The 25 years behind Zeligate
Denver Naidoo founded Zeligate in 2023. He would tell you the company took a quarter century to build.
"What seems like Zeligate, which has been established over the past year and a half, was actually 24, 25 years in the making," Naidoo said on the CEO.com Podcast.
He got his first computer, a Commodore 64, in 1988, and wanted the gadgets he saw in James Bond movies. Then came DOS and floppy drives, a career writing software in Delphi and C, and two decades as an architect and senior technology leader. In 2016 he started reading about a research lab called OpenAI, back when large language models lived in papers. In 2022 he got early access to the models the public would come to know as ChatGPT.
The other half of the idea came from starting an IT professional services business. Before Naidoo and his partners could sell anything, they had to build finance, sales, marketing, HR, legal, and compliance. He began to wonder how much more efficient a business would be if an AI workforce handled the tedious work. Now he had the technology to find out.
Zeligate's product is Zeli, AI assistants with faces and voices, trained for specific jobs. The company leads with a hiring assistant. Zeli reads resumes, scores candidates, runs pre-screening interviews on video, and calls references. A hiring manager can ask why a candidate scored 95 and get an answer. She can also tell Zeli to dial the reference and put her on the call.
In his experience, a typical role draws about 250 resumes. "There are not too many people who can tell you that they are physically doing due diligence by reading every single resume," Naidoo said on the CEO.com Podcast. Recruiters skim. Candidates who write plain resumes or freeze in interviews disappear.
Zeligate uses its own product to hire, and one hire has become Naidoo's standard example. The candidate spoke English as a second language and had been rejected everywhere. He offered to work for free. The pre-screening interview showed what the resume had not: when the questions turned technical, he answered fluently. Zeligate hired him, at full pay. On his first day he stayed late, then mentioned he had to be home by 7:00 for Uber Eats. A few days later, same thing. Naidoo finally asked whether ordering Uber Eats every night got expensive. The developer explained that he drove for Uber Eats because, until Zeligate, nobody would hire him.
Naidoo's co-founder, Sam Naidoo, worked as an organizational psychologist before becoming Zeligate's Head of People and Culture, and the product reflects her training. Zeli does not pick who gets hired. "I'm still making the decision as a human," Naidoo said. "I'm still in control."
At the time of the conversation, Zeligate ran on 12 people. Naidoo credits the product. His developers use Zeli to write and test code. When he complimented his product owner on how fast he delivered, the product owner admitted Zeli reviewed everything before he submitted it.
Naidoo builds from the Gold Coast, better known for surf and theme parks than software. He argues Australia is a good place to start a company. The government supports exporters, Australians will try new software, and the market is small enough to prove a business before crossing the ocean. Atlassian and Canva came out of the same ecosystem. Australian investors, he said, do more due diligence and place fewer bets on ideas alone. Zeligate raised $5.5 million in seed funding from Australian investors, among them Rob Olver and Bill Cook, a former investment director at AMP Private Equity. In November 2025, DNX Ventures, a venture firm with offices in Silicon Valley and Tokyo, made Zeligate its first Australian investment, extending the seed round ahead of a planned Series A by the end of 2026.
Every CEO.com Podcast conversation ends with the same question, because the chances one gives are just as important as the chances one takes: who gave you a chance? Naidoo named Rob Olver, who was involved in Microsoft's arrival in Australia in 1987 and became his mentor.
"He's the person who believed not just in the idea but also in me," Naidoo said.

Today's<00:00:09.503> guest<00:00:09.778> is<00:00:09.989> Denver<00:00:10.393> Naidoo,<00:00:10.830> CEO<00:00:11.526> of<00:00:11.623> Xeligate.
00:00:12.352 --> 00:00:21.124
Holding<00:00:12.659> 24<00:00:13.225> years<00:00:13.468> of<00:00:13.549> experience<00:00:14.051> in<00:00:14.083> the<00:00:14.148> software<00:00:14.698> industry,<00:00:15.167> Denver<00:00:15.669> gained<00:00:15.880> not<00:00:16.218> only<00:00:16.557> technical<00:00:16.961> expertise,<00:00:17.525> but<00:00:17.671> also<00:00:17.929> an<00:00:18.026> understanding<00:00:18.671> of<00:00:18.800> how<00:00:18.832> to<00:00:18.978> build<00:00:19.220> a<00:00:19.300> team<00:00:20.333> and<00:00:20.494> run<00:00:20.656> a<00:00:20.752> business.
00:00:21.398 --> 00:00:35.523
When<00:00:21.543> he<00:00:21.640> and<00:00:21.785> his<00:00:21.946> partners<00:00:22.285> decided<00:00:22.689> to<00:00:22.753> start<00:00:23.011> an<00:00:23.157> IT<00:00:23.415> professional<00:00:23.883> services<00:00:24.383> business,<00:00:25.270> they<00:00:25.432> realized<00:00:25.905> the<00:00:25.987> need<00:00:26.394> to<00:00:26.476> create<00:00:26.802> various<00:00:27.226> business<00:00:27.471> components,<00:00:28.107> financial<00:00:28.531> entities,<00:00:29.398> sales,<00:00:29.927> marketing,<00:00:30.328> HR,<00:00:30.745> legal,<00:00:31.066> and<00:00:31.146> compliance,<00:00:32.252> all<00:00:32.429> before<00:00:33.054> even<00:00:33.391> building<00:00:33.808> a<00:00:33.936> product<00:00:34.577> or<00:00:34.674> offering<00:00:35.074> a<00:00:35.090> service.
00:00:35.876 --> 00:00:44.375
When<00:00:36.037> given<00:00:36.357> early<00:00:36.742> access<00:00:37.143> to<00:00:37.239> an<00:00:37.384> LLM,<00:00:38.281> paired<00:00:38.538> with<00:00:38.682> his<00:00:38.843> experience<00:00:39.388> in<00:00:39.484> building<00:00:39.741> software<00:00:40.126> and<00:00:40.206> running<00:00:40.446> businesses,<00:00:41.633> led<00:00:41.809> to<00:00:41.954> the<00:00:42.194> idea<00:00:43.092> of<00:00:43.252> creating<00:00:43.750> Xeligate.
00:00:44.455 --> 00:00:52.040
So<00:00:44.615> the<00:00:44.776> Australian-based<00:00:45.417> startup<00:00:45.738> comes<00:00:46.027> from<00:00:46.123> the<00:00:46.155> simple<00:00:46.700> thinking<00:00:47.325> of<00:00:47.566> what<00:00:47.822> if<00:00:47.983> an<00:00:48.127> AI<00:00:48.528> workforce<00:00:49.089> handled<00:00:49.570> all<00:00:49.731> of<00:00:49.827> the<00:00:49.907> tedious,<00:00:50.613> mundane<00:00:51.110> tasks<00:00:51.511> in<00:00:51.591> the<00:00:51.671> business?
00:00:52.633 --> 00:00:54.237
How<00:00:52.713> much<00:00:53.018> more<00:00:53.274> efficient<00:00:53.739> would<00:00:53.916> we<00:00:54.076> be?
00:00:54.541 --> 00:00:57.251
That<00:00:54.798> is<00:00:55.022> what<00:00:55.279> Denver's<00:00:55.744> all<00:00:55.840> about<00:00:56.081> and<00:00:56.225> what<00:00:56.273> Xeligate<00:00:56.882> does.
00:00:57.428 --> 00:00:59.448
Denver,<00:00:57.764> thank<00:00:57.989> you<00:00:58.021> so<00:00:58.310> much<00:00:58.646> for<00:00:58.726> coming<00:00:58.967> on<00:00:59.047> the<00:00:59.127> show.
00:00:59.657 --> 00:01:00.763
Yeah,<00:00:59.833> thank<00:00:59.993> you<00:01:00.025> for<00:01:00.154> having<00:01:00.410> me,<00:01:00.554> Clint.
00:01:01.116 --> 00:01:04.017
Yeah,<00:01:01.853> so<00:01:02.174> tell<00:01:02.398> us<00:01:02.430> about<00:01:02.590> Xeligate,<00:01:03.055> how<00:01:03.200> you<00:01:03.296> became<00:01:03.552> the<00:01:03.632> CEO.
00:01:04.097 --> 00:01:05.203
What<00:01:04.209> did<00:01:04.322> I<00:01:04.418> miss<00:01:04.658> in<00:01:04.803> all<00:01:04.979> that?
00:01:05.925 --> 00:01:07.592
Yeah,<00:01:06.005> I<00:01:06.085> think<00:01:06.245> you've<00:01:06.342> summarized<00:01:06.887> it<00:01:06.967> quite<00:01:07.207> nicely.
00:01:08.169 --> 00:01:13.202
And<00:01:08.890> yeah,<00:01:09.067> that<00:01:09.307> 24-year,<00:01:10.109> going<00:01:10.349> on<00:01:10.429> to<00:01:10.509> 25-year<00:01:11.231> journey<00:01:11.567> now<00:01:11.712> has<00:01:11.872> been<00:01:12.032> quite<00:01:12.257> an<00:01:12.433> interesting<00:01:12.914> journey.
00:01:13.251 --> 00:01:20.656
So<00:01:14.020> what<00:01:14.132> seems<00:01:14.453> like<00:01:14.661> Xeligate<00:01:15.158> that's<00:01:15.479> been<00:01:16.184> established<00:01:16.825> over<00:01:17.002> the<00:01:17.146> past<00:01:17.482> year<00:01:17.643> and<00:01:17.787> a<00:01:17.803> half<00:01:18.204> was<00:01:18.605> actually<00:01:18.989> 24,<00:01:19.438> 25<00:01:19.951> years<00:01:20.208> in<00:01:20.272> the<00:01:20.352> making.
00:01:21.153 --> 00:01:31.509
And<00:01:22.035> yeah,<00:01:22.195> I<00:01:22.308> think<00:01:22.516> the<00:01:22.772> interesting<00:01:23.237> part<00:01:23.638> is,<00:01:24.616> well,<00:01:24.856> for<00:01:24.985> me,<00:01:25.097> it<00:01:25.177> started<00:01:25.594> in<00:01:25.738> 1988<00:01:27.181> working<00:01:27.485> with<00:01:27.565> the<00:01:27.646> Commodore<00:01:27.998> 64,<00:01:28.768> and<00:01:29.104> that's<00:01:29.345> where<00:01:29.521> it<00:01:29.665> piqued<00:01:29.970> my<00:01:30.146> interest<00:01:30.627> into<00:01:31.092> IT.
00:01:32.150 --> 00:01:37.416
And<00:01:32.294> then<00:01:32.615> being<00:01:33.016> a<00:01:33.096> little<00:01:33.337> kid<00:01:33.514> at<00:01:33.610> that<00:01:33.835> point,<00:01:34.461> watching<00:01:34.782> James<00:01:35.200> Bond<00:01:35.521> movies<00:01:35.986> was<00:01:36.099> just,<00:01:36.324> like,<00:01:36.484> so<00:01:36.966> exciting.
00:01:37.945 --> 00:01:41.141
So<00:01:38.797> it<00:01:38.893> was<00:01:39.053> more<00:01:39.375> passion<00:01:39.856> that<00:01:40.017> just<00:01:40.177> continued<00:01:40.659> to<00:01:40.804> grow.
00:01:41.767 --> 00:01:48.559
And<00:01:41.944> the<00:01:42.024> technologies<00:01:42.827> that<00:01:43.132> we<00:01:43.228> saw<00:01:44.095> on<00:01:44.192> James<00:01:44.593> Bond<00:01:45.075> were<00:01:45.476> not<00:01:45.733> available<00:01:46.360> publicly,<00:01:47.066> or<00:01:47.307> you<00:01:47.387> couldn't<00:01:47.580> really<00:01:47.805> get<00:01:47.949> your<00:01:48.046> hands<00:01:48.367> on<00:01:48.511> it.
00:01:49.314 --> 00:01:55.914
And<00:01:49.635> I<00:01:49.796> grew<00:01:49.973> up<00:01:50.133> in<00:01:50.213> the<00:01:50.374> era<00:01:50.695> from<00:01:51.482> Commodore<00:01:51.819> 64<00:01:52.542> to<00:01:52.847> where<00:01:52.959> the<00:01:53.088> PCs<00:01:53.585> became<00:01:53.907> a<00:01:53.971> little<00:01:54.147> bit<00:01:54.388> more<00:01:55.031> easily<00:01:55.336> accessible.
00:01:56.460 --> 00:02:00.217
And<00:01:56.620> we<00:01:56.701> started<00:01:56.990> to<00:01:57.182> use<00:01:57.519> things<00:01:57.825> like<00:01:58.162> DOS<00:01:58.644> with<00:01:59.350> floppy<00:01:59.687> drives.
00:02:00.394 --> 00:02:03.380
And<00:02:01.534> it<00:02:01.598> was<00:02:01.710> a<00:02:01.919> really,<00:02:02.321> really<00:02:02.562> exciting<00:02:03.059> journey.
00:02:03.670 --> 00:02:08.084
But<00:02:04.167> yeah,<00:02:04.504> I'll<00:02:04.809> tell<00:02:04.970> you<00:02:05.066> more<00:02:05.307> about<00:02:05.628> how<00:02:05.885> that<00:02:06.094> 24<00:02:06.655> years<00:02:06.993> ended<00:02:07.233> up<00:02:07.394> with<00:02:07.571> Xeligate.
00:02:08.502 --> 00:02:18.503
But<00:02:08.598> I<00:02:08.742> think<00:02:09.882> the<00:02:09.962> summary<00:02:10.348> of<00:02:10.444> that<00:02:10.765> is,<00:02:11.086> you<00:02:11.167> know,<00:02:11.311> the<00:02:11.407> passion<00:02:11.728> for<00:02:11.873> technology<00:02:12.836> is<00:02:13.414> just<00:02:13.655> growing<00:02:13.928> because<00:02:14.233> now<00:02:14.474> we<00:02:14.682> have<00:02:15.084> access<00:02:15.999> to<00:02:16.866> data<00:02:17.251> that<00:02:17.508> we<00:02:17.604> never<00:02:17.909> had<00:02:18.150> before.
00:02:18.631 --> 00:02:21.088
We<00:02:18.712> have<00:02:19.017> access<00:02:19.418> to<00:02:20.012> satellite<00:02:20.654> imagery.
00:02:21.601 --> 00:02:24.908
And<00:02:21.746> now<00:02:21.922> with<00:02:22.147> AI,<00:02:23.528> it's<00:02:23.849> a<00:02:23.913> dream<00:02:24.250> come<00:02:24.347> true,<00:02:24.652> really.
00:02:25.294 --> 00:02:30.511
Yeah,<00:02:25.518> give<00:02:25.679> me<00:02:25.775> a<00:02:25.856> sense<00:02:26.257> for<00:02:26.417> this<00:02:27.124> LLM<00:02:27.686> that<00:02:27.846> you<00:02:27.926> had<00:02:28.039> early<00:02:28.344> access<00:02:28.745> to<00:02:29.147> and<00:02:29.291> how<00:02:29.548> all<00:02:29.708> of<00:02:29.853> that<00:02:30.029> came<00:02:30.206> about.
00:02:30.736 --> 00:02:31.811
Yeah,<00:02:30.912> that<00:02:30.993> was<00:02:31.201> pretty<00:02:31.394> interesting.
00:02:31.875 --> 00:02:39.145
So,<00:02:32.341> um,<00:02:33.143> working<00:02:33.705> in<00:02:33.881> tech<00:02:34.588> all<00:02:34.700> my<00:02:34.844> life,<00:02:35.550> all<00:02:35.647> my<00:02:35.887> adult<00:02:36.192> life,<00:02:37.091> uh,<00:02:37.236> I've<00:02:37.573> always<00:02:37.813> been<00:02:37.974> following<00:02:38.295> the<00:02:38.375> latest<00:02:38.696> trends.
00:02:39.643 --> 00:02:45.244
So<00:02:39.980> we<00:02:40.124> were<00:02:40.285> at<00:02:40.445> that<00:02:40.606> forefront<00:02:41.168> where<00:02:41.424> you've<00:02:41.649> heard<00:02:41.842> of<00:02:41.986> things<00:02:42.291> like,<00:02:42.564> ooh,<00:02:43.174> .NET's<00:02:43.430> gonna<00:02:43.591> be<00:02:43.751> a<00:02:43.767> new<00:02:43.992> framework<00:02:44.474> that's<00:02:44.650> gonna<00:02:44.875> be<00:02:45.099> out.
00:02:45.420 --> 00:02:50.091
And<00:02:45.677> we<00:02:45.822> followed<00:02:46.175> it<00:02:46.319> before<00:02:46.961> .NET<00:02:47.122> was<00:02:47.298> available,<00:02:47.924> coding<00:02:48.261> in<00:02:48.486> Delphi<00:02:49.047> and<00:02:49.144> C,<00:02:49.545> et<00:02:49.625> cetera.
00:02:50.668 --> 00:02:59.993
So<00:02:50.829> in<00:02:50.957> 2016,<00:02:52.482> uh,<00:02:52.899> I<00:02:52.963> was<00:02:53.140> following<00:02:53.525> a<00:02:53.541> Microsoft<00:02:54.183> newsletter<00:02:54.905> and<00:02:55.066> there<00:02:55.146> was<00:02:55.290> this<00:02:55.467> company,<00:02:56.494> uh,<00:02:56.671> that<00:02:57.072> had<00:02:57.409> Elon<00:02:57.714> Musk<00:02:58.035> involved<00:02:58.452> in<00:02:58.580> it<00:02:58.917> and<00:02:59.014> it<00:02:59.062> was<00:02:59.222> called<00:02:59.543> OpenAI.
00:03:00.747 --> 00:03:11.197
And<00:03:01.229> OpenAI<00:03:01.807> was<00:03:01.967> talking<00:03:02.288> about<00:03:03.572> AI,<00:03:04.439> and<00:03:04.680> LLMs<00:03:05.242> were<00:03:05.659> not<00:03:05.900> really<00:03:07.264> known<00:03:07.650> to<00:03:07.746> the<00:03:07.826> public<00:03:08.211> at<00:03:08.292> that<00:03:08.468> point,<00:03:08.773> but<00:03:08.854> it<00:03:08.950> was<00:03:09.110> more<00:03:09.271> like<00:03:09.576> research<00:03:09.993> papers<00:03:10.330> that<00:03:10.475> we<00:03:10.555> were<00:03:10.635> looking<00:03:10.956> at.
00:03:11.277 --> 00:03:14.536
So<00:03:11.502> from<00:03:11.679> 2016<00:03:12.562> was<00:03:12.722> the<00:03:12.802> first<00:03:13.027> time<00:03:13.220> I<00:03:13.268> started<00:03:13.685> following<00:03:14.071> that<00:03:14.247> journey.
00:03:15.194 --> 00:03:21.695
And<00:03:15.451> in<00:03:15.531> 2022,<00:03:16.639> I<00:03:16.799> got<00:03:17.040> early<00:03:17.361> access<00:03:17.843> to<00:03:18.180> the<00:03:19.207> LLMs<00:03:19.705> that<00:03:19.865> most<00:03:20.106> people<00:03:20.411> know<00:03:20.732> as<00:03:20.893> ChatGPT.
00:03:22.338 --> 00:03:27.571
And<00:03:22.659> we<00:03:22.819> were<00:03:22.899> able<00:03:23.220> to<00:03:23.622> experiment<00:03:24.440> with<00:03:24.745> the<00:03:25.066> LLM<00:03:25.548> before<00:03:26.046> the<00:03:26.190> public<00:03:26.575> had<00:03:26.688> any<00:03:26.912> access<00:03:27.314> to<00:03:27.490> it.
00:03:27.908 --> 00:03:39.863
So<00:03:28.213> that<00:03:28.373> allowed<00:03:28.694> us<00:03:28.919> to<00:03:29.320> put<00:03:29.513> that<00:03:29.738> little,<00:03:30.524> little<00:03:30.910> piece<00:03:31.487> of<00:03:31.648> the<00:03:31.728> puzzle<00:03:32.065> that<00:03:32.225> was<00:03:32.402> missing,<00:03:33.011> that<00:03:33.188> little<00:03:33.429> cherry<00:03:33.830> on<00:03:33.910> the<00:03:33.990> top<00:03:34.247> that<00:03:34.375> I'd<00:03:34.472> like<00:03:34.632> to<00:03:34.776> call<00:03:35.017> it,<00:03:35.418> to<00:03:35.499> bring<00:03:35.819> all<00:03:35.916> these<00:03:36.076> technologies<00:03:36.798> together<00:03:37.296> to<00:03:37.504> actually<00:03:37.921> do<00:03:38.082> something<00:03:38.627> a<00:03:38.643> lot<00:03:39.045> more<00:03:39.205> meaningful<00:03:39.686> with.
00:03:40.392 --> 00:03:41.403
Yeah,<00:03:40.633> that's<00:03:40.874> incredible.
00:03:41.612 --> 00:03:50.132
And<00:03:41.933> what<00:03:42.093> an<00:03:42.238> opportunity<00:03:42.799> that<00:03:43.040> was,<00:03:43.297> because<00:03:43.601> obviously<00:03:43.922> that's<00:03:44.243> an<00:03:44.644> enormous<00:03:45.142> technology<00:03:45.639> that<00:03:45.719> started<00:03:46.185> a<00:03:46.345> revolution<00:03:46.907> here<00:03:47.854> and<00:03:47.950> still<00:03:48.174> one<00:03:48.287> of<00:03:48.351> the<00:03:48.431> leading<00:03:48.816> LLMs,<00:03:49.249> if<00:03:49.394> not<00:03:49.554> the<00:03:49.859> leading.
