00:21:53.519> like,<00:21:53.680> what's<00:21:53.840> the<00:21:53.921> difference<00:21:54.146> between<00:21:54.338> a<00:21:54.402> great<00:21:55.510> short-form<00:21:56.072> ad<00:21:56.554> and<00:21:57.116> a<00:21:57.293> good<00:21:57.517> one?

00:21:57.871 --> 00:21:59.252
It's<00:21:58.674> a<00:21:58.722> great<00:21:58.882> question.

00:21:59.605 --> 00:22:01.387
Um,<00:22:00.087> I<00:22:00.183> would<00:22:00.343> say<00:22:01.050> flow.

00:22:02.190 --> 00:22:06.598
Like,<00:22:02.816> It's,<00:22:03.232> it's<00:22:03.393> kind<00:22:03.649> of<00:22:03.857> like<00:22:04.034> very<00:22:04.258> Rick<00:22:04.498> Rubin-y,<00:22:04.899> but<00:22:04.979> like<00:22:05.139> you<00:22:05.171> just<00:22:05.476> get,<00:22:05.876> it<00:22:05.957> has<00:22:06.277> to<00:22:06.357> flow.

00:22:07.319 --> 00:22:09.674
And<00:22:07.383> what<00:22:07.479> I<00:22:07.623> mean<00:22:07.799> by<00:22:07.960> that,<00:22:08.280> it<00:22:08.360> needs<00:22:08.520> to<00:22:08.681> feel<00:22:09.242> natural.

00:22:09.883 --> 00:22:11.934
It<00:22:10.059> needs<00:22:10.347> to<00:22:10.427> feel<00:22:10.604> like<00:22:10.844> you're<00:22:11.084> talking<00:22:11.485> to<00:22:11.581> a<00:22:11.645> friend.

00:22:12.591 --> 00:22:18.103
And<00:22:12.847> that's<00:22:13.071> really<00:22:13.328> hard<00:22:13.809> to<00:22:14.049> do<00:22:14.289> in<00:22:14.369> an<00:22:14.514> ad<00:22:14.834> cuz<00:22:14.930> you're<00:22:15.074> selling<00:22:15.491> it,<00:22:16.132> but<00:22:17.174> there's<00:22:17.350> a<00:22:17.414> good<00:22:17.574> way<00:22:17.654> to<00:22:17.815> do<00:22:17.975> it.

00:22:18.279 --> 00:22:26.179
I<00:22:18.375> think<00:22:18.696> the<00:22:19.257> biggest<00:22:19.657> thing<00:22:19.898> is<00:22:20.683> a<00:22:20.763> lot<00:22:20.923> of<00:22:21.084> people<00:22:21.725> think<00:22:21.901> really<00:22:22.446> heavily<00:22:22.766> about<00:22:23.007> the<00:22:23.087> hook,<00:22:23.487> but<00:22:23.583> they<00:22:23.664> don't<00:22:23.824> think<00:22:23.984> about<00:22:24.208> how<00:22:24.321> it<00:22:24.385> transitions<00:22:25.586> into<00:22:25.923> the<00:22:26.003> sale.

00:22:26.724 --> 00:22:32.481
So<00:22:27.269> one<00:22:27.734> very<00:22:28.134> easy<00:22:29.048> Format<00:22:29.529> that<00:22:29.657> we<00:22:29.818> use<00:22:30.379> is<00:22:30.716> kind<00:22:30.845> of<00:22:30.893> introducing<00:22:31.454> a<00:22:31.518> problem<00:22:31.919> in<00:22:32.000> the<00:22:32.144> hook.

00:22:32.946 --> 00:22:37.133
Um,<00:22:33.363> and<00:22:33.427> one<00:22:33.524> of<00:22:33.588> our<00:22:33.700> favorite<00:22:34.021> hooks<00:22:34.326> is<00:22:34.470> like,<00:22:35.112> I<00:22:35.353> hate<00:22:35.834> X<00:22:36.091> problem,<00:22:36.893> right?

00:22:37.599 --> 00:22:39.283
I<00:22:37.919> hate<00:22:38.256> being<00:22:38.577> broke,<00:22:39.139> right?

