Rachel Springate is an investor and leading business development expert who specializes in creating and executing opportunities between the startup, venture, and entertainment spaces. Rachel is the co-founder of Muse Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in overlooked and untapped consumer technology opportunities across the future of how we Care, Play, and Live. For the past eight years, Muse Capital has backed category-defining companies in sectors where innovation and investment have historically lagged, with a strong focus on women’s health. Their portfolio includes MIDI Health, the leading virtual clinic for women over 40; CoFertility, a fertility platform reinventing egg freezing and donation; Mahmee, a maternal healthcare platform improving outcomes for mothers and babies; Eli Health, a real-time hormone tracking technology precision health; and Conceivable Life Sciences, leveraging AI and robotics to enhance IVF lab efficiency, precision, and access.
Other notable investments include Beekeeper’s Naturals (fast growing wellness brand), and Futureverse (developing infrastructure for next-gen metaverse applications). The team has also gained exclusive access for their strategic LPs into prestigious later stage deals, including Gohenry, Future Family & Robinhood. A Kauffman Fellow and a staunch advocate for diversity, Rachel is proud to have a portfolio of companies where over 75% are female or minority lead.
Originally from the UK, Rachel launched her corporate sales and business affairs career in brand research, which gave her early access to decision-makers at Fortune 500 brands. In 2007 the leading luxury lifestyle group Quintessentially headhunted Rachel, and she became the Global Head of Corporate Sales. Rachel built relationships with some of the world’s leading CEOs, celebrities, entrepreneurs and brand directors. Her clients included Amex, Gucci Group, LVMH, Google, Armani, HSBC, British Airways, Jaguar, Ferrari and Chelsea Football Club.
After meeting and being inspired by renowned artist manager and angel investor Troy Carter in 2012, Rachel moved from London to New York City. There she shifted to the technology space, consulting young technology companies with their business development strategy and execution. She now combines her global network with expert business development knowledge to build companies for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