00:03:50.196 --> 00:03:53.261
So<00:03:50.357> that's<00:03:50.838> pretty<00:03:51.063> cool<00:03:52.041> to<00:03:52.202> be<00:03:52.282> able<00:03:52.443> to<00:03:52.523> have<00:03:52.683> that<00:03:52.844> experience.
00:03:53.325 --> 00:03:55.331
Give<00:03:53.421> me<00:03:53.550> a<00:03:53.566> sense<00:03:53.855> for<00:03:53.951> what<00:03:54.063> it's<00:03:54.208> like<00:03:54.368> to<00:03:54.448> build<00:03:54.689> in<00:03:54.769> Australia.
00:03:55.716 --> 00:03:57.625
Australia<00:03:56.037> is<00:03:56.069> a<00:03:56.133> very<00:03:56.999> interesting<00:03:57.417> place.
00:03:57.802 --> 00:04:01.909
So<00:03:58.203> I<00:03:58.283> live<00:03:58.604> in<00:03:59.182> the<00:03:59.262> Gold<00:03:59.486> Coast,<00:03:59.807> Australia,<00:04:00.385> which<00:04:00.770> is<00:04:01.027> pretty<00:04:01.332> laid<00:04:01.588> back.
00:04:01.974 --> 00:04:05.004
It's,<00:04:02.294> uh,<00:04:03.016> beaches,<00:04:03.593> canals,<00:04:04.315> mountains.
00:04:05.421 --> 00:04:07.360
It's,<00:04:05.773> it's<00:04:05.918> a<00:04:05.982> lovely<00:04:06.238> place<00:04:06.495> to<00:04:06.639> retire,<00:04:07.040> really.
00:04:08.547 --> 00:04:13.740
So,<00:04:09.027> um,<00:04:09.765> with<00:04:09.925> that,<00:04:10.246> it's<00:04:10.406> very<00:04:10.646> interesting<00:04:11.047> to<00:04:11.127> find<00:04:11.368> that<00:04:11.464> there's<00:04:11.624> a<00:04:11.688> startup<00:04:12.089> community<00:04:12.650> that's<00:04:13.035> actually<00:04:13.211> quite<00:04:13.516> large.
00:04:14.317 --> 00:04:21.419
You'd<00:04:14.414> find<00:04:14.718> that,<00:04:15.199> um,<00:04:15.936> in<00:04:16.017> Australia,<00:04:16.578> you've<00:04:16.658> got,<00:04:16.962> you've<00:04:17.059> got<00:04:17.219> companies<00:04:17.700> like<00:04:18.020> Atlassian,<00:04:18.822> Canva,<00:04:19.928> really<00:04:20.184> big<00:04:20.345> names<00:04:20.649> that<00:04:20.729> have<00:04:20.826> come<00:04:21.050> out<00:04:21.162> of<00:04:21.371> it.
00:04:21.611 --> 00:04:26.917
And<00:04:21.948> recently,<00:04:22.733> uh,<00:04:23.070> we've<00:04:23.230> been<00:04:23.390> talking<00:04:23.711> to<00:04:23.807> the<00:04:23.935> guys<00:04:24.176> from<00:04:24.593> Leonardo,<00:04:25.619> uh,<00:04:25.715> just<00:04:25.955> before<00:04:26.260> they<00:04:26.356> sold<00:04:26.741> out.
00:04:27.334 --> 00:04:34.211
So<00:04:27.863> what<00:04:28.023> we<00:04:28.119> find,<00:04:28.440> Australia's<00:04:29.482> really,<00:04:29.947> really<00:04:30.364> good<00:04:30.748> in<00:04:30.925> the<00:04:30.989> sense<00:04:31.325> that,<00:04:31.870> uh,<00:04:32.127> startups<00:04:32.768> can,<00:04:33.313> can<00:04:33.457> have<00:04:33.586> a<00:04:33.714> good<00:04:33.890> base.
00:04:34.692 --> 00:04:36.375
Try<00:04:35.012> out<00:04:35.157> your<00:04:35.205> software<00:04:35.573> in<00:04:35.718> Australia.
00:04:36.471 --> 00:04:39.228
Australians<00:04:37.080> are,<00:04:37.417> are<00:04:37.561> quite<00:04:37.737> keen<00:04:37.978> to<00:04:38.058> try<00:04:38.363> out<00:04:38.475> new<00:04:38.683> things<00:04:38.940> as<00:04:39.084> well.
00:04:39.805 --> 00:04:46.346
And<00:04:40.046> with<00:04:40.206> the<00:04:40.238> small<00:04:40.607> population,<00:04:41.264> you<00:04:41.344> have<00:04:41.488> a<00:04:41.585> good<00:04:41.729> opportunity<00:04:42.306> to<00:04:43.027> showcase<00:04:43.508> that<00:04:43.669> you<00:04:43.765> can<00:04:43.989> make<00:04:44.149> business<00:04:44.550> work<00:04:45.095> before<00:04:45.272> taking<00:04:45.592> it<00:04:45.656> across<00:04:45.977> the<00:04:46.137> ocean.
00:04:46.794 --> 00:04:48.638
Is<00:04:46.955> the<00:04:47.035> Gold<00:04:47.339> Coast<00:04:47.756> the<00:04:48.221> place<00:04:48.462> to<00:04:48.558> be?
00:04:48.782 --> 00:04:54.810
Gold<00:04:48.959> Coast,<00:04:49.279> sorry,<00:04:49.455> I<00:04:49.472> don't<00:04:49.680> know<00:04:49.760> what<00:04:49.904> I<00:04:49.936> said<00:04:50.161> there,<00:04:50.401> but<00:04:51.523> is,<00:04:52.004> is<00:04:52.149> that<00:04:52.309> the<00:04:52.389> place<00:04:52.645> to<00:04:52.726> be<00:04:52.966> or<00:04:53.367> is<00:04:53.864> Sydney<00:04:54.329> the<00:04:54.409> place<00:04:54.649> to<00:04:54.729> be?
00:04:54.890 --> 00:04:56.044
Where's<00:04:55.114> the,<00:04:55.210> where's<00:04:55.451> the<00:04:55.531> place<00:04:55.771> to<00:04:55.868> be?
00:04:56.316 --> 00:04:58.224
Well,<00:04:56.653> I'm<00:04:56.717> gonna<00:04:56.877> be<00:04:56.974> a<00:04:56.990> little<00:04:57.214> bit<00:04:57.374> biased<00:04:57.759> on<00:04:57.855> this<00:04:58.064> one.
00:04:58.673 --> 00:05:00.468
So<00:04:58.881> the<00:04:58.977> Gold<00:04:59.202> Coast<00:04:59.619> pretty<00:04:59.779> much<00:04:59.955> has<00:05:00.244> it<00:05:00.324> all.
00:05:00.805 --> 00:05:05.021
And<00:05:01.061> there's<00:05:02.440> a<00:05:02.504> few<00:05:02.744> Hollywood<00:05:03.209> movies<00:05:03.466> that<00:05:03.562> have<00:05:03.690> been<00:05:03.786> shot<00:05:04.027> in<00:05:04.107> the<00:05:04.187> Gold<00:05:04.428> Coast<00:05:04.748> as<00:05:04.893> well.
00:05:05.229 --> 00:05:06.897
We<00:05:05.309> have<00:05:05.486> studios<00:05:06.095> in<00:05:06.191> the<00:05:06.271> Gold<00:05:06.480> coast.
00:05:07.700 --> 00:05:14.447
So<00:05:08.182> what<00:05:08.680> you<00:05:08.760> would<00:05:08.937> see,<00:05:09.628> Orlando<00:05:10.029> probably<00:05:10.431> has<00:05:10.832> all<00:05:10.865> the<00:05:11.009> theme<00:05:11.234> parks<00:05:11.716> and<00:05:11.957> Gold<00:05:12.134> Coast<00:05:12.455> has<00:05:12.760> all<00:05:12.856> of<00:05:12.937> the<00:05:13.017> theme<00:05:13.258> parks<00:05:14.061> as<00:05:14.206> well.
00:05:14.880 --> 00:05:23.474
So<00:05:15.266> in<00:05:15.362> terms<00:05:15.732> of<00:05:16.695> coming<00:05:16.936> in<00:05:17.033> with<00:05:17.113> a<00:05:17.193> family,<00:05:17.739> having<00:05:18.462> a<00:05:18.478> nice<00:05:19.442> balance<00:05:19.908> of<00:05:20.069> life,<00:05:20.872> the<00:05:20.952> Gold<00:05:21.129> Coast<00:05:21.434> is<00:05:21.675> really,<00:05:21.932> really<00:05:22.157> livable<00:05:22.590> in<00:05:22.735> that<00:05:22.960> perspective.
00:05:23.538 --> 00:05:31.810
So<00:05:23.699> whether<00:05:23.859> it's<00:05:24.020> the<00:05:24.116> surf,<00:05:24.502> the<00:05:24.598> sun,<00:05:25.128> and<00:05:25.385> interesting<00:05:25.787> enough,<00:05:26.028> there's<00:05:26.253> also<00:05:27.297> ice<00:05:27.570> hockey<00:05:30.284> in<00:05:30.365> Brisbane,<00:05:30.911> which<00:05:31.088> is<00:05:31.168> not<00:05:31.328> too<00:05:31.473> far<00:05:31.714> away.
00:05:32.160 --> 00:05:32.965
Oh,<00:05:32.180> that's<00:05:32.596> way<00:05:32.757> cool.
00:05:33.478 --> 00:05:34.712
What<00:05:33.638> is<00:05:33.815> the<00:05:34.055> government<00:05:34.456> like?
00:05:34.761 --> 00:05:36.668
Is<00:05:35.161> it<00:05:35.338> supportive<00:05:35.883> of<00:05:35.963> these<00:05:36.123> types<00:05:36.380> of<00:05:36.460> things?
00:05:36.796 --> 00:05:41.910
Is<00:05:37.085> it,<00:05:38.047> you<00:05:38.079> know,<00:05:38.223> would<00:05:38.383> you<00:05:38.447> find<00:05:38.688> it<00:05:39.185> similar<00:05:39.666> to<00:05:39.746> like<00:05:39.906> maybe<00:05:40.387> Europe<00:05:40.804> or<00:05:41.173> United<00:05:41.493> States?
00:05:42.471 --> 00:05:44.843
The<00:05:42.551> government's<00:05:42.936> really<00:05:43.112> supportive<00:05:43.593> of<00:05:43.673> startup<00:05:44.395> businesses.
00:05:44.892 --> 00:05:48.290
There's<00:05:45.100> a<00:05:45.116> lot<00:05:45.276> of<00:05:45.372> incentives<00:05:46.222> to<00:05:47.264> take<00:05:47.440> your<00:05:47.521> business<00:05:48.001> forward.
00:05:48.867 --> 00:05:51.544
And<00:05:49.124> that's<00:05:49.669> one<00:05:49.781> of<00:05:49.909> the<00:05:49.989> other<00:05:50.230> things<00:05:50.406> I<00:05:50.470> like<00:05:50.727> about<00:05:50.951> Australia.
00:05:51.752 --> 00:05:58.437
And<00:05:52.169> Australia<00:05:52.554> allows<00:05:52.955> you<00:05:53.035> to<00:05:53.564> sort<00:05:54.077> of<00:05:54.173> spread<00:05:54.494> your<00:05:54.574> wings<00:05:54.894> and<00:05:55.039> even,<00:05:56.000> you<00:05:56.033> know,<00:05:56.257> export<00:05:56.722> your<00:05:56.898> business<00:05:57.299> to<00:05:57.844> other<00:05:58.004> countries.
00:05:58.982 --> 00:06:00.793
It's<00:05:59.126> really<00:05:59.303> supportive<00:05:59.800> in<00:05:59.944> that<00:06:00.184> perspective.
00:06:01.050 --> 00:06:05.635
However,<00:06:02.092> I<00:06:02.252> think<00:06:02.429> with<00:06:02.493> the<00:06:02.653> US,<00:06:03.214> there's<00:06:03.551> a<00:06:03.615> lot<00:06:03.711> of<00:06:03.855> bigger<00:06:04.096> bets<00:06:04.352> that's<00:06:04.593> being<00:06:04.753> placed<00:06:05.090> in<00:06:05.218> the<00:06:05.314> US.
00:06:06.099 --> 00:06:10.812
Uh,<00:06:06.276> I—<00:06:06.516> we've,<00:06:06.981> we've<00:06:07.222> seen<00:06:07.863> a<00:06:07.943> lot<00:06:08.055> of<00:06:08.183> investment<00:06:08.680> go<00:06:08.841> into<00:06:09.065> just<00:06:09.386> ideas,<00:06:10.043> not<00:06:10.139> even<00:06:10.363> the<00:06:10.444> company.
00:06:11.389 --> 00:06:17.946
So<00:06:11.710> it<00:06:11.806> seems<00:06:12.127> like<00:06:12.447> the,<00:06:13.073> uh,<00:06:13.409> there's<00:06:13.874> a<00:06:13.890> lot<00:06:14.227> of<00:06:14.515> appetite<00:06:14.868> for<00:06:15.012> risk<00:06:15.477> and<00:06:15.653> there's<00:06:15.798> a<00:06:15.878> lot<00:06:15.990> of<00:06:16.118> appetite<00:06:16.519> to<00:06:16.631> throw<00:06:16.840> in<00:06:17.016> large<00:06:17.256> sums<00:06:17.593> of<00:06:17.737> money.
00:06:18.603 --> 00:06:26.474
Uh,<00:06:18.924> what<00:06:19.084> I<00:06:19.164> would<00:06:19.324> say<00:06:19.485> about<00:06:19.661> Australian<00:06:20.302> investors<00:06:20.847> though,<00:06:21.665> they<00:06:21.825> do<00:06:21.921> seem<00:06:22.146> to<00:06:22.242> be<00:06:22.386> a<00:06:22.450> little<00:06:22.627> bit<00:06:22.787> more<00:06:22.947> conservative,<00:06:23.893> uh,<00:06:24.085> in<00:06:24.149> the<00:06:24.246> sense<00:06:24.550> that,<00:06:25.095> uh,<00:06:25.191> there's<00:06:25.368> a<00:06:25.432> lot<00:06:25.608> more<00:06:25.752> due<00:06:25.897> diligence.
00:06:26.698 --> 00:06:30.497
And<00:06:26.955> I<00:06:27.035> think<00:06:27.259> as<00:06:27.355> a<00:06:27.420> result,<00:06:27.756> that's<00:06:27.981> why<00:06:28.061> a<00:06:28.077> lot<00:06:28.397> more<00:06:28.558> of<00:06:28.654> the<00:06:28.718> investments<00:06:29.503> are,<00:06:29.824> are<00:06:29.856> successful.
00:06:30.898 --> 00:06:38.817
So<00:06:31.026> they<00:06:31.106> kind<00:06:31.283> of<00:06:31.363> look<00:06:31.523> for<00:06:31.635> that<00:06:31.764> return<00:06:32.164> of<00:06:32.261> investment,<00:06:33.511> uh,<00:06:34.008> a<00:06:34.072> little<00:06:34.248> bit<00:06:34.409> more<00:06:34.569> seriously<00:06:35.595> rather<00:06:36.717> spreading<00:06:37.775> the<00:06:37.935> bets,<00:06:38.160> so<00:06:38.416> to<00:06:38.496> speak.
00:06:39.202 --> 00:06:42.905
So<00:06:39.298> give<00:06:39.410> me<00:06:39.618> a<00:06:39.635> sense<00:06:40.019> of<00:06:40.725> how<00:06:40.885> you're<00:06:41.061> thinking<00:06:41.382> about<00:06:41.606> AI,<00:06:42.007> how<00:06:42.167> you're<00:06:42.408> using<00:06:42.841> AI.
00:06:43.049 --> 00:06:47.682
I<00:06:43.225> know<00:06:43.370> you<00:06:43.402> guys<00:06:43.690> recently<00:06:44.011> launched<00:06:44.283> an<00:06:44.412> AI<00:06:45.389> kind<00:06:45.566> of<00:06:45.630> product<00:06:46.592> that<00:06:46.912> you<00:06:46.992> should<00:06:47.153> talk<00:06:47.377> about.
00:06:47.794 --> 00:06:55.601
Give<00:06:47.954> us<00:06:48.034> your<00:06:48.195> overall<00:06:48.595> overview<00:06:49.461> of<00:06:50.423> AI<00:06:50.920> and<00:06:51.064> where<00:06:51.240> we're<00:06:51.385> headed<00:06:51.705> here<00:06:51.946> as<00:06:52.042> someone<00:06:52.346> who,<00:06:52.587> you<00:06:52.619> know,<00:06:52.827> kind<00:06:52.924> of<00:06:52.988> got<00:06:53.164> early<00:06:53.469> access<00:06:53.885> to<00:06:54.046> a<00:06:54.382> lot<00:06:54.607> of<00:06:54.703> the<00:06:54.831> major<00:06:55.168> tools<00:06:55.488> now.
00:06:55.873 --> 00:07:03.055
So<00:06:56.835> having<00:06:57.572> access<00:06:57.893> to<00:06:58.117> AI<00:06:58.438> right<00:06:58.694> now,<00:06:59.079> it's<00:06:59.496> pretty<00:06:59.720> much<00:06:59.881> become<00:07:00.217> part<00:07:00.538> of<00:07:01.019> my<00:07:01.275> everyday<00:07:01.644> life<00:07:01.916> and<00:07:01.997> the<00:07:02.125> team's<00:07:02.445> everyday<00:07:02.782> life.
00:07:03.327 --> 00:07:10.284
And<00:07:03.439> it's<00:07:03.535> not<00:07:03.744> just<00:07:04.145> the<00:07:04.225> parts<00:07:04.545> that<00:07:04.706> we're<00:07:04.930> building,<00:07:05.347> but<00:07:05.507> we<00:07:05.667> actually<00:07:06.148> use<00:07:06.613> AI<00:07:07.511> to<00:07:08.072> to<00:07:08.457> get<00:07:08.617> our<00:07:08.793> jobs<00:07:09.114> done<00:07:09.419> on<00:07:09.531> a<00:07:09.595> daily<00:07:09.915> basis.
00:07:10.797 --> 00:07:16.568
So,<00:07:11.663> Clint,<00:07:11.919> you're<00:07:11.999> probably<00:07:12.384> not<00:07:12.496> going<00:07:12.641> to<00:07:12.721> like<00:07:12.961> this<00:07:13.186> one,<00:07:13.667> but<00:07:13.827> what's<00:07:14.083> interesting<00:07:14.484> is<00:07:14.564> you're<00:07:14.660> sitting<00:07:14.965> across<00:07:15.334> from<00:07:15.446> me<00:07:15.606> and<00:07:15.766> you're<00:07:15.847> talking<00:07:16.247> to<00:07:16.344> me.
00:07:16.953 --> 00:07:23.942
And<00:07:17.353> one<00:07:17.466> of<00:07:17.674> our<00:07:17.834> products<00:07:18.235> is<00:07:18.331> an<00:07:18.556> AI—<00:07:19.614> is<00:07:19.710> a<00:07:19.838> prescreening<00:07:20.640> AI<00:07:20.896> assistant<00:07:21.682> that<00:07:21.938> goes<00:07:22.243> in<00:07:22.403> and<00:07:22.499> does<00:07:22.675> a<00:07:22.740> prescreening<00:07:23.221> interview<00:07:23.621> for<00:07:23.846> you.
00:07:24.503 --> 00:07:28.062
So<00:07:24.663> just<00:07:24.968> as<00:07:25.128> you're<00:07:25.224> speaking<00:07:25.625> to<00:07:25.785> me<00:07:25.946> and<00:07:26.090> I<00:07:26.186> can<00:07:26.330> see<00:07:26.667> you,<00:07:27.132> I<00:07:27.228> can<00:07:27.324> see<00:07:27.549> the<00:07:27.773> AI.
00:07:28.190 --> 00:07:29.761
And<00:07:28.350> there's<00:07:29.072> a<00:07:29.136> bit<00:07:29.232> of<00:07:29.328> a<00:07:29.392> connection.
00:07:29.857 --> 00:07:34.522
I<00:07:29.873> get<00:07:30.033> to<00:07:30.178> choose<00:07:30.434> the<00:07:30.594> one<00:07:31.220> that<00:07:31.380> I<00:07:31.540> resonate<00:07:32.037> with,<00:07:32.582> and<00:07:32.999> I<00:07:33.079> can<00:07:33.223> see<00:07:33.400> the<00:07:33.544> AI<00:07:33.800> nodding<00:07:34.281> back.
00:07:34.939 --> 00:07:39.459
So<00:07:35.387> it's<00:07:35.548> no<00:07:35.708> longer<00:07:35.964> just<00:07:36.205> bits<00:07:36.445> and<00:07:36.606> bytes<00:07:37.006> behind<00:07:37.391> the<00:07:37.471> computer<00:07:38.048> with<00:07:38.193> some<00:07:38.513> oscillating<00:07:39.090> waves.
00:07:39.812 --> 00:07:41.818
Now<00:07:39.988> we<00:07:40.117> see<00:07:40.454> a<00:07:40.518> face<00:07:40.855> that<00:07:41.015> we<00:07:41.096> can<00:07:41.256> connect<00:07:41.721> with.
