Stella & Chewy's Founder & CEO Marie Moody

Marie Moody, Founder and CEO for leading raw pet food company Stella & Chewy’s, is a pet parent at heart. In 1997, she adopted a dog named Stella from a local animal shelter. After deciding Stella needed a friend, she adopted a sick pup named Chewy who quickly became family. Upon seeing Chewy recover and both pups thrive following the start of a raw food diet, Moody became inspired to make raw pet food more widely available to other pet parents and started her own business – Stella & Chewy’s – in 2003. She became an “accidental pet entrepreneur” delivering orders herself in the early years via taxi.

Over 20 years later, Moody is CEO of Stella & Chewy’s, now a full line manufacturer of premium pet food. Through a wide range of products including frozen raw, freeze dried raw, kibble, wet food and treats, Moody has created the fastest growing pet brand in neighborhood pet stores with products available to pet parents worldwide.