00:22:39.379 --> 00:22:42.395
Like,<00:22:39.877> so<00:22:40.326> I,<00:22:40.583> and<00:22:40.663> then<00:22:40.823> like<00:22:41.064> you,<00:22:41.385> you<00:22:41.529> naturally<00:22:41.898> transition.

00:22:42.492 --> 00:22:45.893
So<00:22:42.909> I<00:22:42.989> found<00:22:43.534> X<00:22:44.497> and<00:22:44.738> it<00:22:45.235> did<00:22:45.540> Y<00:22:45.652> for<00:22:45.812> me.

00:22:46.518 --> 00:22:48.828
And<00:22:46.599> like,<00:22:46.823> that's<00:22:47.000> a<00:22:47.144> very<00:22:47.337> simple<00:22:47.625> ad<00:22:47.866> script<00:22:48.123> that<00:22:48.203> flows<00:22:48.524> well.

00:22:49.310 --> 00:22:52.149
Um,<00:22:49.887> can<00:22:50.032> you<00:22:50.208> do<00:22:50.369> that<00:22:50.914> in<00:22:51.010> a<00:22:51.315> more<00:22:51.476> visually<00:22:51.700> interesting<00:22:52.053> way?

00:22:52.213 --> 00:22:55.069
Maybe<00:22:52.454> in<00:22:52.550> a<00:22:52.599> street<00:22:52.855> interview,<00:22:53.721> maybe<00:22:54.139> on<00:22:54.219> a<00:22:54.299> podcast<00:22:54.861> set.

00:22:56.626 --> 00:22:58.279
Maybe<00:22:57.011> it's<00:22:57.139> like<00:22:57.332> a<00:22:57.364> skit<00:22:57.894> outdoors.

00:22:58.776 --> 00:23:05.869
So<00:22:59.819> good<00:22:59.980> ads<00:23:00.638> sell<00:23:01.280> the<00:23:01.360> product<00:23:03.366> and<00:23:03.591> like<00:23:03.767> they'll<00:23:04.008> go<00:23:04.168> over<00:23:05.195> the<00:23:05.292> good<00:23:05.452> selling<00:23:05.693> points.

00:23:05.934 --> 00:23:07.410
Great<00:23:06.319> ads<00:23:06.832> flow<00:23:07.298> well.

00:23:07.875 --> 00:23:20.875
So<00:23:08.036> it's,<00:23:08.662> at<00:23:08.742> the<00:23:08.887> end<00:23:09.063> of<00:23:09.127> the<00:23:09.304> day,<00:23:09.384> it's<00:23:09.544> about<00:23:09.801> engaging<00:23:10.507> your<00:23:10.588> viewer<00:23:11.534> and<00:23:11.775> it's,<00:23:13.300> this<00:23:13.476> is<00:23:13.637> where<00:23:14.343> you<00:23:14.423> kind<00:23:14.680> of<00:23:14.744> just<00:23:14.905> have<00:23:15.081> to<00:23:15.242> do<00:23:15.386> it<00:23:15.723> a<00:23:15.739> million<00:23:16.124> times,<00:23:16.445> frankly,<00:23:18.034> to<00:23:18.291> understand<00:23:18.756> like,<00:23:19.013> okay,<00:23:19.398> what<00:23:19.559> is<00:23:19.976> that<00:23:20.441> authentic?

00:23:21.003 --> 00:23:23.251
It's<00:23:21.260> ultimately,<00:23:22.368> authentic,<00:23:23.107> right?

00:23:23.332 --> 00:23:25.533
Is<00:23:23.508> like,<00:23:24.135> what<00:23:24.183> does<00:23:24.312> that<00:23:24.472> authenticity<00:23:25.099> look<00:23:25.276> like?

00:23:25.822 --> 00:23:28.971
Um,<00:23:26.705> and<00:23:26.802> that's<00:23:27.107> why<00:23:27.187> I<00:23:27.348> think<00:23:27.525> humans<00:23:27.862> are<00:23:28.167> so<00:23:28.328> important<00:23:28.649> in<00:23:28.810> the<00:23:28.874> loop.