00:07:42.444 --> 00:07:49.184
And<00:07:42.845> when<00:07:42.941> you<00:07:43.037> connect<00:07:43.407> to<00:07:43.503> that,<00:07:43.727> there's<00:07:43.840> a<00:07:43.968> bit<00:07:44.064> of<00:07:44.225> an<00:07:44.305> emotional<00:07:44.851> connection<00:07:45.429> because<00:07:46.151> there's<00:07:46.327> a<00:07:46.391> bit<00:07:46.632> more<00:07:46.809> trust<00:07:47.354> that<00:07:47.515> you<00:07:47.675> build<00:07:48.076> in<00:07:48.221> that,<00:07:48.478> in<00:07:48.558> that<00:07:48.863> aspect.
00:07:49.344 --> 00:07:52.859
And<00:07:49.440> I<00:07:49.521> think<00:07:49.681> the<00:07:49.922> biggest<00:07:50.323> issue<00:07:50.644> was<00:07:50.965> people<00:07:51.206> didn't<00:07:51.832> trust<00:07:52.233> the<00:07:52.313> computers.
00:07:53.276 --> 00:08:04.975
We've<00:07:53.388> seen<00:07:53.757> things<00:07:54.158> like,<00:07:55.201> you<00:07:55.266> know,<00:07:55.442> the<00:07:55.538> Terminator,<00:07:56.806> and<00:07:57.207> we've<00:07:57.368> seen<00:07:58.491> movies<00:07:58.812> like<00:07:59.213> Avengers<00:08:00.096> where<00:08:01.621> computers<00:08:02.054> or<00:08:02.262> AI<00:08:02.423> has<00:08:02.583> actually<00:08:02.840> just,<00:08:03.145> you<00:08:03.177> know,<00:08:03.322> taken<00:08:03.643> over<00:08:03.947> and<00:08:04.204> got<00:08:04.365> it<00:08:04.509> all<00:08:04.750> wrong.
00:08:05.632 --> 00:08:09.917
And<00:08:05.873> it's<00:08:06.034> created<00:08:06.435> that<00:08:06.547> sense<00:08:06.932> of<00:08:07.173> fear,<00:08:08.136> uncertainty,<00:08:08.778> and<00:08:08.922> doubt<00:08:09.195> around<00:08:09.564> AI.
00:08:10.382 --> 00:08:14.569
But<00:08:11.249> the<00:08:11.409> way<00:08:11.666> we<00:08:11.906> use<00:08:12.131> it<00:08:12.227> right<00:08:12.468> now<00:08:12.853> is<00:08:13.109> one<00:08:13.414> is<00:08:13.655> to<00:08:13.815> build<00:08:13.992> that<00:08:14.152> trust.
00:08:14.858 --> 00:08:17.200
And<00:08:15.259> I<00:08:15.419> have<00:08:15.612> a<00:08:15.676> Zelly,<00:08:16.157> which<00:08:16.382> I<00:08:16.478> see<00:08:16.719> and<00:08:16.863> talk<00:08:17.056> to.
00:08:17.826 --> 00:08:23.745
And<00:08:18.227> I<00:08:18.307> would<00:08:18.403> go<00:08:18.580> to<00:08:18.788> my<00:08:18.981> Zelly<00:08:19.366> and<00:08:19.446> say<00:08:19.606> to<00:08:19.686> my<00:08:19.847> Zelly,<00:08:20.312> okay,<00:08:20.585> Zelly,<00:08:20.970> what<00:08:21.130> does<00:08:21.371> my<00:08:22.558> calendar<00:08:22.959> look<00:08:23.119> like<00:08:23.296> this<00:08:23.536> morning?
00:08:23.937 --> 00:08:29.536
And<00:08:24.082> Zelly<00:08:24.322> would<00:08:24.419> say<00:08:24.579> something<00:08:24.964> along<00:08:25.205> the<00:08:25.301> lines<00:08:25.622> like,<00:08:26.424> you've<00:08:26.584> actually<00:08:26.841> got<00:08:26.985> a<00:08:27.066> podcast<00:08:27.547> this<00:08:27.691> morning<00:08:28.413> and<00:08:28.670> you're<00:08:28.750> speaking<00:08:29.087> to<00:08:29.231> Clint.
00:08:29.937 --> 00:08:30.691
And<00:08:30.001> I<00:08:30.017> was<00:08:30.113> like,<00:08:30.258> oh,<00:08:30.418> great.
00:08:30.980 --> 00:08:32.455
Can<00:08:31.076> you<00:08:31.172> tell<00:08:31.333> me<00:08:31.477> a<00:08:31.541> little<00:08:31.718> bit<00:08:31.862> more<00:08:32.022> about<00:08:32.199> Clint?
00:08:32.520 --> 00:08:33.322
Give<00:08:32.664> me<00:08:32.696> some<00:08:32.921> background.
00:08:33.803 --> 00:08:35.856
And<00:08:33.963> Zelly<00:08:34.188> would<00:08:34.284> go<00:08:34.605> get<00:08:34.749> some<00:08:34.926> background<00:08:35.311> information.
00:08:36.514 --> 00:08:38.214
And<00:08:37.156> it<00:08:37.252> goes<00:08:37.492> further<00:08:37.797> than<00:08:37.974> that.
00:08:38.311 --> 00:08:46.760
So<00:08:38.615> I<00:08:38.696> could<00:08:38.920> actually<00:08:39.113> say,<00:08:39.273> Zelly,<00:08:39.802> I<00:08:39.883> want<00:08:40.059> you<00:08:40.139> to<00:08:41.502> set<00:08:41.727> up<00:08:41.823> a<00:08:41.839> meeting<00:08:42.144> with<00:08:42.288> Sam<00:08:43.330> and<00:08:43.731> ask<00:08:43.971> Sam<00:08:44.308> to<00:08:44.388> make<00:08:44.548> sure<00:08:44.933> that<00:08:45.270> all<00:08:45.302> my<00:08:45.494> equipment<00:08:45.847> is<00:08:45.991> set<00:08:46.135> up<00:08:46.231> for<00:08:46.392> the<00:08:46.456> meeting.
00:08:47.177 --> 00:08:49.790
And<00:08:47.337> Zelie<00:08:47.514> would<00:08:47.674> go<00:08:47.754> ahead,<00:08:48.876> send<00:08:49.197> that<00:08:49.502> email.
00:08:50.383 --> 00:08:53.333
And<00:08:50.624> now<00:08:50.784> we've<00:08:50.944> gone<00:08:51.345> as<00:08:51.601> far<00:08:51.906> as<00:08:52.114> Zelie<00:08:52.563> making<00:08:52.868> a<00:08:52.948> phone<00:08:53.188> call.
00:08:53.381 --> 00:08:57.549
So<00:08:53.525> Zelie<00:08:53.749> would<00:08:53.846> pick<00:08:54.070> up<00:08:54.182> that<00:08:54.327> phone<00:08:55.112> and<00:08:56.411> perform<00:08:56.811> a<00:08:56.827> task<00:08:57.212> for<00:08:57.436> you.
00:08:57.693 --> 00:09:02.358
And<00:08:57.853> where<00:08:58.014> this<00:08:58.238> actually<00:08:58.494> comes<00:08:58.815> full<00:08:58.975> circle<00:08:59.601> is<00:09:00.258> we<00:09:00.338> are<00:09:00.482> leading<00:09:00.883> with<00:09:01.139> the<00:09:01.364> hiring<00:09:01.797> assistant.
00:09:02.983 --> 00:09:11.703
When<00:09:03.143> you're<00:09:03.239> doing<00:09:03.464> a<00:09:03.528> reference<00:09:03.945> check,<00:09:04.361> Zelie<00:09:04.666> would<00:09:04.890> actually<00:09:05.307> go<00:09:05.548> through<00:09:05.692> your<00:09:05.788> resume,<00:09:06.429> find<00:09:06.670> that<00:09:06.814> reference<00:09:07.151> check<00:09:07.391> number,<00:09:08.257> and<00:09:08.593> when<00:09:08.754> you're<00:09:08.978> ready,<00:09:09.315> you<00:09:09.411> say<00:09:09.619> to<00:09:09.716> Zelie,<00:09:10.036> can<00:09:10.180> you<00:09:10.277> do<00:09:10.437> a<00:09:10.501> reference<00:09:10.902> check<00:09:11.222> on<00:09:11.319> Simon?
00:09:12.184 --> 00:09:17.090
And<00:09:12.361> Zelie<00:09:12.585> would<00:09:12.681> pick<00:09:12.841> up<00:09:12.890> up<00:09:12.922> the<00:09:13.002> phone,<00:09:13.322> call<00:09:13.579> Simon,<00:09:14.589> and<00:09:15.086> speak<00:09:15.406> to<00:09:15.551> Simon<00:09:16.048> and<00:09:16.192> do<00:09:16.304> the<00:09:16.432> reference<00:09:16.833> check.
00:09:17.555 --> 00:09:24.432
And<00:09:17.811> to<00:09:17.955> bridge<00:09:18.212> that<00:09:18.372> gap<00:09:18.773> where<00:09:19.078> there's<00:09:19.334> a<00:09:19.494> lot<00:09:19.655> of<00:09:20.120> uncertainty<00:09:21.162> or<00:09:21.242> still<00:09:21.755> that<00:09:22.043> fear<00:09:22.284> from<00:09:22.460> people<00:09:22.781> about,<00:09:23.326> you<00:09:23.358> know,<00:09:23.566> what<00:09:23.663> is<00:09:23.887> AI<00:09:24.144> going<00:09:24.240> to<00:09:24.304> do?
00:09:24.480 --> 00:09:27.751
Is<00:09:24.689> AI<00:09:24.865> going<00:09:25.009> to<00:09:25.106> represent<00:09:25.747> me<00:09:26.228> the<00:09:26.308> way<00:09:26.548> I<00:09:26.693> represent<00:09:27.254> myself?
00:09:28.296 --> 00:09:30.845
And<00:09:29.338> so<00:09:29.739> there's<00:09:30.075> a<00:09:30.139> little<00:09:30.316> bit<00:09:30.460> of<00:09:30.556> a<00:09:30.636> bridge.
00:09:31.037 --> 00:09:33.907
I<00:09:31.101> could<00:09:31.197> say<00:09:31.358> to<00:09:31.454> Zelie,<00:09:32.240> Zelie,<00:09:32.480> can<00:09:32.624> you<00:09:32.704> call<00:09:32.961> Clint<00:09:33.282> on<00:09:33.346> his<00:09:33.522> mobile?
00:09:34.388 --> 00:09:35.991
And<00:09:34.644> can<00:09:34.805> you<00:09:34.885> call<00:09:35.125> me<00:09:35.285> on<00:09:35.430> my<00:09:35.542> mobile?
00:09:36.071 --> 00:09:36.857
I<00:09:36.087> want<00:09:36.247> to<00:09:36.279> talk<00:09:36.488> to<00:09:36.568> Clint.
00:09:37.434 --> 00:09:48.335
And<00:09:37.530> what<00:09:37.706> Zelie<00:09:37.995> does<00:09:38.476> is<00:09:38.732> would<00:09:38.973> call<00:09:39.293> you<00:09:39.454> on<00:09:39.518> your<00:09:39.598> mobile,<00:09:40.095> call<00:09:40.351> me,<00:09:40.897> and<00:09:41.393> sit<00:09:41.634> in<00:09:41.778> between<00:09:42.099> that<00:09:42.259> call<00:09:43.125> and<00:09:43.686> get<00:09:43.862> the<00:09:44.007> action<00:09:44.327> items<00:09:44.648> out<00:09:44.728> of<00:09:44.824> that,<00:09:45.129> get,<00:09:45.385> get,<00:09:45.770> uh,<00:09:46.427> you<00:09:46.523> know,<00:09:46.668> the<00:09:46.748> objective<00:09:47.245> of<00:09:47.309> what<00:09:47.469> we<00:09:47.565> are<00:09:47.613> really<00:09:47.790> trying<00:09:48.094> to<00:09:48.190> do.
00:09:48.752 --> 00:09:53.593
And<00:09:48.832> if<00:09:48.912> that<00:09:49.072> objective<00:09:49.553> falls<00:09:49.938> into<00:09:50.098> something<00:09:50.435> that<00:09:50.595> Zilli<00:09:50.900> can<00:09:51.220> actually<00:09:51.621> do,<00:09:52.294> Zilli<00:09:52.583> can<00:09:52.743> go<00:09:52.855> ahead<00:09:53.160> and<00:09:53.240> do<00:09:53.416> that.
00:09:54.122 --> 00:10:04.830
So<00:09:54.747> the<00:09:54.923> way<00:09:55.164> we<00:09:55.388> use<00:09:55.709> it<00:09:56.270> is,<00:09:57.312> is,<00:09:57.504> is<00:09:57.632> in<00:09:57.664> a<00:09:57.728> sense<00:09:58.273> of<00:09:58.674> removing<00:09:59.155> all<00:09:59.267> that<00:09:59.636> tedious<00:10:00.197> mundane<00:10:00.678> work<00:10:01.415> where<00:10:02.121> we<00:10:02.521> get<00:10:02.714> the<00:10:02.922> AI<00:10:03.179> to<00:10:03.339> go<00:10:03.499> ahead<00:10:03.820> and<00:10:03.980> actually<00:10:04.365> do<00:10:04.541> things.
00:10:05.487 --> 00:10:15.265
And<00:10:05.743> the<00:10:05.808> little<00:10:05.984> caveat<00:10:06.465> here<00:10:06.930> is<00:10:07.330> what<00:10:07.507> we've<00:10:07.619> seen<00:10:08.068> for<00:10:08.180> the<00:10:08.292> past<00:10:08.613> year<00:10:08.709> or<00:10:08.805> two<00:10:09.254> is,<00:10:09.655> uh,<00:10:09.831> very<00:10:10.056> creative<00:10:10.536> ways<00:10:10.857> where<00:10:11.098> other<00:10:11.210> companies<00:10:11.675> have<00:10:12.075> used<00:10:12.540> AI,<00:10:13.662> uh,<00:10:13.999> to,<00:10:14.320> to<00:10:14.464> help<00:10:14.784> you<00:10:14.865> do<00:10:15.025> what<00:10:15.185> you<00:10:15.233> do.
00:10:15.330 --> 00:10:15.602
Doing.
00:10:15.682 --> 00:10:19.513
And<00:10:16.404> we've<00:10:16.580> taken<00:10:16.804> it<00:10:16.868> a<00:10:16.900> step<00:10:17.205> further<00:10:17.510> where<00:10:17.606> the<00:10:17.830> AI<00:10:18.151> actually<00:10:18.632> does<00:10:18.872> it<00:10:19.048> for<00:10:19.273> you.
00:10:19.850 --> 00:10:21.629
So<00:10:20.187> Zelie<00:10:20.555> would<00:10:20.732> meet<00:10:20.972> you<00:10:21.132> where<00:10:21.309> you<00:10:21.517> are.
00:10:21.693 --> 00:10:23.264
People<00:10:22.078> are<00:10:22.158> constantly<00:10:22.735> on<00:10:22.960> emails.
00:10:23.377 --> 00:10:24.771
So<00:10:23.713> Zelie<00:10:24.002> is<00:10:24.178> in<00:10:24.258> your<00:10:24.483> email.
00:10:25.140 --> 00:10:28.122
Zelie<00:10:25.316> is<00:10:25.445> able<00:10:25.637> to<00:10:25.845> respond<00:10:26.422> on<00:10:26.583> your<00:10:26.807> behalf<00:10:27.288> or<00:10:27.368> help<00:10:27.609> you<00:10:27.705> respond.
00:10:28.586 --> 00:10:32.482
Zelie<00:10:28.763> is<00:10:28.891> able<00:10:29.083> to<00:10:29.228> respond<00:10:29.628> to<00:10:29.789> SMSes,<00:10:30.895> give<00:10:30.991> you<00:10:31.135> a<00:10:31.231> link<00:10:31.472> that<00:10:31.616> you<00:10:31.648> need<00:10:31.873> very<00:10:32.113> quickly.
00:10:33.059 --> 00:10:39.054
And<00:10:33.700> also,<00:10:34.982> we<00:10:35.079> have<00:10:35.319> this<00:10:35.576> Zelie<00:10:35.880> video<00:10:36.201> meeting<00:10:36.585> where<00:10:36.682> Zelie<00:10:36.922> sits<00:10:37.227> in<00:10:37.323> on<00:10:37.403> that<00:10:37.627> meeting<00:10:37.884> just<00:10:38.044> like<00:10:38.269> you<00:10:38.365> and<00:10:38.509> I<00:10:38.621> are<00:10:38.685> talking.
00:10:39.631 --> 00:10:44.729
And<00:10:39.808> I<00:10:39.888> could<00:10:40.032> say<00:10:40.224> something<00:10:40.689> like,<00:10:41.090> ah,<00:10:41.314> you<00:10:41.395> know,<00:10:41.635> we<00:10:41.795> were<00:10:41.956> expecting<00:10:43.511> Simon<00:10:43.831> to<00:10:43.959> join<00:10:44.200> us<00:10:44.296> on<00:10:44.376> this<00:10:44.536> call.
00:10:44.921 --> 00:10:47.711
Can<00:10:45.081> you<00:10:45.162> call<00:10:45.338> Simon<00:10:45.675> on<00:10:45.739> his<00:10:45.899> mobile<00:10:46.460> and<00:10:46.684> join<00:10:46.941> him<00:10:47.230> into<00:10:47.342> the<00:10:47.422> meeting.
00:10:48.449 --> 00:10:50.919
And<00:10:48.545> Zeli<00:10:48.786> would<00:10:48.946> go<00:10:49.122> ahead,<00:10:49.572> make<00:10:49.812> that<00:10:49.908> phone<00:10:50.213> call<00:10:50.406> to<00:10:50.534> Simon.
00:10:51.336 --> 00:10:53.405
And<00:10:51.384> then<00:10:51.513> Simon<00:10:51.801> would<00:10:51.930> say<00:10:52.090> something<00:10:52.475> like,<00:10:52.700> oh,<00:10:52.796> sorry,<00:10:53.181> guys.
00:10:53.502 --> 00:10:56.630
I've<00:10:53.662> been<00:10:53.823> stuck<00:10:54.175> in<00:10:54.304> traffic,<00:10:55.186> and<00:10:55.427> I<00:10:55.507> couldn't<00:10:55.748> get<00:10:55.908> to<00:10:56.020> a<00:10:56.068> computer.
00:10:56.870 --> 00:10:57.656
But<00:10:57.047> thanks<00:10:57.287> for<00:10:57.368> calling.
00:10:57.705 --> 00:10:58.266
I'm<00:10:57.849> here<00:10:58.009> now.
00:10:58.330 --> 00:10:59.549
Can<00:10:58.475> we<00:10:58.571> continue<00:10:58.972> with<00:10:59.052> the<00:10:59.148> meeting?
00:11:00.159 --> 00:11:02.148
And<00:11:00.496> then<00:11:00.640> it<00:11:00.736> gets<00:11:01.362> a<00:11:01.442> lot<00:11:01.619> more<00:11:01.779> interesting.
00:11:02.260 --> 00:11:05.517
Someone<00:11:02.806> will<00:11:02.902> share<00:11:03.223> a<00:11:03.239> screen,<00:11:03.848> and<00:11:04.185> we<00:11:04.330> could<00:11:04.442> say<00:11:04.586> to<00:11:04.683> Zeli,<00:11:05.052> wait,<00:11:05.212> hold<00:11:05.453> on.
00:11:06.351 --> 00:11:08.998
Can<00:11:06.511> you<00:11:06.672> analyze<00:11:07.153> that<00:11:07.378> graph<00:11:07.650> and<00:11:07.779> tell<00:11:07.955> me<00:11:08.180> what<00:11:08.340> this<00:11:08.517> is<00:11:08.613> about?
00:11:09.704 --> 00:11:13.313
And<00:11:09.944> Zeli<00:11:10.201> would<00:11:10.361> give<00:11:10.522> you<00:11:10.602> some<00:11:11.580> indication<00:11:12.126> of<00:11:12.270> what's<00:11:12.447> seen<00:11:12.751> on<00:11:12.832> that<00:11:12.944> screen.
00:11:13.409 --> 00:11:21.507
And<00:11:13.489> then<00:11:13.634> you<00:11:13.714> can<00:11:13.810> go<00:11:13.971> a<00:11:13.987> step<00:11:14.275> further<00:11:14.917> and<00:11:15.254> ask<00:11:15.495> Zeli<00:11:15.799> questions<00:11:16.200> about<00:11:17.564> the<00:11:17.644> sentiment<00:11:18.302> what<00:11:18.462> someone<00:11:18.847> really<00:11:19.167> meant,<00:11:19.824> what<00:11:19.984> kind<00:11:20.129> of<00:11:20.161> follow-up<00:11:20.545> questions<00:11:20.946> should<00:11:21.106> I<00:11:21.331> ask?
00:11:21.619 --> 00:11:28.895
Because<00:11:22.148> quite<00:11:22.372> often<00:11:22.613> you're<00:11:22.789> sitting<00:11:23.094> in<00:11:23.270> meetings<00:11:23.895> and<00:11:24.953> if<00:11:25.113> it<00:11:25.193> goes<00:11:25.498> on<00:11:25.658> for<00:11:25.754> an<00:11:25.978> hour,<00:11:26.235> there's<00:11:26.379> a<00:11:26.619> lot<00:11:26.796> that's<00:11:26.972> said<00:11:27.902> and<00:11:28.078> you<00:11:28.222> want<00:11:28.302> to<00:11:28.382> bring<00:11:28.543> it<00:11:28.639> back.
