About CEO.com
CEO.com is a journal of leadership. We cover the leaders shaping our world.
CEO.com is a journal of leadership. We cover the leaders shaping our world.
A few thousand people make decisions that reach into billions of lives. Most of what's written about them is either an advertisement or an attack.
We cover leaders accurately. We also give them a fair platform to explain themselves plainly, without manipulative editing or sensationalism.
Why we exist
Trust in business media has eroded, for good reason. Too much coverage falls into one of three traps.
- Stories built to generate clicks or controversy rather than to inform.
- Algorithmic thought leadership that carries none of the actual voice of the leader it claims to represent.
- Access journalism that protects the relationship at the public's expense.
We believe there is a better way.
Our approach
It isn't our job to tell you what to think. It's to give an honest account of how leaders operate in the real world: the decisions, the trade-offs, the failures, the genuine wins, and the costs behind them all.
- We ask real questions and leave room for real answers. An interview is not an interrogation, and it is not a favor. We ask what matters and we let people finish.
- If you're criticized on our platform, we'll publish your response unedited. Any leader critiqued on our platform is invited to reply, at length, with the same care we give everyone else. This is not a courtesy we extend selectively.
- We show our work. We make our stance clear, we source what we can, and we correct our errors promptly, completely, and in public.
- Nobody buys our coverage. No advertiser, sponsor, investor, business partner, or member influences what we publish.
More than a publication
We believe leadership is learned and practiced in community, not in isolation.
CEO.com extends beyond our journalism into membership: a community of leaders, live events and dinners in rotating cities, and Boards of eight to twelve peers who meet monthly.
We gather leaders who show up, give more than they take, and learn what no piece of content can ever teach.
Our promise
Accurate, unvarnished coverage. A published correction every time we get it wrong, and a published response every time someone is criticized on our platform. If we ever fail at either, please tell us at hello@ceo.com, and we'll fix it in the open.
