The numbers that built Lumary

When the Australian government overhauled disability funding in 2014, the nonprofits delivering that care were spending 40 to 50 percent of their budgets on overhead. The new scheme assumed 12. Most of them had no idea how to close that gap, and many were still running on paper.

Joe Mercorella was consulting for one of them at the time. He had been introduced to Salesforce a few years earlier and had spent time helping a government-linked disability organization replace its legacy systems, which gave him a view of the reform that most outsiders didn't have. He wanted to build a software company. He hadn't picked a vertical. This one picked him.

"I could see the gap in the market, the need was there, and it didn't look like there was a pathway for resolution," he told the CEO.com Podcast. "If there aren't people thinking like me, well, who's going to make the change?"

Lumary launched in 2017 out of Adelaide, a city of about a million people in a state of just under two million. It sells practice management software to disability, aged care, and autism services providers, and it now supports more than 80,000 healthcare workers, 200 providers, and 500,000 care recipients across Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In March 2021, it raised $17 million in a round led by OneVentures with Salesforce Ventures and the South Australian Venture Capital Fund, having crossed $10 million in annual recurring revenue on about $2 million of outside capital before that.

None of that came quickly. The Australian disability sector was built by charities, many of them founded by religious orders and funded by donations, and it was conservative in a way Mercorella says Americans would find hard to picture. He spent two years pitching cloud software to providers who wanted servers in a closet. "Many of the providers I went to engage with as prospective clients thought I was a bit crazy," he said. "I was talking about this thing called the cloud, and everyone wanted something on-premise." The first few who signed became the reference customers who brought in everyone else.

The harder problem was that nobody in Adelaide had done this before. There was no playbook and no group of founders to ask, and his own partners pushed back. He built his network in Sydney instead and commuted to it. He considered moving there permanently and admits it would have made his life easier. He didn't, because his family was in Adelaide, and he and his co-founder decided that if talent didn't exist locally they would grow it. Of the company's Australian staff, he said about 80 are from the founding city.

"It's always nice to give back to the community, so we're trying to reinvest back," he said. "I don't think it's sustainable for everybody just to move to the same location anyway."

That stubbornness shows up again in how Lumary went to America. The advice Mercorella got before expanding was that most Australian companies fail in the U.S., that it takes years, and that it could take the whole business down. The regulatory map looked especially bad from Adelaide: 50 states and hundreds of counties, each with its own rules. His team spent a year analyzing and found that much of the complexity had already been flattened by the organizations that would be buying the software. They built the U.S. product in nine months, took another four or five to stabilize it, and spent roughly a year after that hardening it. He says he'd do some of it differently. He didn't say what.

What he did say was that the regulation was never the real risk. "The hardest thing is always finding the people that you can trust," he said. "For anybody broaching into new geographies, that's going to be the hardest thing that you try and tackle."

One of the people he found was Ryan Westwood, the Utah entrepreneur who co-founded Simplus and now runs Fullcast. Lumary named Westwood chairman in January 2024, and he was sitting in the studio during the interview. Mercorella had spent that morning with him talking about how to give young founders in Adelaide the kind of support he never had.

The American business is now focused on applied behavior analysis providers, the clinics that deliver autism therapy. In August 2026 Lumary and its clinical data partner Hi Rasmus announced that Community Autism Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, had gone live on their platforms across nine states, covering more than 7,300 clients and 3,100 employees. For a company that spent its first two years explaining what the cloud was, that is a long way from home.

On AI, Mercorella is impatient with the marketing. "A lot of it is rubbish," he said. His view is that a care provider's operating system has to work before anything can be layered on top of it, and that many companies are bolting AI onto products whose foundations were never right. Lumary captures most of a provider's operations, which means it has the data to do something real, and he says the gains so far have been in engineering and QA. He'd also like to see better ethical regulation of companies that rename themselves AI businesses after buying a ChatGPT subscription.

His day starts at five with calls to the U.S., then Australian management meetings, then the U.K. in the evening. Sundays are church and family. Saturdays belong to his kids, who recently decided to learn golf, so he learned too. He reads the Bible, economics, and psychology, and avoids technology books because he gets enough of that during the week. "If you're raising any sort of company, you better start learning about people," he said.

Every CEO.com Podcast episode ends with the same question: who gave you a chance? Mercorella answered with his grandparents, who left Italy for a country they didn't know, and his parents, who let him be more restless than they were. "They set the right foundations and principles in me, which enabled it," he said. "I think that was the major thing."

00:00:09.553 --> 00:00:10.165
Let's<00:00:09.795> do<00:00:09.956> this.

00:00:10.343 --> 00:00:12.050
Yeah,<00:00:11.229> we're<00:00:11.406> rolling,<00:00:11.728> man.

00:00:12.211 --> 00:00:13.258
So<00:00:12.437> wait,<00:00:12.678> wait,<00:00:13.000> wait.

00:00:13.838 --> 00:00:15.240
As<00:00:13.919> soon<00:00:14.144> as<00:00:14.225> I<00:00:14.370> walk<00:00:14.611> in,<00:00:14.853> we're<00:00:15.014> rolling.

00:00:15.417 --> 00:00:15.900
All<00:00:15.658> right.

00:00:16.077 --> 00:00:18.348
No,<00:00:16.560> hey,<00:00:16.786> that's<00:00:17.946> not<00:00:18.091> the<00:00:18.220> rule.

00:00:18.574 --> 00:00:19.089
No,<00:00:18.977> no.

00:00:19.943 --> 00:00:20.410
How<00:00:20.169> are<00:00:20.330> you?

00:00:20.507 --> 00:00:22.279
Tell<00:00:20.813> us<00:00:21.216> about<00:00:21.699> yourself.

00:00:22.440 --> 00:00:26.194
Yeah,<00:00:23.069> I've<00:00:23.955> done<00:00:24.116> some<00:00:24.277> research<00:00:24.615> on<00:00:24.680> your<00:00:24.776> company<00:00:25.179> and<00:00:25.260> I<00:00:25.276> was<00:00:25.421> looking<00:00:25.646> at<00:00:25.727> it<00:00:25.759> this<00:00:25.968> morning.

00:00:26.242 --> 00:00:26.838
It's<00:00:26.452> really<00:00:26.710> cool.

00:00:27.330 --> 00:00:27.474
Yeah.

00:00:27.906 --> 00:00:29.685
And<00:00:28.083> you're<00:00:28.243> actually<00:00:28.499> doing<00:00:28.804> important<00:00:29.268> work.

00:00:30.149 --> 00:00:31.079
Mm.

00:00:31.768 --> 00:00:35.693
You<00:00:31.848> know,<00:00:32.088> a<00:00:32.104> lot<00:00:32.264> of—<00:00:32.392> I<00:00:32.408> guess<00:00:32.569> a<00:00:32.601> lot<00:00:32.825> of<00:00:32.889> companies<00:00:33.370> do<00:00:33.530> important<00:00:33.930> work,<00:00:34.235> but<00:00:34.555> yours<00:00:34.667> seems<00:00:35.036> more<00:00:35.228> important.

00:00:36.238 --> 00:00:36.798
Let's<00:00:36.414> say<00:00:36.574> that.

00:00:37.199 --> 00:00:39.073
Well,<00:00:38.320> I<00:00:38.336> think<00:00:38.577> I<00:00:38.657> agree<00:00:38.897> with<00:00:39.041> you.

00:00:39.122 --> 00:00:45.674
A<00:00:39.138> lot<00:00:39.282> of<00:00:39.314> companies<00:00:39.714> do<00:00:39.859> a<00:00:39.875> lot<00:00:40.035> of<00:00:40.083> important<00:00:40.419> work,<00:00:40.740> but<00:00:41.781> I<00:00:41.861> think<00:00:42.182> it's—<00:00:42.486> as<00:00:42.582> an<00:00:42.662> entrepreneur,<00:00:43.287> it's<00:00:43.447> always<00:00:43.720> nice<00:00:43.960> to<00:00:44.425> be<00:00:44.585> connected<00:00:45.050> with<00:00:45.210> your<00:00:45.306> passion.

00:00:46.027 --> 00:00:53.701
You<00:00:46.107> know,<00:00:47.164> if<00:00:47.293> you<00:00:47.373> can<00:00:47.549> combine<00:00:47.950> the<00:00:48.030> two<00:00:48.190> together<00:00:48.655> with<00:00:48.751> the<00:00:48.831> entrepreneurial<00:00:49.472> spirit<00:00:49.792> and<00:00:49.936> what<00:00:50.096> actually<00:00:50.353> is<00:00:50.497> meaningful<00:00:51.394> to<00:00:51.538> you<00:00:51.635> at<00:00:51.859> heart,<00:00:52.372> I<00:00:52.436> think<00:00:52.660> you<00:00:53.333> nailed<00:00:53.653> it.

00:00:53.798 --> 00:01:07.450
And<00:00:54.182> lucky—<00:00:54.438> fortunately<00:00:55.255> for<00:00:55.432> me,<00:00:56.025> I<00:00:56.105> was<00:00:56.762> lucky<00:00:57.002> to<00:00:57.147> get<00:00:58.511> introduced<00:00:59.329> in<00:00:59.377> about<00:00:59.570> 2010<00:01:00.597> to<00:01:01.416> Salesforce,<00:01:02.218> which<00:01:02.443> obviously<00:01:03.406> I<00:01:03.807> love<00:01:03.919> as<00:01:04.064> a<00:01:04.144> technology,<00:01:05.091> and<00:01:05.749> the<00:01:05.829> disability<00:01:06.230> and<00:01:06.310> aged<00:01:06.471> care<00:01:06.583> sector<00:01:06.968> in<00:01:07.017> Australia.

00:01:07.675 --> 00:01:13.179
And<00:01:07.835> those<00:01:08.156> two<00:01:08.332> sort<00:01:08.637> of<00:01:08.718> spiralled<00:01:09.279> myself<00:01:09.697> onto<00:01:09.937> a<00:01:10.002> journey<00:01:11.269> which<00:01:11.430> has<00:01:11.831> landed<00:01:12.152> me<00:01:12.329> at<00:01:12.730> Lumery.

00:01:13.837 --> 00:01:16.116
And<00:01:14.014> you<00:01:14.415> can't<00:01:14.752> fabricate<00:01:15.362> these<00:01:15.538> things<00:01:15.779> in<00:01:15.923> life.

00:01:16.180 --> 00:01:23.017
They<00:01:16.260> sort<00:01:16.517> of,<00:01:16.806> you<00:01:16.902> know,<00:01:17.047> you<00:01:17.127> have<00:01:17.287> some<00:01:17.705> directional<00:01:18.266> things<00:01:18.491> that<00:01:18.652> you<00:01:18.732> want<00:01:18.812> to<00:01:18.844> go<00:01:19.053> and<00:01:19.149> do,<00:01:19.390> but<00:01:19.775> ultimately,<00:01:20.497> you<00:01:20.529> know,<00:01:21.219> you<00:01:21.637> got<00:01:21.749> to<00:01:22.102> have<00:01:22.214> a<00:01:22.262> bit<00:01:22.375> of<00:01:22.423> luck<00:01:22.664> along<00:01:22.824> the<00:01:22.920> way.

00:01:23.145 --> 00:01:31.228
And<00:01:23.241> so<00:01:23.562> yeah,<00:01:23.723> for<00:01:23.915> me,<00:01:24.124> this<00:01:24.381> is<00:01:24.830> an<00:01:24.927> incredible<00:01:25.328> thing<00:01:26.050> and<00:01:26.275> our<00:01:26.756> Our<00:01:26.852> vision<00:01:27.189> is<00:01:27.333> really<00:01:27.509> to<00:01:27.637> have<00:01:27.894> enabled<00:01:28.872> sustainable<00:01:29.481> healthcare<00:01:30.860> globally.

00:01:31.565 --> 00:01:34.563
We've<00:01:31.725> got<00:01:31.837> a<00:01:31.902> strategy<00:01:32.767> which<00:01:33.424> we<00:01:33.569> believe<00:01:33.969> will<00:01:34.066> achieve<00:01:34.450> that.

00:01:34.627 --> 00:01:36.759
So<00:01:35.268> yeah,<00:01:35.813> it's<00:01:35.989> called<00:01:36.294> Lumery.

00:01:37.175 --> 00:01:37.801
Yeah,<00:01:37.352> Lumery.

00:01:38.073 --> 00:01:38.394
Lumery.

00:01:38.458 --> 00:01:38.714
You<00:01:38.538> did.

00:01:38.875 --> 00:01:39.804
Yes,<00:01:39.500> you<00:01:39.596> got<00:01:39.756> it.

00:01:40.654 --> 00:01:43.123
Some<00:01:40.943> people<00:01:41.616> say<00:01:42.241> variations<00:01:42.978> of<00:01:43.058> it.

00:01:43.187 --> 00:01:43.812
Luminary.

00:01:44.068 --> 00:01:46.216
If<00:01:44.229> it<00:01:44.325> was<00:01:44.565> Lumery,<00:01:45.271> I<00:01:45.367> would<00:01:45.463> have<00:01:45.543> said<00:01:45.832> Lumery.

00:01:46.713 --> 00:01:47.868
I<00:01:46.890> always<00:01:47.387> screw<00:01:47.755> up.

00:01:48.733 --> 00:01:50.977
Like,<00:01:48.974> no<00:01:49.070> matter<00:01:49.438> which<00:01:49.615> one<00:01:49.775> it<00:01:49.855> was,<00:01:50.240> I<00:01:50.336> would<00:01:50.432> have<00:01:50.577> screwed<00:01:50.817> it<00:01:50.897> up.

00:01:51.234 --> 00:01:52.789
So<00:01:52.099> no<00:01:52.196> matter<00:01:52.500> which<00:01:52.725> one.

00:01:53.125 --> 00:01:53.318
Yeah.

00:01:53.606 --> 00:01:59.329
So<00:01:53.863> tell<00:01:54.039> me<00:01:54.167> about<00:01:54.408> this<00:01:54.985> disability<00:01:55.642> organization<00:01:56.187> that<00:01:56.331> you<00:01:56.412> went<00:01:56.508> to,<00:01:56.604> because<00:01:56.812> I<00:01:56.909> understand<00:01:57.293> the<00:01:57.325> Salesforce<00:01:57.870> piece,<00:01:58.191> but<00:01:58.576> What<00:01:58.736> was<00:01:58.912> that<00:01:59.089> about?

00:01:59.393 --> 00:02:00.660
Like,<00:01:59.618> what<00:01:59.778> about<00:02:00.034> that<00:02:00.275> changed<00:02:00.595> you?

00:02:00.740 --> 00:02:01.429
What<00:02:00.836> changed<00:02:01.221> that?

00:02:01.541 --> 00:02:02.086
We<00:02:01.621> started<00:02:02.022> it.

00:02:02.663 --> 00:02:05.405
Oh,<00:02:03.064> your<00:02:03.160> typical<00:02:03.657> sort<00:02:03.882> of<00:02:04.363> working<00:02:04.667> for<00:02:04.843> a<00:02:04.924> government.

00:02:05.966 --> 00:02:08.418
They<00:02:06.030> had<00:02:06.142> a<00:02:06.206> lot<00:02:06.350> of<00:02:06.767> legacy<00:02:07.809> technology.

00:02:08.835 --> 00:02:11.785
They<00:02:08.867> needed<00:02:09.236> to<00:02:09.957> uplift<00:02:10.438> it<00:02:10.935> for<00:02:11.159> the<00:02:11.256> sector.

00:02:12.458 --> 00:02:17.587
And<00:02:12.634> I<00:02:12.698> was<00:02:12.859> fortunate<00:02:13.179> enough<00:02:13.500> to<00:02:13.740> spend<00:02:13.997> some<00:02:14.221> time<00:02:14.526> in<00:02:14.702> giving<00:02:14.942> some<00:02:15.103> direction<00:02:15.584> around<00:02:16.529> how<00:02:16.690> to<00:02:16.866> go<00:02:17.010> and<00:02:17.107> do<00:02:17.331> that.

00:02:18.774 --> 00:02:26.212
And<00:02:19.110> then<00:02:19.335> from<00:02:19.575> there,<00:02:19.976> what<00:02:20.136> happened<00:02:20.457> was<00:02:20.777> the<00:02:20.842> Australian<00:02:21.210> government<00:02:22.637> introduced<00:02:23.054> a<00:02:23.086> major<00:02:23.374> reform<00:02:23.839> to<00:02:23.983> disability<00:02:24.480> sector<00:02:25.186> in<00:02:25.506> 2014.

00:02:26.548 --> 00:02:30.622
And<00:02:26.805> obviously<00:02:27.206> being<00:02:27.446> in<00:02:27.510> the<00:02:27.542> sector,<00:02:28.087> I<00:02:28.103> had<00:02:28.247> access<00:02:28.568> to<00:02:29.129> a<00:02:29.193> lot<00:02:29.289> more<00:02:29.450> intel<00:02:29.786> than<00:02:29.931> others<00:02:30.171> might<00:02:30.380> not<00:02:30.476> have.

00:02:31.687 --> 00:02:36.191
I<00:02:31.703> was<00:02:32.188> really<00:02:32.511> keen<00:02:32.898> on<00:02:32.995> making<00:02:33.334> a<00:02:33.398> product<00:02:33.721> tech<00:02:33.964> business,<00:02:34.448> just<00:02:34.609> didn't<00:02:34.771> know<00:02:34.997> what<00:02:35.174> vertical<00:02:35.594> to<00:02:35.675> go<00:02:35.901> into.

00:02:36.692 --> 00:02:51.152
Looked<00:02:36.869> at<00:02:37.031> several<00:02:37.354> before<00:02:38.145> this<00:02:38.322> one,<00:02:40.100> but<00:02:40.924> in<00:02:41.102> that<00:02:41.507> reform,<00:02:42.315> really<00:02:42.622> what<00:02:42.736> it<00:02:42.865> did<00:02:43.124> was<00:02:43.350> mandate<00:02:44.887> the<00:02:44.984> use<00:02:45.210> of<00:02:45.307> technology<00:02:46.439> and<00:02:46.763> establishment<00:02:47.248> of<00:02:47.329> digital<00:02:47.717> business<00:02:49.027> more<00:02:49.172> profoundly<00:02:49.577> than<00:02:49.674> whatever<00:02:49.983> had<00:02:50.145> been<00:02:50.389> done<00:02:50.568> in<00:02:50.714> the<00:02:50.795> past.

00:02:51.298 --> 00:02:58.602
And<00:02:51.363> so<00:02:52.045> I<00:02:52.110> could<00:02:52.257> see<00:02:52.516> that,<00:02:52.760> could<00:02:52.841> see<00:02:52.987> the<00:02:53.085> gap<00:02:53.328> in<00:02:53.361> market,<00:02:54.368> the<00:02:54.449> need<00:02:54.709> was<00:02:54.871> there,<00:02:55.261> and<00:02:55.521> it<00:02:55.602> didn't<00:02:55.846> look<00:02:56.008> like<00:02:56.170> there<00:02:56.398> was<00:02:56.576> a<00:02:56.885> pathway<00:02:57.372> for<00:02:57.992> resolution.

00:02:58.650 --> 00:03:01.219
And<00:02:58.795> so<00:02:58.939> I<00:02:58.972> thought,<00:02:59.277> I<00:02:59.293> think<00:02:59.742> this<00:02:59.855> is<00:02:59.903> something<00:03:00.224> I<00:03:00.304> could<00:03:00.384> make<00:03:00.577> a<00:03:00.706> difference<00:03:01.123> in.

00:03:01.589 --> 00:03:11.013
And<00:03:02.632> so<00:03:02.809> yeah,<00:03:02.905> there<00:03:03.034> was<00:03:03.274> the<00:03:03.371> driver<00:03:03.772> to<00:03:03.836> make<00:03:04.029> a<00:03:04.093> difference<00:03:04.800> and<00:03:04.896> also<00:03:05.137> the<00:03:05.217> concern<00:03:05.683> for<00:03:05.843> the<00:03:05.940> community<00:03:06.485> because<00:03:07.128> if<00:03:07.465> there<00:03:07.609> aren't<00:03:07.947> people<00:03:08.252> thinking<00:03:08.653> like<00:03:08.830> me,<00:03:09.295> well,<00:03:09.857> who's<00:03:10.098> going<00:03:10.339> to<00:03:10.419> make<00:03:10.676> the<00:03:10.756> change?

00:03:11.077 --> 00:03:11.655
Who's<00:03:11.238> going<00:03:11.382> to<00:03:11.431> do<00:03:11.559> it?

00:03:11.703 --> 00:03:12.346
Who's<00:03:11.816> going<00:03:11.912> to<00:03:12.041> do<00:03:12.201> it?

00:03:12.426 --> 00:03:12.506
Yeah.

00:03:12.763 --> 00:03:13.823
So<00:03:12.843> there<00:03:12.988> was<00:03:13.084> one<00:03:13.245> concern<00:03:13.710> there.

00:03:13.951 --> 00:03:16.841
And<00:03:14.272> Australia<00:03:14.786> is<00:03:15.316> much<00:03:15.557> more<00:03:15.733> conservative<00:03:16.360> than<00:03:16.520> the<00:03:16.600> US.

00:03:17.419 --> 00:03:18.816
So<00:03:18.126> in<00:03:18.302> all<00:03:18.463> aspects.

00:03:18.880 --> 00:03:23.729
And<00:03:19.009> so,<00:03:19.330> you<00:03:19.362> know,<00:03:20.807> so<00:03:21.337> I<00:03:21.369> was<00:03:21.497> lucky<00:03:21.834> and<00:03:21.995> we're<00:03:22.172> in<00:03:22.300> a<00:03:22.316> sector<00:03:22.717> which<00:03:22.878> is<00:03:22.974> mostly<00:03:23.279> charities.