00:11:29.280 --> 00:11:33.174
You<00:11:29.360> could<00:11:29.504> say<00:11:29.681> something<00:11:30.017> to<00:11:30.145> Selly<00:11:30.386> like,<00:11:30.626> you<00:11:30.658> know,<00:11:30.802> what's,<00:11:31.908> what's<00:11:32.020> the<00:11:32.149> real<00:11:32.389> essence<00:11:32.661> of<00:11:32.790> this<00:11:32.950> meeting?
00:11:33.431 --> 00:11:36.412
And<00:11:33.992> are<00:11:34.809> there<00:11:34.889> any<00:11:35.049> questions<00:11:35.514> that<00:11:35.690> I<00:11:35.771> need<00:11:35.995> to<00:11:36.155> ask?
00:11:36.957 --> 00:11:38.816
And<00:11:37.053> Selly<00:11:37.229> is<00:11:37.357> able<00:11:37.550> to<00:11:37.630> assist<00:11:38.014> you<00:11:38.175> in<00:11:38.255> real<00:11:38.511> time.
00:11:39.441 --> 00:11:42.181
So,<00:11:39.793> so<00:11:39.954> these<00:11:40.162> are<00:11:40.274> things<00:11:40.659> that<00:11:41.123> we're<00:11:41.220> doing<00:11:41.444> with<00:11:41.684> AI<00:11:41.941> today.
00:11:42.566 --> 00:11:47.470
And<00:11:42.983> we<00:11:43.447> look<00:11:43.608> at,<00:11:44.345> you<00:11:44.425> know,<00:11:44.665> large<00:11:44.970> companies<00:11:45.370> that<00:11:45.435> have<00:11:45.547> been<00:11:45.643> established<00:11:46.188> for<00:11:46.332> a<00:11:46.412> long<00:11:46.589> time<00:11:46.893> in<00:11:46.973> that<00:11:47.085> space.
00:11:48.031 --> 00:11:50.499
Let's<00:11:48.255> take<00:11:48.672> take<00:11:48.848> Zoom,<00:11:49.153> for<00:11:49.313> example,<00:11:49.858> or<00:11:49.954> Google<00:11:50.275> Meets.
00:11:50.980 --> 00:11:52.744
Uh,<00:11:51.077> it's<00:11:51.221> something<00:11:51.541> everyone<00:11:51.878> uses<00:11:52.263> every<00:11:52.503> day.
00:11:53.144 --> 00:12:02.105
And<00:11:53.385> what<00:11:53.545> I've<00:11:53.657> just,<00:11:54.026> uh,<00:11:54.363> explained<00:11:54.860> about<00:11:55.084> what<00:11:55.244> Zelly<00:11:55.549> could<00:11:55.725> do,<00:11:56.447> these<00:11:56.687> are<00:11:56.831> things<00:11:57.088> that,<00:11:57.713> uh,<00:11:58.274> we're<00:11:58.434> using<00:11:58.835> AI<00:11:59.332> to<00:11:59.556> bring<00:11:59.909> into,<00:12:00.598> uh,<00:12:00.855> an<00:12:01.079> AI-first<00:12:01.721> product.
00:12:02.618 --> 00:12:14.288
So<00:12:03.019> I<00:12:03.163> think<00:12:03.275> it<00:12:03.340> was<00:12:03.724> easier<00:12:03.997> for<00:12:04.205> us<00:12:04.446> to<00:12:04.622> build<00:12:04.862> these<00:12:05.343> because<00:12:05.888> we<00:12:05.985> started<00:12:06.385> with<00:12:06.530> the<00:12:06.690> AI<00:12:06.930> perspective<00:12:07.972> and<00:12:08.389> built<00:12:08.614> in,<00:12:09.014> um,<00:12:09.912> a<00:12:09.928> solution<00:12:10.778> that<00:12:11.018> used<00:12:11.339> AI<00:12:11.659> to<00:12:11.755> solve<00:12:12.060> problems,<00:12:12.621> and<00:12:12.701> then<00:12:12.958> everything<00:12:13.342> else<00:12:13.583> was<00:12:13.759> bolted<00:12:14.144> on.
00:12:14.641 --> 00:12:16.003
So<00:12:14.801> we<00:12:14.881> still<00:12:15.202> use<00:12:15.442> big<00:12:15.683> data.
00:12:16.084 --> 00:12:17.142
We<00:12:16.164> still<00:12:16.404> go<00:12:16.564> to<00:12:16.661> the<00:12:16.789> cloud.
00:12:17.206 --> 00:12:20.219
We<00:12:17.302> still<00:12:17.590> use<00:12:17.783> microservices<00:12:19.193> and<00:12:19.354> all<00:12:19.450> of<00:12:19.530> those<00:12:19.690> technologies.
00:12:20.300 --> 00:12:25.684
Piece<00:12:20.348> that's<00:12:20.556> still<00:12:20.812> used<00:12:21.197> on<00:12:21.373> SaaS<00:12:21.838> and<00:12:22.896> every<00:12:23.120> other<00:12:23.360> organization<00:12:24.017> like<00:12:24.258> Netflix,<00:12:24.819> Uber,<00:12:25.139> et<00:12:25.235> cetera.
00:12:25.924 --> 00:12:28.264
But<00:12:26.085> all<00:12:26.165> of<00:12:26.245> that<00:12:26.421> now<00:12:26.581> becomes<00:12:27.062> the<00:12:27.383> underlying<00:12:28.008> piece.
00:12:28.809 --> 00:12:32.847
And<00:12:29.065> the<00:12:29.209> core<00:12:29.530> of<00:12:29.690> what<00:12:29.850> we've<00:12:30.027> got<00:12:30.491> is<00:12:30.668> called<00:12:30.908> the<00:12:31.052> Zilli<00:12:31.373> artificial<00:12:31.950> reality<00:12:32.511> engine.
00:12:33.568 --> 00:12:41.437
Every<00:12:33.729> time<00:12:34.097> we<00:12:34.177> see<00:12:34.594> there's<00:12:35.075> a<00:12:35.091> new<00:12:35.620> agent<00:12:36.501> or<00:12:36.597> a<00:12:36.741> new<00:12:36.918> way<00:12:37.158> of<00:12:37.302> doing<00:12:37.623> things,<00:12:38.119> there<00:12:38.200> might<00:12:38.440> be<00:12:38.536> something<00:12:38.921> like<00:12:39.081> computer<00:12:39.562> use<00:12:39.802> that<00:12:39.962> comes<00:12:40.267> out<00:12:40.379> from<00:12:40.603> Claude,<00:12:40.940> et<00:12:41.020> cetera.
00:12:42.270 --> 00:12:43.776
Those<00:12:42.510> are<00:12:42.606> really<00:12:42.847> cool<00:12:43.087> fancy<00:12:43.408> names.
00:12:43.953 --> 00:12:46.853
And,<00:12:44.353> you<00:12:44.385> know,<00:12:44.626> the<00:12:44.690> tech<00:12:45.010> guys<00:12:45.315> have<00:12:45.587> to<00:12:45.715> get<00:12:45.876> involved<00:12:46.356> to<00:12:46.453> build<00:12:46.693> that.
00:12:47.238 --> 00:12:52.109
But<00:12:47.398> with<00:12:47.494> our<00:12:47.590> Zilli<00:12:47.991> artificial<00:12:48.616> reality<00:12:49.161> engine,<00:12:49.642> we've<00:12:49.818> actually<00:12:50.218> climbed<00:12:50.763> all<00:12:50.956> the<00:12:51.084> way<00:12:51.244> to<00:12:51.356> the<00:12:51.420> top<00:12:51.725> of<00:12:51.821> the<00:12:51.917> stack.
00:12:52.702 --> 00:13:00.076
What<00:12:52.847> that<00:12:53.023> means<00:12:53.488> is<00:12:53.889> our<00:12:54.001> Zelly<00:12:54.466> that<00:12:54.626> you<00:12:54.706> can<00:12:54.851> see<00:12:55.123> and<00:12:55.267> talk<00:12:55.524> to<00:12:55.892> is<00:12:56.069> the<00:12:56.373> AI<00:12:56.854> that<00:12:57.031> interfaces<00:12:58.057> with<00:12:58.297> all<00:12:58.393> of<00:12:58.473> the<00:12:58.553> technologies,<00:12:59.499> uh,<00:12:59.595> below<00:12:59.980> it.
00:13:00.541 --> 00:13:02.337
As<00:13:00.718> a<00:13:00.878> user,<00:13:01.519> it's<00:13:01.743> out<00:13:01.920> the<00:13:02.000> box.
00:13:02.561 --> 00:13:10.207
You<00:13:02.641> don't<00:13:03.042> need<00:13:03.427> to<00:13:03.747> actually,<00:13:04.709> um,<00:13:05.350> understand<00:13:06.168> or<00:13:06.200> know<00:13:06.713> how<00:13:07.114> the<00:13:07.194> stack<00:13:07.675> works<00:13:07.931> below,<00:13:08.733> but<00:13:09.133> you<00:13:09.214> wanna<00:13:09.454> get<00:13:09.614> something<00:13:10.015> done.
00:13:10.255 --> 00:13:12.900
I<00:13:10.320> wanna<00:13:10.496> say<00:13:10.656> to<00:13:10.752> Zelly,<00:13:11.121> hey<00:13:11.233> Zelly,<00:13:11.618> can<00:13:11.778> you<00:13:11.858> make<00:13:12.035> a<00:13:12.099> phone<00:13:12.404> call<00:13:12.580> for<00:13:12.740> me?
00:13:13.365 --> 00:13:24.009
And<00:13:13.622> you're<00:13:13.702> not<00:13:13.862> interested<00:13:14.584> that<00:13:14.808> Zelly's<00:13:15.065> gonna<00:13:15.241> have<00:13:15.449> to<00:13:15.545> go<00:13:15.722> down,<00:13:16.507> make<00:13:16.587> sure<00:13:16.828> your<00:13:16.972> logging<00:13:17.373> and<00:13:17.453> security's<00:13:18.030> in<00:13:18.174> place,<00:13:18.511> make<00:13:18.655> sure<00:13:18.832> that<00:13:18.992> you<00:13:19.072> got<00:13:19.232> your<00:13:19.858> big<00:13:20.034> data<00:13:20.290> systems<00:13:20.771> in<00:13:20.899> place<00:13:21.300> all<00:13:21.412> the<00:13:21.477> way<00:13:21.701> down<00:13:21.957> to<00:13:22.278> your<00:13:22.438> cloud<00:13:22.983> where<00:13:23.096> it's<00:13:23.240> got<00:13:23.464> disaster<00:13:23.769> recovery.
00:13:24.090 --> 00:13:31.397
Recovery<00:13:24.522> failover<00:13:24.939> zones,<00:13:25.948> and<00:13:26.205> you're<00:13:26.349> using<00:13:26.605> the<00:13:26.686> right<00:13:26.990> infrastructure,<00:13:27.647> the<00:13:27.727> right<00:13:27.968> hardware,<00:13:28.528> whether<00:13:28.705> it's<00:13:28.865> Inferentia<00:13:29.554> or<00:13:29.826> latest<00:13:30.596> NVIDIA<00:13:31.092> chips.
00:13:31.878 --> 00:13:34.586
And<00:13:31.974> then<00:13:32.519> everyone's<00:13:33.801> talking<00:13:34.041> about<00:13:34.281> LLMs.
00:13:34.762 --> 00:13:37.983
You<00:13:34.794> don't<00:13:34.922> have<00:13:35.083> to<00:13:35.179> be<00:13:35.419> concerned<00:13:35.980> which<00:13:36.285> LLM,<00:13:36.685> because<00:13:37.022> all<00:13:37.118> of<00:13:37.182> that's<00:13:37.422> done<00:13:37.647> for<00:13:37.887> you.
00:13:38.448 --> 00:13:39.554
And<00:13:38.544> you're<00:13:38.624> having<00:13:38.945> conversation.
00:13:39.602 --> 00:13:43.432
It's<00:13:39.730> almost<00:13:39.986> like<00:13:40.932> having<00:13:41.172> a<00:13:41.252> coworker<00:13:42.150> where<00:13:42.534> you<00:13:42.615> have<00:13:42.775> a<00:13:42.855> conversation.
00:13:43.480 --> 00:13:50.323
You<00:13:43.512> say<00:13:43.672> to<00:13:43.768> someone,<00:13:44.698> hey,<00:13:45.595> Sam,<00:13:46.877> can<00:13:47.021> you<00:13:47.118> please<00:13:47.358> tell<00:13:47.534> me<00:13:49.201> what<00:13:49.361> I<00:13:49.377> need<00:13:49.602> to<00:13:49.762> do<00:13:49.922> today?
00:13:50.483 --> 00:13:52.133
Because<00:13:51.044> I've<00:13:51.124> got<00:13:51.268> a<00:13:51.348> whole<00:13:51.508> lot<00:13:51.605> of<00:13:51.829> emails.
00:13:52.246 --> 00:13:53.576
Which<00:13:52.470> one's<00:13:52.710> the<00:13:52.807> most<00:13:52.983> important<00:13:53.448> one?
00:13:54.073 --> 00:13:57.614
Sam<00:13:54.249> would<00:13:54.409> be<00:13:54.505> able<00:13:54.633> to<00:13:54.730> go<00:13:54.890> ahead<00:13:55.355> and<00:13:56.232> that<00:13:56.252> perform<00:13:56.732> that<00:13:56.893> task<00:13:57.197> for<00:13:57.437> you.
00:13:58.014 --> 00:14:05.864
So<00:13:58.110> we're<00:13:58.254> at<00:13:58.399> the<00:13:58.559> point<00:13:58.959> where<00:13:59.536> you<00:13:59.616> could<00:13:59.776> do<00:13:59.873> something<00:14:00.257> as<00:14:00.289> simple<00:14:00.738> as<00:14:00.898> that,<00:14:01.779> or<00:14:01.843> you<00:14:01.939> could<00:14:02.083> take<00:14:02.276> it<00:14:02.356> a<00:14:02.404> step<00:14:02.660> further<00:14:03.221> and<00:14:03.381> say,<00:14:03.621> hey,<00:14:03.862> Zelly,<00:14:04.326> I<00:14:04.358> need<00:14:04.503> to<00:14:04.647> hire<00:14:04.903> a<00:14:04.919> marketing<00:14:05.384> manager.
00:14:06.585 --> 00:14:08.892
Can<00:14:06.762> you<00:14:06.842> go<00:14:06.986> ahead<00:14:07.450> and<00:14:07.771> show<00:14:07.947> me<00:14:08.091> all<00:14:08.203> the<00:14:08.348> resumes?
00:14:09.533 --> 00:14:13.955
And<00:14:10.414> off<00:14:10.527> that<00:14:10.735> resume,<00:14:11.231> you've<00:14:11.392> got<00:14:11.552> Zelly<00:14:11.808> scoring<00:14:12.353> all<00:14:12.449> those<00:14:12.657> resumes<00:14:13.138> and<00:14:13.234> says,<00:14:13.474> oh,<00:14:13.635> great.
00:14:14.836 --> 00:14:21.245
We<00:14:14.932> have<00:14:15.541> Jane<00:14:15.797> right<00:14:16.022> at<00:14:16.102> the<00:14:16.182> top<00:14:16.358> of<00:14:16.454> the<00:14:16.582> list<00:14:16.823> with<00:14:16.983> 95,<00:14:18.185> and<00:14:18.361> below<00:14:18.665> Jane,<00:14:19.482> we've<00:14:19.658> got<00:14:19.787> someone<00:14:20.107> with<00:14:20.203> a<00:14:20.219> score<00:14:20.524> of<00:14:20.684> 94.
00:14:21.789 --> 00:14:23.664
And<00:14:22.030> I<00:14:22.110> could<00:14:22.206> go<00:14:22.366> ahead<00:14:22.590> and<00:14:22.718> say,<00:14:22.783> oh,<00:14:22.831> that's<00:14:23.087> fantastic.
00:14:23.728 --> 00:14:24.833
Let's<00:14:23.888> delve<00:14:24.144> a<00:14:24.192> little<00:14:24.369> bit<00:14:24.449> further.
00:14:24.993 --> 00:14:26.419
Why<00:14:25.410> does<00:14:25.586> Jane<00:14:25.778> have<00:14:25.971> 95?
00:14:27.238 --> 00:14:29.712
And<00:14:27.752> Zelie<00:14:27.961> is<00:14:28.122> able<00:14:28.298> to<00:14:28.459> give<00:14:28.604> you<00:14:28.684> that<00:14:28.861> kind<00:14:29.037> of<00:14:29.182> information.
00:14:29.825 --> 00:14:33.568
Now<00:14:30.307> I'm<00:14:30.467> sitting<00:14:30.789> here<00:14:31.415> having<00:14:31.656> a<00:14:31.672> conversation<00:14:32.957> and<00:14:33.038> it<00:14:33.198> is<00:14:33.359> voice.
00:14:33.761 --> 00:14:34.371
You<00:14:33.905> are<00:14:34.002> talking.
00:14:34.467 --> 00:14:35.849
I<00:14:34.564> can,<00:14:35.030> I<00:14:35.046> can<00:14:35.206> do<00:14:35.303> it<00:14:35.431> hands-free.
00:14:35.929 --> 00:14:37.536
Like,<00:14:36.074> you<00:14:36.106> know,<00:14:36.556> look,<00:14:36.717> mom,<00:14:37.054> no<00:14:37.215> hands.
00:14:38.243 --> 00:14:41.118
And,<00:14:38.725> um,<00:14:39.399> Zelie's<00:14:40.090> giving<00:14:40.267> me<00:14:40.347> some<00:14:40.572> information.
00:14:41.311 --> 00:14:49.344
And<00:14:41.568> now<00:14:41.938> as<00:14:42.114> a<00:14:42.259> human,<00:14:42.741> as<00:14:42.902> a<00:14:42.918> hiring<00:14:43.319> manager,<00:14:43.962> I've<00:14:44.187> hired<00:14:44.588> people,<00:14:45.552> uh,<00:14:45.954> and<00:14:46.115> I've<00:14:46.211> gone<00:14:46.452> through<00:14:47.480> probably,<00:14:48.139> probably<00:14:48.348> 1,000<00:14:48.942> resumes<00:14:49.263> now.
00:14:49.970 --> 00:14:51.721
And<00:14:50.452> you<00:14:50.549> kind<00:14:50.709> of<00:14:50.774> understand<00:14:51.272> patterns.
00:14:51.770 --> 00:14:59.960
You<00:14:51.914> have<00:14:52.219> your,<00:14:52.557> your<00:14:52.862> own,<00:14:53.264> uh,<00:14:54.003> sort<00:14:55.351> of<00:14:56.010> way<00:14:56.315> of<00:14:56.411> doing<00:14:56.813> things,<00:14:57.134> but<00:14:57.391> you're<00:14:57.535> able<00:14:57.760> to<00:14:57.857> pick<00:14:58.081> out<00:14:58.258> things<00:14:58.884> based<00:14:59.157> on<00:14:59.222> your<00:14:59.366> experience.
00:15:00.025 --> 00:15:07.540
And<00:15:00.185> every<00:15:00.426> hiring<00:15:00.828> manager,<00:15:01.630> HR<00:15:02.176> recruiter<00:15:02.739> has<00:15:02.915> that<00:15:03.076> same<00:15:03.397> kind<00:15:04.200> of<00:15:04.344> higher-level<00:15:05.003> thinking<00:15:05.501> or<00:15:05.629> experience<00:15:06.191> that<00:15:06.352> allows<00:15:06.609> them<00:15:06.769> to<00:15:06.850> pick<00:15:07.074> out<00:15:07.171> a<00:15:07.251> good<00:15:07.396> one.
00:15:08.680 --> 00:15:18.669
And<00:15:09.258> what<00:15:10.061> we<00:15:10.158> do<00:15:10.607> is<00:15:11.491> we<00:15:11.828> can<00:15:12.534> use<00:15:12.791> that<00:15:13.113> high-level<00:15:13.675> thinking,<00:15:14.156> but<00:15:14.702> use<00:15:14.799> Zelly<00:15:15.264> more<00:15:15.666> as<00:15:16.228> a<00:15:16.886> doer<00:15:17.705> to<00:15:17.834> say,<00:15:18.091> okay,<00:15:18.332> great.
00:15:18.733 --> 00:15:37.243
If<00:15:18.958> you're<00:15:19.086> saying<00:15:19.536> that<00:15:19.713> Sam<00:15:20.805> or<00:15:21.062> Jane<00:15:21.608> is<00:15:22.491> the<00:15:22.587> best<00:15:22.828> candidate,<00:15:23.294> can<00:15:23.454> you<00:15:23.551> pull<00:15:23.711> out<00:15:24.285> Jane's<00:15:24.690> prescreening<00:15:25.338> interview,<00:15:26.293> and<00:15:26.714> now<00:15:27.184> you<00:15:27.281> get<00:15:27.994> a<00:15:28.253> prescreening<00:15:28.804> interview<00:15:29.128> that<00:15:29.290> Zelie<00:15:29.646> attended,<00:15:30.342> asked<00:15:30.585> questions,<00:15:31.573> given<00:15:31.800> you<00:15:31.897> a<00:15:31.913> sentiment,<00:15:32.480> a<00:15:32.545> summary,<00:15:33.192> weaknesses,<00:15:33.773> et<00:15:33.902> cetera,<00:15:34.564> the<00:15:34.709> typical<00:15:35.290> things<00:15:35.468> that<00:15:35.613> you'd<00:15:35.758> expect,<00:15:36.162> but<00:15:36.258> it's<00:15:36.404> all<00:15:36.581> done<00:15:36.888> for<00:15:37.130> you.