00:23:30.079 --> 00:23:39.607
Do<00:23:30.144> you<00:23:30.240> think<00:23:30.417> like<00:23:30.577> we're—<00:23:31.622> we<00:23:31.766> may<00:23:31.943> already<00:23:32.505> be<00:23:32.730> here,<00:23:32.971> but<00:23:33.309> we're<00:23:33.469> getting<00:23:33.630> close<00:23:33.935> to<00:23:34.016> like<00:23:34.578> any<00:23:34.755> new<00:23:35.253> celebrity<00:23:36.779> is<00:23:36.924> going<00:23:37.100> to<00:23:37.149> come<00:23:37.325> from<00:23:37.486> social<00:23:37.888> media,<00:23:38.434> not<00:23:38.611> traditional<00:23:39.093> media<00:23:39.334> anymore.

00:23:40.233 --> 00:23:41.679
Do<00:23:40.281> you<00:23:40.378> think<00:23:40.539> we're<00:23:40.683> like<00:23:40.860> getting<00:23:41.101> to<00:23:41.245> that<00:23:41.406> point?

00:23:42.306 --> 00:23:48.379
Like<00:23:42.627> the<00:23:42.707> celebrities<00:23:43.173> now<00:23:43.286> are<00:23:43.414> like<00:23:43.671> YouTubers<00:23:45.021> and<00:23:46.081> TikTokers,<00:23:47.206> and<00:23:47.431> like<00:23:47.608> it's,<00:23:47.865> it's<00:23:48.090> wild.

00:23:49.139 --> 00:23:52.248
I<00:23:49.220> think<00:23:50.256> this<00:23:50.434> is,<00:23:51.308> I<00:23:51.325> guess<00:23:51.567> this<00:23:51.665> is<00:23:51.794> interesting.

00:23:55.356 --> 00:24:05.213
I<00:23:55.454> would<00:23:55.599> say<00:23:56.166> that<00:23:57.217> traditional<00:23:57.653> media<00:23:59.088> will<00:23:59.748> naturally<00:24:00.458> always,<00:24:01.344> like,<00:24:01.667> it's<00:24:01.973> easier<00:24:02.167> to<00:24:02.376> go<00:24:02.537> from<00:24:02.715> traditional<00:24:03.134> media<00:24:03.698> to<00:24:03.908> social<00:24:04.246> media<00:24:04.569> than<00:24:04.714> vice<00:24:04.940> versa.

00:24:05.839 --> 00:24:09.084
Although<00:24:06.418> the,<00:24:07.703> you<00:24:07.735> know,<00:24:07.863> vice<00:24:08.104> versa<00:24:08.361> is<00:24:08.442> becoming<00:24:08.827> easier.

00:24:09.631 --> 00:24:10.289
Like,<00:24:09.856> think<00:24:09.968> about<00:24:10.209> it.

00:24:10.418 --> 00:24:14.434
Like<00:24:11.559> Brad<00:24:11.880> Pitt,<00:24:13.310> like<00:24:13.711> has<00:24:13.968> an<00:24:14.049> Instagram.

00:24:14.531 --> 00:24:18.098
I<00:24:14.547> don't<00:24:14.740> think<00:24:14.920> Brad,<00:24:15.100> like<00:24:15.346> Brad<00:24:15.509> Pitt<00:24:15.608> isn't<00:24:15.837> a<00:24:15.853> show,<00:24:16.083> but<00:24:16.394> I<00:24:16.492> bet<00:24:16.722> he<00:24:16.754> has<00:24:16.853> a<00:24:16.885> lot<00:24:17.049> of<00:24:17.148> followers,<00:24:17.950> right?

00:24:18.644 --> 00:24:19.946
Just<00:24:18.725> because<00:24:18.853> he's<00:24:19.094> Brad<00:24:19.319> Pitt,<00:24:19.817> right?

00:24:20.042 --> 00:24:21.038
Like,<00:24:20.283> you<00:24:20.363> know<00:24:20.460> who<00:24:20.604> Brad<00:24:20.781> Pitt<00:24:21.006> is.

00:24:21.921 --> 00:24:28.443
So<00:24:22.869> actually,<00:24:24.074> like,<00:24:24.877> there's<00:24:25.102> this—<00:24:26.307> I<00:24:26.387> think<00:24:26.564> we'll<00:24:26.805> return<00:24:27.512> honestly<00:24:27.769> back<00:24:27.994> to<00:24:28.090> a<00:24:28.106> medium.