00:03:23.857 --> 00:03:31.110
So<00:03:24.162> the<00:03:24.259> disability<00:03:24.805> market<00:03:25.142> in<00:03:25.286> Australia<00:03:25.784> is<00:03:26.780> mostly<00:03:27.280> non-for-profit<00:03:27.820> organizations<00:03:28.760> that<00:03:29.060> are<00:03:29.160> looking<00:03:29.340> just<00:03:29.560> to<00:03:29.700> make<00:03:29.840> a<00:03:30.020> really<00:03:30.220> good<00:03:30.360> community<00:03:30.660> impact.

00:03:31.760 --> 00:03:36.380
Many<00:03:31.920> of<00:03:32.080> them<00:03:32.220> were<00:03:32.420> established<00:03:33.000> from<00:03:34.380> religious<00:03:35.520> orders<00:03:35.820> in<00:03:36.000> the<00:03:36.120> past.

00:03:36.380 --> 00:03:43.960
A<00:03:36.500> lot<00:03:36.540> of<00:03:36.640> donations<00:03:37.120> were<00:03:37.360> made<00:03:37.740> to<00:03:38.060> help<00:03:38.200> establish<00:03:38.620> them,<00:03:39.020> but<00:03:39.280> fundamentally<00:03:39.660> they<00:03:39.820> were<00:03:39.960> operating<00:03:40.380> at<00:03:40.720> a<00:03:41.200> significant<00:03:41.580> loss<00:03:42.000> between<00:03:42.320> 40<00:03:42.700> and<00:03:42.780> 50%<00:03:43.440> OpEx.

00:03:43.960 --> 00:03:46.660
And<00:03:43.961> so<00:03:44.260> it's<00:03:44.840> not<00:03:45.000> a<00:03:45.100> good<00:03:45.200> place<00:03:45.460> to<00:03:45.880> be<00:03:45.881> if<00:03:45.980> you<00:03:46.120> want<00:03:46.280> to.

00:03:46.660 --> 00:03:51.040
And<00:03:46.700> then<00:03:46.840> the<00:03:46.940> government's<00:03:47.360> mandating<00:03:47.740> 12%<00:03:48.540> and<00:03:49.020> it's<00:03:49.200> like,<00:03:49.460> well,<00:03:49.580> how<00:03:49.700> do<00:03:49.800> you<00:03:49.940> bridge<00:03:50.180> this<00:03:50.440> gap?

00:03:51.200 --> 00:03:52.960
I<00:03:51.320> thought<00:03:51.560> you<00:03:51.561> said<00:03:51.660> the<00:03:51.760> government<00:03:52.080> was<00:03:52.360> conservative.

00:03:53.380 --> 00:03:54.140
It<00:03:53.400> sounds<00:03:53.520> like—.

00:03:54.140 --> 00:04:02.238
Well,<00:03:54.520> they<00:03:54.600> made<00:03:55.100> some<00:03:55.360> extra—<00:03:56.000> well,<00:03:56.760> I'd<00:03:56.780> say<00:03:56.800> the<00:03:56.820> marketplace<00:03:56.840> was<00:03:56.860> more<00:03:58.680> conservative<00:03:59.241> or<00:03:59.289> the<00:03:59.433> government<00:03:59.898> wants<00:04:00.106> to<00:04:00.218> institute<00:04:00.731> some<00:04:01.453> real<00:04:01.677> change.

00:04:02.318 --> 00:04:03.007
I'm<00:04:02.398> just<00:04:02.623> kidding.

00:04:03.120 --> 00:04:03.264
Yeah.

00:04:03.601 --> 00:04:09.580
But<00:04:04.338> so<00:04:04.546> with<00:04:04.643> that<00:04:04.947> in<00:04:05.043> place,<00:04:05.444> there<00:04:05.588> was,<00:04:05.765> yeah,<00:04:06.390> there<00:04:06.710> was<00:04:07.191> major<00:04:07.432> reform<00:04:07.768> needed<00:04:07.961> to<00:04:08.089> happen<00:04:08.409> and<00:04:08.570> it<00:04:08.730> took<00:04:08.906> a<00:04:08.970> couple<00:04:09.227> of<00:04:09.291> years.

00:04:09.676 --> 00:04:20.656
Like,<00:04:11.134> you<00:04:11.215> know,<00:04:11.679> many<00:04:11.872> of<00:04:11.936> the<00:04:12.016> providers<00:04:12.497> I<00:04:12.561> went<00:04:12.673> to<00:04:12.802> go<00:04:13.539> engage<00:04:14.020> with<00:04:14.421> as<00:04:14.581> prospective<00:04:15.126> clients<00:04:15.703> thought<00:04:15.927> I<00:04:15.943> was<00:04:16.104> a<00:04:16.184> bit<00:04:16.424> crazy<00:04:16.809> because<00:04:17.065> I<00:04:17.290> was<00:04:17.386> talking<00:04:17.691> about<00:04:17.947> this<00:04:18.011> thing<00:04:18.171> called<00:04:18.348> the<00:04:18.492> cloud<00:04:19.133> and<00:04:19.229> everyone<00:04:19.550> wanted<00:04:19.774> something<00:04:20.175> on-premise.

00:04:20.897 --> 00:04:22.227
And<00:04:20.993> I<00:04:21.073> was<00:04:21.217> like,<00:04:21.377> this<00:04:21.490> is<00:04:21.698> not<00:04:21.794> going<00:04:21.906> to<00:04:22.035> work.

00:04:22.435 --> 00:04:25.481
Like<00:04:22.676> what<00:04:22.900> you<00:04:22.996> need<00:04:23.157> to<00:04:23.317> create<00:04:23.702> here,<00:04:24.199> you<00:04:24.231> know,<00:04:24.359> technically<00:04:24.920> won't<00:04:25.160> work.

00:04:26.523 --> 00:04:36.841
And<00:04:26.619> so,<00:04:27.644> but<00:04:27.965> after<00:04:28.205> 2<00:04:28.429> years<00:04:28.766> or<00:04:28.830> so,<00:04:29.887> we<00:04:29.967> got<00:04:30.144> our<00:04:30.224> foundation<00:04:30.849> clients<00:04:31.410> and,<00:04:31.874> you<00:04:32.707> know,<00:04:32.836> and<00:04:32.996> helped<00:04:33.252> them<00:04:33.653> bridge<00:04:33.989> their<00:04:34.149> anxiety<00:04:34.854> of<00:04:35.399> being<00:04:35.575> the<00:04:35.720> first<00:04:36.152> in<00:04:36.216> market.

00:04:37.178 --> 00:04:43.539
But<00:04:37.274> then<00:04:37.402> they<00:04:37.498> played<00:04:37.674> a<00:04:37.738> pivotal<00:04:38.123> role,<00:04:38.299> as<00:04:38.540> all<00:04:38.620> foundation<00:04:39.165> clients<00:04:39.517> do,<00:04:40.046> in<00:04:40.222> being<00:04:40.446> advocates<00:04:40.943> in<00:04:40.975> market<00:04:41.888> and<00:04:42.369> help<00:04:42.641> encourage<00:04:43.010> the<00:04:43.042> next<00:04:43.411> lot.

00:04:43.587 --> 00:04:45.493
And,<00:04:43.891> you<00:04:43.923> know,<00:04:44.292> the<00:04:44.372> rest<00:04:44.548> is<00:04:44.628> history<00:04:44.949> sort<00:04:45.109> of<00:04:45.189> thing,<00:04:45.413> you<00:04:45.445> know?

00:04:45.558 --> 00:04:45.606
Yeah.

00:04:45.910 --> 00:04:49.067
You<00:04:46.086> know<00:04:46.231> what's<00:04:46.391> interesting<00:04:46.775> when<00:04:46.871> you<00:04:46.952> brought<00:04:47.128> up<00:04:47.256> the<00:04:47.336> cloud,<00:04:47.817> like<00:04:47.977> we've<00:04:48.153> kind<00:04:48.378> of<00:04:48.474> skipped<00:04:48.874> that.

00:04:49.131 --> 00:04:53.489
We<00:04:49.275> could<00:04:49.419> talk<00:04:49.659> about<00:04:49.996> the<00:04:50.316> internet<00:04:50.701> revolution<00:04:51.518> and<00:04:51.662> now<00:04:51.822> we're<00:04:51.919> talking<00:04:52.175> about<00:04:52.319> the<00:04:52.543> AI<00:04:52.944> revolution.

00:04:54.066 --> 00:04:58.782
But<00:04:54.242> cloud<00:04:54.627> was<00:04:54.804> a<00:04:55.028> really<00:04:55.525> big<00:04:55.782> deal<00:04:56.552> and<00:04:56.632> still<00:04:57.194> is<00:04:57.354> like<00:04:57.514> a<00:04:57.851> huge,<00:04:58.236> huge<00:04:58.573> deal.

00:04:58.942 --> 00:05:00.145
Yeah,<00:04:59.295> we<00:04:59.375> kind<00:04:59.552> of<00:04:59.616> skipped<00:04:59.921> that.

00:05:00.947 --> 00:05:02.246
Yeah,<00:05:01.380> I<00:05:01.460> completely<00:05:01.781> agree<00:05:02.022> with<00:05:02.118> you.

00:05:03.161 --> 00:05:05.631
I<00:05:03.225> think<00:05:03.481> it's<00:05:03.706> because<00:05:04.107> it<00:05:04.187> just<00:05:04.428> became<00:05:04.813> so<00:05:04.973> consumable.

00:05:06.016 --> 00:05:06.192
Yeah.

00:05:06.273 --> 00:05:13.346
Like,<00:05:06.497> you<00:05:06.529> know,<00:05:07.716> in<00:05:07.748> market<00:05:08.133> so<00:05:08.358> quickly<00:05:08.919> that<00:05:09.240> people<00:05:09.545> adopted<00:05:10.042> it<00:05:10.668> and,<00:05:10.908> you<00:05:10.988> know,<00:05:11.165> the<00:05:11.710> mentality<00:05:12.288> around<00:05:12.544> it<00:05:12.673> all<00:05:12.833> changed.

00:05:13.411 --> 00:05:18.511
But<00:05:13.555> I<00:05:13.571> think<00:05:13.892> the,<00:05:14.437> you<00:05:14.469> know,<00:05:14.630> more<00:05:14.854> risk-averse<00:05:15.496> organizations,<00:05:16.458> particularly<00:05:16.907> in<00:05:16.939> Australia,<00:05:17.421> were<00:05:17.918> obviously<00:05:18.303> concerned.

00:05:18.560 --> 00:05:21.479
Like<00:05:18.768> even<00:05:18.944> the<00:05:19.089> federal<00:05:19.410> government,<00:05:19.682> state<00:05:19.971> governments,<00:05:20.613> you<00:05:20.645> know,<00:05:20.789> took<00:05:20.966> them<00:05:21.110> a<00:05:21.190> while.

00:05:22.153 --> 00:05:25.285
To<00:05:22.298> change<00:05:22.571> across<00:05:22.892> to<00:05:23.101> clouds<00:05:23.840> and<00:05:23.920> they're<00:05:24.000> still<00:05:24.241> doing<00:05:24.482> it<00:05:24.562> today,<00:05:25.108> you<00:05:25.140> know.

00:05:25.542 --> 00:05:26.377
Isn't<00:05:25.927> that<00:05:26.072> wild?

00:05:26.554 --> 00:05:26.875
Yeah.

00:05:26.955 --> 00:05:32.416
So,<00:05:27.839> I<00:05:27.855> mean,<00:05:28.160> you<00:05:28.256> can<00:05:28.401> always<00:05:28.738> find<00:05:28.963> an<00:05:29.059> industry<00:05:29.461> or<00:05:29.638> sector<00:05:30.168> who's<00:05:30.344> still<00:05:30.649> like<00:05:30.971> running<00:05:31.228> everything<00:05:31.790> through<00:05:32.095> paper.

00:05:32.737 --> 00:05:34.520
Yeah,<00:05:33.540> I<00:05:33.653> still<00:05:33.958> exist<00:05:34.343> today.

00:05:34.584 --> 00:05:34.745
Yeah.

00:05:34.841 --> 00:05:37.556
I<00:05:34.922> mean,<00:05:35.082> even<00:05:35.387> this,<00:05:35.869> even<00:05:36.030> in<00:05:36.190> the<00:05:36.271> home<00:05:36.512> care<00:05:36.624> market<00:05:36.993> in<00:05:37.154> the<00:05:37.234> US.

00:05:37.797 --> 00:05:38.262
Oh<00:05:37.893> yeah,<00:05:38.005> plenty.

00:05:38.359 --> 00:05:39.483
There's<00:05:38.535> plenty<00:05:38.776> of<00:05:38.841> paper-based.

00:05:39.660 --> 00:05:40.270
That's<00:05:39.820> a<00:05:39.884> great<00:05:40.061> point.

00:05:40.607 --> 00:05:40.784
Yeah.

00:05:41.041 --> 00:05:45.490
So,<00:05:41.491> you<00:05:41.523> know,<00:05:42.294> examining<00:05:42.792> new<00:05:42.888> markets<00:05:43.418> now,<00:05:43.578> it's<00:05:43.835> like<00:05:44.157> it<00:05:44.976> still<00:05:45.265> happens.

00:05:45.554 --> 00:06:01.649
Still,<00:05:45.763> still<00:05:46.004> in<00:05:46.084> Australia,<00:05:46.951> you<00:05:47.048> know,<00:05:48.060> You<00:05:48.108> know,<00:05:48.412> maybe<00:05:48.636> they're<00:05:48.717> bridging<00:05:48.973> the<00:05:49.117> gap<00:05:49.293> for<00:05:49.406> most<00:05:49.630> of<00:05:49.678> the<00:05:49.774> technology<00:05:50.559> aspects<00:05:50.976> of<00:05:51.120> their<00:05:51.697> operational<00:05:52.162> systems,<00:05:52.643> but<00:05:53.364> there's<00:05:53.492> still<00:05:53.636> a<00:05:53.684> number<00:05:54.021> that<00:05:54.181> is<00:05:54.742> paper<00:05:56.104> or,<00:05:56.569> you<00:05:56.601> know,<00:05:57.146> still<00:05:57.306> better<00:05:57.610> than<00:05:57.771> paper,<00:05:58.107> but<00:05:58.331> it's<00:05:58.588> in,<00:05:58.748> you<00:05:58.780> know,<00:05:58.972> Word<00:05:59.149> documents<00:05:59.613> and<00:05:59.710> files,<00:06:00.110> which<00:06:00.270> is<00:06:00.607> not<00:06:00.767> a<00:06:00.847> secure<00:06:01.376> way<00:06:01.552> to—.

00:06:02.017 --> 00:06:02.113
Yeah.

00:06:02.738 --> 00:06:02.834
Yeah.

00:06:03.091 --> 00:06:03.972
So<00:06:03.411> still<00:06:03.700> not<00:06:03.860> good.

00:06:04.293 --> 00:06:04.805
Interesting.

00:06:04.918 --> 00:06:05.398
We're<00:06:05.014> getting<00:06:05.238> there.

00:06:06.344 --> 00:06:09.629
Tell<00:06:06.536> me<00:06:06.760> about<00:06:07.562> what<00:06:07.738> it's<00:06:07.946> like<00:06:08.203> to<00:06:08.363> build<00:06:08.587> a<00:06:08.667> company<00:06:09.084> in<00:06:09.148> Australia.

00:06:10.606 --> 00:06:12.610
You're<00:06:10.703> the<00:06:10.831> first<00:06:11.087> person<00:06:11.392> I've<00:06:11.488> ever<00:06:11.728> asked<00:06:11.904> that<00:06:12.113> question<00:06:12.513> to.

00:06:12.834 --> 00:06:13.635
Oh,<00:06:13.411> yes.

00:06:14.679 --> 00:06:18.228
Um,<00:06:15.964> very<00:06:16.140> hard,<00:06:16.622> in<00:06:16.702> particular<00:06:17.168> where<00:06:17.345> I'm<00:06:17.682> from.

00:06:18.453 --> 00:06:21.907
So<00:06:18.614> I'm<00:06:19.032> in<00:06:19.128> a<00:06:19.144> smaller<00:06:19.674> place<00:06:20.140> than,<00:06:20.557> than,<00:06:20.782> you<00:06:20.814> know,<00:06:20.943> Utah<00:06:21.184> or<00:06:21.457> Salt<00:06:21.746> Lake.

00:06:22.308 --> 00:06:30.917
Um,<00:06:22.581> it's<00:06:22.886> called<00:06:23.063> South<00:06:23.304> Australia,<00:06:23.770> where<00:06:24.011> in<00:06:24.171> Adelaide,<00:06:24.878> where<00:06:24.974> there's<00:06:25.360> just<00:06:25.521> over<00:06:25.681> a<00:06:25.697> million<00:06:25.938> people<00:06:26.259> in<00:06:26.340> the<00:06:26.436> city<00:06:26.966> or<00:06:27.063> in<00:06:27.127> the<00:06:27.175> metro<00:06:27.448> area,<00:06:28.653> and<00:06:28.749> just<00:06:28.974> under<00:06:29.151> 2<00:06:29.632> mil<00:06:29.873> in<00:06:30.018> the<00:06:30.355> whole<00:06:30.452> state.

00:06:31.062 --> 00:06:47.334
Um,<00:06:31.705> and,<00:06:32.122> um,<00:06:33.070> whilst<00:06:33.246> there's<00:06:33.728> innovative<00:06:34.146> things<00:06:34.997> that<00:06:35.094> are<00:06:35.174> present<00:06:35.575> in<00:06:35.656> our,<00:06:36.057> in<00:06:36.202> our<00:06:36.298> community,<00:06:37.246> um,<00:06:37.728> there<00:06:37.904> isn't<00:06:38.306> really<00:06:38.949> a<00:06:39.029> playbook<00:06:40.056> or<00:06:40.713> a<00:06:40.874> group<00:06:41.194> to<00:06:41.659> be<00:06:41.755> part<00:06:42.140> of<00:06:42.461> to<00:06:42.942> truly<00:06:43.759> know<00:06:43.984> how<00:06:44.160> to<00:06:44.304> seed<00:06:44.705> and<00:06:44.801> find<00:06:45.747> a<00:06:45.923> business<00:06:46.324> like<00:06:46.564> a,<00:06:46.789> like<00:06:46.965> a<00:06:46.981> Lumery.

00:06:48.328 --> 00:06:51.614
A<00:06:48.344> lot<00:06:48.488> of<00:06:48.552> people<00:06:48.793> thought<00:06:49.033> I<00:06:49.113> was<00:06:49.289> crazy<00:06:49.690> or<00:06:49.770> nuts<00:06:50.155> doing<00:06:50.331> this<00:06:50.572> thing<00:06:50.812> and<00:06:50.876> didn't<00:06:51.133> understand.

00:06:51.694 --> 00:06:55.557
I<00:06:51.774> had<00:06:51.934> a<00:06:52.079> lot<00:06:52.255> of<00:06:52.335> pushback,<00:06:53.041> you<00:06:53.457> know,<00:06:53.858> even<00:06:54.179> with<00:06:54.323> my<00:06:54.371> own<00:06:54.660> partners<00:06:55.060> at<00:06:55.124> the<00:06:55.221> time.

00:06:56.744 --> 00:06:59.934
But<00:06:57.208> I<00:06:57.305> took<00:06:57.465> some<00:06:57.609> inspiration<00:06:58.250> from<00:06:58.972> more<00:06:59.132> the<00:06:59.469> East<00:06:59.709> Coast.

00:07:00.174 --> 00:07:03.444
So<00:07:00.751> people<00:07:01.056> more<00:07:01.152> familiar<00:07:01.456> with<00:07:01.553> Sydney<00:07:01.953> or<00:07:02.033> Melbourne,<00:07:02.578> but<00:07:02.643> particularly<00:07:03.091> Sydney.

00:07:03.717 --> 00:07:07.019
And<00:07:03.781> you<00:07:03.813> know,<00:07:03.893> there<00:07:04.021> was<00:07:04.182> definitely<00:07:04.534> more<00:07:04.759> entrepreneurial<00:07:05.352> spirit<00:07:05.624> in<00:07:05.720> the<00:07:05.865> tech<00:07:06.442> space<00:07:06.843> there.

00:07:07.307 --> 00:07:11.139
So,<00:07:07.628> you<00:07:07.660> know,<00:07:07.708> I<00:07:07.868> leveraged<00:07:08.205> that<00:07:08.429> and<00:07:08.766> tried<00:07:08.991> to<00:07:09.023> make<00:07:09.247> the<00:07:09.327> right<00:07:09.568> connections<00:07:10.049> and<00:07:10.161> networks<00:07:10.545> as<00:07:10.690> I<00:07:10.834> could.

00:07:11.620 --> 00:07:19.720
Helped<00:07:11.940> gain<00:07:12.180> the<00:07:12.280> insight<00:07:12.640> as<00:07:12.840> to<00:07:13.000> how<00:07:13.100> to<00:07:13.240> go<00:07:13.420> and<00:07:13.900> instantiate<00:07:14.740> the<00:07:14.940> organisation<00:07:15.560> and<00:07:15.760> put<00:07:15.900> it<00:07:16.040> into<00:07:16.140> a<00:07:16.340> structure<00:07:16.660> that<00:07:16.900> would<00:07:17.020> enable<00:07:17.300> me<00:07:17.480> to<00:07:18.040> run<00:07:18.220> a<00:07:18.720> product<00:07:18.880> tech<00:07:19.120> business.