00:15:37.695 --> 00:15:53.054
And<00:15:38.663> now<00:15:38.905> you<00:15:38.985> could<00:15:39.082> say<00:15:39.260> something<00:15:39.647> along<00:15:39.889> the<00:15:39.970> lines<00:15:40.180> like,<00:15:40.517> um,<00:15:40.935> hold<00:15:41.176> on,<00:15:41.336> Zelie,<00:15:43.168> uh,<00:15:43.329> Jane<00:15:43.731> actually<00:15:44.213> has<00:15:45.096> 20<00:15:45.498> years<00:15:45.755> of<00:15:45.836> experience,<00:15:47.041> but<00:15:47.908> on<00:15:48.085> the<00:15:48.165> prescreening<00:15:48.728> interview,<00:15:49.694> your<00:15:49.857> notes<00:15:50.281> say<00:15:50.673> that,<00:15:51.309> uh,<00:15:51.570> she<00:15:51.733> seems<00:15:52.076> somewhat<00:15:52.549> inexperienced.
00:15:53.103 --> 00:15:53.658
Can<00:15:53.152> you<00:15:53.185> tell<00:15:53.234> me<00:15:53.266> a<00:15:53.283> little<00:15:53.413> bit<00:15:53.478> more<00:15:53.527> about<00:15:53.593> that?
00:15:55.898 --> 00:16:03.580
And<00:15:55.994> Zeli<00:15:56.235> would<00:15:56.331> say,<00:15:56.940> yeah,<00:15:57.373> the<00:15:57.518> reason<00:15:57.838> for<00:15:57.999> that<00:15:58.384> is,<00:15:59.186> although<00:15:59.362> Jane's<00:15:59.763> got<00:16:00.003> 20<00:16:00.324> years<00:16:00.501> of<00:16:00.581> experience,<00:16:01.286> Jane's<00:16:01.527> got<00:16:01.687> 20<00:16:01.944> years<00:16:02.104> of<00:16:02.185> experience<00:16:02.730> doing<00:16:02.970> the<00:16:03.067> same<00:16:03.516> thing.
00:16:04.029 --> 00:16:08.632
So<00:16:04.478> it's<00:16:04.574> pretty<00:16:04.751> much<00:16:05.135> one<00:16:05.376> year<00:16:06.098> that's<00:16:06.499> been<00:16:06.659> done<00:16:07.044> over<00:16:07.284> and<00:16:07.445> over<00:16:07.782> for<00:16:07.958> 20<00:16:08.343> years.
00:16:09.048 --> 00:16:13.988
And<00:16:09.385> then<00:16:09.546> you<00:16:09.626> kind<00:16:09.866> of<00:16:09.931> realize,<00:16:10.331> oh<00:16:10.428> wait,<00:16:10.732> yeah,<00:16:10.989> I<00:16:11.133> understand<00:16:11.550> that<00:16:11.711> concept<00:16:12.176> because<00:16:12.352> some<00:16:12.577> people<00:16:13.138> don't<00:16:13.379> grow<00:16:13.555> their<00:16:13.651> skills.
00:16:14.036 --> 00:16:15.207
They're<00:16:14.180> comfortable<00:16:14.678> in<00:16:14.758> a<00:16:14.822> position.
00:16:15.864 --> 00:16:23.017
And<00:16:16.281> therefore,<00:16:17.083> someone<00:16:17.404> who's<00:16:17.612> had<00:16:17.885> 5<00:16:18.190> jobs<00:16:18.607> probably<00:16:18.992> has<00:16:19.104> 5<00:16:19.425> different<00:16:20.275> ways<00:16:20.611> to<00:16:20.756> do<00:16:20.868> something<00:16:21.317> and<00:16:21.413> they've<00:16:21.638> learned,<00:16:21.894> they've<00:16:22.055> expanded<00:16:22.536> their<00:16:22.696> knowledge.
00:16:23.081 --> 00:16:24.669
It<00:16:23.177> allows<00:16:23.498> me<00:16:23.642> to<00:16:23.723> make<00:16:23.899> a<00:16:23.979> better<00:16:24.140> decision.
00:16:25.664 --> 00:16:30.144
But<00:16:25.808> then<00:16:26.210> the<00:16:26.370> AI<00:16:26.563> is<00:16:26.691> just<00:16:26.852> giving<00:16:27.029> me<00:16:27.109> information,<00:16:28.377> and<00:16:28.779> it's<00:16:28.955> done<00:16:29.180> all<00:16:29.277> of<00:16:29.373> this<00:16:29.517> quickly<00:16:29.822> for<00:16:30.015> me.
00:16:30.304 --> 00:16:31.958
I'm<00:16:30.400> still<00:16:30.625> making<00:16:30.962> the<00:16:31.059> decision<00:16:31.508> as<00:16:31.621> a<00:16:31.685> human.
00:16:32.006 --> 00:16:32.841
I'm<00:16:32.102> still<00:16:32.391> in<00:16:32.488> control.
00:16:33.355 --> 00:16:35.250
AI<00:16:33.997> is<00:16:34.254> not<00:16:34.350> going<00:16:34.479> to<00:16:34.559> get<00:16:34.720> the<00:16:34.800> best<00:16:35.057> of<00:16:35.201> me.
00:16:35.314 --> 00:16:37.273
I'm<00:16:35.394> going<00:16:35.603> to<00:16:35.683> make<00:16:35.860> sure<00:16:36.486> that<00:16:36.646> I'm<00:16:36.807> in<00:16:36.903> charge.
00:16:37.851 --> 00:16:43.936
And<00:16:37.947> then<00:16:38.091> I<00:16:38.204> might<00:16:38.413> want<00:16:38.493> to<00:16:38.525> go<00:16:38.670> a<00:16:38.686> step<00:16:38.991> further<00:16:39.296> and<00:16:39.472> say,<00:16:39.649> okay,<00:16:40.050> okay,<00:16:40.660> I<00:16:40.757> trust<00:16:41.062> you,<00:16:41.158> Zelly,<00:16:41.560> but<00:16:42.106> I<00:16:42.908> want<00:16:42.989> to<00:16:43.037> talk<00:16:43.230> to<00:16:43.326> a<00:16:43.390> real<00:16:43.631> person.
00:16:44.048 --> 00:16:45.172
Who's<00:16:44.289> Jane's<00:16:44.675> reference?
00:16:45.718 --> 00:16:53.409
And<00:16:46.216> you'd<00:16:46.377> get<00:16:46.537> something<00:16:47.003> like<00:16:48.849> Zelly<00:16:49.106> would<00:16:49.202> say,<00:16:49.411> okay,<00:16:49.652> look,<00:16:50.310> Jane<00:16:50.856> has<00:16:51.659> Anthony<00:16:52.863> as<00:16:52.976> a<00:16:53.040> reference.
00:16:54.227 --> 00:16:55.975
And<00:16:54.388> I'd<00:16:54.564> say,<00:16:54.724> "Zeli,<00:16:55.029> go<00:16:55.125> ahead,<00:16:55.446> call<00:16:55.751> Anthony.
00:16:56.071 --> 00:17:11.659
I<00:16:56.152> want<00:16:56.232> to<00:16:56.312> have<00:16:56.424> a<00:16:56.552> chat<00:16:56.793> with<00:16:56.889> him<00:16:57.050> right<00:16:57.290> now."<00:16:57.787> Zeli<00:16:58.076> would<00:16:58.172> call<00:16:58.477> Anthony,<00:16:59.279> call<00:16:59.471> me,<00:16:59.856> and<00:17:00.481> I<00:17:00.995> speak<00:17:01.299> to<00:17:01.444> Anthony<00:17:01.700> and<00:17:01.925> ask<00:17:02.165> Anthony<00:17:02.486> questions<00:17:02.983> that,<00:17:03.448> you<00:17:03.480> know,<00:17:03.849> I<00:17:04.090> want<00:17:04.218> to<00:17:04.266> know<00:17:04.587> because<00:17:05.453> I<00:17:05.469> might<00:17:05.773> ask<00:17:05.950> something<00:17:06.254> along<00:17:06.431> the<00:17:06.575> lines<00:17:06.896> like,<00:17:07.553> "Jane's<00:17:07.858> been<00:17:07.954> with<00:17:08.099> you<00:17:08.179> for<00:17:08.275> 20<00:17:08.660> years,<00:17:09.798> but<00:17:10.103> Jane<00:17:10.344> hasn't<00:17:10.616> been<00:17:10.761> given<00:17:10.985> any<00:17:11.146> promotions.
00:17:11.787 --> 00:17:18.234
Why<00:17:11.979> is<00:17:12.124> that?"<00:17:12.364> And<00:17:12.589> Anthony<00:17:12.845> would<00:17:12.942> say,<00:17:13.166> "Because,<00:17:13.968> you<00:17:14.000> know,<00:17:14.289> Jane<00:17:14.834> has<00:17:15.572> been<00:17:15.972> such<00:17:16.758> a<00:17:17.015> loyal<00:17:17.672> employee.
00:17:18.763 --> 00:17:21.298
Jane<00:17:19.003> wanted<00:17:19.324> nothing<00:17:19.661> more."<00:17:20.222> than<00:17:20.383> to<00:17:20.527> do<00:17:20.704> what<00:17:20.848> she's<00:17:21.089> doing.
00:17:21.410 --> 00:17:22.598
And<00:17:21.491> she<00:17:21.812> loved<00:17:22.069> what<00:17:22.229> she's<00:17:22.390> doing.
00:17:23.257 --> 00:17:27.366
And<00:17:23.674> therefore,<00:17:24.380> I<00:17:24.396> allowed<00:17:24.846> her<00:17:24.878> to<00:17:25.038> do<00:17:25.199> that<00:17:25.295> for<00:17:25.440> 20<00:17:25.825> years,<00:17:26.162> but<00:17:26.483> I<00:17:26.564> paid<00:17:26.853> her<00:17:26.885> handsomely.
00:17:27.832 --> 00:17:30.754
And<00:17:28.073> then<00:17:28.153> you<00:17:28.233> kind<00:17:28.410> of<00:17:28.442> realize,<00:17:28.731> okay,<00:17:29.132> okay,<00:17:29.309> maybe<00:17:29.614> Jane<00:17:29.855> wants<00:17:30.047> to<00:17:30.176> be<00:17:30.256> comfortable.
00:17:30.802 --> 00:17:37.159
And<00:17:30.898> I<00:17:31.043> delve<00:17:31.235> a<00:17:31.299> little<00:17:31.460> bit<00:17:31.620> more<00:17:32.407> and<00:17:32.969> ask<00:17:33.306> things<00:17:33.547> like,<00:17:34.253> was<00:17:34.366> Jane<00:17:34.671> interested<00:17:35.297> in<00:17:35.393> these<00:17:35.618> latest<00:17:36.437> marketing<00:17:36.902> trends?
00:17:37.480 --> 00:17:42.055
We<00:17:37.560> see<00:17:37.801> things<00:17:38.042> like<00:17:38.523> Russell<00:17:38.845> Brunson<00:17:39.631> and<00:17:39.952> all<00:17:40.033> these<00:17:40.193> other<00:17:40.370> guys<00:17:40.627> that<00:17:40.739> have<00:17:40.835> come<00:17:41.012> onto<00:17:41.188> the<00:17:41.253> scenes<00:17:41.574> recently.
00:17:42.280 --> 00:17:43.580
Has<00:17:42.457> Jane<00:17:42.617> been<00:17:42.778> interested<00:17:43.243> in<00:17:43.340> that?
00:17:43.725 --> 00:17:48.957
And<00:17:44.528> you<00:17:44.560> might<00:17:44.784> say<00:17:44.881> something<00:17:45.202> along<00:17:45.427> the<00:17:45.491> lines<00:17:45.555> of,<00:17:45.732> oh,<00:17:45.764> no,<00:17:45.940> no,<00:17:46.020> no,<00:17:46.229> Jane's<00:17:47.593> Jane<00:17:47.818> studied<00:17:48.235> 20<00:17:48.476> years<00:17:48.732> ago.
00:17:49.037 --> 00:17:51.877
She<00:17:49.278> is,<00:17:50.144> you<00:17:50.176> know,<00:17:50.320> she<00:17:50.705> loves<00:17:50.882> the<00:17:51.042> theory<00:17:51.283> she's<00:17:51.524> done<00:17:51.764> then.
00:17:52.566 --> 00:17:55.871
She<00:17:52.727> doesn't<00:17:53.032> believe<00:17:53.304> in<00:17:53.433> all<00:17:53.545> of<00:17:53.673> this<00:17:53.850> pop-up<00:17:54.331> marketing<00:17:54.893> and<00:17:54.973> this<00:17:55.117> new<00:17:55.229> psychology.
00:17:56.240 --> 00:17:58.646
So<00:17:56.497> she's<00:17:56.737> very<00:17:56.898> comfortable<00:17:57.379> doing<00:17:57.684> things<00:17:58.197> that<00:17:58.406> way.
00:17:58.807 --> 00:18:00.876
And<00:17:58.983> then<00:17:59.128> it<00:17:59.208> gives<00:17:59.384> me<00:17:59.449> a<00:17:59.465> better<00:17:59.689> understanding<00:18:00.331> of<00:18:00.411> what<00:18:00.588> we're<00:18:00.668> doing.
00:18:01.454 --> 00:18:03.363
And<00:18:01.630> it<00:18:01.710> allows<00:18:02.031> me<00:18:02.096> to<00:18:02.176> make<00:18:02.336> a<00:18:02.368> much<00:18:02.753> better<00:18:02.914> decision.
00:18:03.620 --> 00:18:05.769
And<00:18:03.940> I'd<00:18:04.037> go<00:18:04.197> on<00:18:04.357> to<00:18:04.438> the<00:18:04.518> second<00:18:04.839> candidate<00:18:05.256> or<00:18:05.400> third<00:18:05.641> one.
00:18:06.523 --> 00:18:13.373
But<00:18:06.988> where<00:18:07.165> the<00:18:07.309> real<00:18:08.368> value<00:18:08.930> is,<00:18:09.956> I'm<00:18:10.117> looking<00:18:10.357> at<00:18:10.438> the<00:18:10.470> top<00:18:10.774> 5<00:18:11.015> candidates<00:18:11.721> and<00:18:11.881> trying<00:18:12.058> to<00:18:12.202> do<00:18:12.298> due<00:18:12.459> diligence<00:18:13.020> around<00:18:13.325> that.
00:18:14.127 --> 00:18:21.885
And,<00:18:14.608> uh,<00:18:15.104> yeah,<00:18:15.361> so,<00:18:15.922> so<00:18:16.130> what<00:18:16.307> we'd,<00:18:16.611> uh,<00:18:17.028> do<00:18:17.333> in<00:18:17.429> that<00:18:17.653> case<00:18:17.910> is<00:18:18.006> I'd<00:18:18.134> probably<00:18:18.391> get<00:18:18.535> about<00:18:18.711> 250,<00:18:19.897> uh,<00:18:20.154> resumes<00:18:20.699> come<00:18:20.875> through<00:18:21.035> for<00:18:21.180> the<00:18:21.212> same<00:18:21.500> position.
00:18:21.997 --> 00:18:23.408
And,<00:18:22.222> and<00:18:22.318> that's,<00:18:22.638> uh,<00:18:22.799> pretty<00:18:22.975> standard.
00:18:23.760 --> 00:18:26.309
It's<00:18:23.905> between<00:18:24.209> 100<00:18:24.658> and<00:18:24.786> 250<00:18:25.684> consistently.
00:18:27.030 --> 00:18:30.974
And<00:18:27.463> Zelie's<00:18:27.832> actually<00:18:28.233> gone<00:18:28.409> ahead<00:18:28.810> and<00:18:28.970> done<00:18:29.210> the<00:18:29.274> same<00:18:29.691> for<00:18:29.996> all<00:18:30.252> of<00:18:30.396> the<00:18:30.477> candidates.
00:18:31.358 --> 00:18:34.179
And<00:18:31.775> I<00:18:31.855> could<00:18:32.015> go<00:18:32.176> and<00:18:32.320> cherry<00:18:32.576> pick<00:18:32.737> the<00:18:32.881> ones<00:18:33.137> that<00:18:33.282> I<00:18:33.298> actually<00:18:33.618> wanna<00:18:33.843> look<00:18:34.099> at.
00:18:34.724 --> 00:18:38.539
And<00:18:35.205> I,<00:18:35.606> uh,<00:18:36.263> I'm<00:18:36.391> gonna<00:18:36.504> say<00:18:36.600> something<00:18:37.049> that<00:18:37.305> might<00:18:37.546> be<00:18:37.626> a<00:18:37.642> little<00:18:37.786> bit<00:18:37.930> controversial.
00:18:38.828 --> 00:18:51.595
With<00:18:39.068> 250<00:18:40.174> resumes,<00:18:41.393> There's<00:18:41.569> not<00:18:41.794> too<00:18:41.938> many<00:18:42.115> people<00:18:42.516> that<00:18:42.676> can<00:18:42.837> tell<00:18:43.238> you<00:18:43.462> that<00:18:43.639> they<00:18:43.783> are<00:18:43.815> physically<00:18:44.441> doing<00:18:44.746> due<00:18:44.858> diligence<00:18:45.387> by<00:18:45.644> reading<00:18:46.045> every<00:18:46.270> single<00:18:46.526> resume,<00:18:47.409> giving<00:18:47.665> it<00:18:47.745> the<00:18:47.826> same<00:18:48.130> enthusiasm<00:18:48.852> and<00:18:49.077> energy<00:18:49.478> as<00:18:49.574> you<00:18:49.719> would<00:18:50.280> that<00:18:50.376> you<00:18:50.457> started<00:18:51.002> with<00:18:51.098> the<00:18:51.178> first<00:18:51.483> one.
00:18:52.205 --> 00:18:53.954
You<00:18:52.285> start<00:18:52.558> to<00:18:52.686> skim,<00:18:53.007> you<00:18:53.039> start<00:18:53.328> to<00:18:53.408> look<00:18:53.569> at<00:18:53.697> trends.
00:18:54.611 --> 00:18:59.777
And,<00:18:55.109> um,<00:18:55.574> from<00:18:55.750> the<00:18:55.895> research<00:18:56.552> and<00:18:56.633> the<00:18:56.793> user<00:18:57.034> testing<00:18:57.435> we've<00:18:57.675> done,<00:18:58.076> we<00:18:58.237> know<00:18:58.622> that<00:18:58.718> hiring<00:18:59.103> managers<00:18:59.520> do<00:18:59.680> this.
00:18:59.841 --> 00:19:01.108
We<00:18:59.937> know<00:19:00.146> that<00:19:00.322> recruiters<00:19:00.803> do<00:19:00.964> this.
00:19:01.670 --> 00:19:07.749
There's<00:19:02.071> always<00:19:02.327> that<00:19:02.488> little<00:19:02.728> caveat<00:19:03.370> that,<00:19:03.915> um,<00:19:04.798> I<00:19:05.135> build<00:19:05.359> a<00:19:05.439> personal<00:19:05.856> relationship<00:19:06.562> with<00:19:06.642> the<00:19:06.739> person<00:19:07.140> that<00:19:07.316> I'm<00:19:07.461> hiring.
00:19:08.246 --> 00:19:10.875
Which<00:19:08.423> is<00:19:08.583> true,<00:19:09.144> but<00:19:09.288> what<00:19:09.400> about<00:19:09.625> the<00:19:09.769> person<00:19:10.106> you're<00:19:10.202> not<00:19:10.491> hiring?
00:19:11.052 --> 00:19:14.113
There's,<00:19:11.228> there's,<00:19:11.468> there's,<00:19:11.693> there's<00:19:11.933> hidden<00:19:12.270> gems<00:19:12.815> that<00:19:12.927> you<00:19:13.007> never<00:19:13.392> get<00:19:13.616> to<00:19:13.697> speak<00:19:13.953> to.
00:19:14.674 --> 00:19:17.945
Now<00:19:14.995> we<00:19:15.075> have,<00:19:15.700> uh,<00:19:15.957> Zelly<00:19:16.358> that's<00:19:16.518> doing<00:19:16.758> the<00:19:16.838> pre-screening<00:19:17.480> interview.
00:19:18.105 --> 00:19:20.493
I<00:19:18.121> could<00:19:18.361> go<00:19:18.746> in<00:19:19.083> and<00:19:19.227> look<00:19:19.339> at<00:19:19.548> any<00:19:19.724> of<00:19:19.820> those<00:19:20.044> interviews.
00:19:21.311 --> 00:19:23.988
And<00:19:21.567> what<00:19:21.728> we<00:19:21.808> find<00:19:22.112> is<00:19:22.193> not<00:19:22.593> everyone<00:19:23.010> can<00:19:23.154> write<00:19:23.411> a<00:19:23.475> good<00:19:23.635> resume.
00:19:24.597 --> 00:19:31.266
Um,<00:19:25.014> Jane,<00:19:25.318> who<00:19:25.415> hasn't<00:19:25.719> written<00:19:25.976> one<00:19:26.200> in<00:19:26.280> 20<00:19:26.601> years,<00:19:27.178> a<00:19:27.258> resume<00:19:27.643> looks<00:19:27.883> very<00:19:28.124> different<00:19:28.765> from<00:19:28.925> someone<00:19:29.182> who's,<00:19:29.486> uh,<00:19:29.566> who's<00:19:29.807> changed<00:19:30.288> jobs<00:19:30.480> 6<00:19:30.769> months<00:19:31.025> ago.
