Greenlight Co-Founder & CEO John Mueller
John Mueller is the Co-Founder and CEO of Greenlight, a vertically-integrated, multi-state operator with three in-house brands, over 200,000 square feet of cultivation and manufacturing, and more than 750 employees. John Mueller has extensive experience in all areas of cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, dispensing, and retail. Prior to founding Greenlight in 2019, John served as Co-Founder and CEO of Acres Cannabis, successfully building and selling operations to Curaleaf, which included a 19,000 sqft experiential dispensary and over 300,000 sqft of cultivation.
John is an expert in navigating the complexities of limited license markets and running a debt-free, profitable organization. Under John’s leadership, Greenlight launched “The Underground,” the world’s first-ever marijuana farmers market where vendors and consumers can directly interact, and currently has three locations in Missouri. John Mueller actively participates in charitable organizations including Breast Cancer Prevention, Big Brothers & Sisters, and veterans support programs. He serves on the board of St. Louis University Cannabis Studies and two cannabis associations. Under John's leadership, Greenlight has funded evaluations for 40,000 patients in Missouri.
A serial entrepreneur since post-college, John has two decades of experience working with regulatory agencies like USDA and FDA, having owned and operated every business he’s been employed by across the cannabis, food, technology, manufacturing, and construction industries. Currently a partner at Mid America Capital, John also leads Resonant Machines, an international road construction company.