00:07:20.360 --> 00:07:29.590
But<00:07:20.800> without<00:07:21.040> that,<00:07:21.320> I<00:07:21.400> don't<00:07:21.600> know<00:07:21.900> if<00:07:22.100> I<00:07:22.240> would<00:07:22.340> have<00:07:22.440> been<00:07:22.520> able<00:07:22.620> to<00:07:22.720> do<00:07:22.880> it<00:07:23.600> because,<00:07:24.480> and<00:07:24.500> back<00:07:24.840> then,<00:07:25.420> 10<00:07:25.720> or<00:07:25.840> so<00:07:26.000> years<00:07:26.220> ago,<00:07:27.540> there's<00:07:27.699> far<00:07:27.920> more<00:07:28.020> data<00:07:28.300> again<00:07:28.700> that's<00:07:28.900> more<00:07:29.040> accessible.

00:07:29.620 --> 00:07:33.110
And<00:07:29.680> so<00:07:29.780> it's<00:07:29.880> the<00:07:30.020> speed<00:07:30.320> of<00:07:30.460> which<00:07:30.680> you<00:07:31.140> probably<00:07:31.320> could<00:07:31.540> ChatGPT<00:07:32.160> on<00:07:32.280> how<00:07:32.420> to<00:07:32.540> go<00:07:32.660> today.

00:07:34.380 --> 00:07:37.290
But<00:07:34.500> back<00:07:35.560> then<00:07:35.780> it<00:07:35.840> was<00:07:36.020> a<00:07:36.600> lot<00:07:36.740> harder.

00:07:37.360 --> 00:07:39.140
Was<00:07:37.900> AWS<00:07:38.520> around?

00:07:39.140 --> 00:07:40.020
Could<00:07:39.300> you<00:07:39.460> build<00:07:39.620> on<00:07:39.780> that?

00:07:40.020 --> 00:07:41.340
Yeah,<00:07:40.240> you<00:07:40.360> could<00:07:40.480> build<00:07:40.660> on<00:07:40.920> that.

00:07:41.980 --> 00:07:44.147
Yeah,<00:07:42.252> you<00:07:42.413> could<00:07:42.558> build<00:07:42.798> on<00:07:43.039> even<00:07:43.216> Dynamics<00:07:43.778> back<00:07:44.003> then.

00:07:44.243 --> 00:07:50.200
Like<00:07:44.436> I<00:07:44.500> say,<00:07:44.805> it<00:07:44.886> was<00:07:44.982> early<00:07:45.159> stage,<00:07:46.026> but<00:07:46.909> compared<00:07:47.150> to<00:07:47.214> the<00:07:47.535> Salesforce<00:07:47.872> platform<00:07:48.595> back<00:07:48.820> then,<00:07:48.916> it<00:07:48.980> was<00:07:49.028> still<00:07:49.655> immature.

00:07:50.987 --> 00:07:54.423
But<00:07:51.244> technically,<00:07:52.111> yeah,<00:07:52.770> you<00:07:52.850> could<00:07:52.994> build<00:07:53.171> on<00:07:53.315> these<00:07:53.428> types<00:07:53.813> of<00:07:53.974> platforms.

00:07:54.520 --> 00:08:02.179
But<00:07:54.632> it's<00:07:54.921> challenging<00:07:55.419> and<00:07:55.499> it's<00:07:55.708> something<00:07:55.981> that<00:07:56.141> I'd—<00:07:56.447> speaking<00:07:56.703> to<00:07:56.800> Ryan<00:07:57.490> earlier<00:07:57.683> today,<00:07:57.924> something<00:07:58.293> that<00:07:58.389> I<00:07:58.454> want<00:07:58.550> to<00:07:59.674> change<00:08:00.220> and<00:08:00.493> make<00:08:00.782> an<00:08:00.862> impact<00:08:01.280> and<00:08:01.440> help<00:08:01.665> with<00:08:01.761> the<00:08:01.842> community.

00:08:02.243 --> 00:08:17.750
And<00:08:02.323> there's<00:08:02.612> some<00:08:02.725> movements<00:08:03.126> towards<00:08:03.592> it,<00:08:03.768> but<00:08:03.945> I<00:08:04.009> think<00:08:04.234> we've<00:08:04.411> got<00:08:04.539> to<00:08:04.892> invest<00:08:05.631> significantly<00:08:06.257> more<00:08:06.498> in<00:08:06.642> order<00:08:06.755> to<00:08:06.964> really<00:08:07.220> help<00:08:07.920> young<00:08:08.570> entrepreneurs<00:08:09.390> enable<00:08:10.190> themselves<00:08:10.750> to<00:08:11.030> incubate<00:08:11.770> and<00:08:12.010> move<00:08:12.210> into<00:08:12.390> the<00:08:12.490> next<00:08:12.610> stages<00:08:13.090> and<00:08:13.270> without<00:08:13.590> necessarily<00:08:14.110> all<00:08:14.390> the<00:08:14.650> difficult<00:08:15.050> phases<00:08:15.450> of<00:08:15.670> funding<00:08:15.950> that<00:08:16.190> they<00:08:16.550> might<00:08:16.730> have<00:08:16.990> to<00:08:17.050> traverse.

00:08:18.590 --> 00:08:18.610
Yeah.

00:08:18.610 --> 00:08:19.370
You<00:08:18.770> mentioned<00:08:19.010> Ryan.

00:08:19.370 --> 00:08:22.870
That's<00:08:19.530> the<00:08:19.690> great<00:08:20.070> Ryan<00:08:20.470> Westwood,<00:08:21.350> the<00:08:21.390> CEO<00:08:21.810> of<00:08:22.390> Fullcast.

00:08:22.870 --> 00:08:23.770
A<00:08:23.010> wonderful<00:08:23.350> man.

00:08:23.770 --> 00:08:25.010
He's<00:08:23.810> actually<00:08:24.050> in<00:08:24.270> the<00:08:24.390> room<00:08:24.750> right<00:08:25.010> now.

00:08:25.010 --> 00:08:26.310
Yeah,<00:08:25.170> well,<00:08:25.290> I<00:08:25.291> said<00:08:25.410> it<00:08:25.570> like<00:08:25.910> that.

00:08:26.490 --> 00:08:29.420
So<00:08:26.550> we're<00:08:26.890> performing<00:08:27.130> for<00:08:27.370> an<00:08:27.510> audience<00:08:27.910> of<00:08:28.230> one,<00:08:28.490> which<00:08:28.650> is<00:08:28.870> incredible.

00:08:30.290 --> 00:08:45.003
I<00:08:31.190> wonder<00:08:31.530> what<00:08:32.230> the<00:08:32.510> venture<00:08:32.970> ecosystem<00:08:33.590> is<00:08:34.010> like<00:08:34.550> in<00:08:34.970> Australia,<00:08:35.630> because<00:08:35.950> as<00:08:36.190> I<00:08:36.330> think<00:08:36.490> about<00:08:36.670> that,<00:08:37.090> particularly<00:08:37.350> if<00:08:37.490> we're<00:08:37.510> talking<00:08:37.530> like<00:08:37.550> 10<00:08:37.570> years<00:08:37.590> ago,<00:08:39.505> The<00:08:39.601> venture<00:08:39.857> ecosystem,<00:08:40.627> even<00:08:40.883> in<00:08:41.188> Utah<00:08:41.605> where<00:08:41.829> I'm<00:08:42.005> from,<00:08:43.272> was<00:08:44.089> not<00:08:44.731> great.

00:08:45.356 --> 00:08:47.167
I<00:08:45.452> want<00:08:45.580> to<00:08:45.628> say<00:08:45.933> like<00:08:46.093> there<00:08:46.237> wasn't<00:08:46.494> tons<00:08:46.750> of<00:08:46.815> capital.

00:08:47.215 --> 00:08:48.225
It<00:08:47.279> wasn't<00:08:47.472> super<00:08:47.857> easy.

00:08:48.337 --> 00:08:48.834
Like,<00:08:48.514> yeah.

00:08:48.995 --> 00:08:50.213
So<00:08:49.139> what<00:08:49.283> was<00:08:49.460> it<00:08:49.492> like<00:08:50.101> there?

00:08:51.127 --> 00:09:04.929
I<00:08:51.223> think<00:08:51.848> if<00:08:52.345> I'm<00:08:52.569> looking,<00:08:52.730> my<00:08:53.050> history<00:08:53.291> is<00:08:53.403> not<00:08:53.547> exactly<00:08:53.948> perfect,<00:08:54.349> but<00:08:54.493> I<00:08:54.910> imagine,<00:08:55.615> or<00:08:56.192> from<00:08:56.417> what<00:08:56.529> I<00:08:56.577> understand<00:08:57.138> and<00:08:57.234> gleaned,<00:08:57.811> is<00:08:57.876> that<00:08:57.956> there<00:08:58.052> was<00:08:58.180> probably<00:08:58.356> only<00:08:58.533> a<00:08:58.597> couple<00:08:58.837> of<00:08:58.917> funds<00:08:59.719> that<00:08:59.863> you<00:08:59.943> could<00:09:00.040> go<00:09:00.184> and<00:09:00.360> try<00:09:00.585> and<00:09:00.681> raise<00:09:00.921> capital<00:09:01.386> with<00:09:01.883> in<00:09:01.963> a<00:09:01.979> structured<00:09:02.524> way<00:09:03.486> from<00:09:03.791> like<00:09:03.951> from<00:09:04.208> venture<00:09:04.512> capital.

00:09:05.892 --> 00:09:07.047
I<00:09:05.908> think<00:09:06.197> more<00:09:06.517> came<00:09:06.854> on.

00:09:07.319 --> 00:09:14.874
There<00:09:07.399> was<00:09:07.496> a<00:09:07.512> lot<00:09:07.672> of<00:09:09.116> silent<00:09:09.966> or<00:09:10.607> behind<00:09:10.848> the<00:09:10.912> scenes<00:09:11.201> type<00:09:11.425> investors<00:09:12.051> that<00:09:12.147> would<00:09:12.644> make<00:09:12.933> investments<00:09:13.430> and<00:09:13.575> help<00:09:13.831> companies<00:09:14.232> grow<00:09:14.409> for<00:09:14.585> sure.

00:09:15.916 --> 00:09:18.451
But<00:09:16.077> definitely<00:09:16.478> there's<00:09:16.638> an<00:09:16.718> uplift<00:09:17.119> in<00:09:17.184> the<00:09:17.264> last<00:09:17.585> 5<00:09:17.777> or<00:09:17.857> 6<00:09:18.226> years.

00:09:19.028 --> 00:09:26.085
Each<00:09:19.188> city<00:09:19.509> has<00:09:20.071> tried<00:09:20.488> to<00:09:21.691> introduce<00:09:22.509> a<00:09:22.573> tech<00:09:23.455> Silicon<00:09:23.856> Slopes<00:09:24.241> type<00:09:24.433> thing<00:09:24.995> to<00:09:25.396> some<00:09:25.620> degree.

00:09:27.064 --> 00:09:29.325
And<00:09:27.208> there's<00:09:27.625> far<00:09:27.882> more<00:09:28.090> funds<00:09:28.491> now<00:09:28.924> available.

00:09:29.390 --> 00:09:42.056
So<00:09:29.630> let's<00:09:30.015> say<00:09:30.272> when<00:09:30.432> I<00:09:30.512> went<00:09:30.657> out<00:09:31.475> to<00:09:31.619> raise<00:09:33.319> 3<00:09:33.448> or<00:09:33.480> 4<00:09:33.704> years<00:09:33.897> ago,<00:09:34.666> I<00:09:36.221> must<00:09:36.462> have<00:09:36.558> made<00:09:37.151> probably<00:09:37.488> about<00:09:37.904> 45,<00:09:38.610> 50<00:09:39.572> first,<00:09:39.892> first<00:09:40.213> intro<00:09:40.533> calls<00:09:41.078> to<00:09:41.511> VCs.

00:09:42.200 --> 00:09:47.683
But<00:09:42.297> I<00:09:42.313> suspect<00:09:42.794> if<00:09:42.938> I<00:09:43.018> did<00:09:43.178> that<00:09:43.339> 5<00:09:43.643> years<00:09:43.884> earlier,<00:09:44.541> I<00:09:44.621> would<00:09:44.781> not<00:09:45.166> have<00:09:45.807> been<00:09:45.968> able<00:09:46.208> to<00:09:46.865> engage<00:09:47.186> with<00:09:47.266> that<00:09:47.426> many.

00:09:47.859 --> 00:09:54.976
So,<00:09:48.388> so<00:09:48.629> it's<00:09:48.789> definitely<00:09:49.174> uplifted,<00:09:50.296> um,<00:09:50.937> or<00:09:51.498> entering<00:09:51.770> into<00:09:51.899> the<00:09:51.979> market<00:09:52.716> and<00:09:52.780> supporting<00:09:53.117> different<00:09:53.373> phases<00:09:53.854> of<00:09:53.983> ranges<00:09:54.399> of<00:09:54.640> raises.

00:09:55.105 --> 00:09:58.776
But,<00:09:55.505> um,<00:09:56.083> yeah,<00:09:56.243> so<00:09:56.467> it's<00:09:56.644> definitely,<00:09:57.365> definitely<00:09:57.605> changed<00:09:57.926> and<00:09:58.006> shifted<00:09:58.391> for<00:09:58.471> the<00:09:58.567> better.

00:09:59.112 --> 00:10:05.749
Have<00:09:59.192> you<00:09:59.353> been<00:09:59.513> able<00:09:59.753> to<00:09:59.834> stay<00:10:00.250> in<00:10:00.331> the<00:10:00.411> area<00:10:00.876> where<00:10:00.972> you're<00:10:01.196> from<00:10:01.677> and<00:10:01.773> where<00:10:01.853> you<00:10:01.998> built<00:10:02.110> it,<00:10:02.270> or<00:10:02.398> do<00:10:02.431> you,<00:10:02.815> uh,<00:10:03.200> have<00:10:03.360> you<00:10:03.440> had<00:10:03.601> to<00:10:03.665> move<00:10:03.937> to<00:10:04.034> Sydney<00:10:04.498> or<00:10:04.595> Melbourne<00:10:05.059> or<00:10:05.380> these<00:10:05.604> places?

00:10:05.797 --> 00:10:11.790
Yeah,<00:10:05.925> it's<00:10:06.150> It's<00:10:06.151> a<00:10:06.270> good<00:10:06.410> question<00:10:06.870> because<00:10:07.330> I<00:10:08.550> think<00:10:08.770> I<00:10:08.930> probably<00:10:09.210> would<00:10:09.390> have<00:10:09.530> found<00:10:09.930> my<00:10:10.310> life<00:10:10.510> easier<00:10:10.910> if<00:10:11.070> I<00:10:11.250> did<00:10:11.410> move.

00:10:11.790 --> 00:10:12.430
Yeah.

00:10:12.430 --> 00:10:17.580
From<00:10:12.850> Adelaide<00:10:13.210> to<00:10:13.330> Sydney<00:10:13.670> in<00:10:13.910> particular,<00:10:14.450> because<00:10:15.010> I<00:10:15.450> travel<00:10:15.750> there,<00:10:16.270> you<00:10:16.350> know,<00:10:16.510> quite<00:10:16.670> a<00:10:16.930> bit.

00:10:18.020 --> 00:10:21.430
But<00:10:18.870> my<00:10:19.190> constraints<00:10:19.630> were<00:10:19.950> I<00:10:20.030> had<00:10:20.410> my<00:10:20.411> family<00:10:20.750> there<00:10:21.070> and—.

00:10:21.430 --> 00:10:22.070
Yeah.

00:10:22.070 --> 00:10:22.830
And<00:10:22.510> children.

00:10:22.830 --> 00:10:23.670
I'm<00:10:22.990> glad<00:10:23.210> you<00:10:23.330> didn't.

00:10:23.670 --> 00:10:24.640
And<00:10:23.830> so<00:10:24.010> I<00:10:24.190> didn't.

00:10:24.830 --> 00:10:36.170
So<00:10:24.870> me,<00:10:25.150> my<00:10:25.290> other<00:10:25.650> co-founder<00:10:26.050> and<00:10:26.230> partner,<00:10:26.510> we<00:10:26.730> said,<00:10:26.950> nah,<00:10:27.050> we'll<00:10:27.190> keep<00:10:27.350> it<00:10:27.570> here,<00:10:28.110> we'll<00:10:28.370> base<00:10:28.550> ourselves<00:10:29.010> here,<00:10:29.370> we'll<00:10:29.590> do<00:10:29.690> the<00:10:29.790> best<00:10:29.950> that<00:10:30.110> we<00:10:30.310> can,<00:10:31.200> we'll<00:10:31.650> bring<00:10:31.790> in<00:10:31.970> more<00:10:32.110> talent,<00:10:32.390> we'll<00:10:32.530> create<00:10:32.770> talent,<00:10:34.050> and<00:10:34.550> where<00:10:35.370> we<00:10:35.490> have<00:10:35.690> to<00:10:35.850> go<00:10:36.070> outside,<00:10:36.130> we<00:10:36.150> will.

00:10:37.886 --> 00:10:44.733
Like<00:10:37.999> in<00:10:38.079> Australia<00:10:38.464> we<00:10:38.544> have<00:10:38.640> about<00:10:38.832> 120,<00:10:39.426> 130<00:10:39.907> staff<00:10:40.532> and<00:10:40.805> about<00:10:41.093> 80<00:10:41.414> are<00:10:42.216> from<00:10:43.098> the<00:10:43.579> original<00:10:43.996> founding<00:10:44.493> city.

00:10:44.797 --> 00:10:48.597
So,<00:10:45.775> so<00:10:45.936> we've<00:10:46.256> tried<00:10:46.625> to<00:10:46.882> try<00:10:47.202> to<00:10:47.299> retain<00:10:47.700> it<00:10:47.844> as<00:10:47.988> much<00:10:48.165> as<00:10:48.245> we<00:10:48.389> can.

00:10:48.790 --> 00:10:49.191
I<00:10:48.806> love<00:10:49.111> that.

00:10:49.351 --> 00:10:54.899
I<00:10:49.431> think<00:10:49.832> entrepreneurship<00:10:51.291> should<00:10:51.596> focus<00:10:52.237> on<00:10:52.414> building<00:10:52.879> where<00:10:52.975> you<00:10:53.135> live<00:10:53.472> so<00:10:53.632> you<00:10:53.696> don't<00:10:53.921> have<00:10:54.033> to<00:10:54.161> move,<00:10:54.723> you<00:10:54.755> know?

00:10:55.284 --> 00:10:57.352
Yeah,<00:10:55.524> well,<00:10:55.605> it's<00:10:55.861> always<00:10:56.102> nice<00:10:56.326> to<00:10:56.422> give<00:10:56.583> back<00:10:56.759> to<00:10:56.887> the<00:10:56.983> community.

00:10:57.465 --> 00:10:58.523
Yeah,<00:10:58.026> yeah.

00:10:58.892 --> 00:11:01.281
Like,<00:10:59.709> why<00:10:59.790> are<00:10:59.870> we<00:11:00.110> building<00:11:00.335> New<00:11:00.511> York<00:11:00.752> City<00:11:00.992> again?

00:11:01.537 --> 00:11:04.263
Yeah,<00:11:03.157> yeah,<00:11:03.638> exactly.

00:11:04.616 --> 00:11:05.209
Exactly.

00:11:05.370 --> 00:11:10.050
I<00:11:05.830> think,<00:11:06.150> I<00:11:06.190> think<00:11:06.370> there's<00:11:06.550> just<00:11:06.790> that<00:11:07.010> natural,<00:11:07.750> you<00:11:08.310> know,<00:11:08.950> desire<00:11:09.330> as<00:11:09.650> well<00:11:09.790> to—.

00:11:10.050 --> 00:11:11.550
Yeah,<00:11:10.270> you<00:11:10.330> want<00:11:10.410> to<00:11:10.490> be<00:11:10.550> back<00:11:10.770> to<00:11:11.010> the—.

00:11:11.550 --> 00:11:11.690
Yeah.

00:11:11.690 --> 00:11:16.290
You<00:11:11.870> know,<00:11:11.910> where<00:11:12.150> you<00:11:12.250> grew<00:11:12.430> up,<00:11:12.550> what<00:11:12.670> was<00:11:12.830> invested<00:11:13.170> in<00:11:13.430> you,<00:11:13.650> and,<00:11:14.110> and<00:11:14.250> you<00:11:14.370> want<00:11:14.450> to<00:11:14.590> see<00:11:14.670> others<00:11:14.930> prosper<00:11:15.310> and<00:11:15.510> do<00:11:15.650> the<00:11:15.790> same<00:11:15.970> thing.

00:11:16.290 --> 00:11:21.170
And,<00:11:16.670> and<00:11:17.070> I<00:11:17.190> don't<00:11:17.290> think<00:11:17.430> it's<00:11:17.570> sustainable<00:11:18.010> anyway<00:11:18.470> in<00:11:18.690> everybody<00:11:19.090> just<00:11:19.650> moving<00:11:20.010> to<00:11:20.190> the<00:11:20.390> same<00:11:20.570> location.

00:11:21.170 --> 00:11:22.690
And,<00:11:21.550> and<00:11:21.910> this<00:11:22.050> city's<00:11:22.330> beautiful.

00:11:22.690 --> 00:11:25.330
It's<00:11:22.710> the<00:11:22.890> first<00:11:22.970> time<00:11:23.130> I've<00:11:23.230> been<00:11:23.370> here,<00:11:23.530> but<00:11:23.770> I<00:11:24.410> think<00:11:24.550> it's<00:11:24.730> fantastic.

00:11:25.710 --> 00:11:25.990
Yeah.

00:11:25.990 --> 00:11:27.370
This<00:11:26.150> is<00:11:26.610> Provo,<00:11:26.690> my<00:11:27.010> friend.

00:11:27.370 --> 00:11:31.830
This<00:11:27.470> is<00:11:27.750> the—<00:11:29.050> this<00:11:29.051> is<00:11:29.390> not<00:11:29.610> even<00:11:29.990> the<00:11:30.190> big<00:11:30.410> city<00:11:30.750> here<00:11:31.050> in<00:11:31.270> Utah.