00:19:32.324 --> 00:19:36.251
So<00:19:32.708> what<00:19:32.869> Zelly<00:19:33.173> allows<00:19:33.526> us<00:19:33.670> to<00:19:33.766> do<00:19:33.911> in<00:19:33.991> that<00:19:34.151> case<00:19:34.456> is<00:19:34.552> go<00:19:34.776> in,<00:19:34.953> look<00:19:35.113> at<00:19:35.177> those<00:19:35.353> pre-screening<00:19:35.898> interviews.
00:19:36.299 --> 00:19:39.569
I<00:19:36.379> could<00:19:36.475> see<00:19:36.652> the<00:19:36.780> questions<00:19:37.197> that<00:19:37.357> Zelly<00:19:37.742> asked<00:19:38.463> and<00:19:38.623> see<00:19:38.816> the<00:19:38.944> responses.
00:19:40.066 --> 00:19:42.649
And<00:19:40.644> we,<00:19:41.045> we<00:19:41.189> understand<00:19:41.687> that<00:19:41.847> people<00:19:42.152> are<00:19:42.248> different.
00:19:42.874 --> 00:19:48.713
Um,<00:19:43.210> Sam,<00:19:43.531> our<00:19:43.692> co-founder,<00:19:44.959> uh,<00:19:45.392> she<00:19:45.697> used<00:19:45.938> to<00:19:46.082> be<00:19:46.178> an<00:19:46.323> organizational<00:19:47.221> psychologist<00:19:48.103> by<00:19:48.264> profession.
00:19:49.210 --> 00:19:52.386
So<00:19:49.451> she<00:19:49.611> understands<00:19:50.172> the<00:19:50.253> psychology<00:19:50.830> of<00:19:50.975> hiring,<00:19:51.696> uh,<00:19:51.873> really<00:19:52.178> well.
00:19:53.060 --> 00:19:59.252
And<00:19:53.541> when<00:19:53.718> we,<00:19:54.038> we<00:19:54.343> look<00:19:54.504> at<00:19:54.664> the<00:19:54.841> actual<00:19:55.242> interviews<00:19:55.947> and<00:19:56.204> we<00:19:56.284> look<00:19:56.445> at<00:19:56.525> the<00:19:56.605> resumes,<00:19:57.407> we<00:19:57.503> see<00:19:57.728> something<00:19:58.354> a<00:19:58.434> little<00:19:58.610> bit<00:19:58.835> different.
00:19:59.749 --> 00:20:08.556
Sometimes,<00:20:00.840> uh,<00:20:01.562> people<00:20:01.899> will<00:20:02.220> bring<00:20:02.460> an<00:20:02.781> energy<00:20:03.326> to<00:20:03.728> that<00:20:03.968> interview<00:20:04.465> where<00:20:04.626> you<00:20:04.770> realize,<00:20:05.187> wait<00:20:05.348> a<00:20:05.412> minute,<00:20:05.749> this<00:20:05.989> person<00:20:06.952> knows<00:20:07.497> what<00:20:07.674> they're<00:20:07.834> talking<00:20:08.235> about.
00:20:09.101 --> 00:20:12.714
And<00:20:09.438> when<00:20:09.583> you<00:20:09.663> look<00:20:09.775> at<00:20:09.839> the<00:20:09.984> resume,<00:20:10.545> you<00:20:10.577> see<00:20:10.963> they<00:20:11.043> didn't<00:20:11.380> really<00:20:11.686> articulate<00:20:12.328> that<00:20:12.569> well.
00:20:13.293 --> 00:20:22.933
They,<00:20:13.935> they<00:20:14.176> may<00:20:14.401> have<00:20:14.964> given<00:20:15.156> a<00:20:15.221> broad<00:20:15.606> overview,<00:20:16.828> but<00:20:16.988> when<00:20:17.133> you<00:20:17.310> ask<00:20:17.470> the<00:20:17.615> questions<00:20:17.968> and<00:20:18.113> delve<00:20:18.354> in,<00:20:18.450> in<00:20:18.579> the<00:20:18.675> interview,<00:20:19.077> you<00:20:19.157> realize<00:20:19.559> that,<00:20:19.800> wow,<00:20:20.105> this,<00:20:20.427> this<00:20:20.684> is<00:20:20.909> really<00:20:21.086> someone<00:20:21.552> I<00:20:21.632> would<00:20:21.873> love<00:20:22.130> to<00:20:22.210> have<00:20:22.387> on<00:20:22.532> my<00:20:22.612> team.
00:20:23.496 --> 00:20:26.629
Can<00:20:23.576> I<00:20:23.656> give<00:20:23.801> you<00:20:23.833> a<00:20:23.849> little,<00:20:24.283> uh,<00:20:25.038> a<00:20:25.103> real<00:20:25.826> live<00:20:26.067> scenario?
00:20:27.288 --> 00:20:29.730
So<00:20:27.432> we<00:20:27.577> like<00:20:27.818> this<00:20:27.979> concept<00:20:28.541> of<00:20:28.718> drink<00:20:29.023> your<00:20:29.184> own<00:20:29.345> champagne.
00:20:30.309 --> 00:20:36.575
So<00:20:30.726> we<00:20:30.887> use<00:20:31.048> the<00:20:31.128> product<00:20:31.851> for,<00:20:32.558> uh,<00:20:32.735> for<00:20:32.912> our<00:20:33.121> own<00:20:33.217> hiring<00:20:33.763> and<00:20:33.860> for<00:20:33.956> our<00:20:34.165> own<00:20:34.342> needs,<00:20:34.968> and<00:20:35.402> it's<00:20:35.611> worked<00:20:36.190> really<00:20:36.495> well.
00:20:36.912 --> 00:20:42.578
So<00:20:37.217> one<00:20:37.330> of<00:20:37.458> the<00:20:37.490> star<00:20:37.811> developers<00:20:38.421> on<00:20:38.501> the<00:20:38.533> team,<00:20:39.785> we<00:20:40.347> looked<00:20:40.523> at<00:20:40.588> his<00:20:40.748> resume<00:20:41.390> and<00:20:41.647> it<00:20:41.727> kind<00:20:41.904> of<00:20:41.968> checked<00:20:42.353> out.
00:20:43.091 --> 00:20:48.291
And<00:20:43.236> then<00:20:43.332> we<00:20:43.412> figured,<00:20:43.797> oh,<00:20:43.894> look,<00:20:44.455> we<00:20:44.616> could<00:20:44.840> do<00:20:44.937> with<00:20:45.033> a<00:20:45.097> junior<00:20:45.418> person<00:20:45.739> on<00:20:45.819> the<00:20:45.900> team<00:20:46.766> and<00:20:47.087> let's<00:20:47.264> call<00:20:47.424> him<00:20:47.585> in<00:20:47.681> for<00:20:47.809> an<00:20:47.890> interview.
00:20:48.387 --> 00:20:53.972
We<00:20:48.532> called<00:20:48.772> him<00:20:48.869> in<00:20:48.949> for<00:20:49.093> an<00:20:49.174> interview,<00:20:49.976> had<00:20:50.153> a<00:20:50.169> chat,<00:20:51.340> and<00:20:52.560> English<00:20:52.881> was<00:20:53.122> his<00:20:53.282> second<00:20:53.603> language.
00:20:54.470 --> 00:20:58.594
And<00:20:54.807> when<00:20:54.951> someone's<00:20:55.352> English<00:20:55.625> is<00:20:55.673> a<00:20:55.689> second<00:20:56.075> language,<00:20:56.813> there's<00:20:56.973> certain<00:20:57.214> words<00:20:57.455> they<00:20:57.535> wouldn't<00:20:57.760> say<00:20:58.177> clearly.
00:20:58.723 --> 00:21:03.393
Like,<00:20:58.979> you<00:20:59.060> know,<00:20:59.958> say<00:21:00.119> something<00:21:00.504> like,<00:21:00.889> oh,<00:21:00.921> let<00:21:01.050> me<00:21:01.371> present<00:21:01.724> this<00:21:01.868> to<00:21:01.948> you,<00:21:02.093> or<00:21:02.173> let<00:21:02.269> me<00:21:02.430> present<00:21:02.976> this<00:21:03.152> to<00:21:03.232> you.
00:21:03.858 --> 00:21:11.260
And<00:21:04.661> you<00:21:04.741> kind<00:21:04.901> of<00:21:04.998> get<00:21:05.303> what<00:21:05.479> they're<00:21:05.559> saying,<00:21:06.041> but<00:21:06.747> Humans<00:21:08.145> naturally<00:21:09.959> have<00:21:10.393> a<00:21:10.457> reaction<00:21:10.939> to<00:21:11.036> that.
00:21:11.726 --> 00:21:18.841
And<00:21:12.850> when<00:21:12.947> I<00:21:12.963> spoke<00:21:13.332> to<00:21:13.429> this<00:21:13.589> person,<00:21:15.035> the<00:21:15.115> interview<00:21:15.500> went<00:21:15.741> well<00:21:15.918> in<00:21:15.998> the<00:21:16.078> sense<00:21:16.319> that<00:21:16.576> he<00:21:16.705> understood<00:21:17.283> the<00:21:17.379> technical<00:21:17.909> side<00:21:18.150> of<00:21:18.247> things<00:21:18.471> really<00:21:18.712> well.
00:21:19.435 --> 00:21:27.257
And<00:21:19.628> I<00:21:19.756> could<00:21:19.869> see<00:21:20.158> that,<00:21:20.334> well,<00:21:20.575> there's<00:21:20.800> a<00:21:20.816> little<00:21:20.977> bit<00:21:21.057> of<00:21:21.154> a<00:21:21.202> language<00:21:21.619> barrier<00:21:22.021> being<00:21:22.181> second<00:21:22.503> language<00:21:23.386> English<00:21:23.579> speaker,<00:21:24.510> but<00:21:25.217> let's<00:21:25.859> delve<00:21:26.100> onto<00:21:26.277> the<00:21:26.357> technical<00:21:26.839> questions.
00:21:27.305 --> 00:21:35.270
The<00:21:27.369> moment<00:21:27.642> I<00:21:27.658> started<00:21:28.108> asking<00:21:28.365> technical<00:21:28.847> questions,<00:21:29.794> he<00:21:29.874> was<00:21:30.035> able<00:21:30.196> to<00:21:30.276> answer<00:21:30.597> them<00:21:30.918> like<00:21:31.320> absolutely<00:21:31.721> fluently<00:21:32.091> because<00:21:33.327> He<00:21:33.488> understands<00:21:33.921> the<00:21:33.985> technology,<00:21:34.451> he's<00:21:34.772> worked<00:21:35.013> with<00:21:35.173> it.
00:21:35.574 --> 00:21:38.079
And<00:21:36.056> then<00:21:36.233> I<00:21:36.249> said<00:21:36.489> to<00:21:36.618> him,<00:21:36.939> okay,<00:21:37.517> fantastic.
00:21:38.159 --> 00:21:42.268
You<00:21:38.239> know,<00:21:38.962> let's<00:21:40.149> move<00:21:40.246> forward,<00:21:40.792> asked<00:21:40.952> him<00:21:41.113> what<00:21:41.193> his<00:21:41.353> expectations<00:21:42.156> are.
00:21:42.477 --> 00:21:45.062
And<00:21:43.456> he<00:21:43.617> says,<00:21:44.018> yeah,<00:21:44.195> I'm<00:21:44.403> ready<00:21:44.580> to<00:21:44.741> work.
00:21:45.399 --> 00:21:46.763
I'm<00:21:45.559> available<00:21:46.169> at<00:21:46.266> any<00:21:46.442> time.
00:21:46.827 --> 00:21:50.359
I<00:21:46.908> can<00:21:47.132> even<00:21:47.309> start<00:21:47.694> today<00:21:47.951> if<00:21:48.096> you<00:21:48.192> want<00:21:48.433> me<00:21:48.513> to,<00:21:49.300> and<00:21:49.412> I'll<00:21:49.701> work<00:21:49.893> for<00:21:50.038> free.
00:21:51.065 --> 00:21:53.586
And<00:21:51.547> I<00:21:51.579> said,<00:21:51.804> wait,<00:21:52.045> what<00:21:52.141> do<00:21:52.221> you<00:21:52.285> mean<00:21:52.382> you'll<00:21:52.751> work<00:21:52.927> for<00:21:53.088> free?
00:21:53.955 --> 00:21:59.092
You've<00:21:54.517> got<00:21:54.854> a<00:21:55.255> lot<00:21:55.416> of<00:21:55.496> experience<00:21:56.042> and<00:21:56.138> skill<00:21:56.395> here,<00:21:57.085> and<00:21:58.048> why<00:21:58.209> would<00:21:58.369> you<00:21:58.466> work<00:21:58.690> for<00:21:58.787> free?
00:21:59.653 --> 00:22:04.382
And<00:21:59.702> he<00:21:59.750> says<00:21:59.991> to<00:22:00.135> me,<00:22:00.183> look,<00:22:00.627> I've<00:22:01.115> been<00:22:01.212> going<00:22:01.521> in<00:22:01.618> for<00:22:01.716> interviews<00:22:02.496> and<00:22:02.854> I<00:22:03.000> am<00:22:03.081> not<00:22:03.309> able<00:22:03.569> to<00:22:03.731> land<00:22:03.975> a<00:22:04.057> job.
00:22:05.015 --> 00:22:11.430
And<00:22:05.601> therefore,<00:22:07.730> I<00:22:07.810> will<00:22:07.988> prove<00:22:08.311> myself<00:22:08.780> when<00:22:08.893> I<00:22:08.958> come<00:22:09.200> into<00:22:09.443> the<00:22:09.604> organization<00:22:10.251> because<00:22:10.477> no<00:22:10.558> one's<00:22:10.735> given<00:22:10.978> me<00:22:11.059> a<00:22:11.123> chance.
00:22:12.254 --> 00:22:29.350
And<00:22:12.513> what<00:22:12.691> we<00:22:12.772> found<00:22:13.079> was<00:22:14.113> when<00:22:14.226> he<00:22:14.436> went<00:22:14.630> in<00:22:14.759> for<00:22:14.921> interviews<00:22:16.158> and<00:22:16.335> you<00:22:16.416> find<00:22:16.658> the<00:22:16.738> hiring<00:22:17.125> manager<00:22:17.849> is<00:22:17.946> sitting<00:22:18.188> there<00:22:18.445> across<00:22:18.735> someone<00:22:19.379> and<00:22:19.863> the<00:22:19.943> person's<00:22:20.426> explaining<00:22:21.264> something,<00:22:21.731> they're<00:22:21.956> answering<00:22:22.230> a<00:22:22.295> question,<00:22:23.164> the<00:22:23.245> hiring<00:22:23.503> manager<00:22:23.825> may<00:22:24.050> raise<00:22:24.372> an<00:22:24.453> eyebrow<00:22:25.038> or<00:22:25.203> may<00:22:25.765> have<00:22:25.947> this<00:22:26.195> unconscious<00:22:26.939> leakage<00:22:27.652> that<00:22:27.892> now<00:22:28.148> throws<00:22:28.453> the<00:22:28.533> candidate<00:22:28.933> off<00:22:29.094> track.
00:22:29.414 --> 00:22:31.545
Now<00:22:29.574> the<00:22:29.654> candidate<00:22:30.071> is<00:22:30.279> not<00:22:30.455> putting<00:22:30.696> their<00:22:30.840> best<00:22:31.080> foot<00:22:31.257> forward.
00:22:32.122 --> 00:22:44.939
And<00:22:32.298> by<00:22:32.458> the<00:22:32.522> time<00:22:32.779> you're<00:22:32.939> done<00:22:33.804> and<00:22:34.284> the<00:22:34.317> candidate<00:22:34.765> didn't<00:22:35.005> really<00:22:35.182> present<00:22:35.726> well<00:22:36.143> in<00:22:36.223> the<00:22:36.367> interview<00:22:37.248> and<00:22:37.425> they<00:22:37.569> kind<00:22:37.745> of<00:22:38.386> felt<00:22:38.867> judged,<00:22:39.443> so<00:22:39.972> it<00:22:40.084> made<00:22:40.373> them<00:22:40.789> go<00:22:40.949> into<00:22:41.206> their<00:22:41.302> shell<00:22:41.654> a<00:22:41.670> little<00:22:41.911> bit<00:22:42.696> and<00:22:43.577> you<00:22:43.609> kind<00:22:43.769> of<00:22:43.913> lose<00:22:44.137> the<00:22:44.234> best<00:22:44.474> candidates.
00:22:45.259 --> 00:22:47.165
And<00:22:45.595> we<00:22:45.756> ended<00:22:45.980> up<00:22:46.140> hiring<00:22:46.573> this<00:22:46.717> person.
00:22:47.742 --> 00:22:56.185
And<00:22:48.223> after<00:22:48.864> I<00:22:49.024> hired<00:22:49.408> him,<00:22:50.946> we<00:22:51.027> had<00:22:51.187> a<00:22:51.203> little<00:22:52.629> project<00:22:53.029> that<00:22:53.125> we<00:22:53.205> started<00:22:53.526> working<00:22:53.910> on<00:22:54.391> and<00:22:54.808> on<00:22:54.968> day<00:22:55.192> one,<00:22:55.352> he<00:22:55.432> hit<00:22:55.593> the<00:22:55.673> ground<00:22:55.913> running.
00:22:56.330 --> 00:22:57.723
We<00:22:56.410> did<00:22:56.570> pay<00:22:56.698> him,<00:22:56.810> by<00:22:56.954> the<00:22:56.986> way,<00:22:57.147> I<00:22:57.195> have<00:22:57.371> to<00:22:57.451> mention<00:22:57.675> that.
00:22:57.820 --> 00:22:59.849
Pay<00:22:58.180> him<00:22:58.320> well,<00:22:58.520> we<00:22:58.680> pay<00:22:58.780> him<00:22:58.900> for<00:22:59.020> what<00:22:59.200> he's<00:22:59.400> worth.
00:23:00.720 --> 00:23:07.520
Yeah,<00:23:01.820> it<00:23:01.940> was<00:23:02.040> pretty<00:23:02.260> interesting<00:23:02.760> and<00:23:03.120> he<00:23:03.320> did<00:23:03.520> really<00:23:03.760> well<00:23:04.120> and<00:23:04.380> we<00:23:04.700> went<00:23:04.860> on<00:23:05.060> a<00:23:05.120> little<00:23:05.360> longer<00:23:06.100> than<00:23:06.280> expected<00:23:06.700> for<00:23:06.880> the<00:23:07.020> day.
00:23:07.760 --> 00:23:14.100
And<00:23:08.020> then<00:23:08.080> he<00:23:08.200> said<00:23:08.320> to<00:23:08.520> me,<00:23:08.780> oh<00:23:08.920> no,<00:23:08.921> no<00:23:09.040> problem,<00:23:09.280> I<00:23:09.420> can<00:23:09.540> stay<00:23:09.760> a<00:23:09.880> little<00:23:09.980> later<00:23:10.240> to<00:23:10.320> finish<00:23:10.580> this,<00:23:11.260> but<00:23:11.420> I<00:23:11.560> just<00:23:11.720> got<00:23:11.780> to<00:23:12.120> be<00:23:12.400> home<00:23:12.880> at<00:23:13.160> 7.
00:23:14.100 --> 00:23:17.700
It's<00:23:14.540> Uber<00:23:14.880> Eats<00:23:15.080> and<00:23:15.620> he's<00:23:16.280> a<00:23:16.400> second<00:23:16.600> language<00:23:17.020> English<00:23:17.240> speaker.
00:23:17.700 --> 00:23:19.200
So<00:23:17.900> I<00:23:18.060> said,<00:23:18.360> okay,<00:23:18.500> no<00:23:18.700> problem.
00:23:19.940 --> 00:23:23.920
Then<00:23:20.000> the<00:23:21.080> second<00:23:22.140> time<00:23:22.400> that<00:23:22.640> happened<00:23:22.960> was<00:23:23.180> a<00:23:23.340> few<00:23:23.420> days<00:23:23.640> ago.
00:23:23.920 --> 00:23:26.320
We<00:23:24.180> needed<00:23:24.380> to<00:23:24.540> stay<00:23:24.700> a<00:23:24.860> little<00:23:24.940> longer<00:23:25.360> and<00:23:25.500> he<00:23:25.700> said<00:23:25.780> the<00:23:25.920> same<00:23:26.100> thing.
00:23:26.320 --> 00:23:27.800
He's<00:23:26.480> got<00:23:26.520> to<00:23:26.640> be<00:23:26.740> home<00:23:26.840> at<00:23:26.980> 7<00:23:27.180> for<00:23:27.340> Uber<00:23:27.640> Eats.
00:23:27.800 --> 00:23:34.098
And<00:23:27.820> I'm<00:23:27.840> thinking,<00:23:27.860> wait<00:23:27.880> a<00:23:27.900> minute,<00:23:27.920> this<00:23:27.940> guy<00:23:30.072> a<00:23:30.088> guy<00:23:30.554> who<00:23:30.650> said<00:23:30.858> he'd<00:23:31.019> work<00:23:31.259> for<00:23:31.355> free<00:23:31.756> and,<00:23:32.238> you<00:23:32.318> know,<00:23:32.703> he<00:23:32.863> really<00:23:33.200> needed<00:23:33.457> a<00:23:33.521> job<00:23:33.761> right<00:23:34.002> now.
00:23:34.627 --> 00:23:38.445
Then<00:23:34.724> I<00:23:34.740> said<00:23:34.900> to<00:23:34.964> him,<00:23:35.205> don't<00:23:35.429> you<00:23:35.510> find<00:23:35.910> Uber<00:23:36.071> Eats<00:23:36.311> a<00:23:36.327> little<00:23:36.488> bit<00:23:36.584> expensive<00:23:37.450> eating<00:23:37.691> it<00:23:37.915> all<00:23:38.012> the<00:23:38.092> time?