00:24:28.492 --> 00:24:38.467
There's<00:24:28.604> like<00:24:29.038> the<00:24:29.198> Overton<00:24:29.536> window<00:24:29.857> has<00:24:29.953> shifted<00:24:30.419> so<00:24:30.660> much<00:24:30.821> to<00:24:30.965> like<00:24:31.142> the<00:24:31.222> social<00:24:31.624> stuff<00:24:32.347> that<00:24:32.443> like,<00:24:33.006> I<00:24:33.070> think<00:24:33.230> traditional<00:24:34.500> still<00:24:34.837> has<00:24:35.463> a<00:24:35.544> role<00:24:35.865> and<00:24:35.961> like<00:24:36.267> people<00:24:36.508> like<00:24:36.684> the<00:24:37.327> IRL<00:24:38.146> stuff.

00:24:38.532 --> 00:24:47.093
I<00:24:38.708> mean,<00:24:39.576> as<00:24:39.736> much<00:24:40.042> as<00:24:40.764> my<00:24:40.925> generation<00:24:41.568> like<00:24:42.146> loves<00:24:42.531> the<00:24:43.576> screens,<00:24:44.138> actually<00:24:44.957> we<00:24:45.102> also<00:24:45.359> crave<00:24:45.680> like<00:24:46.627> other<00:24:46.868> things.

00:24:47.446 --> 00:24:50.063
Yeah,<00:24:48.233> yeah,<00:24:48.473> I<00:24:48.650> am<00:24:48.955> seeing<00:24:49.212> that<00:24:49.453> too,<00:24:49.693> actually.

00:24:50.560 --> 00:24:59.742
Finally,<00:24:51.202> uh,<00:24:51.443> we<00:24:51.620> end<00:24:51.861> every<00:24:52.182> interview<00:24:52.503> with<00:24:52.647> the<00:24:52.679> same<00:24:52.968> question,<00:24:53.691> and<00:24:53.787> that<00:24:54.028> is,<00:24:54.349> at<00:24:54.429> CEO.com,<00:24:56.034> we<00:24:56.195> believe<00:24:56.452> the<00:24:56.580> chances<00:24:56.997> one<00:24:57.302> gives<00:24:57.800> is<00:24:57.880> just<00:24:58.137> as<00:24:58.201> important<00:24:58.522> as<00:24:58.667> the<00:24:58.747> chances<00:24:59.084> one<00:24:59.245> takes.

00:25:00.288 --> 00:25:02.792
When<00:25:00.513> you<00:25:00.673> hear<00:25:00.850> that,<00:25:01.027> who<00:25:01.171> gave<00:25:01.396> you<00:25:01.492> a<00:25:01.572> chance<00:25:01.877> to<00:25:01.958> get<00:25:02.070> you<00:25:02.102> to<00:25:02.215> where<00:25:02.439> you<00:25:02.520> are<00:25:02.696> today?

00:25:03.113 --> 00:25:04.189
It's<00:25:03.515> a<00:25:03.579> great<00:25:03.804> question.

00:25:04.446 --> 00:25:11.734
Um,<00:25:05.730> honestly,<00:25:05.971> I<00:25:06.067> think<00:25:06.228> my,<00:25:06.629> my<00:25:06.773> last,<00:25:07.432> you<00:25:07.592> know,<00:25:07.737> the<00:25:07.977> last<00:25:08.106> startup,<00:25:09.101> um,<00:25:09.904> I,<00:25:10.241> I<00:25:10.305> went—<00:25:10.466> when<00:25:10.626> I<00:25:10.722> joined,<00:25:11.027> it<00:25:11.108> was<00:25:11.204> called<00:25:11.364> Faves.

00:25:11.991 --> 00:25:22.232
Um,<00:25:12.328> when<00:25:12.472> I<00:25:12.568> joined<00:25:12.793> Faves,<00:25:13.692> it<00:25:13.772> was<00:25:13.932> basically,<00:25:14.637> it<00:25:14.813> was<00:25:14.958> Tyler,<00:25:15.214> who's<00:25:15.374> CEO,<00:25:17.041> and<00:25:17.297> Jacob,<00:25:18.018> who's<00:25:19.220> now<00:25:19.701> currently<00:25:19.957> CEO,<00:25:20.566> who's<00:25:21.063> founding<00:25:21.367> engineer<00:25:21.704> basically.