00:11:31.830 --> 00:11:35.370
Even<00:11:32.230> I'm<00:11:32.650> resisting<00:11:33.090> the<00:11:33.310> big<00:11:33.510> city<00:11:33.710> in<00:11:33.850> Utah,<00:11:34.030> which<00:11:34.150> is<00:11:34.270> like<00:11:34.430> 45<00:11:34.810> minutes<00:11:35.190> up<00:11:35.350> there.

00:11:35.370 --> 00:11:35.430
Well,<00:11:35.390> it's<00:11:35.410> lovely.

00:11:37.302 --> 00:11:37.526
Lovely<00:11:37.446> though.

00:11:37.944 --> 00:11:42.602
It's<00:11:38.506> really,<00:11:39.133> um,<00:11:39.566> I<00:11:39.582> don't<00:11:39.791> know,<00:11:39.952> just<00:11:40.417> very—<00:11:40.835> just<00:11:40.947> seems<00:11:41.237> very<00:11:41.638> peaceful,<00:11:41.959> like,<00:11:42.425> you<00:11:42.521> know.

00:11:42.682 --> 00:11:44.095
Oh,<00:11:42.827> it's<00:11:43.710> wonderful.

00:11:44.176 --> 00:11:44.947
Yeah,<00:11:44.609> it's<00:11:44.770> great.

00:11:45.557 --> 00:11:54.503
Uh,<00:11:45.798> so<00:11:46.601> what<00:11:46.713> is<00:11:46.858> it<00:11:47.002> like<00:11:47.581> to<00:11:47.806> build<00:11:48.127> in<00:11:48.207> Australia<00:11:48.849> and<00:11:48.946> then<00:11:49.106> try<00:11:49.412> to<00:11:49.572> go<00:11:49.749> into<00:11:49.974> other<00:11:50.215> markets<00:11:50.777> and<00:11:50.873> other<00:11:51.114> countries<00:11:51.676> and<00:11:51.757> start,<00:11:52.222> uh,<00:11:52.399> focusing<00:11:52.961> on<00:11:53.186> like<00:11:53.427> more<00:11:53.604> international<00:11:54.182> stuff?

00:11:54.969 --> 00:12:01.040
Yeah,<00:11:55.226> so,<00:11:56.318> um,<00:11:57.201> I—<00:11:57.779> well,<00:11:58.181> the<00:11:58.325> advice<00:11:58.743> prior<00:11:58.984> to<00:11:59.305> going<00:11:59.546> to<00:11:59.691> the<00:11:59.771> US<00:12:00.189> was<00:12:00.413> that<00:12:00.670> very<00:12:00.895> hard.

00:12:01.875 --> 00:12:02.421
Most<00:12:02.116> fail.

00:12:02.598 --> 00:12:03.353
You'll<00:12:02.742> be<00:12:02.839> there<00:12:02.983> for<00:12:03.144> a<00:12:03.160> while.

00:12:03.610 --> 00:12:07.140
You<00:12:03.870> could<00:12:04.030> sink<00:12:04.230> your<00:12:04.370> whole<00:12:04.530> business<00:12:04.950> with<00:12:05.950> that<00:12:06.490> initiative.

00:12:09.430 --> 00:12:11.000
And<00:12:09.470> then<00:12:09.570> there<00:12:09.790> was<00:12:10.010> the<00:12:10.450> standard.

00:12:11.190 --> 00:12:15.770
I<00:12:11.210> don't<00:12:11.370> know<00:12:11.710> if<00:12:12.470> it's<00:12:12.690> common<00:12:12.990> here,<00:12:13.290> but<00:12:13.390> from<00:12:13.890> an<00:12:14.230> Australian<00:12:14.570> perspective,<00:12:15.070> it's<00:12:15.210> a<00:12:15.370> standard.

00:12:15.870 --> 00:12:19.970
There's<00:12:15.890> one<00:12:16.010> country,<00:12:16.370> but<00:12:16.510> there's<00:12:16.670> 50<00:12:16.850> states,<00:12:17.550> and<00:12:17.750> then<00:12:17.870> there's<00:12:18.210> hundreds<00:12:18.790> of<00:12:18.930> counties<00:12:19.330> and<00:12:19.430> so<00:12:19.710> forth.

00:12:19.970 --> 00:12:24.560
So<00:12:20.670> everywhere<00:12:20.810> you<00:12:21.090> go,<00:12:21.650> you're<00:12:21.890> going<00:12:21.891> to<00:12:21.950> have<00:12:22.070> different<00:12:22.250> regulations,<00:12:22.750> rules,<00:12:23.010> and<00:12:23.130> so<00:12:23.270> forth<00:12:23.470> that<00:12:23.570> you<00:12:23.710> need<00:12:23.850> to<00:12:23.990> go<00:12:24.110> and<00:12:24.210> navigate.

00:12:24.670 --> 00:12:37.498
And<00:12:24.690> I<00:12:24.790> was<00:12:24.870> like,<00:12:25.390> it's<00:12:25.530> going<00:12:25.670> to<00:12:25.770> be<00:12:25.910> like,<00:12:26.670> yeah,<00:12:26.750> but<00:12:28.390> interestingly,<00:12:29.550> when<00:12:29.790> we<00:12:30.570> did<00:12:31.650> the<00:12:31.810> analysis<00:12:32.130> in<00:12:32.370> the<00:12:32.490> market<00:12:32.730> and<00:12:32.830> what<00:12:32.970> was<00:12:33.070> required<00:12:33.490> in<00:12:33.590> order<00:12:33.610> to<00:12:33.630> produce<00:12:33.650> the<00:12:33.670> product<00:12:33.690> and<00:12:35.510> take<00:12:35.766> our<00:12:35.943> technology<00:12:36.504> and<00:12:36.809> replicate<00:12:37.242> it<00:12:37.370> here.

00:12:38.011 --> 00:12:50.601
We<00:12:38.092> found<00:12:38.428> that<00:12:38.829> many<00:12:39.070> organisations<00:12:40.016> had<00:12:41.011> simplified<00:12:41.780> some<00:12:42.053> of<00:12:42.278> those<00:12:42.983> factors<00:12:43.625> that<00:12:43.801> were<00:12:44.026> concerns<00:12:44.764> and<00:12:45.004> they<00:12:45.229> weren't<00:12:47.554> the<00:12:47.715> issue<00:12:48.051> or<00:12:48.132> the<00:12:48.292> big<00:12:48.452> problem<00:12:48.917> that<00:12:49.030> everyone<00:12:49.415> sort<00:12:49.655> of<00:12:49.816> built<00:12:50.056> up<00:12:50.216> to<00:12:50.361> be.

00:12:51.820 --> 00:13:04.138
So<00:12:52.927> our<00:12:53.328> journey<00:12:53.665> is<00:12:53.969> we<00:12:54.370> did<00:12:54.483> a<00:12:54.531> lot<00:12:54.691> of<00:12:54.723> analysis<00:12:55.188> for<00:12:55.333> a<00:12:55.349> year,<00:12:55.621> started<00:12:56.295> building<00:12:56.455> the<00:12:56.536> product,<00:12:56.856> took<00:12:56.969> us<00:12:57.097> about<00:12:57.289> 9<00:12:57.514> months,<00:12:57.915> released<00:12:58.220> the<00:12:58.300> MVP,<00:12:58.797> took<00:12:58.957> us<00:12:59.005> about<00:12:59.118> another<00:12:59.278> 4<00:12:59.438> or<00:12:59.519> 5<00:12:59.695> months<00:13:00.080> to<00:13:00.240> get<00:13:00.337> it<00:13:00.641> into<00:13:00.818> a<00:13:00.882> production<00:13:01.299> state<00:13:01.764> that<00:13:01.908> we<00:13:02.149> were<00:13:02.309> happy<00:13:02.550> with,<00:13:03.047> at<00:13:03.207> least<00:13:03.448> in<00:13:03.528> an<00:13:03.672> early<00:13:03.849> phase.

00:13:05.356 --> 00:13:10.661
And<00:13:05.452> then<00:13:05.693> another<00:13:06.318> sort<00:13:06.430> of<00:13:06.494> 9,<00:13:06.799> 12<00:13:07.039> months<00:13:07.295> to<00:13:07.632> solidify<00:13:08.481> it<00:13:08.898> as<00:13:09.299> what<00:13:09.443> we<00:13:09.539> think<00:13:09.780> is<00:13:09.860> now<00:13:09.956> market<00:13:10.405> leader.

00:13:10.821 --> 00:13:15.004
Well,<00:13:11.126> sorry,<00:13:11.286> I<00:13:11.302> should<00:13:11.527> say<00:13:11.623> the<00:13:11.751> market<00:13:12.104> is<00:13:12.184> telling<00:13:12.440> us<00:13:12.648> that<00:13:12.745> it's,<00:13:13.145> it's<00:13:13.306> leading<00:13:13.690> for<00:13:13.850> sure.

00:13:15.613 --> 00:13:21.800
And,<00:13:16.896> and<00:13:17.537> whilst<00:13:17.777> I<00:13:17.857> would<00:13:18.034> have<00:13:18.114> done<00:13:18.354> some<00:13:18.659> things<00:13:18.899> slightly<00:13:19.316> different<00:13:19.941> overall,<00:13:20.518> it's—<00:13:21.303> what<00:13:21.399> can<00:13:21.479> I<00:13:21.575> say?

00:13:21.880 --> 00:13:24.813
That<00:13:22.120> came<00:13:22.265> with<00:13:22.361> challenges,<00:13:22.826> don't<00:13:22.922> get<00:13:23.034> me<00:13:23.226> wrong,<00:13:23.563> but<00:13:23.723> it<00:13:24.124> wasn't<00:13:24.364> too<00:13:24.524> bad.

00:13:25.310 --> 00:13:27.826
I<00:13:25.326> think<00:13:25.470> the<00:13:25.550> hardest<00:13:25.871> thing<00:13:26.047> is<00:13:26.143> always<00:13:26.368> finding<00:13:26.688> the<00:13:26.832> people<00:13:27.089> that<00:13:27.233> you<00:13:27.313> can<00:13:27.409> trust.

00:13:27.890 --> 00:13:28.050
Yeah.

00:13:28.515 --> 00:13:46.505
And<00:13:28.595> I<00:13:28.611> think<00:13:28.932> for<00:13:29.012> anybody,<00:13:29.717> you<00:13:29.749> know,<00:13:29.893> broaching<00:13:30.294> into<00:13:30.470> new<00:13:30.679> geographies,<00:13:31.640> that's<00:13:31.801> going<00:13:31.865> to<00:13:31.913> be<00:13:32.041> the<00:13:32.121> hardest<00:13:32.442> thing<00:13:32.618> that<00:13:32.762> you<00:13:32.858> try<00:13:33.019> and<00:13:33.163> tackle<00:13:33.500> because<00:13:35.568> trying<00:13:35.760> to<00:13:35.888> find<00:13:36.225> that<00:13:36.450> person<00:13:36.867> that<00:13:37.011> you<00:13:37.107> can<00:13:37.284> sort<00:13:37.508> of<00:13:37.540> center<00:13:37.989> and<00:13:38.150> bring<00:13:38.390> a<00:13:38.470> community<00:13:38.951> in<00:13:39.032> that<00:13:39.176> is<00:13:39.272> trusted<00:13:40.074> is<00:13:40.234> going<00:13:40.395> to<00:13:40.539> be,<00:13:41.100> uh,<00:13:41.758> you<00:13:41.854> know,<00:13:42.014> the<00:13:42.143> thing<00:13:42.319> that<00:13:42.464> you're<00:13:42.544> going<00:13:42.624> to<00:13:42.720> probably<00:13:42.993> spend<00:13:44.244> most<00:13:44.484> of<00:13:44.564> your<00:13:44.661> dollars<00:13:44.965> and<00:13:45.045> time<00:13:45.382> on<00:13:45.527> trying<00:13:45.783> to<00:13:46.248> determine.

00:13:46.585 --> 00:13:54.155
And<00:13:47.034> I<00:13:47.066> think<00:13:47.355> we're<00:13:47.467> lucky<00:13:48.237> with<00:13:48.333> some<00:13:48.590> of<00:13:48.638> the<00:13:48.718> things<00:13:48.959> that<00:13:49.071> happened<00:13:49.440> and<00:13:49.921> unlucky<00:13:50.322> in<00:13:50.418> some<00:13:50.658> things<00:13:50.899> too,<00:13:51.220> but<00:13:52.006> overall<00:13:52.406> where<00:13:52.503> we<00:13:52.663> are<00:13:52.743> today,<00:13:53.064> we're<00:13:53.738> super<00:13:53.882> happy.

00:13:54.251 --> 00:14:00.521
And<00:13:54.908> well,<00:13:55.149> those<00:13:55.534> who<00:13:55.630> told<00:13:56.015> you<00:13:56.191> that<00:13:56.432> it<00:13:56.480> would<00:13:56.592> be<00:13:56.736> hard<00:13:56.977> to<00:13:57.057> go<00:13:57.218> into<00:13:57.474> America<00:13:58.452> discounted<00:13:59.238> the<00:13:59.399> value<00:13:59.896> of<00:14:00.024> your<00:14:00.184> accent.

00:14:01.370 --> 00:14:02.770
That<00:14:01.970> helps.

00:14:02.770 --> 00:14:03.170
You<00:14:02.771> think<00:14:02.890> so?

00:14:03.170 --> 00:14:04.130
That<00:14:03.330> helps<00:14:03.650> here.

00:14:04.130 --> 00:14:05.370
Yeah.

00:14:05.370 --> 00:14:06.410
Yeah,<00:14:05.371> for<00:14:05.850> sure.

00:14:06.410 --> 00:14:06.770
Right.

00:14:06.770 --> 00:14:07.950
Have<00:14:07.010> you<00:14:07.170> noticed<00:14:07.470> that?

00:14:07.950 --> 00:14:17.130
Well,<00:14:08.150> it's<00:14:08.290> definitely<00:14:08.689> a<00:14:08.950> differentiator,<00:14:09.930> but<00:14:10.070> at<00:14:10.270> the<00:14:10.570> same,<00:14:11.110> the<00:14:11.370> same<00:14:11.610> way<00:14:11.750> I<00:14:11.790> would<00:14:11.950> say<00:14:12.210> is<00:14:12.890> there<00:14:13.470> was<00:14:13.610> always<00:14:13.830> a<00:14:14.030> query<00:14:14.250> as<00:14:14.530> is<00:14:14.710> this<00:14:14.890> an<00:14:15.010> Australian<00:14:15.410> company<00:14:15.890> or<00:14:16.130> is<00:14:16.250> this<00:14:16.390> a<00:14:16.590> US<00:14:16.709> company?

00:14:17.130 --> 00:14:19.330
And<00:14:17.290> the<00:14:17.370> reality<00:14:17.590> is<00:14:17.990> they're<00:14:18.370> two<00:14:18.550> separate<00:14:18.870> entities.

00:14:19.330 --> 00:14:20.010
Yeah.

00:14:20.010 --> 00:14:29.890
But<00:14:20.450> when<00:14:20.570> you<00:14:20.690> keep<00:14:20.910> hearing<00:14:21.310> an<00:14:21.550> Australian<00:14:21.890> and<00:14:22.210> in<00:14:22.430> fact<00:14:22.630> the<00:14:23.010> head<00:14:23.190> of<00:14:23.330> our<00:14:23.690> ABA<00:14:24.090> business<00:14:24.430> today<00:14:24.790> is,<00:14:25.410> is,<00:14:25.411> is<00:14:25.990> a,<00:14:25.991> is<00:14:26.170> I<00:14:26.310> was<00:14:26.450> going<00:14:26.510> to<00:14:26.550> say<00:14:26.710> a<00:14:26.890> pom,<00:14:27.030> but<00:14:27.190> he's,<00:14:27.670> he's<00:14:27.671> an<00:14:27.850> Englishman<00:14:28.410> as<00:14:28.670> we<00:14:28.870> say<00:14:29.030> in<00:14:29.350> Australia.

00:14:29.890 --> 00:14:37.750
So<00:14:31.547> he,<00:14:32.108> you<00:14:32.140> know,<00:14:32.300> you're<00:14:32.428> hearing<00:14:32.685> from<00:14:32.861> an<00:14:32.893> Australian,<00:14:33.791> you<00:14:33.871> know,<00:14:34.144> someone<00:14:34.352> from<00:14:34.464> the<00:14:34.592> UK<00:14:35.474> that's<00:14:35.650> like,<00:14:36.276> hold<00:14:36.388> on,<00:14:36.532> is<00:14:36.676> this<00:14:36.853> an<00:14:36.933> American<00:14:37.478> company?

00:14:37.815 --> 00:14:38.792
What<00:14:37.943> are<00:14:37.975> we<00:14:38.119> dealing<00:14:38.456> with<00:14:38.632> here?

00:14:39.802 --> 00:14:48.811
But<00:14:39.898> when<00:14:40.219> we<00:14:40.363> can<00:14:40.459> speak,<00:14:41.245> you<00:14:41.277> know,<00:14:41.421> with<00:14:41.582> conviction<00:14:42.143> as<00:14:42.303> to<00:14:42.463> what<00:14:42.624> we're<00:14:42.784> solving<00:14:43.185> for,<00:14:43.425> I<00:14:43.441> think<00:14:43.730> that<00:14:43.890> all<00:14:44.531> you<00:14:44.563> just<00:14:44.691> need<00:14:44.788> somebody<00:14:45.124> to<00:14:45.172> get<00:14:45.349> like<00:14:45.525> a<00:14:45.589> Southern<00:14:46.070> drawl<00:14:46.631> and<00:14:46.791> then<00:14:47.032> you'll<00:14:47.817> have<00:14:47.994> it<00:14:48.138> all<00:14:48.234> figured<00:14:48.619> out.

00:14:48.891 --> 00:14:50.238
I'm<00:14:49.036> not<00:14:49.180> even<00:14:49.308> going<00:14:49.420> to<00:14:49.501> try.

00:14:50.414 --> 00:14:55.736
As<00:14:50.494> much<00:14:50.719> as<00:14:50.799> I've<00:14:50.943> heard<00:14:51.841> various<00:14:52.306> accents<00:14:52.707> here<00:14:52.883> over<00:14:53.107> the<00:14:53.187> years,<00:14:53.604> I<00:14:53.989> will<00:14:54.662> not<00:14:54.871> have<00:14:55.063> a<00:14:55.207> crack<00:14:55.528> at<00:14:55.688> it.

00:14:56.249 --> 00:14:57.195
What<00:14:56.361> do<00:14:56.554> you<00:14:56.714> think?

00:14:58.077 --> 00:15:01.427
How<00:14:58.237> do<00:14:58.269> you<00:14:58.397> think<00:14:58.638> AI<00:14:58.894> is<00:14:59.038> going<00:14:59.119> to<00:14:59.199> change<00:14:59.471> your<00:15:00.016> sector<00:15:00.577> and<00:15:00.738> your<00:15:01.058> company?

00:15:01.764 --> 00:15:05.481
Yeah,<00:15:02.164> it's<00:15:03.206> You<00:15:03.286> see<00:15:03.847> lots<00:15:04.103> spoken<00:15:04.744> about<00:15:05.065> AI.

00:15:05.770 --> 00:15:11.602
A<00:15:05.850> lot<00:15:06.042> of<00:15:06.186> it<00:15:06.347> is<00:15:06.571> rubbish,<00:15:07.372> I<00:15:07.404> think,<00:15:07.805> as<00:15:08.013> a<00:15:08.029> means<00:15:08.413> of<00:15:09.295> just<00:15:09.471> propaganda,<00:15:10.112> trying<00:15:10.432> to<00:15:10.577> push<00:15:11.089> something.

00:15:11.938 --> 00:15:20.975
And<00:15:12.660> I<00:15:12.676> think<00:15:12.996> really<00:15:13.316> in<00:15:13.461> many<00:15:13.701> cases<00:15:14.118> mask<00:15:14.598> the<00:15:14.678> inadequacies<00:15:15.415> of<00:15:15.496> some<00:15:15.736> of<00:15:15.800> the<00:15:15.944> company<00:15:16.361> technology<00:15:16.841> companies<00:15:17.322> around<00:15:17.562> their<00:15:17.723> product<00:15:18.428> roadmap<00:15:18.924> and<00:15:19.149> real<00:15:19.886> evolution<00:15:20.286> and<00:15:20.431> what<00:15:20.511> they<00:15:20.543> need<00:15:20.751> to<00:15:20.831> do.

00:15:21.328 --> 00:15:24.500
And<00:15:21.408> in<00:15:21.488> some<00:15:21.728> cases<00:15:22.209> it's<00:15:22.353> real<00:15:22.610> and<00:15:22.674> it's<00:15:22.834> genuine<00:15:23.090> and<00:15:23.170> it's<00:15:23.395> making<00:15:23.635> a<00:15:23.651> material<00:15:24.132> difference.

00:15:24.612 --> 00:15:35.076
But<00:15:25.253> an<00:15:25.398> organisation<00:15:26.054> like<00:15:26.359> us<00:15:26.519> who<00:15:26.615> has<00:15:27.000> real<00:15:27.256> deep<00:15:27.977> subject<00:15:28.298> matter<00:15:28.522> expertise<00:15:29.259> into<00:15:29.483> the<00:15:29.580> domain<00:15:29.884> that<00:15:29.964> we're<00:15:30.124> operating<00:15:30.541> with,<00:15:30.717> and<00:15:30.845> when<00:15:31.486> we<00:15:31.807> capture<00:15:32.544> almost<00:15:32.800> essentially<00:15:33.585> the<00:15:33.666> entire<00:15:34.050> operations<00:15:34.483> of<00:15:34.611> the<00:15:34.707> business.