00:23:38.958 --> 00:23:40.899
He<00:23:39.054> says,<00:23:39.375> oh<00:23:39.455> no,<00:23:39.615> no,<00:23:39.856> I<00:23:39.936> don't<00:23:40.321> eat<00:23:40.482> Uber<00:23:40.674> Eats.
00:23:40.963 --> 00:23:44.138
I<00:23:40.979> actually<00:23:41.219> drive<00:23:41.604> Uber<00:23:41.925> Eats<00:23:42.053> because<00:23:43.064> I<00:23:43.208> couldn't<00:23:43.385> get<00:23:43.465> a<00:23:43.529> job<00:23:43.769> before<00:23:44.026> this.
00:23:44.186 --> 00:23:46.095
So<00:23:44.347> I've<00:23:44.507> been<00:23:44.668> doing<00:23:44.972> Uber<00:23:45.229> Eats<00:23:45.454> as<00:23:45.566> a<00:23:45.614> driver.
00:23:46.817 --> 00:23:54.660
And<00:23:47.218> that's<00:23:47.956> just<00:23:48.132> a<00:23:48.196> good<00:23:48.341> example<00:23:48.902> of<00:23:48.998> where<00:23:49.159> the<00:23:49.239> technology<00:23:49.880> was<00:23:50.105> able<00:23:50.361> to<00:23:51.564> make<00:23:51.789> a<00:23:51.821> candidate<00:23:52.286> shine,<00:23:52.687> make<00:23:52.847> sure<00:23:53.072> that<00:23:53.232> the<00:23:53.329> best<00:23:53.553> candidates<00:23:54.034> came<00:23:54.275> forward.
00:23:55.077 --> 00:24:01.317
And<00:23:55.317> as<00:23:55.494> a<00:23:55.510> result,<00:23:55.975> as<00:23:56.039> an<00:23:56.200> organization,<00:23:57.018> I<00:23:57.098> can't<00:23:57.483> tell<00:23:57.803> you<00:23:57.948> how<00:23:58.060> valuable<00:23:59.006> he<00:23:59.119> is<00:23:59.408> as<00:23:59.584> a<00:23:59.664> person<00:24:00.306> to<00:24:00.402> our<00:24:00.450> organization.
00:24:01.814 --> 00:24:02.568
That's<00:24:01.991> incredible.
00:24:02.697 --> 00:24:15.404
That's<00:24:02.937> actually<00:24:03.194> so<00:24:03.756> such<00:24:04.141> an<00:24:04.397> interesting<00:24:05.183> and,<00:24:06.307> um,<00:24:06.884> perfect<00:24:07.446> use<00:24:07.686> case<00:24:08.007> for<00:24:08.232> AI<00:24:09.515> that<00:24:09.692> will<00:24:09.836> kind<00:24:09.997> of<00:24:10.093> weed<00:24:10.334> out<00:24:10.494> a<00:24:10.574> lot<00:24:10.815> of<00:24:10.959> hiring<00:24:11.296> problems<00:24:11.617> that<00:24:11.713> we've<00:24:11.858> seen<00:24:12.082> in<00:24:12.115> the<00:24:12.243> past,<00:24:13.125> um,<00:24:13.542> and<00:24:13.687> kind<00:24:13.863> of<00:24:13.928> find<00:24:14.264> those,<00:24:14.810> uh,<00:24:15.067> gems.
00:24:15.452 --> 00:24:16.414
That's,<00:24:15.692> that's<00:24:15.869> beautiful,<00:24:16.270> man.
00:24:16.511 --> 00:24:17.056
That's<00:24:16.655> so<00:24:16.912> cool.
00:24:17.377 --> 00:24:18.308
How<00:24:17.473> big<00:24:17.650> is<00:24:17.794> the<00:24:17.874> team<00:24:18.099> right<00:24:18.195> now?
00:24:18.981 --> 00:24:26.266
Uh,<00:24:19.078> right<00:24:19.238> now<00:24:19.399> we<00:24:19.479> have<00:24:19.639> a<00:24:19.655> team<00:24:19.944> of<00:24:20.105> 12<00:24:20.361> people,<00:24:21.388> and,<00:24:21.950> uh,<00:24:22.367> we're<00:24:22.511> going<00:24:22.752> through<00:24:22.848> the<00:24:22.928> next<00:24:23.169> stage<00:24:23.731> where<00:24:24.212> we<00:24:24.677> are<00:24:24.934> currently<00:24:25.319> doing,<00:24:25.720> doing<00:24:25.913> a<00:24:26.041> raise.
00:24:26.538 --> 00:24:27.886
So<00:24:26.779> we've<00:24:26.939> been<00:24:27.116> seed<00:24:27.501> funded<00:24:27.726> it.
00:24:28.078 --> 00:24:31.747
Now<00:24:28.302> we're<00:24:28.398> going<00:24:28.623> for<00:24:28.703> a<00:24:28.783> pre-Series<00:24:29.488> A<00:24:29.905> where<00:24:30.209> we<00:24:30.305> need<00:24:30.465> to<00:24:30.610> actually<00:24:30.930> expand<00:24:31.347> the<00:24:31.427> team.
00:24:32.292 --> 00:24:36.602
Uh,<00:24:32.388> the<00:24:32.516> whole<00:24:32.709> idea<00:24:33.029> was<00:24:33.350> to<00:24:33.494> show<00:24:33.814> that<00:24:34.151> we<00:24:34.311> can<00:24:34.551> create<00:24:35.032> this<00:24:35.336> AI<00:24:35.609> assistant<00:24:36.089> in<00:24:36.218> hiring.
00:24:37.259 --> 00:24:39.775
And<00:24:37.435> the<00:24:37.516> second<00:24:37.836> one<00:24:38.076> we've<00:24:38.237> done<00:24:38.573> is<00:24:38.717> the<00:24:38.797> personal<00:24:39.198> assistant.
00:24:40.464 --> 00:24:50.943
And<00:24:40.864> the<00:24:40.944> reason<00:24:41.345> for,<00:24:41.986> uh,<00:24:42.226> expanding<00:24:42.803> the<00:24:42.867> team<00:24:43.204> now<00:24:43.668> is<00:24:44.069> we<00:24:44.165> want<00:24:44.309> to<00:24:44.389> go<00:24:44.566> into<00:24:44.790> the<00:24:44.822> next<00:24:45.126> assistant,<00:24:45.607> which<00:24:45.783> is<00:24:45.912> the<00:24:45.992> customer<00:24:46.392> services,<00:24:47.193> uh,<00:24:47.514> assistant,<00:24:48.027> excuse<00:24:48.331> me,<00:24:48.956> and<00:24:49.453> then<00:24:49.677> the<00:24:49.757> marketing<00:24:50.414> and<00:24:50.494> sales.
00:24:51.471 --> 00:24:59.003
So<00:24:52.177> the<00:24:52.321> whole<00:24:52.577> idea<00:24:53.138> is<00:24:53.362> just<00:24:53.619> as<00:24:53.747> how<00:24:53.923> you<00:24:53.987> have<00:24:54.099> an<00:24:54.243> organizational<00:24:54.916> structure,<00:24:55.926> that<00:24:56.086> you<00:24:56.247> work<00:24:56.503> with,<00:24:56.727> you've<00:24:56.840> got<00:24:56.984> someone<00:24:57.304> in<00:24:57.385> sales,<00:24:57.865> in<00:24:58.026> marketing,<00:24:58.507> in<00:24:58.587> your<00:24:58.747> team.
00:24:59.468 --> 00:25:01.007
Now<00:24:59.629> you<00:24:59.709> can<00:24:59.837> have<00:24:59.965> a<00:25:00.029> Selly<00:25:00.430> to<00:25:00.590> leverage.
00:25:01.616 --> 00:25:12.259
And<00:25:01.793> what<00:25:01.953> that<00:25:02.097> would<00:25:02.273> mean<00:25:02.738> is<00:25:03.139> every<00:25:03.379> person,<00:25:04.341> um,<00:25:04.854> or<00:25:04.998> every<00:25:05.223> employee<00:25:06.200> in<00:25:06.345> an<00:25:06.441> organization<00:25:07.707> would<00:25:07.964> have<00:25:08.220> an<00:25:08.348> entire<00:25:09.005> team<00:25:09.967> that<00:25:10.192> they<00:25:10.352> could<00:25:10.528> direct<00:25:11.009> and<00:25:11.089> get<00:25:11.394> things<00:25:11.650> done<00:25:11.891> for<00:25:12.131> them.
00:25:12.997 --> 00:25:20.674
And<00:25:13.413> just<00:25:13.654> like<00:25:13.974> Sam<00:25:14.359> Altman<00:25:14.632> said,<00:25:15.161> um,<00:25:16.283> billion-dollar<00:25:16.860> companies<00:25:17.661> will,<00:25:18.366> uh,<00:25:18.543> start<00:25:18.943> to<00:25:19.040> emerge<00:25:19.504> by<00:25:19.665> just<00:25:19.985> one<00:25:20.226> person.
00:25:21.107 --> 00:25:30.077
And<00:25:21.251> the<00:25:21.348> way<00:25:21.572> to<00:25:21.732> do<00:25:21.909> this<00:25:22.309> is<00:25:22.614> to<00:25:22.774> have<00:25:23.111> a<00:25:23.127> team<00:25:23.431> of<00:25:24.377> AI<00:25:24.731> assistance<00:25:25.681> in<00:25:25.907> every<00:25:26.148> aspect,<00:25:26.712> legal,<00:25:27.050> sales,<00:25:27.517> marketing,<00:25:28.499> taking<00:25:28.821> care<00:25:29.046> of<00:25:29.207> all<00:25:29.304> your<00:25:29.449> business<00:25:29.787> needs.
00:25:30.576 --> 00:25:35.009
Well,<00:25:30.737> if<00:25:30.817> you<00:25:30.978> were<00:25:31.542> using<00:25:31.976> Xelly<00:25:32.266> yourself,<00:25:32.862> I'm<00:25:33.071> sure<00:25:33.313> you'd<00:25:33.474> need<00:25:33.635> a<00:25:33.651> lot<00:25:33.812> more<00:25:33.974> people<00:25:34.232> than<00:25:34.378> just<00:25:34.540> 12,<00:25:34.895> right?
00:25:35.106 --> 00:25:39.974
Isn't<00:25:35.316> it<00:25:35.413> fascinating<00:25:35.898> how<00:25:35.995> much<00:25:36.238> you<00:25:36.399> can<00:25:36.545> get<00:25:36.788> done<00:25:37.046> now<00:25:38.324> with,<00:25:38.809> uh,<00:25:39.003> so<00:25:39.310> few<00:25:39.618> people?
00:25:40.038 --> 00:25:45.522
I<00:25:40.054> mean,<00:25:40.216> 12<00:25:40.540> is<00:25:40.588> still<00:25:41.106> a,<00:25:41.154> you<00:25:41.186> know,<00:25:42.141> if<00:25:42.286> you<00:25:42.319> would<00:25:42.448> have<00:25:42.496> said<00:25:42.707> 12,<00:25:43.030> like<00:25:43.192> in<00:25:43.274> 2018,<00:25:44.029> I'd<00:25:44.078> have<00:25:44.177> been<00:25:44.292> like,<00:25:44.489> you<00:25:44.571> need<00:25:44.685> to<00:25:44.833> hire,<00:25:45.063> you<00:25:45.096> need<00:25:45.276> to<00:25:45.391> hire.
00:25:45.670 --> 00:25:46.818
Now<00:25:45.883> it's<00:25:45.982> like,<00:25:46.146> no,<00:25:46.540> you're<00:25:46.638> good.
00:25:48.633 --> 00:25:48.762
Yeah.
00:25:48.860 --> 00:25:50.641
Well,<00:25:49.119> look,<00:25:49.281> 12<00:25:49.669> is<00:25:49.848> still<00:25:49.993> a<00:25:50.026> small<00:25:50.269> number.
00:25:50.738 --> 00:26:01.250
And<00:25:50.965> I<00:25:51.046> think<00:25:51.305> part<00:25:51.532> of<00:25:51.629> that<00:25:52.018> is,<00:25:52.293> uh,<00:25:52.391> the<00:25:52.488> whole<00:25:52.698> drinking<00:25:52.909> our<00:25:53.071> own<00:25:53.119> champagne<00:25:53.249> and<00:25:53.298> what<00:25:53.346> we've<00:25:54.710> we've<00:25:54.790> done<00:25:54.982> with<00:25:55.367> the<00:25:55.639> Zelly<00:25:56.008> artificial<00:25:56.569> reality<00:25:57.130> engine,<00:25:58.364> it<00:25:58.493> kind<00:25:58.669> of<00:25:58.733> just<00:25:59.310> starts<00:25:59.711> to<00:25:59.855> exponentially<00:26:00.657> add<00:26:00.833> value.
00:26:01.314 --> 00:26:03.959
So<00:26:01.875> we<00:26:02.420> use<00:26:02.580> the<00:26:02.741> AI<00:26:02.997> to<00:26:03.077> help<00:26:03.318> us<00:26:03.398> write<00:26:03.638> code.
00:26:04.279 --> 00:26:06.027
We<00:26:04.360> use<00:26:04.520> the<00:26:04.744> AI<00:26:05.001> to<00:26:05.097> help<00:26:05.321> us<00:26:05.482> test.
00:26:06.283 --> 00:26:08.736
We<00:26:06.428> use<00:26:06.588> the<00:26:06.748> AI<00:26:07.005> to<00:26:07.069> help<00:26:07.325> us<00:26:07.405> do<00:26:07.550> our<00:26:07.790> product<00:26:08.127> requirements.
00:26:08.800 --> 00:26:11.910
So<00:26:08.912> all<00:26:09.024> of<00:26:09.153> these<00:26:09.249> different<00:26:09.714> areas,<00:26:10.275> we<00:26:10.371> use<00:26:10.467> Zelly<00:26:10.932> to<00:26:11.092> do<00:26:11.253> all<00:26:11.413> these<00:26:11.653> things.
00:26:12.519 --> 00:26:19.973
And<00:26:13.080> I<00:26:13.817> chatted<00:26:14.122> to<00:26:14.282> my<00:26:14.924> product<00:26:15.404> owner<00:26:15.725> yesterday,<00:26:16.847> and<00:26:17.472> he's<00:26:18.530> been<00:26:18.626> doing<00:26:18.851> fantastic<00:26:19.668> work.
00:26:20.053 --> 00:26:20.967
Everything's<00:26:20.454> just<00:26:20.694> great.
00:26:21.031 --> 00:26:30.056
And<00:26:21.111> I<00:26:21.127> said<00:26:21.368> to<00:26:21.416> him,<00:26:21.672> you<00:26:21.768> know,<00:26:22.057> one<00:26:22.169> of<00:26:22.329> the<00:26:22.378> things<00:26:22.538> I<00:26:22.554> noticed<00:26:22.891> about<00:26:23.195> you<00:26:23.580> is<00:26:24.542> you<00:26:25.023> always<00:26:25.519> deliver<00:26:25.840> on<00:26:25.984> what<00:26:26.145> you<00:26:26.241> commit<00:26:27.026> But<00:26:27.908> the<00:26:28.180> speed<00:26:28.742> at<00:26:28.870> which<00:26:28.966> you<00:26:29.126> do<00:26:29.222> it,<00:26:29.351> I<00:26:29.591> am<00:26:29.703> amazed.
00:26:30.104 --> 00:26:34.432
I<00:26:30.312> do<00:26:30.409> not<00:26:30.649> know<00:26:31.354> how<00:26:31.515> you<00:26:31.611> can<00:26:31.755> get<00:26:31.996> all<00:26:32.092> of<00:26:32.236> this<00:26:32.477> done<00:26:32.653> because<00:26:32.973> I've<00:26:33.198> worked<00:26:33.454> in<00:26:33.599> big<00:26:33.775> teams<00:26:34.160> before.
00:26:34.480 --> 00:26:38.472
I've<00:26:34.576> been<00:26:34.641> in<00:26:34.753> an<00:26:34.961> organization<00:26:35.699> that<00:26:36.324> had<00:26:36.821> 3,000<00:26:37.446> people<00:26:37.718> in<00:26:37.847> the<00:26:37.879> same<00:26:38.183> building.
00:26:39.049 --> 00:26:43.489
And<00:26:39.690> I<00:26:39.722> know<00:26:40.027> how<00:26:40.123> long<00:26:40.427> certain<00:26:40.748> things<00:26:40.989> can<00:26:41.149> take,<00:26:41.614> and<00:26:41.726> especially<00:26:42.175> with<00:26:42.255> the<00:26:42.431> best<00:26:42.672> of<00:26:42.768> people<00:26:43.137> as<00:26:43.297> well.
00:26:43.634 --> 00:26:44.868
So<00:26:43.874> it's<00:26:44.018> not<00:26:44.114> a<00:26:44.179> people<00:26:44.499> problem.
00:26:44.916 --> 00:26:46.567
It's<00:26:44.996> just<00:26:45.317> the<00:26:45.461> task<00:26:45.733> at<00:26:45.814> hand<00:26:46.038> takes<00:26:46.262> so<00:26:46.439> long.
00:26:47.080 --> 00:26:52.546
And<00:26:47.144> he<00:26:47.176> said<00:26:47.401> to<00:26:47.497> me,<00:26:47.801> you<00:26:47.865> know<00:26:47.962> what,<00:26:48.266> thanks<00:26:48.507> for<00:26:48.555> those<00:26:48.763> kind<00:26:49.004> words,<00:26:49.404> but<00:26:50.126> I'm<00:26:50.302> actually<00:26:50.767> using<00:26:51.184> Xelly<00:26:51.488> to<00:26:51.633> do<00:26:51.809> all<00:26:51.985> of<00:26:52.113> these<00:26:52.290> things.
00:26:52.610 --> 00:26:57.099
Before<00:26:52.915> I<00:26:53.155> even<00:26:54.390> submit<00:26:54.774> something,<00:26:55.400> I<00:26:55.656> get<00:26:55.816> Xelly<00:26:56.057> to<00:26:56.762> look<00:26:56.874> at<00:26:57.003> it.
00:26:57.163 --> 00:26:58.445
I<00:26:57.243> get<00:26:57.339> Xelly<00:26:57.580> to<00:26:57.660> get<00:26:57.884> me<00:26:57.964> started.
00:26:58.890 --> 00:27:01.140
And,<00:26:59.490> uh,<00:26:59.491> that's,<00:26:59.810> that's<00:26:59.830> why<00:27:00.030> I'm<00:27:00.190> able<00:27:00.330> to<00:27:00.410> do<00:27:00.550> it<00:27:00.730> so<00:27:00.790> quickly.
00:27:01.450 --> 00:27:02.240
It's<00:27:01.610> pretty<00:27:01.790> beautiful.
00:27:02.730 --> 00:27:04.840
It's<00:27:02.810> very,<00:27:03.150> very,<00:27:03.490> very,<00:27:03.830> very<00:27:03.990> cool.
00:27:05.070 --> 00:27:07.050
So<00:27:05.090> how,<00:27:05.530> I<00:27:05.670> mean,<00:27:05.810> how's<00:27:05.990> the<00:27:06.170> traction<00:27:06.430> been<00:27:06.629> so<00:27:06.870> far?
00:27:07.050 --> 00:27:07.870
You've<00:27:07.250> raised<00:27:07.470> money.
00:27:07.870 --> 00:27:12.330
Did<00:27:07.930> you<00:27:08.030> raise<00:27:08.270> from<00:27:08.710> local<00:27:09.150> VCs,<00:27:10.610> uh,<00:27:10.950> out-of-country<00:27:11.630> VCs?
00:27:12.330 --> 00:27:16.690
And<00:27:12.510> is<00:27:13.190> the<00:27:13.510> venture<00:27:13.710> capital<00:27:14.070> community<00:27:14.330> pretty<00:27:14.550> strong<00:27:14.810> there<00:27:15.150> in,<00:27:15.270> uh,<00:27:16.150> Australia?
00:27:16.690 --> 00:27:21.370
I'm<00:27:16.950> sure<00:27:17.050> the<00:27:17.290> Atlassian<00:27:17.690> guys<00:27:18.050> are<00:27:18.530> investing<00:27:19.190> in,<00:27:19.650> you<00:27:19.730> know,<00:27:19.870> companies<00:27:20.270> there<00:27:20.510> and<00:27:20.590> things<00:27:20.750> like<00:27:20.930> that.
00:27:21.370 --> 00:27:21.810
Yeah.
00:27:21.810 --> 00:27:22.130
Yeah.
00:27:22.130 --> 00:27:26.110
So<00:27:22.250> the<00:27:22.470> Australian<00:27:23.270> VC<00:27:24.030> market,<00:27:24.650> uh,<00:27:25.070> is,<00:27:25.630> is<00:27:25.631> quite<00:27:25.770> big.
00:27:26.110 --> 00:27:28.550
There's<00:27:26.210> quite<00:27:26.470> a<00:27:26.670> big<00:27:26.810> group<00:27:27.030> and<00:27:27.430> we've<00:27:27.870> raised<00:27:28.210> $5.5<00:27:28.490> million<00:27:28.510> from<00:27:28.530> Australia.