00:25:23.290 --> 00:25:26.206
And<00:25:24.187> that<00:25:24.235> was<00:25:24.348> kind<00:25:24.652> of<00:25:24.748> like,<00:25:24.972> I<00:25:25.069> think<00:25:25.133> there<00:25:25.213> was<00:25:25.389> a<00:25:25.453> freelance<00:25:25.902> designer.

00:25:26.254 --> 00:25:26.863
That<00:25:26.318> was<00:25:26.431> kind<00:25:26.655> of<00:25:26.815> it.

00:25:28.097 --> 00:25:31.590
And<00:25:28.914> like,<00:25:29.876> you<00:25:29.972> know,<00:25:30.116> I<00:25:30.132> was<00:25:30.741> straight<00:25:31.062> outta<00:25:31.222> high<00:25:31.318> school.

00:25:32.904 --> 00:25:34.010
I<00:25:33.000> was<00:25:33.241> decent<00:25:33.545> at<00:25:33.577> marketing.

00:25:34.507 --> 00:25:42.922
I<00:25:34.523> didn't<00:25:34.683> know<00:25:34.827> anything<00:25:35.067> about<00:25:36.141> software<00:25:36.590> companies,<00:25:37.727> but<00:25:37.952> then<00:25:38.400> like<00:25:38.833> I<00:25:38.849> started<00:25:39.314> out,<00:25:39.490> like<00:25:39.875> it<00:25:39.907> was<00:25:40.115> a,<00:25:40.596> kind<00:25:40.756> of<00:25:40.917> contract,<00:25:41.655> like<00:25:42.216> part-time<00:25:42.778> role.

00:25:43.644 --> 00:25:51.682
And,<00:25:44.045> you<00:25:44.542> know,<00:25:44.928> eventually<00:25:45.345> got<00:25:45.521> to,<00:25:45.970> you<00:25:46.051> know,<00:25:46.387> own<00:25:46.869> the<00:25:47.029> product<00:25:47.350> direction,<00:25:47.831> the<00:25:47.976> growth,<00:25:49.500> you<00:25:49.596> know,<00:25:50.158> like<00:25:50.543> operation<00:25:51.136> of<00:25:51.265> the<00:25:51.345> company.

00:25:51.762 --> 00:25:57.233
And<00:25:51.842> like,<00:25:52.628> obviously<00:25:54.072> I<00:25:54.088> worked<00:25:54.313> really<00:25:54.489> hard<00:25:54.714> for<00:25:54.794> that,<00:25:54.891> but<00:25:54.971> at<00:25:55.051> the<00:25:55.131> same<00:25:55.372> time<00:25:55.853> I<00:25:55.917> was<00:25:56.078> young,<00:25:56.431> I<00:25:56.479> was<00:25:56.639> given<00:25:56.816> a<00:25:56.880> chance.

00:25:57.329 --> 00:26:02.287
So<00:25:58.179> Tyler,<00:25:58.500> if<00:25:58.581> you're<00:25:58.725> hearing<00:25:58.982> this,<00:25:59.286> like,<00:25:59.848> he<00:25:59.944> knows,<00:26:00.249> like,<00:26:00.586> he's<00:26:01.292> like<00:26:01.388> a<00:26:01.452> big<00:26:01.613> brother<00:26:01.805> to<00:26:01.950> me,<00:26:02.190> right?

00:26:02.351 --> 00:26:09.791
So<00:26:02.912> like<00:26:03.634> that,<00:26:04.019> learned<00:26:04.196> a<00:26:04.340> lot<00:26:04.517> from<00:26:04.661> that<00:26:04.773> experience<00:26:05.223> and<00:26:05.335> I<00:26:05.383> think<00:26:05.704> I<00:26:05.800> credit<00:26:06.602> credit<00:26:07.003> to,<00:26:08.284> credit<00:26:08.525> that<00:26:08.701> experience<00:26:09.086> to<00:26:09.182> where<00:26:09.310> I<00:26:09.406> am<00:26:09.566> today.