00:15:35.332 --> 00:15:45.972
We<00:15:35.588> can<00:15:36.213> use<00:15:36.454> AI<00:15:37.415> for<00:15:37.511> a<00:15:37.672> genuine<00:15:38.313> benefit<00:15:39.018> and<00:15:39.194> real<00:15:39.899> automation<00:15:40.556> and<00:15:40.636> understanding<00:15:41.998> in<00:15:43.200> what<00:15:43.360> processes<00:15:43.985> or<00:15:44.065> practices<00:15:44.706> can<00:15:44.963> gain<00:15:45.203> more<00:15:45.299> efficiency.

00:15:46.084 --> 00:15:47.815
What<00:15:46.245> things<00:15:46.565> can<00:15:46.725> we<00:15:46.805> be<00:15:46.966> more<00:15:47.110> predictive<00:15:47.687> in?

00:15:47.911 --> 00:16:01.054
Yes,<00:15:49.129> but<00:15:50.635> there<00:15:50.875> are—<00:15:51.452> but<00:15:51.597> you<00:15:51.693> need<00:15:51.933> to<00:15:52.109> establish<00:15:52.879> in<00:15:52.975> technology<00:15:53.776> when<00:15:53.920> you're<00:15:54.577> implementing<00:15:55.394> some<00:15:55.763> sort<00:15:55.955> of<00:15:56.083> core<00:15:56.500> operating<00:15:56.917> system,<00:15:57.782> into<00:15:57.943> organization,<00:15:58.728> it<00:15:58.809> has<00:15:59.065> to<00:15:59.225> initially<00:15:59.626> operationalize<00:16:00.380> to<00:16:00.589> begin<00:16:00.893> with.

00:16:01.374 --> 00:16:03.010
Yeah,<00:16:01.791> it<00:16:01.872> needs<00:16:02.032> to<00:16:02.112> be<00:16:02.256> robust<00:16:02.609> to<00:16:02.754> stand.

00:16:03.074 --> 00:16:05.720
Like,<00:16:03.299> you<00:16:03.331> need<00:16:03.555> the<00:16:03.636> foundation<00:16:04.678> and<00:16:04.822> then<00:16:05.063> you<00:16:05.143> can<00:16:05.320> build<00:16:05.544> on<00:16:05.656> it.

00:16:06.266 --> 00:16:09.265
But<00:16:06.362> everyone<00:16:06.907> wants<00:16:07.068> to<00:16:07.228> build<00:16:07.485> this<00:16:07.869> average<00:16:08.431> thing<00:16:08.607> to<00:16:08.768> begin<00:16:09.088> with.

00:16:09.313 --> 00:16:12.632
Not<00:16:09.489> everyone,<00:16:09.794> I<00:16:09.810> shouldn't<00:16:09.986> say<00:16:10.147> that,<00:16:10.596> but<00:16:10.644> there's<00:16:10.852> many<00:16:11.253> iterations,<00:16:11.831> examples<00:16:12.392> of<00:16:12.520> that.

00:16:12.697 --> 00:16:19.753
And<00:16:12.777> then<00:16:12.937> they<00:16:13.017> try<00:16:13.258> to<00:16:13.338> put<00:16:13.450> AI<00:16:13.659> on<00:16:13.964> top,<00:16:14.300> but<00:16:14.461> you're<00:16:14.557> not<00:16:14.781> really<00:16:15.503> fixing<00:16:15.824> the<00:16:15.904> systemic<00:16:16.449> issue<00:16:16.706> that<00:16:16.850> you've<00:16:17.091> established<00:16:17.588> by<00:16:17.764> not<00:16:18.149> building<00:16:18.406> the<00:16:18.534> foundation<00:16:19.095> right<00:16:19.192> to<00:16:19.336> begin<00:16:19.593> with.

00:16:20.154 --> 00:16:26.830
And<00:16:20.234> it<00:16:20.314> takes<00:16:20.635> more<00:16:20.731> time<00:16:21.276> in<00:16:21.357> different<00:16:21.597> verticals<00:16:22.158> and<00:16:22.720> industries,<00:16:23.201> but<00:16:23.490> You've<00:16:23.970> got<00:16:24.030> to<00:16:24.210> start<00:16:24.330> with<00:16:24.470> that<00:16:24.610> layer<00:16:24.910> and<00:16:25.170> then<00:16:25.810> it<00:16:26.030> becomes<00:16:26.330> easy.

00:16:26.830 --> 00:16:33.190
So<00:16:26.990> for<00:16:27.150> us,<00:16:27.430> the<00:16:27.431> journey<00:16:27.710> for<00:16:27.930> us<00:16:28.110> to<00:16:28.630> incorporate<00:16:29.030> AI<00:16:29.290> is<00:16:29.410> going<00:16:29.550> to<00:16:29.590> be<00:16:29.650> fast<00:16:30.150> because<00:16:30.430> the<00:16:30.570> foundation<00:16:31.170> is<00:16:31.450> solid<00:16:31.609> and<00:16:31.790> it's<00:16:31.890> taken<00:16:32.170> many<00:16:32.850> years.

00:16:33.190 --> 00:16:34.310
You<00:16:33.191> have<00:16:33.390> a<00:16:33.490> ton<00:16:33.590> of<00:16:33.810> data.

00:16:34.470 --> 00:16:35.060
Ton<00:16:34.570> of<00:16:34.710> data.

00:16:35.130 --> 00:16:36.710
AI<00:16:35.410> is<00:16:35.570> only<00:16:35.770> as<00:16:35.890> good<00:16:36.030> as<00:16:36.170> the<00:16:36.310> data.

00:16:37.370 --> 00:16:38.850
Anything's<00:16:37.950> only<00:16:38.070> as<00:16:38.230> good<00:16:38.370> as—.

00:16:38.850 --> 00:16:39.690
Yeah,<00:16:39.250> exactly.

00:16:39.690 --> 00:16:41.110
Rubbish<00:16:39.910> in,<00:16:40.150> rubbish<00:16:40.370> out,<00:16:40.830> right?

00:16:41.110 --> 00:16:41.670
It's<00:16:41.111> the<00:16:41.270> same.

00:16:41.730 --> 00:16:44.790
It<00:16:41.770> doesn't<00:16:42.110> change<00:16:42.470> whether<00:16:42.670> you<00:16:42.810> want<00:16:42.930> to<00:16:43.110> speed<00:16:43.190> it<00:16:43.390> up<00:16:43.490> or<00:16:43.650> not<00:16:43.790> speed<00:16:43.970> it<00:16:44.150> up<00:16:44.230> with<00:16:44.390> technology.

00:16:45.910 --> 00:16:50.370
But<00:16:45.930> no,<00:16:46.230> I<00:16:46.231> think<00:16:46.490> internally<00:16:47.270> we<00:16:47.750> already<00:16:48.070> use<00:16:48.350> it<00:16:48.570> like<00:16:48.830> most,<00:16:49.170> I<00:16:49.270> guess<00:16:49.450> most<00:16:49.650> tech<00:16:49.870> companies.

00:16:50.742 --> 00:17:03.093
We're<00:16:50.839> looking<00:16:51.144> to<00:16:51.240> integrate<00:16:51.626> it<00:16:51.658> more<00:16:52.188> with<00:16:52.332> each<00:16:52.509> individual,<00:16:54.115> even<00:16:54.340> as<00:16:54.436> an<00:16:54.517> assistant<00:16:54.998> and<00:16:55.079> just<00:16:55.303> helping<00:16:55.625> with<00:16:55.962> general<00:16:56.749> expediting<00:16:57.327> and<00:16:57.391> that<00:16:57.488> sort<00:16:57.713> of<00:16:58.194> comms<00:16:58.676> or<00:16:58.708> messaging<00:16:59.319> or<00:16:59.415> documentation<00:17:00.218> or<00:17:00.459> analysis,<00:17:01.262> investigation<00:17:02.226> into<00:17:02.467> sort<00:17:02.627> of<00:17:02.708> works.

00:17:04.073 --> 00:17:09.501
But<00:17:04.394> within<00:17:04.619> the<00:17:04.715> actual<00:17:05.374> software<00:17:05.823> itself,<00:17:07.044> yeah,<00:17:07.783> there's<00:17:08.570> heaps<00:17:08.811> of<00:17:08.907> opportunity.

00:17:10.401 --> 00:17:18.656
But<00:17:10.497> you've<00:17:10.722> got<00:17:11.300> the<00:17:11.380> way<00:17:11.525> that<00:17:11.621> we're<00:17:11.782> operating<00:17:12.344> our<00:17:12.424> software<00:17:12.986> is<00:17:13.452> fundamentally<00:17:13.934> we're<00:17:14.014> providing<00:17:14.416> a<00:17:14.496> blueprint<00:17:15.315> for<00:17:15.379> an<00:17:15.460> organisation<00:17:16.423> to<00:17:17.002> run<00:17:17.499> a<00:17:17.628> proficient<00:17:18.126> business<00:17:18.527> in.

00:17:19.892 --> 00:17:21.755
We're<00:17:19.988> basically<00:17:20.599> partnered<00:17:21.097> with<00:17:21.257> them,<00:17:21.563> right?

00:17:21.836 --> 00:17:25.081
It's<00:17:22.045> not,<00:17:22.302> here's<00:17:22.526> the<00:17:22.607> software,<00:17:22.944> go<00:17:23.185> and<00:17:23.330> try<00:17:23.426> and<00:17:23.587> make<00:17:23.764> it<00:17:23.892> work<00:17:24.230> and<00:17:24.471> see<00:17:24.615> how<00:17:24.776> you<00:17:24.872> go.

00:17:25.129 --> 00:17:35.958
So<00:17:25.756> their<00:17:26.077> operational<00:17:26.800> needs<00:17:27.282> and<00:17:27.362> know-how<00:17:27.764> has<00:17:28.230> to<00:17:28.326> be<00:17:28.407> embedded,<00:17:28.889> and<00:17:28.969> then<00:17:29.531> we<00:17:29.612> have<00:17:29.837> to<00:17:29.933> then<00:17:30.078> maximize<00:17:30.897> and<00:17:32.182> through<00:17:32.343> the<00:17:32.488> use<00:17:32.664> of<00:17:33.066> AI<00:17:33.307> and<00:17:33.452> other<00:17:33.773> ML<00:17:34.030> and<00:17:34.191> that<00:17:34.287> sort<00:17:34.448> of<00:17:34.512> stuff<00:17:34.833> to<00:17:35.556> do<00:17:35.621> it<00:17:35.717> better.

00:17:36.263 --> 00:17:36.343
Yeah.

00:17:36.440 --> 00:17:40.505
I<00:17:36.601> don't<00:17:36.761> really<00:17:36.922> understand<00:17:37.324> why<00:17:37.484> people<00:17:37.741> are<00:17:37.966> putting<00:17:38.512> AI<00:17:38.850> in<00:17:39.010> their<00:17:39.316> company<00:17:39.589> name<00:17:40.055> these<00:17:40.296> days.

00:17:40.633 --> 00:17:41.549
It's<00:17:40.842> really<00:17:41.099> interesting.

00:17:41.886 --> 00:17:41.935
Yeah.

00:17:41.983 --> 00:17:44.152
It's<00:17:42.079> like<00:17:42.240> you<00:17:42.368> have<00:17:42.786> a<00:17:42.802> subscription<00:17:43.429> to<00:17:43.509> ChatGPT.

00:17:44.537 --> 00:17:47.478
Does<00:17:44.634> that<00:17:45.019> mean<00:17:45.501> you're<00:17:45.758> like<00:17:46.418> An<00:17:46.707> AI<00:17:47.125> company?

00:17:47.526 --> 00:17:48.056
I<00:17:47.687> don't<00:17:47.847> get<00:17:47.992> it.

00:17:48.474 --> 00:17:49.742
Yeah,<00:17:48.731> it's<00:17:48.972> actually<00:17:49.196> really<00:17:49.373> hard.

00:17:50.481 --> 00:17:53.999
I<00:17:50.497> mean,<00:17:50.610> to<00:17:50.658> be<00:17:50.802> an<00:17:50.883> AI<00:17:51.140> company,<00:17:53.147> almost<00:17:53.485> impossible.

00:17:54.272 --> 00:17:55.412
It's<00:17:54.818> very<00:17:55.155> hard.

00:17:55.476 --> 00:17:56.247
It's<00:17:55.637> very<00:17:55.878> hard.

00:17:56.504 --> 00:18:09.882
And<00:17:56.825> I<00:17:56.841> think,<00:17:57.307> um,<00:17:58.126> and<00:17:58.528> it's<00:17:58.768> super<00:17:59.154> confusing<00:18:00.278> to—<00:18:01.322> I<00:18:01.338> mean,<00:18:02.141> not<00:18:02.302> just<00:18:02.527> to<00:18:02.703> like,<00:18:02.928> you<00:18:02.992> know,<00:18:03.249> those<00:18:03.490> that<00:18:03.603> are<00:18:03.667> experts<00:18:04.149> in<00:18:04.293> the<00:18:04.390> domain<00:18:04.647> or<00:18:04.791> in<00:18:04.936> the<00:18:05.016> domain,<00:18:05.658> but<00:18:05.739> to<00:18:05.851> those<00:18:06.156> that<00:18:06.879> are<00:18:06.959> not<00:18:07.120> in<00:18:07.264> technology,<00:18:07.778> that's<00:18:08.228> absolutely,<00:18:09.031> you<00:18:09.063> know,<00:18:09.224> foreign<00:18:09.690> to<00:18:09.834> them.

00:18:09.963 --> 00:18:10.814
Like,<00:18:10.171> it<00:18:10.332> must<00:18:10.573> be<00:18:10.669> AI.

00:18:11.215 --> 00:18:13.993
And<00:18:11.376> so<00:18:11.681> it's<00:18:12.018> great<00:18:12.323> marketing<00:18:13.206> that<00:18:13.287> doesn't<00:18:13.527> help<00:18:13.864> them.

00:18:14.490 --> 00:18:14.971
Yeah.

00:18:15.453 --> 00:18:22.496
So<00:18:15.613> what's<00:18:15.790> the,<00:18:16.335> you<00:18:16.367> know,<00:18:16.672> like,<00:18:17.458> I<00:18:17.539> think,<00:18:17.859> I<00:18:17.876> think,<00:18:18.357> yeah,<00:18:18.598> technology<00:18:19.143> overall,<00:18:19.544> I<00:18:19.560> think<00:18:19.801> just<00:18:20.026> needs<00:18:20.443> a<00:18:20.507> lot<00:18:20.748> more<00:18:20.924> better<00:18:21.486> ethical<00:18:21.871> regulation.

00:18:22.593 --> 00:18:26.074
And<00:18:22.689> then,<00:18:23.074> you<00:18:23.106> know,<00:18:23.491> I<00:18:23.571> think<00:18:23.732> just<00:18:23.957> overall,<00:18:24.659> I<00:18:24.679> think<00:18:25.192> something<00:18:25.577> that's<00:18:25.802> lacking.

00:18:26.123 --> 00:18:26.235
Yeah.

00:18:26.283 --> 00:18:27.936
The<00:18:26.379> ethics<00:18:26.716> of<00:18:26.845> that<00:18:27.005> is<00:18:27.101> actually<00:18:27.406> really<00:18:27.583> interesting.

00:18:27.984 --> 00:18:28.963
It's<00:18:28.144> interesting<00:18:28.481> you<00:18:28.561> bring<00:18:28.770> that<00:18:28.882> up.

00:18:29.027 --> 00:18:38.541
The<00:18:29.187> ethics<00:18:29.508> of<00:18:29.653> calling<00:18:29.909> yourself<00:18:30.246> an<00:18:30.375> AI<00:18:30.631> company<00:18:31.016> when<00:18:31.193> really<00:18:32.139> all<00:18:32.300> you're<00:18:32.460> doing<00:18:33.038> is<00:18:33.680> feeding<00:18:34.017> something<00:18:34.402> into<00:18:34.642> some<00:18:35.028> AI<00:18:36.391> or<00:18:36.568> OpenAI,<00:18:37.531> you<00:18:37.627> know,<00:18:38.333> thing.

00:18:38.734 --> 00:18:41.269
And<00:18:38.975> like,<00:18:39.312> it's,<00:18:39.665> yeah,<00:18:39.777> it's<00:18:40.098> not<00:18:40.338> really<00:18:40.820> the<00:18:40.900> same<00:18:41.205> thing.

00:18:41.622 --> 00:18:44.368
But<00:18:41.847> it's<00:18:41.943> got<00:18:42.088> to<00:18:42.184> be<00:18:42.264> helping<00:18:42.730> you<00:18:43.549> internally,<00:18:44.272> right?

00:18:44.432 --> 00:18:47.290
Like<00:18:44.593> you<00:18:44.673> said,<00:18:44.834> like<00:18:44.994> it's<00:18:45.075> helping<00:18:45.331> you<00:18:45.412> internally,<00:18:45.861> like<00:18:46.022> with<00:18:46.118> efficiency<00:18:46.600> and<00:18:46.680> things<00:18:46.921> like<00:18:47.082> that.

00:18:47.387 --> 00:18:47.628
Yeah.

00:18:47.724 --> 00:18:55.030
Like<00:18:48.430> where<00:18:48.511> have<00:18:48.671> you<00:18:48.768> noticed<00:18:49.169> the<00:18:49.571> best<00:18:49.972> places<00:18:50.614> and<00:18:50.679> the<00:18:50.775> best<00:18:51.096> areas<00:18:51.497> internally<00:18:52.605> where<00:18:52.782> it's<00:18:52.927> helping<00:18:53.264> you<00:18:53.826> from<00:18:54.067> an<00:18:54.147> efficiency<00:18:54.629> standpoint?

00:18:55.175 --> 00:19:00.457
Yeah,<00:18:55.335> I<00:18:55.431> think,<00:18:56.154> I<00:18:56.234> think<00:18:56.411> it<00:18:56.491> started<00:18:57.198> and<00:18:57.583> we're—<00:18:58.225> we've<00:18:58.338> got<00:18:58.547> a<00:18:58.643> way<00:18:58.804> to<00:18:58.884> go,<00:18:59.109> I<00:18:59.125> think,<00:18:59.285> to<00:18:59.430> become<00:18:59.687> more<00:18:59.783> mature<00:19:00.249> in<00:19:00.393> it.

00:19:00.570 --> 00:19:13.100
But<00:19:00.891> it<00:19:00.955> started<00:19:01.276> definitely<00:19:01.678> more<00:19:01.854> in<00:19:01.935> the<00:19:02.336> engineering<00:19:02.818> department<00:19:03.540> and<00:19:03.685> I<00:19:03.701> think<00:19:03.878> it's<00:19:04.247> sort<00:19:04.424> of<00:19:04.729> crept<00:19:04.921> along<00:19:05.307> now<00:19:05.869> organically<00:19:07.073> into<00:19:08.277> sort<00:19:08.438> of<00:19:08.502> customer<00:19:08.759> success<00:19:09.321> and<00:19:09.450> and<00:19:09.930> product<00:19:10.350> and<00:19:10.830> service<00:19:11.290> and<00:19:11.530> implementation,<00:19:12.230> that<00:19:12.410> sort<00:19:12.570> of<00:19:12.650> domain.

00:19:14.390 --> 00:19:17.610
But<00:19:14.710> it's<00:19:15.130> still<00:19:15.350> even<00:19:15.550> for<00:19:15.810> us,<00:19:16.130> you<00:19:16.190> know,<00:19:16.510> it's<00:19:17.170> new.

00:19:17.610 --> 00:19:21.630
But<00:19:17.790> I<00:19:17.890> would<00:19:18.010> say<00:19:18.250> 100%<00:19:18.830> in<00:19:19.050> the<00:19:19.190> engineering<00:19:19.630> and<00:19:19.930> QA<00:19:20.490> side<00:19:20.830> of<00:19:21.030> things.

00:19:22.770 --> 00:19:25.710
And<00:19:22.810> yeah,<00:19:23.890> and<00:19:24.170> there's<00:19:24.290> still<00:19:24.610> more<00:19:24.830> room<00:19:25.070> for<00:19:25.110> improvement.

00:19:25.810 --> 00:19:25.970
Yeah.

00:19:25.970 --> 00:19:27.890
What<00:19:26.210> does<00:19:26.310> a<00:19:26.470> typical<00:19:26.730> day<00:19:27.010> look<00:19:27.170> like<00:19:27.370> for<00:19:27.550> you?

00:19:27.890 --> 00:19:28.690
Yeah,<00:19:28.190> right.

00:19:28.690 --> 00:19:33.390
Well,<00:19:29.230> I<00:19:29.650> work<00:19:29.830> across<00:19:30.150> 3<00:19:30.510> time<00:19:30.790> zones,<00:19:31.190> so<00:19:31.550> that<00:19:31.670> doesn't—<00:19:32.390> it's<00:19:32.391> not<00:19:32.550> always<00:19:32.790> great.

00:19:34.210 --> 00:19:35.590
Do<00:19:34.510> you<00:19:34.550> know<00:19:34.670> what<00:19:34.790> time<00:19:34.890> it<00:19:34.990> is<00:19:35.110> right<00:19:35.310> now?

00:19:35.590 --> 00:19:37.150
I<00:19:36.030> think<00:19:36.230> it's<00:19:36.370> about<00:19:36.670> midday.

00:19:37.150 --> 00:19:37.670
Yeah.

00:19:37.670 --> 00:19:37.670
Yeah.

00:19:37.670 --> 00:19:42.530
I've<00:19:39.430> been<00:19:41.350> I'm<00:19:41.398> on<00:19:41.430> a<00:19:41.447> bit<00:19:41.544> of<00:19:41.641> an<00:19:41.705> adventure<00:19:42.094> this<00:19:42.223> morning.

00:19:42.595 --> 00:19:43.339
For<00:19:42.757> sure.