00:27:31.027 --> 00:27:37.887
And<00:27:31.283> it's<00:27:31.427> from<00:27:31.668> high<00:27:31.780> net<00:27:32.069> worth<00:27:32.309> individuals,<00:27:33.191> uh,<00:27:33.687> without<00:27:33.944> experience<00:27:34.729> in,<00:27:35.114> uh,<00:27:35.467> some,<00:27:35.707> some<00:27:35.851> good<00:27:35.996> successful<00:27:36.653> exits<00:27:36.909> in<00:27:37.118> Australia<00:27:37.534> as<00:27:37.775> well.
00:27:38.720 --> 00:27:44.475
Uh,<00:27:39.041> yeah,<00:27:39.201> but<00:27:39.297> in<00:27:39.378> terms<00:27:39.634> of<00:27:39.778> VCs,<00:27:40.339> there's,<00:27:40.580> there's<00:27:40.740> a<00:27:40.756> lot<00:27:40.980> of<00:27:41.125> VCs<00:27:41.622> that<00:27:42.086> are,<00:27:42.647> are<00:27:42.968> willing<00:27:43.144> to<00:27:43.289> come<00:27:43.449> to<00:27:43.545> the<00:27:43.625> party<00:27:43.866> in<00:27:44.010> Australia.
00:27:44.587 --> 00:27:54.252
So<00:27:44.891> whether<00:27:45.052> you're<00:27:45.212> in<00:27:45.308> the<00:27:45.388> Gold<00:27:45.629> Coast<00:27:46.045> or<00:27:46.126> Sydney,<00:27:47.055> uh,<00:27:47.376> there's,<00:27:47.712> there's,<00:27:48.033> there's<00:27:48.514> a<00:27:48.578> few<00:27:48.754> of<00:27:48.899> them<00:27:49.011> that<00:27:49.171> you<00:27:49.235> could<00:27:49.379> actually<00:27:49.636> get<00:27:49.700> in<00:27:49.860> contact<00:27:50.341> with<00:27:50.902> and,<00:27:51.303> uh,<00:27:51.623> they're,<00:27:52.040> they're<00:27:52.184> really,<00:27:53.066> uh,<00:27:53.242> willing<00:27:53.483> to<00:27:53.579> take<00:27:53.803> it<00:27:53.883> forward.
00:27:54.428 --> 00:27:58.339
And<00:27:54.829> a<00:27:54.909> lot<00:27:55.005> of<00:27:55.086> them<00:27:55.310> do<00:27:55.422> have<00:27:55.647> experience<00:27:56.432> with<00:27:56.528> taking<00:27:56.849> Australia<00:27:57.265> to<00:27:57.394> the<00:27:57.426> rest<00:27:57.746> of<00:27:57.826> the<00:27:57.955> world<00:27:58.211> as<00:27:58.291> well.
00:27:58.836 --> 00:28:01.370
Yeah,<00:27:58.917> Australia<00:27:59.414> is<00:27:59.494> certainly<00:27:59.895> punching<00:28:00.280> well<00:28:00.456> above<00:28:00.777> its<00:28:00.937> weight<00:28:01.097> class.
00:28:01.418 --> 00:28:08.666
It,<00:28:01.562> it's<00:28:01.739> pretty<00:28:01.963> remarkable<00:28:02.525> what,<00:28:02.925> uh,<00:28:03.904> what<00:28:04.128> the<00:28:04.224> country<00:28:04.609> is<00:28:04.769> doing<00:28:05.411> and<00:28:05.651> the<00:28:05.764> number<00:28:06.148> of<00:28:06.293> tech<00:28:06.485> startups<00:28:06.854> that<00:28:06.934> are<00:28:07.014> coming<00:28:07.335> out<00:28:07.431> of<00:28:07.495> there<00:28:07.736> and<00:28:07.832> just<00:28:07.993> the<00:28:08.073> whole<00:28:08.233> ecosystem.
00:28:08.714 --> 00:28:09.789
It,<00:28:08.874> it,<00:28:09.035> it's<00:28:09.195> pretty<00:28:09.356> profound.
00:28:10.382 --> 00:28:13.493
Uh,<00:28:10.638> what<00:28:10.751> does<00:28:10.879> a<00:28:10.959> typical<00:28:11.344> day<00:28:11.520> look<00:28:11.665> like<00:28:11.905> for<00:28:12.066> you<00:28:12.242> as<00:28:12.402> CEO<00:28:12.867> of<00:28:12.963> this<00:28:13.124> company?
00:28:14.503 --> 00:28:24.910
CEO<00:28:14.808> of<00:28:14.984> a<00:28:15.064> startup<00:28:15.593> is,<00:28:16.074> uh,<00:28:16.652> is,<00:28:17.069> is<00:28:17.774> exactly<00:28:18.175> what<00:28:18.399> you'd<00:28:18.496> expect<00:28:18.977> in<00:28:19.121> terms<00:28:19.522> of,<00:28:19.843> uh,<00:28:20.195> the<00:28:20.340> books<00:28:20.580> that<00:28:20.725> you<00:28:20.821> might<00:28:21.045> read<00:28:21.206> from<00:28:21.398> Zero<00:28:21.703> to<00:28:21.863> One,<00:28:22.328> Peter<00:28:22.585> Thiel's,<00:28:23.130> uh,<00:28:23.611> early<00:28:23.787> experience,<00:28:24.349> et<00:28:24.429> cetera.
00:28:25.455 --> 00:28:27.411
Uh,<00:28:25.792> so<00:28:26.497> I'm<00:28:26.690> gonna<00:28:26.754> tell<00:28:26.914> you<00:28:26.978> what<00:28:27.091> it's<00:28:27.235> not.
00:28:27.700 --> 00:28:30.185
It's<00:28:27.876> not<00:28:28.037> the<00:28:28.181> glamorous<00:28:28.598> CEO<00:28:29.079> that<00:28:29.239> you<00:28:29.319> see<00:28:29.640> in<00:28:29.720> these<00:28:29.961> enterprises.
00:28:30.250 --> 00:28:35.008
Enterprises,<00:28:31.003> you<00:28:31.099> pretty<00:28:31.259> much<00:28:31.483> have<00:28:31.740> to<00:28:31.884> do,<00:28:32.509> um,<00:28:33.246> anything<00:28:33.582> and<00:28:33.726> everything<00:28:34.111> that<00:28:34.271> you<00:28:34.303> need<00:28:34.688> to<00:28:34.784> do.
00:28:35.473 --> 00:28:37.588
And<00:28:35.809> the<00:28:35.873> reason<00:28:36.146> for<00:28:36.242> that<00:28:36.594> is<00:28:36.931> it's<00:28:37.155> all<00:28:37.267> speed.
00:28:37.668 --> 00:28:38.469
It's<00:28:37.860> speed<00:28:38.052> to<00:28:38.133> market.
00:28:38.517 --> 00:28:39.799
You<00:28:38.597> want<00:28:38.677> to<00:28:38.773> do<00:28:38.934> things<00:28:39.254> very<00:28:39.478> quickly.
00:28:40.232 --> 00:28:43.821
So,<00:28:40.921> um,<00:28:41.642> I,<00:28:41.962> I<00:28:42.042> like<00:28:42.218> to<00:28:42.282> say<00:28:42.459> that<00:28:42.555> I<00:28:42.619> serve<00:28:43.100> as<00:28:43.196> CEO.
00:28:43.965 --> 00:28:46.432
It's,<00:28:44.205> it's,<00:28:44.397> it's<00:28:44.542> a<00:28:44.558> title<00:28:45.022> to<00:28:45.327> keep<00:28:45.583> everything<00:28:45.984> together.
00:28:46.929 --> 00:28:55.165
It's<00:28:47.041> a<00:28:47.169> way<00:28:47.346> to,<00:28:48.051> uh,<00:28:48.307> communicate<00:28:49.092> to<00:28:49.348> shareholders<00:28:49.909> and<00:28:50.069> investors,<00:28:51.111> and<00:28:51.255> at<00:28:51.335> the<00:28:51.415> same<00:28:51.672> time<00:28:52.056> bring<00:28:52.232> the<00:28:52.313> team<00:28:52.553> together<00:28:53.258> and<00:28:53.578> rally<00:28:53.899> the<00:28:53.931> team<00:28:54.235> towards<00:28:54.620> the<00:28:54.700> same<00:28:54.956> vision.
00:28:55.902 --> 00:29:06.384
And,<00:28:56.382> uh,<00:28:56.559> for<00:28:56.719> me,<00:28:56.879> the<00:28:56.959> typical<00:28:57.344> day<00:28:57.456> starts<00:28:57.920> with,<00:28:58.385> uh,<00:28:59.525> pretty<00:28:59.671> much<00:29:00.561> starts<00:29:00.803> the<00:29:00.900> night<00:29:01.127> before,<00:29:01.386> actually,<00:29:03.408> planning<00:29:03.715> the<00:29:03.796> day<00:29:03.974> ahead<00:29:04.443> and<00:29:04.621> making<00:29:04.847> sure<00:29:05.025> everything's<00:29:05.430> ready<00:29:05.656> for<00:29:05.769> the<00:29:05.850> next<00:29:06.157> day.
00:29:07.791 --> 00:29:13.880
But<00:29:07.888> taking<00:29:08.131> care<00:29:08.293> of<00:29:08.455> the<00:29:08.536> people<00:29:08.924> in<00:29:09.021> the<00:29:09.102> team,<00:29:09.491> for<00:29:09.653> me,<00:29:09.831> that's<00:29:10.074> the<00:29:10.155> biggest<00:29:10.479> thing<00:29:10.592> because<00:29:10.803> that's<00:29:11.046> the<00:29:11.143> people<00:29:11.418> who<00:29:11.451> take<00:29:11.710> care<00:29:11.839> of<00:29:11.937> the<00:29:12.001> customers,<00:29:12.584> that's<00:29:12.746> the<00:29:12.827> people<00:29:13.086> who<00:29:13.135> make<00:29:13.394> things<00:29:13.621> happen.
00:29:14.630 --> 00:29:21.909
So<00:29:15.293> my<00:29:15.471> priority<00:29:15.940> is<00:29:16.037> to<00:29:16.118> make<00:29:16.279> sure<00:29:16.522> that<00:29:16.765> everyone<00:29:17.088> has<00:29:17.396> what<00:29:17.557> they<00:29:17.590> need<00:29:18.059> to<00:29:18.156> be<00:29:18.301> able<00:29:18.463> to<00:29:18.965> move<00:29:19.191> forward,<00:29:19.984> remove<00:29:20.307> any<00:29:20.663> obstacles,<00:29:21.278> remove<00:29:21.520> any<00:29:21.698> blockers.
00:29:22.878 --> 00:29:28.791
And<00:29:23.074> that<00:29:23.188> requires<00:29:24.004> sometimes<00:29:24.428> a<00:29:24.477> lot<00:29:24.574> of<00:29:24.803> admin<00:29:24.986> in<00:29:25.467> a<00:29:25.628> lot<00:29:25.708> of<00:29:25.804> talking<00:29:26.190> to<00:29:26.270> other<00:29:26.447> people,<00:29:26.848> being<00:29:27.073> that<00:29:27.249> bridge,<00:29:27.635> a<00:29:27.651> lot<00:29:27.795> of<00:29:27.892> negotiations.
00:29:29.481 --> 00:29:39.660
And<00:29:30.942> the<00:29:31.022> team<00:29:31.408> will<00:29:31.584> need<00:29:31.889> something<00:29:32.451> to<00:29:33.094> move<00:29:33.254> forward,<00:29:33.832> whether<00:29:34.153> it's<00:29:35.261> other<00:29:35.422> software<00:29:35.984> or<00:29:36.144> other<00:29:36.401> vendors<00:29:36.802> that<00:29:36.963> we<00:29:37.043> need<00:29:37.204> to<00:29:37.348> chat<00:29:37.621> to<00:29:38.874> or<00:29:39.114> customers.
00:29:39.998 --> 00:29:46.083
I<00:29:40.495> do<00:29:40.656> get<00:29:40.800> involved<00:29:41.218> in<00:29:41.298> talking<00:29:41.619> with<00:29:41.764> customers<00:29:42.261> as<00:29:42.422> well,<00:29:42.984> get<00:29:43.144> involved<00:29:43.690> in<00:29:43.867> a<00:29:43.931> little<00:29:44.108> bit<00:29:44.252> of<00:29:44.429> the<00:29:45.135> technical<00:29:45.633> design.
00:29:46.821 --> 00:29:49.518
And<00:29:47.463> I'd<00:29:48.298> say<00:29:48.523> all<00:29:48.668> areas<00:29:48.940> of<00:29:49.069> the<00:29:49.165> business.
00:29:49.791 --> 00:30:00.918
And<00:29:51.973> I<00:29:52.037> think<00:29:52.198> the<00:29:52.294> biggest<00:29:52.615> thing,<00:29:53.160> yeah,<00:29:53.721> I<00:29:54.057> do<00:29:54.202> want<00:29:54.298> to<00:29:54.362> stress<00:29:54.698> is<00:29:54.779> people,<00:29:55.163> because<00:29:55.420> what<00:29:55.564> I<00:29:55.580> found<00:29:56.045> is<00:29:57.488> you<00:29:57.520> can<00:29:57.808> get<00:29:57.969> skills,<00:29:59.027> but<00:29:59.732> you<00:29:59.764> need<00:29:59.972> the<00:30:00.053> right<00:30:00.309> people<00:30:00.614> on<00:30:00.694> the<00:30:00.726> team.
00:30:00.966 --> 00:30:04.044
And<00:30:01.095> the<00:30:01.127> moment<00:30:01.415> you<00:30:01.447> have<00:30:01.607> the<00:30:01.672> right<00:30:01.912> people,<00:30:02.617> people<00:30:02.858> rally<00:30:03.114> towards<00:30:03.435> that<00:30:03.515> same<00:30:03.756> vision.
00:30:04.381 --> 00:30:07.859
And<00:30:05.182> I'm<00:30:05.839> not<00:30:06.080> at<00:30:06.224> that<00:30:06.384> point<00:30:06.625> where<00:30:06.737> I<00:30:06.785> can<00:30:06.962> delegate<00:30:07.507> everything.
00:30:08.725 --> 00:30:10.456
I<00:30:08.869> try<00:30:09.126> to<00:30:09.270> delegate<00:30:09.607> as<00:30:09.751> much<00:30:09.927> as<00:30:10.071> I<00:30:10.152> can.
00:30:10.504 --> 00:30:13.790
I<00:30:10.568> try<00:30:10.729> to<00:30:10.825> do<00:30:11.033> the<00:30:11.210> old<00:30:11.434> quadrant<00:30:11.915> of<00:30:12.412> do,<00:30:12.572> decide,<00:30:12.973> delegate,<00:30:13.454> defer.
00:30:14.175 --> 00:30:17.381
I<00:30:14.255> think<00:30:14.416> that's<00:30:15.458> how<00:30:15.602> I<00:30:15.858> organize<00:30:16.660> everything<00:30:16.964> that<00:30:17.061> I<00:30:17.205> do.
00:30:18.183 --> 00:30:24.402
But<00:30:18.343> for<00:30:18.487> the<00:30:18.551> most<00:30:18.824> part,<00:30:19.369> I<00:30:19.545> think<00:30:20.331> this<00:30:20.491> role<00:30:20.892> in<00:30:20.988> this<00:30:21.212> organization,<00:30:22.431> there's<00:30:22.880> still<00:30:23.537> a<00:30:23.553> fair<00:30:23.937> bit<00:30:24.034> of<00:30:24.194> doing.
00:30:24.659 --> 00:30:25.813
That<00:30:25.252> makes<00:30:25.588> sense.
00:30:26.037 --> 00:30:28.121
Hey,<00:30:26.294> Denver,<00:30:26.582> so<00:30:26.823> great<00:30:26.999> to<00:30:27.720> connect<00:30:27.961> with<00:30:28.041> you.
00:30:28.201 --> 00:30:34.933
We<00:30:28.361> end<00:30:28.506> every<00:30:28.682> interview<00:30:28.922> with<00:30:29.067> the<00:30:29.147> same<00:30:29.387> question,<00:30:30.365> and<00:30:30.445> that<00:30:30.669> is<00:30:30.766> at<00:30:30.846> CEO.com,<00:30:31.487> we<00:30:31.647> believe<00:30:31.872> the<00:30:31.952> chances<00:30:32.352> one<00:30:32.593> gives<00:30:33.074> is<00:30:33.154> just<00:30:33.298> as<00:30:33.410> important<00:30:33.715> as<00:30:33.795> the<00:30:33.891> chances<00:30:34.292> one<00:30:34.452> takes.
00:30:35.558 --> 00:30:38.139
When<00:30:35.734> you<00:30:35.895> hear<00:30:36.055> that,<00:30:36.279> who<00:30:36.376> gave<00:30:36.600> you<00:30:36.696> a<00:30:36.760> chance<00:30:37.017> to<00:30:37.097> get<00:30:37.257> you<00:30:37.353> to<00:30:37.482> where<00:30:37.658> you<00:30:37.882> are<00:30:37.978> today?
00:30:38.764 --> 00:30:40.495
Oh,<00:30:38.860> that's—<00:30:39.325> I<00:30:39.742> love<00:30:39.982> that<00:30:40.126> question.
00:30:40.783 --> 00:30:41.441
I<00:30:40.799> love<00:30:40.960> that<00:30:41.104> question.
00:30:41.921 --> 00:30:45.720
So,<00:30:43.348> so<00:30:43.492> there<00:30:43.572> was,<00:30:43.749> there<00:30:43.861> was,<00:30:44.214> there's<00:30:45.111> a<00:30:45.175> few<00:30:45.432> people.
00:30:45.816 --> 00:30:50.785
I<00:30:45.897> can't,<00:30:46.313> I<00:30:46.393> can't<00:30:46.698> put<00:30:46.858> it<00:30:47.019> down<00:30:47.275> to<00:30:47.355> just<00:30:47.596> one<00:30:47.820> person<00:30:48.108> because<00:30:48.782> there<00:30:48.862> were<00:30:49.022> lots<00:30:49.198> of<00:30:49.279> different<00:30:49.519> chances<00:30:49.984> that<00:30:50.080> got<00:30:50.304> me<00:30:50.336> to<00:30:50.481> where<00:30:50.705> I<00:30:50.737> am.
00:30:50.930 --> 00:30:51.941
Them.
00:30:52.005 --> 00:31:00.306
But<00:30:52.262> I<00:30:52.487> do<00:30:52.647> want<00:30:52.776> to<00:30:52.824> mention<00:30:53.290> there<00:30:53.434> was,<00:30:53.691> there<00:30:53.835> was<00:30:54.012> one<00:30:54.237> person,<00:30:54.638> Rob<00:30:54.959> Oliver,<00:30:55.441> and<00:30:55.698> interesting<00:30:56.099> enough,<00:30:56.420> he<00:30:56.501> was<00:30:56.725> involved<00:30:57.303> with<00:30:58.010> Microsoft<00:30:58.572> coming<00:30:58.829> to<00:30:58.909> Australia<00:30:59.390> in<00:30:59.535> 1987.
00:31:00.354 --> 00:31:06.695
So<00:31:00.659> he's<00:31:00.819> quite<00:31:01.012> seasoned,<00:31:02.104> and<00:31:02.762> which<00:31:02.987> means<00:31:03.308> he<00:31:04.351> really<00:31:04.592> understands<00:31:05.475> the<00:31:05.572> business<00:31:05.925> space<00:31:06.198> really<00:31:06.439> well.
00:31:07.739 --> 00:31:09.666
He's<00:31:08.044> actually<00:31:08.301> been<00:31:08.461> a<00:31:08.542> bit<00:31:08.686> of<00:31:08.799> a<00:31:08.847> mentor<00:31:09.345> to<00:31:09.489> me.
00:31:09.971 --> 00:31:15.205
And<00:31:10.308> he's<00:31:10.549> the<00:31:10.629> person<00:31:11.095> that<00:31:11.496> believed<00:31:11.913> not<00:31:12.074> in<00:31:12.154> just<00:31:12.379> the<00:31:12.539> idea,<00:31:12.957> but<00:31:13.198> believed<00:31:13.583> in<00:31:13.679> me<00:31:13.840> that<00:31:14.000> I<00:31:14.081> can<00:31:14.241> take<00:31:14.466> this<00:31:14.627> forward<00:31:14.867> as<00:31:15.028> well.
00:31:15.686 --> 00:31:18.416
So<00:31:15.847> there's<00:31:16.890> lots<00:31:17.131> of<00:31:17.211> people<00:31:17.436> that<00:31:17.516> have<00:31:17.757> given<00:31:17.998> me<00:31:18.078> a<00:31:18.094> chance.
00:31:18.480 --> 00:31:24.643
There's,<00:31:18.721> there's<00:31:19.122> probably<00:31:19.443> more<00:31:19.555> names<00:31:19.877> that<00:31:20.005> I<00:31:20.150> name,<00:31:20.808> uh,<00:31:20.984> but<00:31:21.209> Rob<00:31:21.530> Olver<00:31:21.947> is<00:31:22.188> one<00:31:22.412> person<00:31:22.733> that<00:31:22.830> I'd<00:31:22.974> like<00:31:23.151> to,<00:31:23.295> I'd<00:31:23.712> like<00:31:23.873> to<00:31:24.017> actually<00:31:24.338> mention.
00:31:25.301 --> 00:31:25.927
That's<00:31:25.478> incredible.
00:31:26.024 --> 00:31:27.051
Denver,<00:31:26.280> thank<00:31:26.505> you<00:31:26.585> so<00:31:26.698> much.
00:31:27.147 --> 00:31:29.105