00:26:10.287 --> 00:26:13.572
So<00:26:10.992> that's<00:26:11.714> the<00:26:11.794> chance<00:26:13.156> that<00:26:13.252> I<00:26:13.332> got.

00:26:13.749 --> 00:26:14.630
Incredible,<00:26:14.534> man.

00:26:14.694 --> 00:26:16.360
What<00:26:15.239> are<00:26:15.319> you<00:26:15.431> majoring<00:26:15.896> in,<00:26:15.976> by<00:26:16.120> the<00:26:16.200> way?

00:26:16.921 --> 00:26:17.146
Math.

00:26:17.739 --> 00:26:19.533
Yeah,<00:26:17.883> of<00:26:17.979> course,<00:26:18.940> of<00:26:19.020> course,<00:26:19.421> man.

00:26:19.661 --> 00:26:21.985
I<00:26:19.822> mean,<00:26:20.687> it<00:26:20.799> checks<00:26:21.168> out<00:26:21.568> like<00:26:21.809> this.

00:26:22.690 --> 00:26:29.708
It's<00:26:22.930> also<00:26:23.892> the,<00:26:24.308> in<00:26:24.388> my<00:26:24.613> opinion,<00:26:24.789> I<00:26:24.805> mean,<00:26:25.270> that<00:26:25.430> people<00:26:25.606> are<00:26:25.670> going<00:26:25.783> to,<00:26:25.975> oh,<00:26:26.135> like<00:26:26.552> this<00:26:26.712> guy's<00:26:26.936> not,<00:26:27.193> it's<00:26:27.353> the<00:26:27.577> easiest<00:26:27.914> major<00:26:28.170> because<00:26:28.475> you<00:26:28.635> don't<00:26:28.859> have<00:26:29.051> to<00:26:29.180> go<00:26:29.276> to<00:26:29.356> class.

00:26:30.317 --> 00:26:38.955
Like<00:26:30.478> there's<00:26:30.734> no<00:26:30.958> attendance<00:26:31.375> requirement<00:26:32.064> that<00:26:32.336> there's<00:26:32.497> not<00:26:32.785> like<00:26:33.283> any<00:26:33.752> portion<00:26:34.011> of<00:26:34.091> that<00:26:34.237> in<00:26:34.334> the<00:26:34.414> grade,<00:26:34.883> and<00:26:35.933> they're<00:26:36.095> relatively<00:26:36.757> like,<00:26:37.630> they<00:26:37.727> don't<00:26:37.953> honestly,<00:26:38.276> they<00:26:38.309> don't<00:26:38.616> care.

00:26:39.165 --> 00:26:43.416
Like,<00:26:39.908> just<00:26:40.151> show,<00:26:40.474> like,<00:26:40.878> if<00:26:41.023> you<00:26:41.120> could<00:26:41.265> pass<00:26:41.524> the<00:26:41.669> test,<00:26:42.883> you're<00:26:43.028> fine.

00:26:43.529 --> 00:26:44.434
All<00:26:43.771> right.

00:26:44.482 --> 00:26:48.021
It's<00:26:44.822> like,<00:26:45.048> I'm,<00:26:45.129> you<00:26:45.209> know,<00:26:45.856> as<00:26:45.953> long<00:26:46.130> as<00:26:46.260> I<00:26:46.276> get<00:26:46.421> a<00:26:46.518> B,<00:26:46.696> I'm,<00:26:46.987> I'll<00:26:47.730> be<00:26:47.795> fine.

00:26:48.199 --> 00:26:51.899
Like,<00:26:48.441> that's,<00:26:50.703> well,<00:26:50.881> best<00:26:51.010> of<00:26:51.123> luck<00:26:51.285> with<00:26:51.446> everything.

00:26:52.650 --> 00:26:53.778
Uh,<00:26:52.682> congrats<00:26:52.843> on<00:26:52.907> everything<00:26:53.246> you've<00:26:53.391> built,<00:26:53.568> man.

00:26:54.277 --> 00:26:54.825

Of<00:26:55.727> course.

00:26:55.905 --> 00:26:56.614
Thanks<00:26:56.082> for<00:26:56.195> having<00:26:56.469> me.

00:26:57.129 --> 00:26:57.274
Okay.

00:26:57.500 --> 00:26:57.935
Thanks,<00:26:57.742> brother.

```