00:19:44.051 --> 00:19:47.577
Got<00:19:44.293> a<00:19:44.374> great<00:19:45.652> leader<00:19:45.927> following<00:19:46.380> me<00:19:46.477> and<00:19:46.655> I'm<00:19:46.784> following<00:19:47.124> him<00:19:47.205> around.

00:19:49.954 --> 00:19:57.700
So<00:19:51.194> yeah,<00:19:51.387> so<00:19:51.613> typical<00:19:52.015> day<00:19:52.192> is<00:19:52.837> normally<00:19:53.143> start<00:19:53.400> around<00:19:53.610> 5<00:19:54.173> and<00:19:54.914> start<00:19:55.139> with<00:19:55.220> the<00:19:55.301> US<00:19:56.830> when<00:19:56.927> I'm<00:19:57.008> in<00:19:57.072> Australia,<00:19:57.410> this<00:19:57.636> is.

00:19:57.974 --> 00:19:58.199
Yeah.

00:19:58.763 --> 00:20:15.355
And<00:19:59.150> then<00:19:59.830> once<00:19:59.992> those<00:20:00.236> sort<00:20:00.641> of<00:20:00.722> engagements<00:20:01.273> have<00:20:01.354> finished,<00:20:02.667> start<00:20:02.910> with<00:20:03.786> the—<00:20:03.883> continue<00:20:04.207> on<00:20:04.272> with<00:20:04.353> sort<00:20:04.531> of,<00:20:06.250> sort<00:20:06.493> of<00:20:06.558> typical<00:20:07.833> management<00:20:08.234> meetings<00:20:08.555> and<00:20:08.619> so<00:20:08.796> forth<00:20:09.181> early<00:20:09.277> in<00:20:09.357> the<00:20:09.421> morning,<00:20:10.143> setting<00:20:10.319> the<00:20:10.400> frame<00:20:10.704> of<00:20:10.817> the<00:20:10.865> day<00:20:11.041> and<00:20:11.185> that<00:20:11.234> sort<00:20:11.442> of<00:20:11.522> stuff,<00:20:12.308> or<00:20:12.709> week<00:20:12.966> or<00:20:13.062> month<00:20:13.367> or<00:20:13.447> whatever<00:20:13.687> the<00:20:13.768> period<00:20:14.088> is<00:20:14.233> for<00:20:14.409> it<00:20:14.810> related<00:20:15.131> to.

00:20:16.654 --> 00:20:22.043
And<00:20:16.815> then,<00:20:18.018> and<00:20:18.162> then<00:20:18.755> a<00:20:18.884> chunk<00:20:19.221> between<00:20:19.686> is<00:20:20.022> whatever,<00:20:21.065> whatever<00:20:21.450> it<00:20:21.546> is,<00:20:21.787> right?

00:20:22.107 --> 00:20:23.246
So,<00:20:22.524> so<00:20:22.733> there's<00:20:23.134> that.

00:20:23.294 --> 00:20:25.058
And<00:20:23.455> then<00:20:23.952> in<00:20:24.016> the<00:20:24.112> evening<00:20:24.369> it's<00:20:24.577> the<00:20:24.738> UK.

00:20:25.540 --> 00:20:29.533
So,<00:20:26.502> and<00:20:26.839> catching<00:20:27.159> up<00:20:27.320> with,<00:20:27.625> with,<00:20:28.026> you<00:20:28.058> know,<00:20:28.603> that<00:20:28.763> aspect<00:20:29.100> of<00:20:29.164> the<00:20:29.244> business.

00:20:29.966 --> 00:20:30.736
What<00:20:30.062> do<00:20:30.110> you<00:20:30.207> do<00:20:30.287> for<00:20:30.447> fun?

00:20:30.832 --> 00:20:32.179
How<00:20:30.928> do<00:20:30.993> you<00:20:31.105> stay<00:20:31.394> grounded<00:20:31.875> and<00:20:31.971> sane?

00:20:32.757 --> 00:20:34.665
Oh,<00:20:33.254> so<00:20:33.960> yes,<00:20:34.200> good<00:20:34.361> question.

00:20:34.922 --> 00:20:35.579
Very<00:20:35.098> important.

00:20:37.103 --> 00:20:39.106
Family's<00:20:37.664> obviously<00:20:38.305> very<00:20:38.465> important<00:20:38.930> to<00:20:38.962> me.

00:20:40.293 --> 00:20:41.415
Faith's<00:20:40.549> very<00:20:40.790> important<00:20:41.174> to<00:20:41.254> me.

00:20:42.393 --> 00:20:45.486
And<00:20:42.473> so<00:20:43.835> Sunday<00:20:44.220> is<00:20:44.316> reserved<00:20:44.717> for<00:20:45.278> church.

00:20:45.903 --> 00:20:46.720
Yeah.

00:20:47.346 --> 00:21:00.233
Reflection,<00:20:48.163> time<00:20:48.420> with<00:20:48.532> the<00:20:48.628> family,<00:20:49.830> understanding<00:20:50.247> what<00:20:50.359> the<00:20:50.407> values,<00:20:50.792> importance<00:20:51.353> are<00:20:51.449> in<00:20:51.593> life<00:20:51.930> and<00:20:51.994> all<00:20:52.026> this<00:20:52.267> stuff,<00:20:52.651> and<00:20:53.036> giving<00:20:53.196> a<00:20:53.212> little<00:20:53.453> time<00:20:53.854> to<00:20:54.479> reflect<00:20:56.082> and<00:20:56.418> make<00:20:56.579> sure<00:20:56.755> that<00:20:56.851> I'm,<00:20:57.524> you<00:20:57.556> know,<00:20:58.085> on<00:20:58.166> the<00:20:58.246> right<00:20:58.422> pathway,<00:20:58.823> doing<00:20:58.983> the<00:20:59.063> right<00:20:59.304> thing<00:20:59.560> in<00:20:59.688> the<00:20:59.769> community.

00:21:00.490 --> 00:21:06.055
And<00:21:00.666> then<00:21:01.179> Saturday<00:21:02.093> is<00:21:02.253> reserved<00:21:02.590> for<00:21:03.776> I<00:21:03.937> do<00:21:04.113> typically<00:21:04.499> a<00:21:04.579> little<00:21:04.755> bit<00:21:04.900> of<00:21:04.932> work<00:21:05.638> in<00:21:05.702> the<00:21:05.783> morning.

00:21:06.136 --> 00:21:11.448
I've<00:21:06.264> slowed<00:21:06.601> right<00:21:06.826> down<00:21:07.002> though,<00:21:07.388> like<00:21:07.709> nothing<00:21:08.110> to<00:21:08.286> where<00:21:08.912> the<00:21:09.169> early<00:21:09.394> days,<00:21:09.731> like<00:21:09.956> it<00:21:09.988> was,<00:21:10.517> you<00:21:10.550> know,<00:21:10.598> it<00:21:10.678> was<00:21:10.855> every<00:21:11.015> day,<00:21:11.256> right?

00:21:12.604 --> 00:21:19.361
And<00:21:13.728> then<00:21:14.305> it's<00:21:14.707> basically,<00:21:15.413> yeah,<00:21:16.151> try<00:21:16.376> and—<00:21:17.018> the<00:21:17.098> kids<00:21:17.275> and<00:21:17.419> I<00:21:17.532> now,<00:21:18.157> they<00:21:18.302> wanted<00:21:18.462> to<00:21:18.495> start<00:21:18.783> learning<00:21:19.040> golf.

00:21:19.618 --> 00:21:22.491
So<00:21:19.746> I<00:21:19.859> thought,<00:21:20.148> well,<00:21:20.340> I'll<00:21:20.806> play<00:21:21.031> golf<00:21:21.271> with<00:21:21.352> them<00:21:21.528> too<00:21:21.689> because<00:21:21.801> I<00:21:21.833> don't<00:21:21.945> mind<00:21:22.250> golf.

00:21:22.571 --> 00:21:27.820
And<00:21:22.652> so<00:21:22.812> we<00:21:22.908> might<00:21:23.133> go<00:21:23.294> all<00:21:23.599> out,<00:21:24.176> all<00:21:24.241> 4<00:21:24.497> of<00:21:24.562> us<00:21:24.642> will<00:21:24.722> go<00:21:25.139> have<00:21:25.300> a<00:21:25.364> round<00:21:26.006> or<00:21:26.744> just<00:21:26.905> go<00:21:27.065> to<00:21:27.162> a<00:21:27.242> driving<00:21:27.611> range.

00:21:27.868 --> 00:21:33.212
So<00:21:28.012> that's,<00:21:28.494> you<00:21:28.526> know,<00:21:28.606> something<00:21:28.895> like<00:21:28.992> that<00:21:29.152> together<00:21:29.714> or<00:21:30.099> just,<00:21:30.340> you<00:21:30.436> know,<00:21:30.677> just<00:21:30.837> catching<00:21:31.239> up<00:21:31.319> with<00:21:31.479> family<00:21:32.041> and<00:21:32.506> that<00:21:32.683> sort<00:21:32.843> of<00:21:32.875> stuff.

00:21:33.389 --> 00:21:38.105
I<00:21:33.421> don't,<00:21:33.966> I<00:21:33.982> don't<00:21:34.367> really<00:21:34.592> do—<00:21:36.035> if<00:21:36.132> I<00:21:36.212> do<00:21:36.372> something,<00:21:36.709> it<00:21:36.773> has<00:21:36.950> to<00:21:37.014> be<00:21:37.174> done<00:21:37.399> with<00:21:37.880> others.

00:21:38.377 --> 00:21:40.623
I<00:21:38.458> won't<00:21:38.618> go<00:21:38.778> do<00:21:38.875> something<00:21:39.244> for<00:21:39.372> myself,<00:21:40.126> like<00:21:40.286> just<00:21:40.463> me.

00:21:40.848 --> 00:21:42.067
Yeah,<00:21:41.104> that's<00:21:41.345> not<00:21:41.489> how<00:21:41.586> I<00:21:41.810> operate.

00:21:42.147 --> 00:21:45.805
And<00:21:42.789> I<00:21:42.853> get<00:21:43.013> satisfaction<00:21:43.655> out<00:21:43.751> of<00:21:44.249> seeing<00:21:44.473> everyone<00:21:44.794> else's<00:21:45.115> enjoyment.

00:21:45.981 --> 00:21:49.911
And<00:21:46.029> so,<00:21:46.863> and<00:21:46.959> just,<00:21:47.344> yeah,<00:21:47.505> just<00:21:47.762> being<00:21:47.922> with,<00:21:48.323> being<00:21:48.564> with<00:21:48.724> good<00:21:48.884> people<00:21:49.285> and<00:21:49.366> yeah.

00:21:50.232 --> 00:21:51.130
Yeah,<00:21:50.713> that's<00:21:50.809> awesome.

00:21:51.194 --> 00:21:51.772
That's<00:21:51.371> it<00:21:51.515> really.

00:21:52.109 --> 00:21:52.734
What<00:21:52.189> do<00:21:52.253> you<00:21:52.413> read?

00:21:52.895 --> 00:21:54.675
Like<00:21:53.055> what<00:21:53.280> reading<00:21:53.520> recommendations<00:21:54.034> would<00:21:54.162> you<00:21:54.258> have<00:21:54.403> for<00:21:54.563> us?

00:21:54.739 --> 00:21:57.996
And<00:21:54.788> I'm<00:21:54.900> not<00:21:55.044> talking<00:21:55.221> just<00:21:55.365> like<00:21:55.525> business<00:21:55.766> stuff,<00:21:56.023> like<00:21:56.119> I'm<00:21:56.328> just<00:21:56.825> generally<00:21:57.306> curious.

00:21:58.285 --> 00:21:59.584
I<00:21:58.349> try<00:21:58.573> to<00:21:58.653> read<00:21:58.750> the<00:21:58.830> Bible<00:21:59.247> a<00:21:59.311> lot.

00:21:59.680 --> 00:22:00.980
That's<00:22:00.180> a<00:22:00.300> good<00:22:00.440> one.

00:22:00.980 --> 00:22:03.360
Yeah,<00:22:00.981> that<00:22:01.100> tries<00:22:01.360> to<00:22:01.820> try<00:22:01.821> to<00:22:02.180> try<00:22:02.500> to<00:22:02.560> get<00:22:02.680> some<00:22:02.820> wisdom.

00:22:03.360 --> 00:22:05.720
I<00:22:03.780> think<00:22:03.880> that's<00:22:04.080> all<00:22:04.240> our—<00:22:04.560> should<00:22:04.561> be<00:22:04.740> all<00:22:04.920> our<00:22:05.140> number<00:22:05.340> one<00:22:05.560> goal.

00:22:05.720 --> 00:22:07.040
I<00:22:05.880> think<00:22:05.960> that<00:22:06.140> might<00:22:06.280> be<00:22:06.440> the<00:22:06.640> best.

00:22:07.420 --> 00:22:12.310
But<00:22:07.900> yeah,<00:22:08.200> it<00:22:08.560> should<00:22:08.680> be<00:22:08.820> at<00:22:09.000> the<00:22:09.020> top<00:22:09.360> if<00:22:10.160> that's,<00:22:10.600> that's<00:22:11.140> what<00:22:11.260> you<00:22:11.400> believe<00:22:11.660> in.

00:22:13.100 --> 00:22:14.930
So<00:22:13.340> yeah,<00:22:13.460> that's<00:22:13.660> definitely<00:22:14.020> up<00:22:14.280> there.

00:22:15.420 --> 00:22:18.680
I<00:22:16.080> will,<00:22:16.900> you<00:22:17.000> know,<00:22:17.100> listen<00:22:17.300> to<00:22:17.560> several<00:22:17.880> podcasts.

00:22:18.960 --> 00:22:21.820
I<00:22:18.980> like<00:22:19.080> learning<00:22:19.360> about<00:22:19.660> just<00:22:20.020> the<00:22:20.280> dynamics<00:22:20.640> of<00:22:20.900> the<00:22:21.060> world<00:22:21.180> and<00:22:21.260> what's<00:22:21.420> going<00:22:21.620> on.

00:22:21.820 --> 00:22:26.300
My<00:22:21.920> wife<00:22:22.200> is<00:22:22.460> particular,<00:22:23.420> loves<00:22:23.940> particularly<00:22:24.860> US<00:22:25.160> stuff,<00:22:25.520> related<00:22:25.820> stuff.

00:22:26.300 --> 00:22:29.420
So,<00:22:26.420> so<00:22:26.540> I'm<00:22:26.740> always<00:22:26.920> listening<00:22:27.180> to<00:22:27.340> her<00:22:27.500> and<00:22:27.600> then<00:22:27.760> following<00:22:28.000> in<00:22:28.280> and<00:22:28.320> seeing<00:22:28.500> what's<00:22:28.860> going<00:22:29.120> on<00:22:29.380> there.

00:22:29.670 --> 00:22:32.990
Like<00:22:30.170> culture,<00:22:30.930> like<00:22:30.931> celebrity<00:22:31.310> stuff<00:22:31.690> or<00:22:32.170> politics?

00:22:32.990 --> 00:22:33.110
Politics.

00:22:33.110 --> 00:22:39.090
I<00:22:33.111> say<00:22:33.330> culture,<00:22:33.830> politics,<00:22:34.350> or<00:22:34.351> even<00:22:34.510> just—<00:22:34.950> I<00:22:34.951> say<00:22:35.210> politics,<00:22:35.790> but<00:22:35.810> really<00:22:36.070> what<00:22:36.270> I<00:22:36.410> think<00:22:36.530> we're<00:22:36.650> talking<00:22:36.810> about<00:22:37.010> is<00:22:37.130> just<00:22:37.390> the<00:22:37.629> way<00:22:37.770> the<00:22:37.890> world's<00:22:38.190> evolving,<00:22:38.870> right?

00:22:39.090 --> 00:22:39.750
Yeah,<00:22:39.130> yeah,<00:22:39.310> yeah,<00:22:39.490> yeah.

00:22:39.750 --> 00:22:44.420
So,<00:22:40.270> um,<00:22:40.970> probably<00:22:41.050> gets<00:22:41.330> categorized<00:22:41.910> into<00:22:42.110> politics,<00:22:42.710> but<00:22:42.750> really<00:22:42.990> at<00:22:43.090> the<00:22:43.170> end<00:22:43.370> of<00:22:43.390> the<00:22:43.391> day<00:22:43.450> it's<00:22:43.590> more<00:22:43.770> about<00:22:44.070> that.

00:22:44.930 --> 00:22:50.010
Um,<00:22:45.150> uh,<00:22:45.850> and<00:22:45.969> then<00:22:46.130> how<00:22:46.270> does<00:22:46.430> that,<00:22:46.910> how<00:22:47.110> does<00:22:47.270> that<00:22:47.410> align<00:22:47.690> with,<00:22:48.190> you<00:22:48.310> know,<00:22:48.950> our<00:22:49.070> faith<00:22:49.310> and<00:22:49.410> that<00:22:49.530> sort<00:22:49.630> of<00:22:49.830> stuff?

00:22:50.010 --> 00:22:53.710
So<00:22:50.130> like,<00:22:50.390> where's<00:22:50.490> the<00:22:50.610> conflict<00:22:51.030> happening<00:22:51.430> and,<00:22:51.930> and<00:22:52.110> how<00:22:52.230> do<00:22:52.330> we<00:22:52.390> raise<00:22:52.610> good<00:22:52.810> children,<00:22:53.430> you<00:22:53.590> know?

00:22:53.710 --> 00:22:54.190
Yeah.

00:22:54.250 --> 00:22:55.450
Um,<00:22:54.650> and,<00:22:54.730> and<00:22:54.790> be<00:22:54.970> part<00:22:55.130> of<00:22:55.250> that.

00:22:55.450 --> 00:22:56.130
So<00:22:55.470> there's<00:22:55.710> that.

00:22:56.130 --> 00:22:58.700
Um,<00:22:56.460> Like<00:22:56.960> to<00:22:57.100> do,<00:22:57.900> yeah,<00:22:57.901> various<00:22:58.140> books.

00:22:58.700 --> 00:23:02.120
Like<00:22:58.701> to<00:22:58.800> learn<00:22:59.000> about<00:22:59.440> economics,<00:23:01.020> psychology.

00:23:02.140 --> 00:23:04.910
Definitely<00:23:02.380> one<00:23:02.640> of<00:23:02.720> my<00:23:02.880> things<00:23:03.120> that<00:23:03.300> I<00:23:03.360> probably<00:23:03.540> spent<00:23:03.740> a<00:23:03.860> long<00:23:04.080> time<00:23:04.360> learning.

00:23:05.480 --> 00:23:08.570
If<00:23:05.500> you're<00:23:05.700> raising<00:23:06.000> any<00:23:06.280> sort<00:23:06.420> of<00:23:06.700> company,<00:23:07.320> better<00:23:07.400> start<00:23:07.620> learning<00:23:07.840> about<00:23:08.020> people.

00:23:08.860 --> 00:23:12.290
Otherwise<00:23:08.880> you're<00:23:09.340> gonna<00:23:09.680> run<00:23:10.120> yourself<00:23:10.600> into<00:23:10.820> a<00:23:10.960> few<00:23:11.100> struggles<00:23:11.560> and<00:23:11.740> problems.

00:23:12.600 --> 00:23:16.480
But<00:23:12.659> I'll<00:23:12.860> understand<00:23:13.120> how<00:23:13.280> this<00:23:13.400> thing<00:23:13.580> works<00:23:13.880> a<00:23:14.020> bit<00:23:14.180> more<00:23:14.560> and<00:23:15.660> what<00:23:15.780> makes<00:23:16.000> up<00:23:16.180> people.

00:23:16.480 --> 00:23:20.620
And<00:23:16.481> because<00:23:16.700> it<00:23:16.900> becomes<00:23:17.200> just<00:23:17.460> a<00:23:17.500> lot<00:23:17.640> more<00:23:17.840> easier<00:23:18.120> to<00:23:18.320> understand<00:23:18.660> and<00:23:18.840> help<00:23:18.960> people<00:23:19.180> navigate<00:23:19.600> through<00:23:19.880> either<00:23:20.060> their<00:23:20.140> problems.

00:23:20.620 --> 00:23:22.412
And<00:23:20.621> then<00:23:20.800> sometimes<00:23:21.020> it<00:23:21.180> will<00:23:21.340> work<00:23:21.580> and<00:23:21.740> sometimes<00:23:22.040> it<00:23:22.060> it<00:23:22.172> won't.

00:23:22.557 --> 00:23:25.813
So<00:23:23.134> definitely,<00:23:23.599> yeah,<00:23:23.792> psychology,<00:23:24.321> economics,<00:23:24.979> not<00:23:25.139> really<00:23:25.300> technology.

00:23:25.861 --> 00:23:27.850
I<00:23:25.942> think<00:23:26.118> I<00:23:26.182> spend<00:23:26.439> enough<00:23:26.744> of<00:23:26.808> that<00:23:27.257> during<00:23:27.433> the<00:23:27.530> week.

00:23:28.171 --> 00:23:35.021
Um,<00:23:29.134> and,<00:23:29.792> and<00:23:29.936> just<00:23:30.417> learning<00:23:30.738> from<00:23:30.898> the<00:23:30.995> past,<00:23:31.556> you<00:23:31.620> know,<00:23:31.717> historical<00:23:32.278> books,<00:23:32.920> documentaries,<00:23:33.706> that<00:23:33.802> sort<00:23:33.898> of<00:23:33.978> stuff,<00:23:34.299> if<00:23:34.444> I<00:23:34.524> get<00:23:34.700> time.

00:23:35.246 --> 00:23:36.336
Yeah,<00:23:36.032> I<00:23:36.048> love<00:23:36.208> it.

00:23:36.513 --> 00:23:37.235
Yeah,<00:23:36.770> that's<00:23:36.994> great.

00:23:37.427 --> 00:23:37.588
Yeah.

