Cirba Solutions CEO David Klanecky

David Klanecky, as the CEO of Cirba Solutions, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure in the lithium industry and his significant contributions at both Albemarle Corporation and The Dow Chemical Company. His leadership journey includes serving as Executive Vice President and COO of Piedmont Lithium, as well as holding pivotal roles within Albemarle Corporation from 2013 to 2021, such as VP Strategy and Corporate Development and Vice President – Lithium Operations – APAC/EU. Here, Klanecky was instrumental in overseeing global manufacturing, operations, process technology, and product management.

He notably acted as interim CEO for the MARBL joint venture, incorporating the Kemerton and Wodgina assets in Australia. Prior to this, Klanecky's extensive career at Dow encompassed global assignments and culminated in the launch of the Dow Energy Materials Business, emphasizing Lithium-Ion Battery Materials for cell manufacturers and Auto OEMs. His professional foundation is supported by a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Nebraska and an Executive MBA from Arizona State/Thunderbird School of Global Management. Beyond his professional realm, Klanecky is devoted to spending quality time with his two daughters, engaging in sports, coaching youth sports, volunteering with Boy Scouts, and participating in outdoor activities like snow skiing, highlighting his commitment to both his family and community.
