Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of CEO.com, including all content, features, newsletters, podcasts, livestreams, events, community programs, and services offered by CEO.com ("CEO.com," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using this site, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site.

1. About CEO.com

CEO.com is a journal of leadership published by CEO.com LLC. Our mailing address is 42 West Center St., Provo, Utah 84664.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this site. If you are under 18, you may use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

Some features of CEO.com require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@ceo.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions

Subscription pricing, features, and availability are subject to change. We will notify active subscribers of any material changes to their tier in advance.

Billing and Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at contact@ceo.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

Refunds

All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.

5. Events, Livestreams, and Community Programs

CEO.com hosts events, livestreams, dinners, and mentorship programs. Participation in any CEO.com community program is subject to these terms and any additional terms presented at registration.

Participation in the CEO.com community confers no editorial benefit. Attending our events, joining our programs, or otherwise supporting our work does not entitle you to favorable coverage, advance notice of stories, or any influence over editorial decisions, as described in our Editorial Charter.

Events and livestreams may be recorded, photographed, and published. By attending or appearing at a CEO.com event or livestream, you consent to the recording and publication of your appearance, likeness, and remarks in connection with our content and promotion, unless we agree otherwise in writing before the event.

We reserve the right to refuse or revoke event registration and program participation at our discretion.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

All content published on CEO.com is the property of CEO.com, LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright law.

You may share links to our content. You may not reproduce, republish, copy, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission, except as permitted under fair use or other applicable law.

7. No Professional Advice

CEO.com publishes journalism about business, markets, politics, technology, and the people who lead them. Nothing on this site constitutes investment, financial, legal, tax, or professional advice, and no content should be relied upon as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset, or to make any business, legal, or financial decision. We do not endorse companies, products, funds, or investments. You are responsible for your own decisions, and you should consult qualified professionals before acting on anything you read here.

8. User Conduct

When using CEO.com, including comment sections or any interactive features, you agree not to:

Post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or unlawful. Impersonate any person or entity. Interfere with or disrupt the site or its servers. Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest content. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site. Use the site to manipulate or attempt to manipulate any market or security. Use the site for any commercial purpose without our written consent.

We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content and to terminate accounts that violate these terms at our discretion and without notice.

9. Comments, Letters, and User Submissions

Certain subscription tiers include the ability to comment on articles. CEO.com also accepts personal essays for publication in our Letters section, submitted to letters@ceo.com. By submitting a comment, a Letter, or any other content to CEO.com, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, edit for length and clarity, and distribute that content in connection with the operation of the site. You retain ownership of your submissions.

Submitting a Letter does not guarantee publication. Letters are selected at our editorial discretion and published in the author's own voice. The views expressed in Letters are the author's, not ours.

You are solely responsible for any content you submit. You represent that your submissions are your own original work, that they are factually accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that they do not infringe on the rights of others. Do not submit content that you do not have the right to share.

CEO.com may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those sites. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

CEO.com is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content published on the site.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CEO.com, LLC and its officers, employees, contributors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the site, including any trading, investment, or business losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the site shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CEO.com, LLC and its officers, employees, contributors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Privacy

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at CEO.com/privacy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice to registered users by email or through a notice on the site. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