00:23:38.037 --> 00:23:41.759
Uh,<00:23:38.759> how<00:23:38.935> do<00:23:39.080> you<00:23:39.160> think<00:23:39.753> about<00:23:40.299> the<00:23:40.379> United<00:23:40.844> States<00:23:41.341> and<00:23:41.422> Australia?

00:23:41.807 --> 00:23:53.664
Like,<00:23:41.983> I<00:23:42.144> asked<00:23:42.320> this<00:23:42.529> question,<00:23:42.946> I<00:23:42.962> don't<00:23:43.266> know<00:23:43.491> when<00:23:43.667> this<00:23:43.892> will<00:23:43.988> go<00:23:44.149> live,<00:23:44.470> but<00:23:44.614> we're<00:23:44.774> like—<00:23:45.111> and<00:23:45.256> I<00:23:45.272> don't—<00:23:45.737> you<00:23:45.785> don't<00:23:45.913> need<00:23:46.026> to<00:23:46.138> comment<00:23:46.539> on<00:23:47.020> any<00:23:47.213> of<00:23:47.501> what<00:23:47.614> I'm<00:23:47.774> about<00:23:48.063> to<00:23:48.143> say,<00:23:48.480> but,<00:23:48.785> uh,<00:23:49.266> We<00:23:49.346> have<00:23:49.443> a<00:23:49.507> presidential<00:23:49.924> election,<00:23:50.165> I<00:23:50.245> think,<00:23:50.390> in<00:23:50.422> like<00:23:50.630> 18<00:23:51.048> days,<00:23:52.011> which<00:23:52.476> like<00:23:52.733> is<00:23:52.829> a<00:23:52.974> big<00:23:53.214> deal<00:23:53.439> for<00:23:53.600> us.

00:23:53.712 --> 00:23:55.542
Is<00:23:53.856> it<00:23:53.937> a<00:23:54.017> big<00:23:54.258> deal<00:23:54.579> in<00:23:54.659> Australia?

00:23:55.863 --> 00:23:56.151
It<00:23:56.007> is.

00:23:56.681 --> 00:23:57.114
Oh<00:23:56.906> yes.

00:23:57.307 --> 00:24:01.849
You<00:23:57.452> would<00:23:57.628> not<00:23:58.174> believe<00:23:59.153> the<00:23:59.313> amount<00:24:00.100> of—<00:24:00.597> and<00:24:00.742> I<00:24:00.758> don't,<00:24:01.063> and<00:24:01.143> I<00:24:01.304> don't<00:24:01.544> watch<00:24:01.801> it.

00:24:02.267 --> 00:24:02.443
Sure.

00:24:02.523 --> 00:24:03.133
Because<00:24:02.668> I<00:24:02.828> can't.

00:24:03.342 --> 00:24:04.096
It's<00:24:03.551> just<00:24:03.727> too<00:24:03.823> much.

00:24:04.193 --> 00:24:04.802
Yeah,<00:24:04.257> you're<00:24:04.449> smart.

00:24:05.075 --> 00:24:07.226
It<00:24:05.172> is<00:24:05.396> on<00:24:05.717> TV<00:24:06.761> all<00:24:06.857> the<00:24:06.937> time.

00:24:07.724 --> 00:24:12.956
Everything<00:24:08.045> that<00:24:08.205> happens<00:24:08.542> here,<00:24:09.088> you<00:24:09.120> know,<00:24:09.425> at<00:24:09.730> least<00:24:09.987> a<00:24:10.051> summary<00:24:10.613> of<00:24:10.789> it<00:24:11.271> is<00:24:11.415> publicized<00:24:12.153> in<00:24:12.250> Australia.

00:24:13.598 --> 00:24:13.887
What<00:24:13.758> is—.

00:24:14.400 --> 00:24:19.115
What<00:24:14.497> are<00:24:15.042> What<00:24:15.202> is<00:24:15.363> Australians'<00:24:16.004> views<00:24:16.421> of<00:24:16.870> us<00:24:17.207> in<00:24:17.287> the<00:24:17.351> United<00:24:17.624> States<00:24:18.089> and<00:24:18.169> our<00:24:18.329> political<00:24:18.794> system?

00:24:19.211 --> 00:24:20.141
It's<00:24:19.676> a<00:24:19.692> good<00:24:19.805> question.

00:24:20.590 --> 00:24:21.616
It's<00:24:20.735> going<00:24:20.831> to<00:24:20.959> range,<00:24:21.360> right?

00:24:21.921 --> 00:24:22.098
Yeah.

00:24:22.226 --> 00:24:27.357
Well,<00:24:23.044> I<00:24:23.140> think<00:24:23.380> one<00:24:23.605> thing<00:24:23.781> probably<00:24:24.102> everyone<00:24:24.567> will<00:24:24.679> agree<00:24:25.064> on<00:24:25.224> is<00:24:25.385> it's<00:24:26.427> very<00:24:26.571> much<00:24:26.812> polarized.

00:24:27.453 --> 00:24:31.510
So<00:24:28.415> yeah,<00:24:28.876> so<00:24:28.896> there's<00:24:29.153> definitely—<00:24:29.650> I'm<00:24:29.859> sure<00:24:30.259> most<00:24:30.580> Australians<00:24:30.997> would<00:24:31.141> say<00:24:31.382> that.

00:24:32.745 --> 00:24:40.073
And<00:24:32.825> I<00:24:32.841> think<00:24:33.082> that's—<00:24:33.466> I<00:24:33.498> think<00:24:33.707> that's<00:24:33.883> had<00:24:34.044> a<00:24:34.060> major<00:24:34.364> influence<00:24:34.926> on<00:24:35.070> the<00:24:35.102> Australian<00:24:35.487> community<00:24:35.968> because<00:24:36.513> I<00:24:36.609> see<00:24:37.315> that<00:24:37.812> affecting<00:24:38.357> us<00:24:38.534> as<00:24:38.614> a<00:24:38.630> means<00:24:38.870> of<00:24:38.934> polarization<00:24:39.736> as<00:24:39.961> well.

00:24:40.442 --> 00:24:40.971
Interesting.

00:24:41.259 --> 00:24:42.125
Which<00:24:41.436> I'm<00:24:41.660> not<00:24:41.805> happy<00:24:42.045> with.

00:24:42.526 --> 00:24:43.600
Yeah,<00:24:42.767> we're<00:24:43.007> exporting<00:24:43.488> that.

00:24:43.744 --> 00:24:44.305
That<00:24:43.841> sucks.

00:24:45.427 --> 00:24:45.876
Mm-hmm.

00:24:45.988 --> 00:24:51.422
I<00:24:46.004> mean,<00:24:46.646> so<00:24:46.854> you've<00:24:46.998> been<00:24:47.094> amazing<00:24:48.553> in<00:24:48.633> the<00:24:48.858> early<00:24:49.258> years<00:24:49.499> of<00:24:49.611> this,<00:24:50.236> of<00:24:50.397> this<00:24:50.637> beautiful<00:24:51.038> country.

00:24:51.759 --> 00:24:53.699
Been<00:24:51.855> amazing<00:24:52.400> in<00:24:52.480> influencing<00:24:52.945> people<00:24:53.202> in<00:24:53.282> the<00:24:53.362> right<00:24:53.602> way.

00:24:54.067 --> 00:24:55.863
Fortunately,<00:24:54.404> we've<00:24:54.564> lost<00:24:54.805> our<00:24:54.965> path<00:24:55.285> a<00:24:55.366> bit,<00:24:55.430> haven't<00:24:55.766> we?

00:24:56.167 --> 00:25:02.595
And<00:24:57.273> yeah,<00:24:57.994> I<00:24:58.091> can't<00:24:58.299> even<00:24:58.411> imagine<00:24:59.517> what<00:24:59.677> it<00:24:59.758> would<00:24:59.918> be<00:25:00.014> like<00:25:00.239> to<00:25:00.319> like,<00:25:00.495> those<00:25:00.832> are<00:25:00.912> the<00:25:01.056> two<00:25:01.361> candidates<00:25:01.922> that<00:25:02.098> they<00:25:02.258> chose.

00:25:02.883 --> 00:25:03.765
That's<00:25:03.124> who<00:25:03.220> they're<00:25:03.364> picking<00:25:03.621> from.

00:25:03.845 --> 00:25:06.009
Do<00:25:03.877> you<00:25:04.021> like,<00:25:04.663> do<00:25:04.727> you<00:25:04.775> like<00:25:04.983> have<00:25:05.208> those<00:25:05.384> like<00:25:05.544> moments?

00:25:06.250 --> 00:25:09.439
Yeah,<00:25:06.907> I,<00:25:07.131> as<00:25:07.291> Americans,<00:25:08.333> we<00:25:08.494> all<00:25:08.654> have<00:25:08.830> those<00:25:09.055> like,<00:25:09.295> what?

00:25:09.794 --> 00:25:10.293
Those<00:25:09.971> are<00:25:10.035> the<00:25:10.180> two.

00:25:10.599 --> 00:25:11.696
But<00:25:10.712> that's<00:25:10.922> every<00:25:11.164> 4<00:25:11.405> years.

00:25:11.792 --> 00:25:19.322
But<00:25:11.905> in<00:25:11.970> particular,<00:25:12.453> it<00:25:12.485> must<00:25:12.776> be<00:25:13.082> odd<00:25:14.146> in<00:25:14.371> this<00:25:14.726> era<00:25:15.596> that<00:25:16.225> who<00:25:16.483> we're<00:25:16.708> putting<00:25:17.031> up<00:25:17.224> and<00:25:17.434> who<00:25:17.595> we<00:25:17.692> might<00:25:17.934> elect<00:25:18.434> is<00:25:18.515> like<00:25:18.725> pretty<00:25:18.903> wild.

00:25:19.548 --> 00:25:20.323
It<00:25:19.629> actually<00:25:19.871> is<00:25:20.016> crazy.

00:25:20.743 --> 00:25:21.001
Yeah.

00:25:21.227 --> 00:25:25.085
I<00:25:21.259> mean,<00:25:21.405> the<00:25:21.485> last,<00:25:22.438> you<00:25:22.535> know,<00:25:23.084> 8,<00:25:23.503> 10<00:25:23.745> years<00:25:23.971> has<00:25:24.133> been,<00:25:24.310> I<00:25:24.391> think,<00:25:24.698> crazy.

00:25:26.732 --> 00:25:29.208
I<00:25:27.363> also—<00:25:27.784> I<00:25:27.946> don't—<00:25:28.606> I<00:25:28.626> don't<00:25:29.079> know.

00:25:29.387 --> 00:25:30.714
And<00:25:29.435> I'm<00:25:29.743> no<00:25:30.034> expert<00:25:30.293> on<00:25:30.439> politics.

00:25:30.860 --> 00:25:31.507
Let's<00:25:31.167> call<00:25:31.329> that<00:25:31.442> out.

00:25:31.588 --> 00:25:31.766
Right.

00:25:31.879 --> 00:25:32.171
Me<00:25:31.912> neither.

00:25:32.235 --> 00:25:32.462
Yeah.

00:25:32.640 --> 00:25:35.295
But<00:25:33.207> it's<00:25:33.369> interesting<00:25:33.838> here<00:25:34.113> is<00:25:34.259> that<00:25:34.340> it's<00:25:34.566> a<00:25:34.647> 4-year<00:25:35.084> tenure.

00:25:35.470 --> 00:25:36.730
It's<00:25:35.850> not<00:25:36.070> in<00:25:36.270> Australia.

00:25:36.730 --> 00:25:37.790
What<00:25:36.930> is<00:25:37.090> it<00:25:37.250> in<00:25:37.390> Australia?

00:25:37.830 --> 00:25:39.720
You<00:25:37.930> can<00:25:38.070> keep<00:25:38.250> getting<00:25:38.550> reelected<00:25:38.970> indefinitely.

00:25:39.950 --> 00:25:41.310
Oh,<00:25:40.290> I<00:25:40.510> don't<00:25:40.630> like<00:25:40.790> that.

00:25:41.310 --> 00:25:49.250
We<00:25:41.410> see<00:25:41.550> you<00:25:41.710> say<00:25:41.930> that,<00:25:42.900> but<00:25:43.550> I<00:25:44.310> think<00:25:44.490> as<00:25:44.750> a<00:25:45.190> business<00:25:45.430> owner<00:25:45.690> and<00:25:45.850> entrepreneur,<00:25:46.730> oh,<00:25:47.250> how<00:25:47.490> much<00:25:47.510> can<00:25:47.710> I<00:25:47.850> affect<00:25:48.230> in<00:25:48.490> 4<00:25:48.650> years?

00:25:49.290 --> 00:25:52.830
Whereas<00:25:49.430> how<00:25:49.590> much<00:25:49.790> can—<00:25:50.190> or<00:25:50.191> 8<00:25:50.330> years—<00:25:50.770> and<00:25:50.830> how<00:25:50.950> much<00:25:51.090> can<00:25:51.250> I<00:25:51.410> affect<00:25:51.670> over<00:25:51.970> 10,<00:25:52.350> 20?

00:25:52.830 --> 00:25:55.330
The<00:25:53.070> predictability<00:25:53.650> of<00:25:53.970> that<00:25:54.150> is<00:25:54.350> probably<00:25:54.590> pretty<00:25:54.830> good.

00:25:55.330 --> 00:25:55.990
Mm-hmm.

00:25:55.990 --> 00:25:56.390
Right.

00:25:56.390 --> 00:25:57.910
Like,<00:25:56.650> you<00:25:56.730> know<00:25:57.070> what<00:25:57.230> you're<00:25:57.450> going<00:25:57.451> to<00:25:57.630> get.

00:25:57.910 --> 00:26:00.750
And<00:25:58.150> as<00:25:58.230> long<00:25:58.370> as<00:25:58.550> things<00:25:58.650> are<00:25:58.750> going<00:25:58.910> well,<00:25:59.110> that<00:25:59.350> is<00:25:59.510> kind<00:25:59.750> of<00:25:59.850> interesting,<00:26:00.210> actually.

00:26:00.750 --> 00:26:02.850
I<00:26:00.930> don't<00:26:01.030> know<00:26:01.250> whether—<00:26:01.950> whether—<00:26:01.951> where<00:26:02.010> the<00:26:02.130> right<00:26:02.350> or<00:26:02.610> wrong<00:26:02.611> is.

00:26:02.850 --> 00:26:05.410
I<00:26:03.050> don't<00:26:03.150> know<00:26:03.250> that<00:26:03.370> we've<00:26:03.590> ever<00:26:03.770> had<00:26:03.890> a<00:26:04.070> president<00:26:04.290> we'd<00:26:04.590> want<00:26:04.710> more<00:26:04.970> than<00:26:05.110> 8<00:26:05.310> years.

00:26:05.410 --> 00:26:05.450
Yeah.

00:26:07.310 --> 00:26:09.510
I'm<00:26:07.810> just<00:26:07.950> speaking<00:26:08.310> on<00:26:08.570> behalf<00:26:08.750> of<00:26:08.890> America.

00:26:09.510 --> 00:26:11.750
Oh<00:26:09.590> yeah,<00:26:11.110> no<00:26:11.290> comment.

00:26:11.750 --> 00:26:12.590
I<00:26:11.770> have<00:26:11.970> no<00:26:12.090> idea.

00:26:12.610 --> 00:26:13.310
I'm<00:26:12.630> not<00:26:12.750> a<00:26:12.910> citizen.

00:26:13.810 --> 00:26:18.030
But,<00:26:13.850> um,<00:26:14.610> but<00:26:14.770> we've<00:26:14.970> had<00:26:15.270> prime<00:26:15.530> ministers<00:26:15.810> in<00:26:16.010> Australia,<00:26:16.550> I<00:26:16.610> think<00:26:16.950> they've<00:26:17.290> had<00:26:17.550> 20.

00:26:18.030 --> 00:26:18.770
Wow.

00:26:18.770 --> 00:26:24.290
Uh,<00:26:19.370> now<00:26:19.470> look,<00:26:19.630> like<00:26:19.790> I<00:26:19.870> said,<00:26:19.970> I'm<00:26:20.090> not<00:26:20.210> an<00:26:20.230> expert,<00:26:20.650> but<00:26:20.750> I'm<00:26:21.150> sure<00:26:21.470> there<00:26:21.650> was<00:26:21.770> one<00:26:21.950> that<00:26:22.270> was,<00:26:22.630> yeah,<00:26:22.890> just<00:26:23.170> over<00:26:23.410> 20<00:26:23.650> years.

00:26:24.290 --> 00:26:25.250
That's<00:26:24.610> wild.

00:26:25.250 --> 00:26:27.930
There's<00:26:25.610> definitely<00:26:25.870> ones<00:26:26.150> more<00:26:26.330> recently<00:26:26.570> been<00:26:26.790> 12,<00:26:27.450> you<00:26:27.510> know.

00:26:27.930 --> 00:26:41.350
So,<00:26:28.270> um,<00:26:28.750> so<00:26:28.930> yeah,<00:26:29.230> like,<00:26:29.790> um,<00:26:30.430> and,<00:26:30.790> and<00:26:31.010> the<00:26:31.410> country<00:26:31.750> was,<00:26:32.350> you<00:26:32.351> know,<00:26:33.390> Australians<00:26:33.610> are<00:26:33.770> probably<00:26:33.910> going<00:26:34.030> to<00:26:34.110> knock<00:26:34.210> me<00:26:34.370> up<00:26:34.510> now,<00:26:34.830> but<00:26:34.950> I<00:26:35.090> think<00:26:35.170> there<00:26:35.310> was<00:26:35.450> in<00:26:35.650> many<00:26:36.210> times<00:26:36.490> it<00:26:36.610> was<00:26:36.670> not<00:26:36.910> like<00:26:36.950> it<00:26:36.970> was<00:26:36.990> an<00:26:37.010> unreasonable<00:26:37.030> state,<00:26:37.050> otherwise<00:26:37.070> I<00:26:37.090> don't<00:26:38.870> I<00:26:38.910> don't<00:26:38.911> think<00:26:38.912> those<00:26:39.030> people<00:26:39.210> would<00:26:39.310> have<00:26:39.410> been<00:26:39.630> reelected,<00:26:40.070> you<00:26:40.150> know,<00:26:40.250> for<00:26:40.350> the<00:26:40.450> most<00:26:40.710> part.

00:26:41.620 --> 00:26:46.410
But<00:26:42.170> I<00:26:42.290> think<00:26:42.370> it<00:26:42.510> did<00:26:42.670> give<00:26:42.830> stability<00:26:43.390> to<00:26:43.850> the<00:26:44.070> country<00:26:44.430> and<00:26:44.610> structure<00:26:44.970> and<00:26:45.170> order<00:26:45.390> and<00:26:45.570> at<00:26:45.830> least<00:26:45.831> the<00:26:46.030> pathway.

00:26:46.410 --> 00:26:48.890
And<00:26:46.530> if<00:26:46.531> you<00:26:46.670> didn't<00:26:46.710> agree<00:26:46.909> with<00:26:47.070> that,<00:26:47.390> then<00:26:47.430> okay,<00:26:47.730> fine,<00:26:48.150> you<00:26:48.230> change.

00:26:48.890 --> 00:26:49.310
Yeah.

00:26:49.310 --> 00:26:50.010
Change<00:26:49.311> who<00:26:49.490> you<00:26:49.570> want<00:26:49.670> to<00:26:49.770> vote<00:26:49.910> for.

00:26:50.010 --> 00:26:59.690
There<00:26:50.250> is<00:26:50.430> something<00:26:50.690> about<00:26:50.970> predictability<00:26:51.590> because<00:26:51.870> right<00:26:52.130> now<00:26:52.290> we're<00:26:52.390> in<00:26:52.530> this,<00:26:53.310> at<00:26:53.450> least<00:26:53.550> in<00:26:53.750> the<00:26:53.850> United<00:26:53.990> States,<00:26:54.370> where<00:26:54.710> we<00:26:55.070> don't<00:26:55.270> know<00:26:55.630> what's<00:26:55.930> going<00:26:55.990> to<00:26:56.270> happen<00:26:56.670> next<00:26:57.170> year<00:26:57.550> until<00:26:57.850> that<00:26:58.410> thing<00:26:58.650> gets<00:26:58.890> sorted<00:26:59.130> out.

00:26:59.690 --> 00:27:11.111
How<00:26:59.730> much—<00:27:00.530> away<00:27:00.531> from<00:27:00.690> the<00:27:00.830> politics—<00:27:01.410> how<00:27:01.490> much<00:27:01.690> do<00:27:01.830> you<00:27:01.930> look<00:27:02.150> at<00:27:02.310> like<00:27:02.450> our<00:27:02.650> markets<00:27:03.230> and<00:27:03.930> what's<00:27:04.470> happening<00:27:04.730> in<00:27:04.950> the<00:27:05.130> stock<00:27:05.310> market<00:27:05.810> here<00:27:06.390> versus,<00:27:06.830> you<00:27:07.070> know,<00:27:07.590> the<00:27:07.890> economy<00:27:08.410> there<00:27:08.810> or<00:27:08.850> like<00:27:09.716> Are<00:27:09.796> they,<00:27:10.037> are<00:27:10.117> they<00:27:10.310> mirroring<00:27:10.775> each<00:27:10.999> other?

00:27:11.256 --> 00:27:11.833
Are<00:27:11.352> they<00:27:11.480> like—.

00:27:12.138 --> 00:27:13.805
Well,<00:27:12.474> our<00:27:12.555> stock<00:27:12.923> market<00:27:13.180> is<00:27:13.356> terrible.

00:27:14.142 --> 00:27:18.825
It's,<00:27:14.768> you<00:27:14.800> know,<00:27:15.569> um,<00:27:16.227> basically<00:27:16.772> it's,<00:27:17.045> it's<00:27:17.269> in<00:27:17.365> a—<00:27:17.734> yeah,<00:27:17.814> it's<00:27:18.167> mostly<00:27:18.472> in<00:27:18.616> a<00:27:18.696> rut.

00:27:19.274 --> 00:27:20.621
I<00:27:19.338> think<00:27:19.530> it's<00:27:19.674> only—<00:27:19.931> it's<00:27:20.075> because<00:27:20.332> of<00:27:20.476> this.

00:27:20.877 --> 00:27:22.497
It's<00:27:21.037> 100%<00:27:21.342> because<00:27:21.615> of<00:27:21.759> the<00:27:21.823> influence<00:27:22.304> here.

00:27:22.785 --> 00:27:23.411
Oh,<00:27:22.866> interesting.

00:27:24.148 --> 00:27:31.092
And<00:27:24.565> we<00:27:24.646> don't<00:27:24.806> know<00:27:24.950> what's<00:27:25.127> happening<00:27:25.592> economically,<00:27:26.490> so<00:27:26.634> people<00:27:26.891> get<00:27:27.227> scared<00:27:27.516> and<00:27:27.676> they<00:27:27.772> put<00:27:27.997> their,<00:27:28.574> obviously,<00:27:28.879> investments<00:27:29.456> into<00:27:29.713> more<00:27:29.937> secure<00:27:30.723> assets.

00:27:31.204 --> 00:27:33.032
And,<00:27:31.685> um,<00:27:32.439> do<00:27:32.583> I<00:27:32.663> look<00:27:32.888> here?

00:27:33.144 --> 00:27:38.436
Yeah,<00:27:33.385> look<00:27:33.609> here<00:27:33.690> a<00:27:33.706> little<00:27:33.946> bit,<00:27:34.107> but<00:27:34.572> I<00:27:34.732> just<00:27:34.973> generally<00:27:35.389> don't<00:27:35.630> understand<00:27:36.512> this<00:27:36.736> fiat<00:27:36.977> system<00:27:37.458> that<00:27:37.619> you<00:27:37.699> have<00:27:38.019> here<00:27:38.132> today.

00:27:38.677 --> 00:27:44.819
So,<00:27:40.024> oh,<00:27:40.505> if<00:27:40.922> you<00:27:41.067> call<00:27:41.323> it<00:27:41.403> a<00:27:41.467> system,<00:27:42.189> I<00:27:42.285> don't<00:27:42.510> understand<00:27:43.167> how<00:27:43.408> it's<00:27:43.649> even—<00:27:44.595> Yes.

00:27:45.092 --> 00:27:49.310
I<00:27:45.108> mean,<00:27:45.316> I<00:27:45.413> do<00:27:45.573> understand<00:27:46.198> it,<00:27:46.439> but<00:27:46.535> I<00:27:46.615> just<00:27:46.856> genuinely<00:27:47.337> don't<00:27:47.738> believe<00:27:48.139> it<00:27:48.219> still<00:27:48.476> exists<00:27:48.941> like<00:27:49.165> this.

00:27:49.566 --> 00:27:52.902
I<00:27:49.727> think—<00:27:49.983> I<00:27:49.999> know<00:27:50.224> I<00:27:50.304> won't<00:27:50.528> get<00:27:50.625> into<00:27:50.865> too<00:27:51.026> much<00:27:51.346> more<00:27:51.491> than<00:27:51.587> that<00:27:51.747> if<00:27:51.828> you<00:27:51.892> don't<00:27:52.052> want<00:27:52.212> to,<00:27:52.309> but<00:27:52.694> that's—.

00:27:53.191 --> 00:27:53.768
No,<00:27:53.351> I<00:27:53.495> want<00:27:53.672> to.

00:27:53.976 --> 00:27:54.313
Oh,<00:27:54.137> you<00:27:54.169> do?

00:27:54.393 --> 00:27:54.554
Okay.

00:27:55.580 --> 00:27:58.772
I<00:27:55.757> think<00:27:56.142> I<00:27:56.879> find<00:27:57.441> that<00:27:57.665> absolutely<00:27:58.098> fascinating.

00:28:00.006 --> 00:28:03.471
And<00:28:00.151> I<00:28:00.167> don't<00:28:00.423> know<00:28:00.889> whether<00:28:01.193> crypto's<00:28:02.075> helped<00:28:02.492> or<00:28:02.572> not<00:28:02.813> helped<00:28:03.198> with<00:28:03.374> it.

00:28:03.519 --> 00:28:05.058
I<00:28:03.727> don't<00:28:04.176> have<00:28:04.337> a<00:28:04.417> perspective<00:28:04.898> on<00:28:04.978> it.

00:28:05.138 --> 00:28:06.309
I<00:28:05.154> don't<00:28:05.363> think<00:28:05.427> I<00:28:05.443> have<00:28:05.539> enough<00:28:05.796> education.

00:28:06.726 --> 00:28:07.656
Or<00:28:06.758> knowledge<00:28:07.223> to<00:28:07.303> know<00:28:07.464> that.

00:28:07.784 --> 00:28:10.991
But<00:28:08.105> I<00:28:08.185> definitely<00:28:08.586> think<00:28:08.890> the<00:28:09.067> way<00:28:09.291> it's<00:28:09.371> structured<00:28:09.949> today<00:28:10.269> can't<00:28:10.590> be<00:28:10.670> right.

00:28:11.167 --> 00:28:11.921
No,<00:28:11.536> it's<00:28:11.776> not.

00:28:12.033 --> 00:28:12.658
There's<00:28:12.273> no<00:28:12.434> way.

00:28:12.738 --> 00:28:16.346
Like,<00:28:12.979> we're<00:28:13.716> trillions<00:28:14.261> and<00:28:14.342> trillions<00:28:14.758> and<00:28:14.839> trillions<00:28:15.255> of<00:28:15.384> dollars<00:28:15.801> in<00:28:15.961> debt.

00:28:16.747 --> 00:28:24.587
We're<00:28:17.244> doing<00:28:17.468> all<00:28:17.564> sorts<00:28:17.885> of<00:28:17.965> crazy<00:28:18.366> things,<00:28:18.927> and<00:28:19.809> we're<00:28:19.953> supposed<00:28:20.194> to<00:28:20.274> be<00:28:20.370> the<00:28:20.450> richest<00:28:20.835> nation,<00:28:21.412> but<00:28:21.508> it<00:28:21.588> seems<00:28:21.877> like<00:28:21.989> the<00:28:22.118> dollar's,<00:28:22.935> you<00:28:23.096> know,<00:28:23.496> getting<00:28:23.737> less<00:28:23.897> and<00:28:24.041> less<00:28:24.218> value.

00:28:25.100 --> 00:28:28.034
You're<00:28:25.180> seeing—<00:28:25.645> but<00:28:25.741> yeah,<00:28:25.981> anyways,<00:28:26.607> I<00:28:26.687> could<00:28:26.783> go<00:28:26.847> on<00:28:27.088> forever.

00:28:28.146 --> 00:28:35.216
But<00:28:28.370> the<00:28:28.466> Bitcoin<00:28:28.867> stuff<00:28:29.044> is<00:28:29.188> interesting,<00:28:30.294> and<00:28:30.390> crypto<00:28:30.855> is<00:28:31.016> interesting<00:28:31.513> because<00:28:32.154> that<00:28:32.314> means<00:28:32.555> there's<00:28:32.731> no<00:28:32.956> longer<00:28:33.196> nations<00:28:33.693> if<00:28:33.821> that<00:28:33.982> wins,<00:28:34.463> which<00:28:34.575> is<00:28:34.703> kind<00:28:34.864> of<00:28:34.944> wild.

00:28:35.505 --> 00:28:35.729
Yeah.

00:28:36.308 --> 00:28:40.067
Yeah,<00:28:37.432> I<00:28:37.513> hate<00:28:37.673> when<00:28:37.770> they<00:28:37.850> say<00:28:37.995> it<00:28:38.091> out<00:28:38.171> loud,<00:28:38.493> actually,<00:28:38.766> because<00:28:38.911> I'm<00:28:38.991> like,<00:28:39.135> you<00:28:39.280> can't<00:28:39.457> say<00:28:39.617> that<00:28:39.778> yet.

00:28:40.292 --> 00:28:42.156
Like,<00:28:41.048> you<00:28:41.128> got<00:28:41.369> to<00:28:41.546> calm<00:28:41.851> down.

00:28:42.654 --> 00:28:44.341
I<00:28:42.976> can't<00:28:43.152> say<00:28:43.313> you're<00:28:43.393> taking<00:28:43.618> down<00:28:43.795> governments.

00:28:44.534 --> 00:28:47.426
No,<00:28:44.920> they're<00:28:45.177> going<00:28:45.321> to<00:28:45.803> take<00:28:46.028> you<00:28:46.125> down<00:28:46.350> before<00:28:46.768> it<00:28:46.848> gets<00:28:47.009> too<00:28:47.169> big.

00:28:47.876 --> 00:28:51.781
Yeah,<00:28:48.519> I<00:28:48.615> guess<00:28:48.856> this<00:28:49.515> depends<00:28:49.820> on<00:28:49.965> how<00:28:50.142> we<00:28:50.302> want<00:28:51.025> the<00:28:51.090> world<00:28:51.266> to<00:28:51.411> operate.

00:28:52.311 --> 00:28:57.420
Like,<00:28:52.488> I<00:28:52.552> think,<00:28:53.050> I<00:28:53.114> think<00:28:53.339> having<00:28:53.821> like<00:28:53.982> the<00:28:54.014> state<00:28:54.319> system<00:28:54.866> here<00:28:55.203> is,<00:28:55.749> I<00:28:55.781> think,<00:28:55.990> is<00:28:56.087> a<00:28:56.167> good<00:28:56.408> thing<00:28:56.520> for<00:28:56.874> this<00:28:57.035> country.

00:28:58.497 --> 00:29:05.781
It<00:28:58.657> means<00:28:58.979> that<00:28:59.300> there's,<00:28:59.879> I<00:28:59.943> think,<00:29:00.409> better<00:29:00.746> use<00:29:01.212> of<00:29:01.373> the<00:29:01.453> funding<00:29:02.432> an<00:29:02.576> understanding<00:29:03.153> of<00:29:03.297> what<00:29:03.634> the<00:29:03.778> community<00:29:04.259> wants<00:29:04.515> to<00:29:04.611> go<00:29:04.675> and<00:29:04.836> establish<00:29:05.316> and<00:29:05.460> create.

00:29:06.438 --> 00:29:06.887
And<00:29:06.518> I<00:29:06.598> guess<00:29:06.774> I'm—.

00:29:06.887 --> 00:29:09.627
It's<00:29:07.159> cool<00:29:07.399> we've<00:29:07.720> made<00:29:08.040> that<00:29:08.601> perception<00:29:09.306> for<00:29:09.402> you.

00:29:09.803 --> 00:29:13.152
Well,<00:29:09.947> I<00:29:10.043> think,<00:29:10.348> I<00:29:10.428> think,<00:29:10.748> yeah,<00:29:11.149> well,<00:29:11.806> I<00:29:11.870> don't<00:29:12.366> think<00:29:12.543> it's<00:29:12.687> actually<00:29:12.991> true.

00:29:13.328 --> 00:29:16.613
Well,<00:29:14.353> it<00:29:14.690> appears<00:29:15.074> to<00:29:15.154> be<00:29:15.267> more<00:29:15.491> true,<00:29:15.972> but<00:29:16.597> I—.

00:29:16.629 --> 00:29:18.856
Meaning<00:29:17.013> like<00:29:17.334> we<00:29:17.494> don't—<00:29:17.814> we're<00:29:17.894> not<00:29:18.055> good<00:29:18.215> at<00:29:18.247> managing<00:29:18.680> money.

00:29:19.080 --> 00:29:20.715
The<00:29:19.176> state<00:29:19.497> system<00:29:19.833> is<00:29:19.977> awesome,<00:29:20.602> right?

00:29:20.763 --> 00:29:25.185
Because,<00:29:21.339> you<00:29:21.420> know,<00:29:21.580> you<00:29:21.724> can—<00:29:22.060> if<00:29:22.141> you<00:29:22.221> don't<00:29:22.381> like<00:29:22.621> one<00:29:22.798> state,<00:29:23.102> you<00:29:23.166> can<00:29:23.262> go<00:29:23.406> to<00:29:23.503> another<00:29:23.807> one<00:29:23.919> and<00:29:24.063> it<00:29:24.159> is<00:29:24.368> drastically<00:29:24.864> different.

00:29:25.489 --> 00:29:25.682
Yeah.

00:29:26.146 --> 00:29:27.813
Whereas<00:29:26.387> in<00:29:26.707> Australia<00:29:27.444> it's<00:29:27.604> not.

00:29:27.973 --> 00:29:28.534
That<00:29:28.133> is<00:29:28.374> really—.

00:29:28.550 --> 00:29:29.575
It's<00:29:28.694> very<00:29:28.870> similar,<00:29:29.351> right?

00:29:30.057 --> 00:29:38.838
I<00:29:30.073> mean,<00:29:30.538> yeah,<00:29:30.779> there's<00:29:30.988> some—<00:29:31.518> well,<00:29:31.758> I<00:29:31.839> don't<00:29:32.063> even<00:29:32.240> know<00:29:32.385> what<00:29:32.481> things<00:29:32.738> I<00:29:32.786> would<00:29:32.898> say<00:29:33.123> that<00:29:33.219> I'm,<00:29:33.990> you<00:29:34.022> know,<00:29:34.102> majorly—<00:29:34.488> I<00:29:34.552> think<00:29:34.712> it's<00:29:34.889> more<00:29:35.130> the,<00:29:36.157> the,<00:29:36.575> you<00:29:36.639> know,<00:29:36.880> the<00:29:37.538> environment,<00:29:38.164> like<00:29:38.341> different<00:29:38.582> weather.

00:29:39.384 --> 00:29:43.398
Yeah,<00:29:40.010> maybe<00:29:40.203> some<00:29:40.428> different<00:29:40.604> opportunities<00:29:41.455> work-wise,<00:29:42.033> but<00:29:42.435> for<00:29:42.499> the<00:29:42.531> most<00:29:42.756> part<00:29:42.981> it's<00:29:43.141> the<00:29:43.221> same.

00:29:43.864 --> 00:29:44.024
Yeah.

00:29:44.185 --> 00:29:46.673
Rural<00:29:44.522> Texas<00:29:45.084> is<00:29:45.228> a<00:29:45.405> lot<00:29:45.710> different<00:29:46.031> than<00:29:46.191> Seattle.

00:29:47.074 --> 00:29:47.331
Yeah.

00:29:47.572 --> 00:29:47.749
Okay.

00:29:48.359 --> 00:29:48.776
Yes.

00:29:49.017 --> 00:29:56.129
Well,<00:29:49.884> those<00:29:50.141> people<00:29:50.446> either<00:29:50.767> actually,<00:29:51.088> but<00:29:51.265> those<00:29:51.506> people<00:29:51.907> would<00:29:52.067> not,<00:29:52.950> you<00:29:53.031> know,<00:29:53.496> like<00:29:53.753> they<00:29:54.556> both<00:29:54.877> would<00:29:55.021> get<00:29:55.262> more<00:29:55.599> along<00:29:55.921> with<00:29:56.065> you.

00:29:56.402 --> 00:29:56.931
Than<00:29:56.562> each<00:29:56.723> other.

00:29:57.188 --> 00:29:57.749
Yeah,<00:29:57.605> right.

00:29:57.845 --> 00:29:58.294
Entirely.

00:29:58.631 --> 00:29:58.807
Yeah.

00:29:58.904 --> 00:29:59.224
Okay.

00:29:59.449 --> 00:30:00.507
Some<00:29:59.609> sort<00:29:59.786> of<00:29:59.850> like<00:30:00.010> the<00:30:00.090> hybrid.

00:30:00.892 --> 00:30:02.769
What<00:30:00.956> I'm<00:30:01.117> saying<00:30:01.309> is<00:30:01.373> we're<00:30:01.454> on<00:30:01.534> the<00:30:01.614> verge<00:30:01.854> of<00:30:01.886> civil<00:30:02.239> war,<00:30:02.432> my<00:30:02.640> friend.

00:30:02.817 --> 00:30:04.388
No,<00:30:02.881> I'm<00:30:03.057> just<00:30:03.923> kidding.

00:30:04.661 --> 00:30:06.730
Oh,<00:30:05.062> I<00:30:06.104> hope<00:30:06.345> not.

00:30:06.842 --> 00:30:08.317
Oh,<00:30:07.628> gosh.

00:30:08.895 --> 00:30:09.103
All<00:30:08.991> right.

00:30:09.151 --> 00:30:11.829
Finally,<00:30:10.514> we<00:30:10.675> end<00:30:10.819> every<00:30:10.979> interview<00:30:11.236> with<00:30:11.316> this<00:30:11.476> question.

00:30:12.182 --> 00:30:12.423
Okay.

00:30:12.583 --> 00:30:17.651
And<00:30:12.679> that<00:30:12.920> is,<00:30:13.160> at<00:30:13.305> CEO.com,<00:30:13.946> we<00:30:14.042> believe<00:30:14.283> the<00:30:14.363> chances<00:30:14.828> one<00:30:15.149> gives<00:30:15.870> is<00:30:15.967> just<00:30:16.095> as<00:30:16.207> important<00:30:16.528> as<00:30:16.608> the<00:30:16.688> chances<00:30:17.073> one<00:30:17.169> takes.

00:30:18.372 --> 00:30:21.275
When<00:30:18.613> you<00:30:18.837> hear<00:30:18.998> that,<00:30:19.238> who<00:30:19.415> gave<00:30:19.639> you<00:30:19.735> a<00:30:19.751> chance<00:30:20.120> to<00:30:20.200> get<00:30:20.361> you<00:30:20.457> to<00:30:20.521> where<00:30:20.681> you<00:30:20.858> are<00:30:21.002> today?

00:30:21.804 --> 00:30:23.634
Oh,<00:30:22.558> It's<00:30:22.622> a<00:30:22.767> great<00:30:23.168> question.

00:30:23.987 --> 00:30:25.833
You<00:30:24.067> go<00:30:24.308> back,<00:30:24.709> I<00:30:24.725> think<00:30:25.014> I<00:30:25.030> have<00:30:25.255> to<00:30:25.351> go<00:30:25.576> back.

00:30:26.218 --> 00:30:29.445
I'll<00:30:26.475> have<00:30:26.636> to<00:30:26.780> say,<00:30:27.679> without<00:30:27.920> getting<00:30:28.145> too<00:30:28.241> emotional,<00:30:28.964> my<00:30:29.108> family.

00:30:29.526 --> 00:30:38.629
I<00:30:29.622> think<00:30:29.782> fundamentally,<00:30:30.874> uh,<00:30:32.014> my<00:30:32.159> grandparents,<00:30:32.881> uh,<00:30:33.218> who<00:30:33.379> made<00:30:33.620> the,<00:30:34.005> the<00:30:34.101> journey<00:30:34.422> to<00:30:34.567> go<00:30:34.679> across<00:30:34.984> from<00:30:35.161> Italy<00:30:35.466> to<00:30:35.626> Australia,<00:30:36.525> starting<00:30:36.975> a,<00:30:37.216> you<00:30:37.248> know,<00:30:37.617> absolutely<00:30:38.099> foreign<00:30:38.500> country.

00:30:38.677 --> 00:30:42.096
I<00:30:38.693> mean,<00:30:38.821> it<00:30:38.853> would<00:30:38.982> seem<00:30:39.624> absolutely<00:30:40.346> ridiculous<00:30:40.908> today<00:30:41.326> to<00:30:41.470> consider<00:30:42.064> it.

00:30:42.193 --> 00:30:51.085
Um,<00:30:43.172> then<00:30:43.252> my<00:30:43.333> parents,<00:30:44.119> uh,<00:30:44.601> my<00:30:44.697> dad<00:30:44.874> was<00:30:45.018> a<00:30:45.099> big<00:30:45.259> influence,<00:30:45.644> my<00:30:45.676> mum<00:30:45.821> was<00:30:45.917> a<00:30:45.982> big<00:30:46.142> influence,<00:30:46.800> affording<00:30:47.137> me<00:30:47.250> the<00:30:47.330> opportunities<00:30:48.293> and<00:30:49.176> enabling<00:30:49.674> my<00:30:50.235> entrepreneurial<00:30:50.797> spirit.

00:30:51.422 --> 00:30:54.262
And<00:30:51.583> I<00:30:51.856> think<00:30:52.064> without<00:30:52.321> that,<00:30:52.545> I<00:30:52.562> don't<00:30:52.786> think<00:30:52.963> I<00:30:53.043> would<00:30:53.155> have<00:30:53.284> taken<00:30:53.588> the<00:30:53.685> next<00:30:53.909> steps.

00:30:55.514 --> 00:31:03.263
And,<00:30:56.557> and<00:30:56.717> whilst<00:30:56.926> I'm—<00:30:57.615> I<00:30:57.696> was<00:30:57.840> probably<00:30:58.049> a<00:30:58.065> little<00:30:58.177> bit<00:30:58.337> more<00:30:58.883> out<00:30:59.075> there<00:30:59.284> compared<00:30:59.621> to<00:30:59.701> them,<00:31:00.263> but<00:31:00.423> they<00:31:00.519> set<00:31:00.808> the<00:31:00.888> right<00:31:01.065> foundations<00:31:01.627> and<00:31:01.771> principles<00:31:02.284> in<00:31:02.365> me<00:31:02.653> which<00:31:02.830> enabled<00:31:03.231> it.

00:31:03.311 --> 00:31:05.814
I<00:31:03.456> think<00:31:03.776> that's—<00:31:04.081> that<00:31:04.194> was<00:31:04.354> the<00:31:04.402> major<00:31:04.739> thing<00:31:05.477> I<00:31:05.541> would<00:31:05.702> say.

00:31:06.424 --> 00:31:07.691
